Quansah to leverkusen ‘here we go’ 30mill plus 5mill on add one.

Agree12 Disagree0

22 Jun 2025 12:35:14
Plus a buy back.

This is essentially a fancy loan.

22 Jun 2025 12:43:33
They've had their pants pulled down.

22 Jun 2025 12:59:03
Excellent deal by us. I think there is a buyback clause.

22 Jun 2025 13:19:47
A buyback clause too, which is nice.

22 Jun 2025 13:21:37
Just how? Is the pound become that worthless now.

22 Jun 2025 13:55:03
Tbh……he played quite welll last night for England U21’s against a good Spanish team. Although he did give a penalty away with a silly challenge.
He does have potential if he can cut out the silly defensive errors . But time will tell.

22 Jun 2025 14:04:03
If Quansah does really well and excels there we’ve got the opportunity to bring him back. A fantastic deal for a player that hasn’t pulled up trees so far. A quarter of the Wirtz deal paid for effectively.

22 Jun 2025 14:29:48
I hope this turns into Hato, Zeze, or Ait-Boudlal.

22 Jun 2025 14:47:33
Hughes earning his money how he got that amount for Quansah I’ll never know
Up the pool.

22 Jun 2025 15:20:35
They just paid the same amount for quansah as we did for macallister ? dunno if we’re muggin them off or we mugged Brighton off or both. but I’m here for it ?.

22 Jun 2025 15:48:53
Gave away a penalty last night. The boy is special.

22 Jun 2025 16:03:24
A big thank you must go to the current Bayer "LIVER"-kusen manager Erik Ten Hag for being so gullible in the fees for Wirtz, Frimpong (R/ C fee) and now Quansah, and for entering a possible auction (£££s) with the Magpies for Harvey Elliot?

Would Xabi Alonso have been so agreeable/ green for the above if he was still LIVER-kusen manager one must ask?

And man utd fans say he was a bad manager, job well done LFC agent Ten Hag!

Another Can of 7 Up to celebrate seems most apt!

22 Jun 2025 16:09:31
Apart from the peno he didn't play poorly. I think the move to Germany will really help him and he may develop to a solid cb. Still only 22 so I'm 4 years could be worth buying back.

22 Jun 2025 17:46:34
Hope Quansah does well in Germany.

{Ed025's Note - 2 little words Mcgoveb..."who cares"..

22 Jun 2025 18:39:28
I think that's quansah’s problem. Does many things perfectly. And then does something foolish and causes a chance or a goal. Every single match. There’s a player in there but I feel if he hasn’t improved in two years- better to move to fields anew. Best of luck to him. Reckon its the steal of the window.

22 Jun 2025 18:57:25
I think the bigger issue is modern fans.
Quansah is 22
Last season he barely got game time. When he did he played in teams that had never played together before. Sides with Chiesa and Nguoma in them alongside Gomez etc.
The season before he got regular game time and was very good. That’s the key, he’s not being sold with a buy back because he’s rubbish, but because he needs game time which he won’t get, Ibou and Virg were fit all season, we won the league.
CBs get better with experience and game time. We will probably re-sign him at 25, which is the time defenders start to get good.
John Stones was written off for all his errors at 22, he turned out to be pretty good.

If you judge a player (especially a centre back) on giving a penalty away in a game…the rest of which he was superb in and you ignore all the good elements…you’re looking to dislike them and your opinion is daft.

22 Jun 2025 18:59:46
Hope Hughes had the decency to lube them up before pantsing them.

22 Jun 2025 19:03:01
As an aside- did we put a buy back on van den Berg?

Noted he’s being playing alongside Hato in the under21s.

22 Jun 2025 19:22:14
Not putting him in the same bracket has VVD, but go watch VVD when he was 22 he did the exact same thing. would do wonderful things but then do something completely wrong. Jarell needs regular football to help him develop more Great move for him and great for the club with a buyback

Jarell was playing in the best league at the top boys table at 22. a lot of other defenders wasn’t VVD has just left Groenigan for Celtic.

