I did see a post on this earlier but it's got a bit lost in all the Wirtz excitement and I think
It deserves another mention.
There has been some other news today that I think is perhaps more noteworthy - at least for anybody who has regularly visited Anfield.
After five decades at the club after the game on Sunday the stadium announcer and voice of Anfield George Sephton will step down and retire.
Thanks for being a part of so many wonderful memories George.
Enjoy the retirement.

George is a LEGEND! And is one of the great music lovers in Liverpool as well. He grew up on John Peel.

He is Mr Anfield. The biggest compliment we can give him is he makes it feel like your home. The moment you hear him you know your home. Big loss but happy retirement you’ve earned it
