Rumours of City in for Guehi as they see him as a Stones replacement. With Palace after a replacement City could offer Ake or Akanji. Depends on who Guehi wants but Palace still want £35m. Semenyo also wanted by City but they want to wait until next summer when his price drops below £60m which Bournemouth prefer.

Sounds like Palace setting the conditions of a January sale to me ie Pay top dollar or no dice.
Unless there is a deal agreed between now and the 1st January, I would stay away from Palace and focus on other targets.

How does everyone feel about our current form affecting potential targets?
Is Slotball enough to make these players turn us down or is that too near sighted?
I worry we're a lot less attractive to players because of Slot and the way we seem to play, may be a bit harsh. It would be a bitter pill to swallow if they both end up at city.

Not a hope in hell i'd be paying £35m for Guehi in Jan, no one will. Palace know that too, they know he wants us and they know we'll probably bid at 15m. They are simply hoping to meet in the middle but they won't even get that.

Didn't Carra allude to the fact Palace want what we paid in the summer. Hopefully £20m will get it done.

He's too good for a european club not to come in and get him on a free, its just wether or not Palace can get a replacement.
Do you sell him cheap and be a cb down for the rest of the season or keep him playing then lose him for free?
I wouldn't have thought Slotball would dissuade players joining however if Semenyo has the choice of us or City as things stand right now he might well fancy the latter if the release clause is triggered.

Just pay the money that's why we lost out in the summer if we had paid the money at the beginning of the window we wouldn't have been scrambling on the last day.

I'm fed up reading these comments again re Guehi
Pay the fee get the player. All this type of bollox is why we missed out last summer. This kid is excellent I promise you! He is honest, gives his all and truly will be a super star at Anfield.
My own preference would be buy him at the price they want. Even give the their 10% sell on if that's what they want. This lad will stay at Anfield for the rest of his playing days.
He is a Class Act. He must be a Liverpool player before the World Cup starts.

If we really want to sign Guehi, he could be a liverpool player for many years, there are many teams wanting to sign him, so just pay the price and bring him to Anfield, let's stop moaning about Konate and just sign Guehi up ASAP.