22 Jun 2025 19:18:39
A bit harsh ED025, I'd hope any player that leaves us does well in their future careers.

{Ed025's Note - even Trent, Macca and Owen Mcgoveb?, once a player leaves i dont have much interest in them myself mate...but maybe thats just me..

22 Jun 2025 20:30:27
Mistakes are the growing pains of Wisdom! the only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing?

22 Jun 2025 21:45:02
Andre Wisdom? Correct. mistakes were definitely his growing pains. except he never grew.

22 Jun 2025 21:46:59
Vvd was the best defender in the league at celtic when he was 21. So I don’t consider really him anywhere near the quality of quansah. Vvd was standing out even back then. But look- for the lad- I hope I’m wrong. And I’m frequently wrong. I hope he goes on to great things under the right coaching.

22 Jun 2025 21:52:14
There are two things a CB needs to get to the higher levels.
Time on the ball.
The ability to leave the line.

Quansah has both. Great in the air, physical specimen, quick, reads the game and can pass.

He’s going to have a stellar career.

{Ed025's Note - hmmmmm..

22 Jun 2025 23:58:57
Why please please give up the drugs my friend ?.

23 Jun 2025 00:05:04
What's the probability, as a %, that we buy back Quansah, WhyOwhy?

23 Jun 2025 01:27:55
Kloppers and Why oh why like the kid- sees something in him. Who knows? Maybe they are right. It would be awesome if they do. Stranger things have happened. Regardless- hopefully the kid will grow into a monster.

23 Jun 2025 09:20:50
Quansah has lots of potential. It is a good deal for both parties as we get a lot of money for a raw player with some personal/ personality issues and they get a player with lots of potential to fulfil if he can keep it in his pants.

Odd mentality from those who have written him off - I've no doubt you were singing his praises before last season.

23 Jun 2025 09:44:52
AOE

Managers at every level at England play him. He’s always played.
Jurgen Klopp played him. He’s good at football talent spotting.
Slot played him (but Ibou stayed fit) .

So people, very well versed in what makes a good footballer, rate him highly.

Lads on the internet do not. I can’t figure which judgement has more merit. It’s complex. The people paid overwhelming amounts of money to spot and deploy talent - or NabySZN69 who thinks we should sell all our players and buy everyone off FIFA.

When you add a buy back clause you compromise what you charge - so Liverpool Football club have lost money short term because they believe that will save money when they potentially buy him back. You do see that, right? We’ve lost money on this deal because the football club believe there is a likelihood we buy him back.

Jeez.

23 Jun 2025 11:00:53
Fair enough why oh why. You might re read my message mate. I hope I’m wrong and the lad goes on to be excellent.

23 Jun 2025 12:47:06
I read “people like kloppers and why oh why see something in him” - like we have gleaned something in him that’s impossible to fathom.

He played regularly as an early twenties centre back in a top five side on this planet. It’s not hard to intuit from that he’s an excellent footballer.

You don’t play regularly for Liverpool without being an excellent footballer. I suspect a lot of people radically undervalue how good we are.

23 Jun 2025 13:22:27
Ah crap. Sorry why oh why, if that sounded like I was having a go. I wasn’t at all but I completely understand the irritation. I should have chosen my words better. It was genuinely an attempt at saying both you guys could be right is seeing something in him and hopefully you are right (for the lads career) . My total bad.

23 Jun 2025 16:53:47
Rigsby, somewhere between 0% and 100%

I cannot legislate for WW3, Quansah becoming addicted to Pokemon, a career ending injury, Liverpool Football Club being wound up as they’ve been found guilty of massive financial impropriety or indeed the collapse of modern civilisation.

I can say that inserting a buy back essentially limits the profit the buying club can make in future, this comes at a cost to the selling club today, so Liverpool felt confident enough to lose money short term because they feel there is some chance they will buy him back.

As previously stated, this feels like a fancy loan.
