A fun one from Twitter, no doubt make believe.
: Liverpool want Víctor Osimhen (26) but Napoli won't make any discounts on his £64M release clause - #LFC have offered an equal exchange deal including Chiesa and Nuñez for Osimhen but Di Laurentiis wants: Chiesa + Núñez + £17M in order to make a deal,
@ValterDeMaggio
.

Hughes and Edwards do not bend to the will of dodgy CEO's wills.
The Italians can F right off if they think they are going to chisel us down.
21 Jun 2025 16:55:18
He’s a tough negotiator but it seems we would be getting our pants pulled down a little bit in my opinion.
21 Jun 2025 17:26:41
Simple no.
Chiesa could get 15mill
Nunez 50 mill
That's 65 mill
So we are not adding 17 for a player that wants out. We can wait them out.
21 Jun 2025 17:34:17
Italian papers few days ago said Liverpool value Nunez at £51m. So add in Chiesa at 15m we have a deal surely.
21 Jun 2025 18:02:41
Osimhen for now, cheap and cheerful, whilst waiting for the Isak Deal to happen, whenever that may be.
21 Jun 2025 18:13:31
Who do you want to watch at Arne-Field next season Nunez, Chiesa or Osmihen! and i'm pretty sure Arne knows who he wants to select out of the three, who would all rival managers (E/ C, Premier) like to face out of the three, also who improves the team the most Nunez, Chiesa or Ozzy!
lastly who would Premier League, European defences rather "NOT" face out of the three?
Chieas and Nunez wages will probably circa combined pay for a good portion of Ozzys wages also! always strive to improve your own team first is the number one priority of any transfer?
21 Jun 2025 18:21:07
Osimhen's release clause is £63m.
Football Italia has reported a verbal offer has been made by Napoli for Nunez of around £36m-£37m, which is below the Reds’ valuation. The report from Football Italia claims Liverpool would accept “around €50m” for Nunez which converts to just under £43m.
Add on £10m to £15m for Chiesa and it still doesn't match Osimhens release clause. Now it's not 17m short but still short.
I suppose it's down to Nunez, we'd probably get more from Saudi but maybe he won't go there. Hard to see Athletico paying g much more than what Napoli have offered. Problem is we want shot of Nunez and if the teams he wants to gi to won't pay a decent fee we're either stuck with him or we have to let him go on the cheap.
21 Jun 2025 18:21:43
Osimhen: “cheap and cheerful”.
£75m (cheap apparently) .
€355k a week (and absolute steal) .
Publicly criticised his national team coach.
256 days injured in less than four years.
27 in October.
Cheerful?
It’s amazing to me that so many massive clubs need a proven striker and yet this player is not wanted by any of them. So much so he had to spend a year of his prime years on loan in Turkey.
I wonder what all these clubs are missing? How have they all got it so wrong?
Do they even listen to people on here?
21 Jun 2025 19:13:41
According to the ITK posters on here, thw wage demands are not as much as stated by the press, and yes, 63m is quite cheap as far as world class forwards go.
The fact that his temperament is apparently a risk is conjecture - he has plenty of offers and has not simply signed for a Saudi club in search of riches, at least not yet.
For me, Osimhen is a safer bet than Ekitike at 100m euros, and would likely score more goals than Sesko at 70-80m, in my opinion.
Why0why -Are you saying that you have superior and detailed knowledge of the forwards available to us and know who we should choose? Please do tell, and let's see if you are right mid way through next season.
21 Jun 2025 19:52:15
We bought Chiesa for £10m and he hasn’t played a full game for a year - how do we reckon he’s worth £15? Presumaby if we keep him for another 2 years and he doesn’t get a game he’ll be worth £25m?
21 Jun 2025 20:17:25
Maybe it's the reported 400k per week he was looking for before his move to Turkey. Maybe that put many teams off trying yo sign him? It's been said on here by one of the good posters (Carra, Akira, TheFields) that he is willing to drop his salary expectations so now we may see more interested. Since the window opened the following have been reported as having an interest in signing Osimhen from at least one source following a quick search online, Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, June, RM, PSG, Saudi Arabian teams and of course Galatasary.
21 Jun 2025 20:45:22
Vango, it’s widely reported by multiple sources that he wants £400k a week. Ed002 confirmed it last year and his demands haven’t changed since.
21 Jun 2025 20:56:08
Publicly criticising his manager is not “conjecture”.
Being classed as “the most difficult time of my professional career” by Juves sporting director is not conjecture.
Costing £63m is not to be dismissed as cheap considering his age highly limits a significant sell on.
His poor injury record is not to be dismissed.
His salary demands ARE NOT KNOWN BY ITKS
What is observable is he’s never played for a massive club - ever - even though loads of them need a goal scorer.
Do you suspect amongst SD and coaches there is some chat about him? Can you give one sensible suggestion as to why he is on loan in Turkey in his prime? Do you think the “conjecture” and all the factors listed my mean there are risks to the reward here?
21 Jun 2025 21:10:21
WDW
It was still a cheap purchase by Liverpool. I would reckon he would still have suitors at £15 million. It still feels a steal in my opinion.
21 Jun 2025 21:18:58
Chiesa is worth whatever someone is will to pay and there are a few suitors apparently. If true then its really not difficult to suggest £15m. Supply and demand, obviously last year no one wanted a cheap winger, this year a few seem to be looking and not many options.
