Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid must be the clubs Akira is on about as Real want Trent early and Atletico wants Nunez. Mbappe, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Alvarez.
28 May 2025 19:49:08
Mbappe, imagine! Haha.
28 May 2025 20:54:23
so looking at this quote
There is one striker everyone is missing who is world class and liverpool are interested in. 7th June because that's when the club representatives meet to discuss a couple of players.
It will be a coup if successful.
Club representives to meet a couple of players, that sounds like Newcastle wanting Gomez, Quansah, maybe Elliot for ISAK and some funds.
28 May 2025 21:33:01
What about Barcelona wanting Diaz. Ferran Torres maybe?
28 May 2025 22:09:02
Its very out of the box, however I haven't seen anyone mention Ousmane Dembele or Barcola for example?
28 May 2025 22:09:15
Rodrygo is available and has been, at times world class.
28 May 2025 22:10:22
"HUGO BOSS" Eki-"TICK" a, "TICKS" all the boxes!
28 May 2025 22:15:21
Except the “World Class” box 007.
28 May 2025 22:30:31
ekitike is not an edwards signing at the price mentioned, he's far too much of a punt.
28 May 2025 23:06:05
Harry Kane has exit clauses that I think kick in this summer and then lower again next summer.
Not at all an FSG signing, or is he? Thinking Thiago Alcantara esque?
Would also make me think of when Man Utd bought Van Persie.
28 May 2025 23:16:39
Désiré Doué?
That would be a nice suprise. Not sure PSG would sell?
28 May 2025 23:51:43
F Torres is not a no9, he’s winger primarily, he imo not good enough, Rodrigo is a RW at RM, has played no9 but not going to hold play to bring others in, however Isak was a RW look at him.
Alvarez we know wanted out of uk. Vinny is a LW not a 9.
Dembele I don’t think it’s him wages and attitude (think he’s at his choice club) Barcola I believe is LW / another false 9.
Re Martinez at inter? Age maybe an issue, but beware cos the ex Chelsea lad (twice) looked world class in Italy and rubbish in uk twice (can’t remember name Belgium lad) .
29 May 2025 00:27:37
Id absolutely love Doue or Barcola but no way would Psg part with their princes. High high ceilings for both of those two. Brilliant to watch.
29 May 2025 01:12:27
If we are sniffing around Inter I really hope its Thuram.
29 May 2025 02:18:28
How about Inter striker - Martinez?
Is he world class?
29 May 2025 03:30:38
Can’t think of any world class strikers that are available tbh so bit of a strange post that one. Only world class strikers in world football imo are Mbappe, Haaland, lewa (old), Kane. Real shortage of quality CFs.
29 May 2025 05:48:02
These posts listing players we could be looking at are getting kind of ridiculous. I don't think I want any of these players- I would absolutely hate to have the likes of mbappe, haaland and vini at the club- besides maybe thuram and lautaro, neither of whom would move anyway. Isak has the right personality and the he right skillset, but he doesn't look likely to move. Sesko, if his price could be got down to 50-70 mill, would be the best bet.
29 May 2025 06:06:24
With Diaz out for Saudi, that may mean we will revisit Gordon on the 7th June. Quansah would be offered and we may try for Isak too according to Akira.
29 May 2025 07:19:18
It's Chris Wood.
29 May 2025 08:15:30
Relax, lads. It’s Bob Latchford.
29 May 2025 08:51:02
Ron Keague,
Did you utter the same when Salah, VVD and Gravy were signed! if so a scout should be your career?
Whoever signs it will not be my choice or yours but Arne's that matters as LFC has the final say.
29 May 2025 09:44:03
People complaining about Nunez' finishing will not be best pleased with Ekitike. He is fast and skilful but can be very wasteful and is not the best in the air despite being tall. That being said Slot seems to want dribblers who can carry the ball and win one on one duels all over the pitch, given the purchase of Wirtz, Frimpong, Kerkez. I agree that in the modern game this seems to be a quality that is more and more important given tactics can only get you so far against a team that is willing to sit deep and compact, to create chaos you need individual quality to beat a man and draw defences into the space that's created. Isak and Ekitike are both dribblers and carriers, so in that aspect it kind of makes sense.
With Wirtz in the left half space causing havoc (Kerkez overlapping) and Salah in the right half space causing havoc (Frimpong overlapping) and a center forward who can dribble and carry himself able to drop deep or switch with the other forwards, we would be chaos incarnate.
29 May 2025 10:06:59
He's not world class in my eyes, but I've not seen anyone mention Dusan Vlahovic.
29 May 2025 11:28:09
I don't know anything about him, but stats and age look to be a good fit and also not mentioned might be Moise Kean?
29 May 2025 11:31:40
Hang on, Moise Keen played for Everton, so that rules out world class.
29 May 2025 12:24:31
It rules out any kind of class ManCalledHorse ?.
29 May 2025 13:11:33
007 -
Gravenberch “yes” and I still don’t know if I’d call him ‘world class’
VVD - “no” I always thought he was world class, the game was too easy for him. I’d watched him live for Southampton and you could easily see it. Some called him “lazy” and it was because it was so easy for him.
Salah - “no”, to be honest I hadn’t seen much of him so I don’t say he wasn’t world class. I didn’t really have an opinion on him. If someone would have asked me at the time then I probably would have said he’s not world class, but at the time I didn’t have a clue.
Some players are world class, Ekitike isn’t. He may get there one day. Thierry Henry wasn’t world class for Juventus or for Arsenal in his first half of the season. He developed at Arsenal.
