Evening Gents.
Diomande will be a Liverpool player.
We've not gone this far to walk away.
Cheers.
28 Jun 2026 23:48:13
Wow, if this turns out to be true, it’ll prove you can’t believe a word that the journalists say. The ITKs on this page have already been right about Slot this summer. Fingers crossed, because the other options at RW look pretty poor.
28 Jun 2026 23:48:39
But if his preference is PSG, then we should walk away.
28 Jun 2026 23:57:16
Yeah it's over. He's not joining, just stop it now.
28 Jun 2026 23:58:10
Stroms, we don't know that's his preference. That's just what some journo is saying, and for all we know, they could just be making stuff up to drive clicks.
29 Jun 2026 00:06:37
The player reportedly wants PSG. How could he become a Liverpool player? Liverpool may have made a great effort, but it seems the player used us.
29 Jun 2026 00:20:18
Well, in Carra and Robbo, doubters to believers.
29 Jun 2026 00:29:08
If he wants to go to PSG, then so be it. Oil money goes a long way in soccer these days. The rubbish he's been sprouting about supporting Liverpool is just smoke.
If he goes to PSG, don't know if he will be a starter, though, as PSG already have a good lineup in the forward department: Barcola, Dembele, Doue, Housni, and Kvaratskhelia.
Is he better than these players? Interesting to see...
If he does sign then maybe we could get Barcola.
29 Jun 2026 00:26:29
Has that Italian doomsdayer Fab not reported that everything's been agreed mate?
29 Jun 2026 01:40:00
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
29 Jun 2026 01:40:22
Sure, why don't we just buy Doue then. ? Seems only fair. Jokes aside, I think Doue is going to be unbelievable. I'm sure he's not available in any case. And we'll wait and see on Diomande. If he signs, will he be a success. Like Wirtz, I hadn't seen much of him and got sucked in by the hype.
29 Jun 2026 03:18:49
I already have a negative vibe from this transfer saga with Diomande. It seems the player is manipulating both clubs to get the best paycheck from himself and max years in the contract. I am sure he is just going to sit on the side wherever he goes, grab that check and become a long-term liability.
29 Jun 2026 05:35:35
I've got to put my objective hat on here.
1. Paris
2. Enrique
3. French speaking
4. Helluva footballing project
I can't see this one happening, gents, but that's okay and we move on.
Carra, Robbo - takes some brass balls to come out and disseminate information you've heard, and I/we appreciate your efforts.
On to the next!
29 Jun 2026 05:43:55
Gases money Krums.
29 Jun 2026 06:11:01
I hope Robbo and Carra are right because there seems to be a lot of people, on so called football sites and in the Press, who just don't want Diomande at Liverpool and would love us to fail to sign him.
29 Jun 2026 06:18:10
Please do not overpay in terms of transfer money and salary, just to get him.
Sometimes we need to let go and find another target.
There are other players out there.
Overpriced players are not something of Liverpool's nature.
Let's build a team and not do an old PSG by buying Messi, Mbappe or Neymar and then win hardly any major trophies.
Concentrate on the squad depth.
No more moving players to recoup money just because we overpaid for someone else.
For that price, buy the whole Brighton scout team who found Rayan, etc.
Thanks. ? ?
29 Jun 2026 05:58:07
Agree to @para-red Cara, Robbo, people here have no nails left to bite on. Its okay if you think, things didn't go as you thought they would. Its high time you come out and provide some more context and what gives you more confidence that this deal is happening.
29 Jun 2026 06:57:44
I don't think Carra and Robbo or the other ITKs have to justify themselves. They have been more right than wrong, and if you don't want to believe them, then fine, move on.
They put themselves out there by giving us information they are given.
If they believe there is still a chance, then they must have been told this.
I would be happy with Diomande, but I'm not going to lose any sleep if we don't, as long as we get someone like Barcola or someone similar.
29 Jun 2026 07:06:56
Diomande seems very ambitious, and there's nothing wrong with that, but do worry if he does join us that he will see us as a stepping stone. We may have a situation in a few years where he is refusing to sign a new contract to join Real or PSG.
It's also clear why any player would want to join PSG at the moment after them winning 2 Champs Leagues in a row, having unlimited resources and Enrique managing them. We will see what happens, but it's not the end of the world either way.
29 Jun 2026 07:13:58
Really hope he doesn't sign, if we have been played like a fiddle and he wants PSG then look elsewhere, even if it's just his agents messing about, still walk away.
29 Jun 2026 07:16:05
Well, just a while back there were news about him agreeing personal terms with us, only the transfer fee part was the problem. Suddenly, he wants PSG. But I do trust Robbo and Carra. If the deal doesn't happen, it will be because of the player's preference and not because of the lack of effort on our end.
I'm pretty sure we can survive without him if he chooses not to join us. Iraola did not have such players at Bournemouth and did quite well. So, I'm sure he will be alright with whatever players he will end up with.
29 Jun 2026 07:41:02
Just some clarity on my post here hahah.
