A connected rumour is doing the rounds.
An deal has been agred for Nunez to leave the club, no idea who. There is also the expectation of an offer arriving for Jota in the next week or 2. Due to this we are expected to make a move for a certain Swedish striker.
The captain said its going to be a "big" summer and it sounds like its going to be.
Oh and a little bit of info on midfield. Slot wants to run the rule over Bajcetic before making a decision on a move, as he is seen as a potential rotation option with Grav.
As always take this how you will as the info comes from non-related Liverpool football connections.

Hopefully that certain Swedish striker is in Tyneside and not Lisbon.
25 May 2025 14:00:16
My sources say it's Gustaf Nillsson.
25 May 2025 14:18:53
Very intrigued to see who is in for Darwin and Jota.
{Ed025's Note - Accrington and Chesterfield..
25 May 2025 14:23:04
Cheers, Thefields.
Isak in an LFC shirt would be something wouldn't it?
A logical position to have a look to see where Bajcetic after his loans.
He has always had the raw ingredients.
But, does he have the minerals to fight his way to the very top of the game?
We shall see.

Good news re Baj, he deserves a proper go and could be the ideal rotation partner for Grav, as he is a little more strong in the tackle but has similar evasion techniques and body swerves.
If Baj could play 25 games for us, even if he does not quite make the grade, he will surely be worth 40m.
As for a swedish striker, is Isak the best choice for 130m? Is he going to be a sturdy and reliable player? Isn't it best to find the next Isak, who has a different physical make up?
Gykores is not the one.

When I see Newcastle linked to Joao Pedro it makes me wonder if they’re moving Isak on.
Isak, Wirtz, Frimpong and Kerkez - ooof!
25 May 2025 15:11:25
I'd take Mateo Retegui in place of Swedish striker duo.
just for his Model looks?.
25 May 2025 15:53:51
Mateo Retegui = hey, you guys!
25 May 2025 16:11:58
Calum Wilson is moving on so they need a striker. My Newcastle buddy said Isak has groin issues and may need an op when the seasons done.
25 May 2025 18:00:59
Well it looks like Baj might get the first 3 games of next season to prove himself after Gravs straight red!
25 May 2025 19:05:44
Gravenberch only misses the first match, wasn't serious foul play.
25 May 2025 19:08:36
It will only be a 1 match ban Shipley as it wasn’t for violent conduct.
25 May 2025 19:19:22
Isak going nowhere and anyway, he is a risky buy due to his injury record prior to Newcastle.
We need a leftfield striker option, a future star to rapidly develop, like Mane or Mo.
25 May 2025 19:24:15
Mateo Retegui = 25 goals in 35 league games.
25 May 2025 19:37:10
Isak won’t leave Newcastle this year and in all fairness could he handle being in a slots team?
25 May 2025 20:20:27
Hopefully whoever is looking at making a bid for them both didn’t watch the game today, or the last couple of months ?
Thought we could offer Curtis Jones and cash to Crystal Palace for Adam Wharton but Slot had to leave him on all game today so put a dent in my completely made up reality ?.
25 May 2025 22:45:22
I hope the Swede is not that lad who bombed at Coventry.
I’d rather keep Darwin.
25 May 2025 23:23:15
If it is a 1 match ban, would it be for the community shield or the league?
25 May 2025 23:25:45
Gyokeres?
Was not far off a 1 in 2 strike rate at Coventry, and his strike rate at Sporting is twice what Nunez' was at Benfica, including 6 goals in 8 CL games this season.
Plus his strike rate for Sweden has been superior to Isak
£70m isn't a horrendous outlay for a player arguably about to hit his peak years, but it'll be more about whether Slot wants that type of Forward ultimately.
25 May 2025 23:59:40
Pity, we will miss Grav, has to be the Community Shield he will miss, Slot will probably go with Jones, not my choice but hey.
26 May 2025 04:59:39
Let’s have some accuracy about Gyokeres when he played in England for Championship clubs:
Swansea (loan) 2020/ 1 - 1 goal in 12 games
Coventry (loan) 2020/ 1 - 3 goals in 19 games
Coventry 2021-3 - 40 goals in 97 games.
In this country he scored 44 goals in 128 games (1 in 2.9)
For Coventry he scored 43 goals in 116 games (1 in 2.7 games) .
Quite a long way off “1 in 2” strike rate, a lot closer to 1 in 3 for Championship clubs.
Darwin has 40 goals in 143 games for Liverpool. A totally different level.
Gyokeres takes us backwards, it’s as stupid a transfer as Rickie Lambert.
26 May 2025 06:09:30
Before moving to sporting gyokeres was the standout forward in the championship, Ron, he had 21 goals and 10 assists, those are better numbers than Ollie Watkins who got a huge move to villa. Watkins is maybe better in overall play and work rate but gyokeres clearly is far from a slouch in either of those departments.
Gyokeres is strong, likes to take defenders on, is a menace in behind and in the box, and is surprisingly very good in small spaces. Not saying he is right for us but he isn't the donkey you seem to think he is.
26 May 2025 09:11:09
Rickie Lambert had a good season in the premier league, 14 goals in 39 games (1 goal in 2.8 games) . We bought him. He took us backwards.
Sometimes the stats don’t lie, Gyokeres has found his level in Portugal, let’s hope Arsenal buy him.
26 May 2025 09:28:42
I’m in agreement with Ron here. The Portuguese league is relatively poor and Gyokeres could easily be Nunez part 2 ( and I so wanted him to come good) . I’m happy to leave him for Arsenal to waste money on.
26 May 2025 10:26:15
I saw something about Cherki to Arsenal, nothing concrete but they looking at him for striker.
26 May 2025 10:29:03
I’m with you Ron, Rickie lambert mk2.
26 May 2025 11:03:46
Lucho came from the Portuguese league too, he hasn't been half bad, Neves went to PSG and looks like one of the best midfielders in the world, Nuno Mendes looks the best left back in the world and he came from Sporting. Folks on here seem to be adamant in not buying anyone outside the prem it seems, Wirtz wins duels in Bundesliga and it doesn't count, and every other league from eredivisie to ligue 1 to serie a is rubbish evidently.
Oh and sure Rickie Lambert had a good season in the prem and I do think he was a decent player, but Gyokeres has played well in the champions league as well, so I'm not sure that's really such a good comparison on your part.
26 May 2025 13:24:28
Champions league is not the premier league.
You get to play against Brest and the like.
Gyokeres did ok in the championship, he didn’t pull up any trees.
He’s an Arsenal signing for sure.
