A bit more context to my earlier post, I believe Newcastle officials and Liverpool officials have organised a meeting after the game tonight, they will be discussing the fee, and structure of payments for Isak. I would assume an announcement will be made tomorrow, after a deal is concluded tonight.
Isak was supposed to be sitting down with his agent and Howe earlier today after an invite to do so, but he refused and had little to no interest in trying to be convinced otherwise.
Prediction for tonight's game
2-1 Salah and Ekitike
CORM.

That would be a fine end to the bank holiday weekend.

[?] BREAKING: Newcastle co-owner Jamie Reuben and a PIF delegation have spoken to Alexander Isak at the striker's home in an attempt to convince him to stay at the club and return to Eddie Howe's squad.
Sources believe this meeting is a step in the right direction.

Its over man we ain't getting Isak this summer.
25 Aug 2025 20:04:02
More PR in my opinion, they can be like 'oh we tried' but he wasn't too be convinced and for squad harmony he has to go and we will pull Liverpool's trousers down in doing so.
25 Aug 2025 20:21:02
Stop posting Craig Hopes rubbish.
25 Aug 2025 20:58:33
Robbo hads the score prediction wrong should we believe the isak news.
25 Aug 2025 21:05:11
Newcastle co-owner Jamie Reuben and a PIF delegation went around Isak’s house with a bumper bag of Skips and two packs of Toffos. Plus a VHS copy of No Holds Barred starring Hulk Hogan. - Craggy Hophead.
25 Aug 2025 22:41:21
Did he not move out of his house? How did they find him?
25 Aug 2025 22:55:14
Jimmy Nail found him. He was hiding in a sofa fort.
25 Aug 2025 23:05:20
Howe… they’ve been keeping talking. Wednesday bid incoming.
25 Aug 2025 23:15:25
Aye heard about the supposed meeting with Howe earlier on today. Howe is a mug for even trying tbh. Isak has made his position clear, as for the delegation that visited him. They were told the same thing.
I can also back up what Robbo is saying about a meeting to discuss Isaks sale. It will be quick and the bid will be close to what they want.
25 Aug 2025 23:25:50
Did they visit him or not?
Maybe NUFC was just buying time. Isak didn't play tonight and Newcastle was unlucky not to get at least a point.
25 Aug 2025 23:29:51
Is kerkez a poor signing the guy is slow.
26 Aug 2025 00:07:29
I did think that when Elanga beat him for speed.
26 Aug 2025 00:18:20
Elanga is very quick.
26 Aug 2025 01:06:44
Elanga was the fastest player in the PL last season. Kerkez is very quick and had a very good game except for the Guimaraes goal (When he reminded me of soft lad, Alberto Moreno) .
26 Aug 2025 01:25:17
I can’t believe Kerkez got beaten for speed by the 5th fastest player in the league ?.
26 Aug 2025 02:23:51
I can’t believe that Isak hasn’t lived in a house for the past 6 weeks. Perhaps he’s living in a tent on Town Moor?
26 Aug 2025 06:33:30
I took Isak out of my Fantasy PL team last night so expect a deal today. You’re welcome.
26 Aug 2025 07:32:20
RedAK, get with the program. The soft lad, Alberto Moreno is now known as SLAM. Otherwise noone will understand who you're talking about.
26 Aug 2025 07:39:20
Fields that’s a quick turn around on your thoughts about this deal happening. What’s changed? Either way happy for the info you provide.
26 Aug 2025 09:15:19
Howe said in his post match interview he hasn’t spoken to Isak in a week and is leaving it to the owners to sort out. Kerkez was poor again, no link up play with Gakpo at all. Bending down to let Guimares score. Wirtz and Jones should be controlling the game a lot more when they were down to 10 men. Salah not in the game again but assists the winner so I guess deserves to stay on. Konate needs replacing but we don’t have anyone. Szob and VVD immense. Hopefully Rio gets more opportunities as looks like he deserves them. Midfield is unbalanced with Wirtz and all premier league games are intense so it’s given Slot a problem. 3 points though. But more questions than answers.
26 Aug 2025 09:37:46
Kerkez isn't being deployed as a flying left back the way we expected, maybe it's because Dom was playing right back that Slot didn't feel comfortable having him push up? Against Bournemouth too he was being positioned very conservatively with Frimpong pushing up very high. We all know that Kerkez is not the best left back in the world defensively, but he is not being allowed to affect the game the way we know that he can right now. Often he is very close to the center backs in the build up to offer an option for Virgil to pass to, and off the ball he drops in to play as a left sided center back the way somebody like Hincapie might be expected to. Sure he didn't do a great job defending the first goal, but I look forward to when we find a way to let him play his natural game.
26 Aug 2025 09:44:22
I didn’t realize gakpo was playing until the second half, rentaghost.
{Ed001's Note - he got 2 assists, did you watch with your eyes shut?}
26 Aug 2025 09:44:59
how on earth does it provide more questions than answers when we couldn't possibly play and worse, they couldn't possibly play any better, yet we walked away with all the points?
26 Aug 2025 10:10:25
Surely Kerkez was obviously instructed to sit back and not bomb on due to Elanga's pace in behind.
On a separate note did Tonali's injury come from him trying to cheat and dive to win a free kick? Or did I miss something?
26 Aug 2025 10:29:15
Remember when United won “badly” and it was lauded. We win badly and the pitchforks are out.
How did Arsenal get on at Newcastle last season? They’re pretty good like.
26 Aug 2025 11:49:50
SZob a better buy than Wirtz who is still trying to grab his feet. Will take time.
kerkez got beaten for speed last week at bournmouth.
26 Aug 2025 12:07:32
Can’t believe Gakpo is getting stick after another two goal contributions last night and scoring in the Bournemouth game too last week.
Him and Hugo have been our best attackers.
I don’t know what is wrong with Mo but he needs to get more involved, he’s barely touching the ball. However he got the assist last night when it mattered to win the game (albeit with a lovely dummy by Szob) so you could say he’s had the impact when it matters again, like he usually does.
26 Aug 2025 12:58:00
Isak to lfc this week Zero chance! The Saudis are going to make a point ! Just my opinion.
26 Aug 2025 13:03:26
Robbie23 spot on about Tonali. Tried to grab Ekitike and then threw himself on the floor dramatically to get a free kick only to bust his shoulder.
Also Gordon stepping away from the ball to buy fouls led to him playìng the man multiple times before throwing himself at Van Dijk and if I'm being harsh, Shar jumping at Van Dijk got him concussed.
26 Aug 2025 13:26:31
Diogo 20 i've maintained throughout the summer we will sign Isak, so I ain't sure what you're on about.
Nothing has changed as I said it will happen about 2 months ago after the Newcastle game. I know someone that knows his agent haha.
26 Aug 2025 13:33:19
Thanks NFRJ, i wasn't sure if I saw it right as it was so ridiculous what Tonali did.
The dark arts were certainly in play last night.
Also I thought the referee was atrocious, one of the worst displays I have ever seen. Let 2 Newcastle yellows go early doors and had no control whatsoever after that. It was like hed never seen a game of football before. Shocking.
26 Aug 2025 15:42:33
Tax, he should soon stop trying to grab his feet and start using them.
Hes undoubtedly a talent but I honestly wouldn't have him in the 3 when we have everyone fit. that's just how much I rate Grav, Macca And Szobo.
26 Aug 2025 23:34:41
I don't think having curtis and flo in the same side works. i would leave flo on bench Sunday play macca if fit, grav and Szob. jones if mac not fit.
