I know we've heard multiple times Liverpool have watched Bellingham but not directly interested. Reports now coming from journos in Germany that we are interested. Any change in stance? Thanks.

AussieRedYNWA

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach from Liverpool to Dortmund who have told two interested sides that he is not for sale.}

1.) 09 Sep 2021 10:41:03
Contrary to the general opinion i don't think bellingham is going to be a star player. I think Gravenbach is better and may cost far less but he is not english.

2.) 09 Sep 2021 11:56:36
They could both be stars thoug eh?

3.) 09 Sep 2021 12:03:55
He's recently renewed his contract and commitment to Dortmund. I'd be baffled if they sold him next summer but stranger things have happened. That said, I didn't think he was a target for us at Liverpool.

4.) 09 Sep 2021 12:31:38
Paul Joyce has confirmed Liverpool’s interest in Bellingham.
That doesn’t mean Liverpool can/ will follow through on that interest or that Dortmund is open to selling him particularly when it looks like they’ll lose Haaland next summer.

Liverpool played Ajax twice last season and Jones outshone Gravenberch in both games albeit he’s 18mths older. That’s not to say Gravenberch won’t become the better player.

5.) 09 Sep 2021 12:48:58
We can’t afford him unless we sell Salah, which would be a terrible idea all ends up. He is not coming to us. End of story.

6.) 09 Sep 2021 13:00:23
If Bellingham and his representatives have anything about them, he’d stay at BD for at least another 2 seasons. Plenty of time to earn a big move.

7.) 09 Sep 2021 17:20:05
Nope it'll obviously be one or the other WDW!

8.) 09 Sep 2021 20:36:59
Liverpool are interested in a lot of players just like any other club is interested in players and prospects. From there to actually signing the player, is another story entirely.

9.) 09 Sep 2021 20:55:22
Think he’s potentially a top level player. But also think if he returned to a stronger more demanding league now or next year he’ll be squashed and wasted. Good with BD in a league they dominate with Munich. Otherwise not convinced ready to blow EPL away. Yet.

10.) 09 Sep 2021 14:53:00
Is there a general consensus on what 'interest' means? Like for Paul Joyce to say that, does interest equate to planning to sign next summer? or that he is on a list of players we may want to puruse? etc etc.

{Ed002's Note - It equates to a damp patch on the bed.}

11.) 10 Sep 2021 07:54:36
Incontinence kecks is the answer to that Ed.

17 Jun 2018 02:52:51
Hi Eds, any truth to the Lucas Paqueta rumours? Cheers.

AussieRedYNWA

{Ed001's Note - I don't know because I don't know what rumours you are on about. He was scouted last season, as was Ziyech and a number of other players that play a similar way but Fekir was chosen to be the signing. I have not heard of us moving on yet, but I have been too busy to chase up anything over the last couple of days so might easily have missed something.}

1.) 17 Jun 2018 05:58:30
Ed 1 is there any update on shaqiri? Is he even a target?

{Ed001's Note - as I keep saying, I don't know mate. I have not heard anything either way with regards to him.}

2.) 17 Jun 2018 08:39:01
Morning Ed, when you say you are not aware of us moving yet do you still think that there is a chance fekir still signs? Are you aware of the complications of the medical and if so would you still sign him?
Thanks for your time.

{Ed001's Note - yes there is every chance. Things were just put aside until after the World Cup.}

3.) 17 Jun 2018 09:35:07
Cheers ed, would you say all possible signings have been "put aside" until after the world cup, or are we looking at options/ something could hapen during the WC?

{Ed001's Note - it won't stop, it is more of a pause to reconsider options.}

4.) 17 Jun 2018 11:43:16
I've heard that we're seriously reconsidering all our targets after one of our scouts accidentally stumbled across some charity match yesterday. Make of it what you will.

5.) 17 Jun 2018 13:24:39
RedNick, we all dream of a team of Fekirs could become a reality eh? :-)

Liverpool seem to have a number of young talents on the brink of first team football, Elliott, Jones, Williams and Rhian Brewster the notable standouts.

