Major change overnight on the Konate front. Until yesterday all data suggested he was most likely to sign a new contract.

Today however it is broken down simply as

40% chance of him to leave on a free next summer
35% chance of him being sold this summer.
25% chance of him signing a new deal.

Agree5 Disagree0

So what percentage chance is there of him suffering an injury, being his by a train or accessing a power ring and becoming a green lantern?

28 Jun 2025 12:53:28
Sorry but what do you mean? Data suggest bla bla bla and percentages for his choices?

28 Jun 2025 13:10:24
I work for a sports analytics company - we Gove information to betting companies among other things. Based on the information held for clubs, players, contracts, etc etc our job is to try and provide accurate % on likelihood - using this information betting companies will then set their odds etc.

being "his" by a train?

He has the same percentage chance of misspelling a word also!

28 Jun 2025 13:01:34
The OP works for a sports analytics company. He’s probably repeating here the stats they share with gambling companies.

I really can’t see a problem with that.

What a load of tosh.

28 Jun 2025 14:27:46
Horse droppings is an understatement.

A rumours site where the fans get offended by people sharing rumours or what little info they may have? Bizarre

If the info doesn’t interest you just scroll past - internet trolls are a strange breed of people.

28 Jun 2025 15:11:34
If he doesn’t sign, he has to be transferred.

28 Jun 2025 15:14:52
Genuinely interested ASH as to how these percentages are reached? I understand the obvious ones when looking at a striker for instance there is a stat for everything but how does your company get a percentage for what a player might do in the future? If it's an algorithm/ AI type things that scrawls the Internet then wouldn't that also include info from all the nonsense clickbait articles and posts? Interested to understand more.

28 Jun 2025 15:23:50
Tbh, at first I thought he had pulled the percentages out his arse. But if he does work for a data company or whatever, then it’s more interesting…. and thanks for sharing. Doesn’t really mean anything, other than what people better informed than me are guessing.

28 Jun 2025 15:52:24
Just to clarify how we calculate these % likelihoods—it’s not based on rumours or clickbait. I work with the team that puts these numbers together, and we use a mix of data points: contract length, agent behaviour, minutes played, reliable media reports, and player movement patterns. We also track how active clubs are in that position and whether contact has been made behind the scenes.

With Konaté, the indicators are all pointing one way. He’s got one year left on his deal and there’s been zero progress on a renewal—at a time when other players are being tied down. PSG have shown long-term interest, and with his injury record, Liverpool may be reluctant to offer a huge new deal. If no move happens this summer, leaving on a free next year becomes the most likely scenario. That’s why the % for a 2026 PSG move is climbing. It’s not speculation—it’s pattern-based probability.

So basically h might stay he might go….

28 Jun 2025 16:04:24
Set him a deadline to sign a new contract, if not put him up for sale, let it be known and if he don't play ball bench him, Can't be allowing players do this to us anymore.

28 Jun 2025 16:11:06
Appreciate the clarification, it will be an interesting few weeks.

28 Jun 2025 16:55:40
Hardy - you play your best players, by your reckoning Salah, VVD and Trent would have all not played last season and we would have won nothing.

28 Jun 2025 17:20:49
It’s not rumours people are bothered by it’s trying to put percentages on things happening! Just guess work and pretty meaningless imo.

28 Jun 2025 17:36:32
Can we have the workings out, methodology and references (Preferably Harvard style referencing)?

28 Jun 2025 17:47:32
Marty, as he’s said, that’s his ACTUAL job! Why would be dumb down percentages his company have calculated?

28 Jun 2025 18:31:26
Oh okay haha I thought you were just making numbers up. Cheers for sharing.

28 Jun 2025 18:39:50
Zeddicus, I’m not saying he has dumbed them down but it doesn’t mean anything really. It’s used to inform bookies what odds to offer it doesn’t mean it’s facts! So many variables with it isn’t there! If it’s come to people working out percentages to guess if a transfer happens then Jesus! I’m sure it’s got its uses but not for me! Just my opinion of course!

28 Jun 2025 22:09:07
“It doesn’t means it’s facts! ”

Marty, if you had your way would all posts on this site only be made about confirmed transfers ie once the transfer is a “fact”?

Of course this analysis isn’t fact, and ASH didn’t imply that it is. But bookies put huge money on the line - that means this sort of stuff shouldn’t be ignored. In my opinion it just adds another interesting angle for a fan and rumour follower such as myself. You can take it or leave it!

28 Jun 2025 22:34:11
There’s nothing wrong with rumours - setting aside that they mess with impressionable minds - it’s when ‘people are hearing’ and present the rumours they ‘hear’ as fact that is the problem.

As for the OP. - it would be more interesting if you could clarify what changed to amend the statistical outcomes? Seems a bit odd the the results came out as whole numbers - normally there’s a decimal point and a few digits after the point, like, 44.875 %.

29 Jun 2025 08:17:15
OP probably just rounded the numbers off for us all WDW, no need to be pedantic.
