I usually only post about the Liverpool Academy but I work in football and have contacts at various clubs. David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano are being fed a lot from PSG's side and I'd take that information with a pinch of salt.
What I've been told is that everything was agreed between Liverpool and Diomande but the agents are playing both sides to get the best possible deal for themselves and their client.

RD made me laugh - just passing stuff on. I've been involved since back when Macca was still here (with a different account). Could be completely wrong, so don't have me down as an ITK.
JLC, it's unfortunately what all agents do, but by the looks of it this one went a fair bit further than most.
Hoping for a Brandt - Salah style second option being better than the first.

If true, then it would be a nightmare having those agents around... they'll constantly be looking to get the boy a deal with Real etc after a couple of years with us.
If at all true, then I'd rather walk away from the deal.

Is Rayan any good, Shipley? I must admit I've heard his name whilst watching Bournemouth, but he never stood out as a good player.
I've also made a point of watching him at the World Cup due to the amount of posters on here that keep bringing him up, and I've really not seen a player there.
Given he would cost so much, I'd expect him to really stand out for both Bournemouth and Brazil, but he just doesn't. Maybe I need to see more of him?

Paying nearly all of diamondes fee for PSG.
Also accepting that he's not good enough for PSG, but good enough for LFC.
Improving PSG's squad, and taking their rejects for LFC squad.

Rokki, I said all I know re Diomande situation. If it played out at the club I work for, I'd be rethinking it. Personally, I'm a massive fan of Ibrahim Mbaye - him plus Rayan or Endrick would likely come in cheaper than Diomande and Barcola, and it'd let us spread the squad cost across more of our positions of need.

We've like to be on a par with PSG, but we are miles off them right now in a football sense. It's also very hard to compete with their finances and their Paris location when attracting players, and their management. They're probably the most attractive team to play for in world football right now.
I've seen Barcola a handful of times. He looks ok. Tbh I'd say the same about Diomande. They're both quick. Diomande is more powerful, Barcola has more craft. I'm not sure either is worth what's being asked and would rather we look elsewhere.

I don't know what all the fuss about Diomande is. Just my opinion, but I think there is better out there, but prices are ridiculous.

@Steviep, the thing is, the lad is 19. Wait until his mid-20's when he reaches his peak. He'll be worth a lot more than his present value, all things being equal. If we do buy him in this window, the return on investment over the next 5 or 6 years is potentially massive.
