Evening all, Ed if you mind please responding? I know everyone has been a pain regarding this Isak deal for yourself to deal with probably and i myself will try to make it my last. I think a lot including me are just slightly nervous as us actually getting him.
I think for myself personally and im sure you know more than me and others do! It seems with Isak there seems to be far too much smoke over the past few weeks without something happening with this deal. So would like to ask you the overall opinion on what you know about the deal?
We constantly am sure everyone else are seeing different links on social media, from Romano, Craig Hope and a few other credible journos having different posts daily. Romano seems to be saying we are preparing to bid, isak wants us and knows this and its his dream etc.
Interestingly Craig Hope has not long put a post out saying Newcastle will not be letting Isak go without a top replacement. Meanwhile Keith Downie is saying he expects a deal to be done if we can stuff up the money etc.
So with all the reports being mentioned and i know you have said we are waiting on NUFC to buy a replacement. However do you know what the all round standing is?
I know you’re not Isaks agent haha! But is the a situation of where it can get messy? Ie Isak will become desperate and hand in transfer requests if Newcastle can't find a striker as he wants to go? Especially if there stance is they will just keep him if they cannot find a replacement.
It all seems like at the moment very bizzare? I can't remember maybe Virg? But a player that has expressed this much desire in wanting to join us. So ultimately im asking can you see a resolve here for NUFC, in terms of Isak does end up staying. Or do you think it is too far gone and they fully will be letting him go end of and are just trying to bring someone in?
I can see a world where they cannot sign someone as some of the options aren’t great, other than Sesko and Watkins? Is there anyone else they will target? So is there a chance they just hold onto him is what am trying to say? Would this be an option for them or do you think they will sell now and just will bring anyone in per say maybe Muniz and go again in Jan, we have nunez if they are that desperate haha!

Muniz is a possibility for the second one but Fulham want to sign a replacement before letting him go, so maybe they will turn to Watkins. At least Villa are open to a sale there.}

Isak wants to come
We want to sign Isak
Newcastle don't want to sell Isak
To enable us buying him, Newcastle could just change their mind but more crucially they would want replacements sorted
on the player side, Isak could agitate for a move, put in a transfer request. Which weeks ago seemed unlikely but at the least he is agitating for a move now
Still seems to hinge on Newcastle securing their replacements. but they seem to be doing a terrible job at it.

Do you think there is a so called gentlemans agreement in place between Liverpool and Newcastle? To where we are giving them a timeframe to buy a striker and if they are unable to sign one nothing will develop etc. Or do you think if they don't sign one pretty soon we will just make a bid?

They’re getting a bit annoying Newcastle. I hope they sign 2 forwards for £90m each and we Pull out of the Isak deal and relegate them to league 2 through PSR.

Annoying how? Surely they are within their rights to protect their own interests as a club, unless you think they are a small club that should just roll over when the big boys want to poach their players.

I don’t get the hate on Newcastle as we wer literally them like 10 years ago not having the pull of teams around us but aspiring to be the best but had to work within financial constraints and a structure that enabled us to grow as a club ie buy to sell and grow the media and matchday revenue .
We had hiccups along the way . They are just struggling to attract the players they want . It reminds me of when we ended up with lambert and balotelli and had to suffer.

LiverpoolFC8, Newcastle have done nothing wrong. Isak is their player just because we want to buy him does not mean Newcastle just let him go after all look at us over Mo and VVD contracts we nearly had a melt down so what do you think the Newcastle fans are feeling like. I am sure if Newcastle can find replacements they may let him go if not we move on .
I for one do not want Newcastle to be relegated they are a big club with big support and I hope they have a decent season.

By all accounts, Isak informed NU of his desire to leave them multiple times last season.
Maybe he sees that he helped NU get CL football, thus his reward if u like is NU to let him leave as desired.

Come on, it's hardly a "saga". It's been only a month. Transfers take as much time as they need to. We just went through a 2 year saga that was well planned and executed with precision. You know who. The "un-nameable" one. So this is hardly anything and just routine. I understand the urge for immediate gratification from "shiny new toys", because it's that time of year, but still. Curb those impulses.
