From the BBC:
Liverpool have agreed a deal with Crystal Palace to sign England international Marc Guehi, who will complete the formalities of his move in London ahead of signing long-term contract at Anfield.

I just cannot believe this window. take a bow FSG, Edwards, Slot, Hughes et al.
01 Sep 2025 15:31:26
Here I am eating humble pie!
01 Sep 2025 15:37:34
FSG have nothing to do with this current success? in fact their first managerial appointment was Roy Hodgson, and then Bodger Rodgers, and sacked King Kenny the only one of the three to win a Trophy, tried to stab the fans in the back by being at the forefront of a breakaway European league.
A Football Club only turns itself around by its results on a football pitch.
Jurgen Norbert Klopp made LFC great again not FSG.

I hope Richard Hughes has booked himself a nice holiday away after the window closes. He will have earned it.

What a fantastic window!
YNWA.

An absolute humdinger of a window,
Quality in every direction .
But spare a thought for the Chelsea transfer team who have moved in and out, just shy of 50 players . Who some will have not been there long enough to remove their coat .
01 Sep 2025 15:46:12
Is that pie big enough for most of us Hessle??.
01 Sep 2025 15:57:39
007.get your facts right. Hodgson was appointed by hicks and Gillette. FSG sacked him and appointed Kenny. Rodgers did ok and developed the team and almost won the league. Klopp took it further.

How can someone say that about FSG, especially on a day like today. They have improved the club in every single area. Stadium, trading complex, revenue, squad, managers (including Klopp), Edward’s, Ward, Hughes and now Slot.
We’ve literally just had the best window anyone can remember in terms of both incoming’s and outgoings, current league champions and have amassed a squad capable of not just challenging but dominating domestic and European football for years to come.
Our youth system is excellent and makes us millions every season also, and you say FSG have done nothing. Wow.
01 Sep 2025 16:27:26
You're allowed an opinion 007.
01 Sep 2025 16:33:30
007 has had too many scotch on the rocks shaken. It stirred!
01 Sep 2025 16:35:25
007. what's with the buzz kill?
It takes the whole structure of a club to be a successful club.
01 Sep 2025 16:10:28
FSG didn’t appoint Hodgson, 007. FSG took the club over in October 2010, Hodgson was employed by those clowns H&G. You can also forgive them Rodgers because they were new to football and were naive. They corrected that by employing Klopp and then making the succession as smooth as possible.
As someone who has been very critical of FSG in the past, you have to stand back be objective and say they are good owners, they’ve made mistakes and bad decisions, but learnt from them each time. They also don’t take a penny out of the club, they made us financially self supporting and one of the most lucrative clubs around.
Look at where we were and where we are.
01 Sep 2025 16:12:16
Apart from the roads, the aqueducts, the sanitation, the two new stands, nine years of success, Slot, Klopp, the training grounds…. what did FSG ever do for us?
01 Sep 2025 17:00:25
Fantastic window, just makes me ponder how if we had backed Jurgen after winning the prem in sane way we could have been on 22 titles n few more ucl.
01 Sep 2025 17:18:02
Probably not. Covid happened and the following players all got injured for massive parts of the season:
Jota
Thiago
Alisson (family situation)
Henderson
Fabinho
Gomez
Van Dijk
Matip
Ox
Naby
No amount of backing can legislate for a pandemic and your only regular players available being Gini and Robbo as Trent, Mane, Bobby and Mo also had lots of absences.

FSG have been fantastic for our club yes they made a mistake here and there but without them we would probably be in the lower leagues if not out of business. YNWA.