At no such point am I asking, nor will I ever ask for anybody to justify their source and information lol. I was merely pointing out that objectively, and considering the huge PSG magnetic right now, my uninformed opinion is leaning towards - PSG/Yan D.
Football is not that important to me that if such a player doesn't go to LFC that I'd have a meltdown over information passed by proven credible posters.
Again - Robbo, Carra, and everyone else. Thank you for the information!
29 Jun 2026 08:19:40
The articles about PSG are basically cut and paste jobs on the articles the other week about us - club (us or PSG depending on week) has agreed terms with player / player only wants (club mentioned) / (club mentioned) seeks to agree fee with Leipzig
Gotta love the transfer window.
29 Jun 2026 08:43:39
What will be, will be, but fair play to Robbo and Carra, they haven't backed down and we see how it plays out.
The easy route would have been to say nothing, but neither seemed to care about being ITK, just passing on what they heard. The saying is there's three sides to every story; well, in football there's about 15 once you throw in agents, pundits and fans who all think they know best and all aiming at their own agenda.
There is a lot of noise, seemingly stemming from Ornstein, but what if the information he was fed was incorrect. Wouldn't be the first and won't be the last.
Either way, we are close to a resolution and can move onto other things.
29 Jun 2026 10:10:34
I think with Carra's info on bidding and what's out there now, we bid, it got accepted, and Diomande rejected us and wants PSG.
Looks like we got played by them.
I hope you are right, but all journos, French and German too are stating his choice is PSG, so I can't see them all being wrong.
29 Jun 2026 10:59:52
Look Robbo, you got nothing to prove. Diamonde wherever he goes is ok. You have given right info, we was interested, we made the bid, player camp showed interest and were keen.
I personally don't want him from day 1, but I don't like people calling out ITK. It takes away the most important part of this site.
Right or wrong, we come here to know the future cuz we lot are impatient f***s and want to know who we signing.
Being impatient is ok, being a dumbass is not.
29 Jun 2026 11:14:26
Got to admire your confidence on this one Robbo! Really hope you're proven right as literally every journo is saying he's chosen PSG. God tier ITK status if this one comes off. ?
29 Jun 2026 11:15:20
From what I have been told, we have agreed personal terms with Diomande. I know that.
I have been told we came to an agreement with RBL, the problem currently is how it's being paid.
I've been made aware that people are hyping the PSG " agreement " to force Liverpool into paying more of a down-payment, and less instalments.
Typical showdown.
Liverpool are still there, waiting.
If it was over, we would have walked away.
We haven't.
Cheers.
29 Jun 2026 11:27:17
It's his dad who supports us, not him.
29 Jun 2026 11:31:42
Cheers Robbo, even though I can't stop thinking this will be a really bad signing.
29 Jun 2026 11:36:40
S***housery from the players management team. They know they will get a bigger slice of the pie if more money is paid up front.
29 Jun 2026 11:47:30
Thanks Robbo, Carra, VG, etc.
Really appreciate the info.
Cheers.
29 Jun 2026 11:49:15
Thanks for the extra clarity, Robbo. Fingers crossed we don't arse about and get it sorted.
29 Jun 2026 11:53:25
Genuine question - what if Diomande walks away?
29 Jun 2026 12:14:32
Walks away to where?
PSG will not pay the fee that Liverpool will. Not anywhere close. This is a certainty as he isn't seen as a necessity by PSG.
So, he either stipulates he wants to remain at RBL, which he doesn't, or RBL comes to an agreement with Liverpool, which he does want, hence personal terms agreed.
He either moves to Liverpool, or remains at RBL against his wishes.
There is only one outcome.
29 Jun 2026 12:46:12
The structure of the payment is why people should stop getting hung up on the transfer fee.
It wouldn't surprise me if we've offered £20m up front and 4 yearly installments of £20m, and RBL want something closer to £40m up front and 3 yearly installments of £20m. Looks better for them.
29 Jun 2026 12:55:21
The team lacked a physical presence last season, and Diomande would help resolve that far more than Barcola would. Diomande also works hard and is willing to press and defend when needed.
Given the way the Premier League is at the moment, then another winger with similar attributes (Semenyo would have been perfect) for the other wing remains a requirement. If Gakpo was willing to work harder and use his size more, then he would not need to be replaced.
Let's hope that Iraola can work some magic with him.
Diomande had a breakout year last year, but wasn't so well known or regarded prior to that. Hopefully the recruitment team can identify the next up and coming stars that won't cost a fortune but have the potential to step up at Liverpool.
29 Jun 2026 14:31:52
Thank you, Robbo.
I hope we win.
29 Jun 2026 14:54:26
The best player for us is not necessarily the player who cost the most. There weren't many clubs chasing Salah's signature. He wasn't the priciest or the most coveted.
29 Jun 2026 14:55:56
If he really wants elsewhere, why bring him in?
29 Jun 2026 18:03:20
Thanks for the info Robbo, I for one would love us to sign him.