Then down a level we've got Hoever (who i think is a top talent), van den Berg, Clarkson, Koumetio, Cain, Paul Glatzel etc.

Any idea what the plan is for players such as Glaztel and Hoever (who i believe are top class talents) for next season and beyond? In what way are the slub looking for them to progress?

AussieRedYNWA

1.) 03 Aug 2020 05:14:12
I've got high hopes for vdb tbh.

16 May 2020 05:42:55
with Lallana most likely off at the end of this season, will Liverpool be looking to strengthen with a versatile midfield player? Or does Klopp see Curtis Jones playing a little bit of a larger role next season, similar to Lallana this year? Grujic another option to stay at Anfield next season in this role? And another option could be Trent into midfield at times with Neco Williams playing right back?

AussieRedYNWA

1.) 16 May 2020 08:51:01
I'm more than happy with Fab, Hendo, Gini, Keita, Ox and Jones as our midfield options. Lallana barely played anyways so doesn't need replacing. Plus we have Milner as well.
Grujic I think will leave if a good offer comes in. The club seems to really want Werner and a CB so money needs to be recouped in the coming transfer window.

2.) 16 May 2020 09:47:22
I agree IB although a certain James Pearce has said we are not in for a centre back this summer, he obviously knows zip as usual. Carlos and Werner would be the dream summer window for me but the signs are we won’t have the finances with the uncertainty in the air cos of the virus.

Are Liverpool looking to bring anyone in to be a backup to Robbo or Trent? Looks like we need a bit of depth in that area especially if Trent starts to develop and get a bit of game time in midfield.

AussieRedYNWA

1.) 29 May 2019 09:44:29
We’ll probably be bringing in a back for atleast one, if not both. If Milner stays, I’d want us to prioritise a Trent back up, Gomez doesn’t look the same at RB but will keep being used there until we get a back up.

2.) 29 May 2019 11:33:43
i thought so. do the eds or anybody have any news on who these so-called squad players could be?

3.) 29 May 2019 11:49:49
Both Ed001 and Ed002 have confirmed we are looking for FBs. I wouldn't expect anything to happen until after the CL final, especially as the non-domestic window doesn't open for another 8-10 days.

11 Jun 2018 01:13:11
Haven't seen Pulisic talked about in a while. Any update? Cheers.

AussieRedYNWA

1.) 11 Jun 2018 05:49:42
He's in California on vacation, what would you like to talk about?

2.) 11 Jun 2018 06:58:02
Liverpool's apparent interest, think he would be a cracker of a signing especially if we fail to get Fekir.

3.) 11 Jun 2018 07:13:28
Pulisic can't play in a midfield 3 though. Definitely not a Fekir alternative. Klopp may go for him, but only if we can get a CAM on the cheap.

4.) 11 Jun 2018 08:10:23
Pulisic is a great dribbler, but the end product is severely lacking. He’s not going to pick a pass or beat a keeper from 30 yards. If Mane were to leave he’d be a great replacement on the wing, but as a number 10? No, not really the right player.

5.) 11 Jun 2018 08:19:05
I can probably only count on one hand players who I'd LOVE to join us and Pulusic is one of them. This kids the real deal, I'd be delighted if we signed him.

I am just hoping that if/ when we go for another first choice keeper we don't do a half job. Don't go out and get a Butland or someone of that standard just to fill a hole. Do a proper job, get a proper number 1, Oblak, Alisson or anyone of their sort of calibre.

the 0-0 at Anfield last year shows why. City will not want to fall 9 points behind but at the same time will be eager to cut it to 3. Pep has to find a balance. I think we will look to take them on the counter but Pep needs to be wary not to commit too many bodies forward. Very excited for this weekends fixture.

do you think he'll still be with us when he reaches his peak? Alisson has years to go just yet.

i think its more down to his different role because every now and then we see him making a run for us and wonder why he doesn't do it more often, which he is more than capable of doing, seen through his role in the dutch side. quality player. absolutely love him.

he is definitely a klopp player. if he stays injury free and starts the new season like he finished the last, the rest of the league won't know what's hit them.