21 Jun 2025 21:41:26
Nope, no way, no chance, ridiculous…. If true of course!
21 Jun 2025 21:54:08
Isak won’t happen imo - Newcastle owners on drugs with some of the ridiculous demands being mooted! Osimhen although admittedly a born goalscorer he has some baggage and wage demands laughable. Alvarez doesn’t want to leave Spain so Martinez or Sesko are more realistic targets but we’ve got to sell Nunez AT ALL COSTS in this window??!
21 Jun 2025 21:58:55
WoW let's be fair, the Napoli social media team spouted some awful racist stuff at him, so I can see him not being comfortable with that.
21 Jun 2025 22:08:25
for £200 million we are better of with both Gyorkeres and Etike but need to sell Jota and Nunez.
21 Jun 2025 23:04:33
Lofty
10,000% what they did was ridiculously bad and that is no reflection on the player.
However, it has no real impact on all the other issues that seem to follow him.
It’s mad that people here feel they’ve unearthed a gem that somehow big clubs have missed the boat on for about 9 years. What seems more likely…every big club has got it wrong OR he comes with baggage and that baggage is filled with red flags?
21 Jun 2025 23:32:01
I’ve said for 18 months that we need a CF, but to be honest apart from Martinez and Isak, I’m not convinced that any of the others that are being; talked about. I have a feeling that if it’s going to be Isak it’ll happen next summer which basically gives us Martinez. Just my opinion.
I like the saying the right player at the right price’ and I think the club tends to stick to that but in the CF case it might really be ‘the right player at the right time’.
21 Jun 2025 23:56:10
What happened to the interest and meetings about Martinez? Is he no longer an option?
22 Jun 2025 05:18:04
I wouldn't spend silly money on either of them.
We have 6 front line forwards already, 3 of which didn't perform optimally last season. Sell 2 and keep the one that might fit into a Wirtz system better. Spend money on defence. Done.
22 Jun 2025 06:47:44
West Derby Wanderer IV. Id take Martinez too if Isak is not available, but surely Inter will want silly money - Italian clubs rarely offer reasonable deals .
Napoli are one of the most difficult clubs to deal with and are undervaluing Nunez and Fede - Fede has had a year off, a years expert training and a big wake up call - he's likely to be a better player than he was.
22 Jun 2025 07:57:10
Is it just me or does Osimhen remind you of Balotelli?
22 Jun 2025 08:47:11
Crazy Nunez is only valued at that.
The way he’s made out by some he was world class that was being let down by his team mates ability to pass the ball to him earlier.
22 Jun 2025 08:54:32
In what way Anglesey?
22 Jun 2025 10:14:46
With the rumours floating around about Inter right now with dodgy sponsorships and such, they may end up with a lot less agency in transfers than they would like. Just depends how true things are.
22 Jun 2025 10:24:46
No Anglesey. you’re making an opinion from reading these posts. No one really knows what his personality is.
22 Jun 2025 10:49:31
Letstalkaboutsix
Yeah, but that works both ways. No one knows if he’s sound or an absolute nightmare.
However you can observe things and form an opinion.
He’s been described as a nightmare to negotiate with.
He’s had 256 days injured in less than four years.
He’s not a secret yet no one good has signed him.
In his prime he’s on loan in Turkey because they’ll pay his very high wages.
His current salary is €355k and that’s too much for us.
He publicly criticised his national team manager.
So people are not assuming things. These are public record and forming a view based on this is not unusual.
Neither is observing he’s older than players we sign. Ian Graham said the oldest we aim to sign is 24.
Thiago and Chiesa broke this mould and I suspect they reinforced it.
22 Jun 2025 12:35:15
Napoli does not play Osimhen but plays hardball. Contract until 2026 with an option for extra year. De Laurentis is a tough negotiator and only tries to get a financially best deal for him. On the other side, he is also not averse to simply keeping a player on contract even if he does not play and not selling him.
Peronally not a Osimhen fan, imo the character does not fit our team. Current salary is € 250K p/ w. If he demands much morem 400K? (presume tax in UK is much higher than in Italy. ), better to stay away?
22 Jun 2025 16:16:37
And Vango - I’m suggesting with so many red flags around Osimhen it’d make sense to trust the judgement of experts in this field who don’t want anything to do with him as opposed to lads on the internet who spend their time obsessing about Richard Hughes work schedule.
22 Jun 2025 20:04:50
Perhaps Victor could bring all these red flags with him and hand them out to Kopites on his home debut.
I'll get my coat.
23 Jun 2025 09:23:03
Absolutely no way are we signing this massive bell end.
23 Jun 2025 09:27:51
'27 in october'
Haha, and that's old now? Flipping eck. I don't want us to go anywhere near the lad, but using age 26 as an issue is baffling.
23 Jun 2025 10:34:43
No silly, it’s not old for a human. It is older than Liverpool choose to buy. Liverpool buy 24 and under. There have been two notable exceptions (Thiago and Chiesa) and you can arrive at your own conclusions about those deals.
We buy at that age so there is a potential sell on if the player explodes and WANTS to leave (think Countinho) then we will get huge ROI. This is not my opinion, view point or feeling - this is what Liverpool do. Ian Graham who was fairly pivotal in Liverpools transfer successes details this in his book. He also explained it using English during an interview so it’s quite easy to understand.
Great baffled incredulity though, nailed it.
