So, Salah now coming out saying "He is more out than in".
what, or should we say, who is the double agent in our club who hasn't got contracts out in front of Salah, VVD and TAA?
This is ridiculous. Even to keep these players now will potentially cost more as they have backed our staff into a corner. It will take millions to get half decent replacements. How long have FSG been part of this club now, yet they always seem to amaze us!

Bazzinga

{Ed001's Note - this is not FSG, they do not deal with contracts.}

1.) 25 Nov 2024 10:23:03
Who ever is sorting contracts out get it done now for god sake!

2.) 25 Nov 2024 10:29:29
Imo fsg put the people in place and set out the parameters, it's up to them to have the right people and the right parameters in place.
In the case of the contracts of vvd+ salah if they asking same wage as there on and 2-3 year contracts if the people who in place, (ward I believe from ed1 info) who deals with contracts shouldn't be dealing with contracts, or if the financial policy is not to give contracts of that length to 32/ 33 year olds no matter how good they then the parameters set out are wrong.

3.) 25 Nov 2024 10:31:19
Ed001, I'm not saying that FSG do the contracts, but ultimately as the club owners they employ those that do? As the club owners, you would expect those that are in charge of the contracts not allow the assets to run down and leave for nothing?

{Ed001's Note - so direct your ire at the right people then. If FSG started interfering, everyone would be moaning about it.}

4.) 25 Nov 2024 10:41:31
Exactly, Ed01. I don't want FSG telling the manager who to buy either so enuff with the FSG bashing directly/ indirectly as it's getting boring now. Next thing you will hear is FSG getting the blame for someone missing a tackle and the oppo. scores.

As Longthing76 said, whoever is in charge should be called out if you disagree with Salah not getting a deal. Don't know who it/ they (cos Hughes is not one of them either) and frankly, I don't care.

5.) 25 Nov 2024 10:45:57
Ed1 - people already moaning about FSG mate no matter what the reason lol

People love the narrative that FSG make everyone work with a handbrake on.

Why would Cunha sign a contract extension and then leave in 6 months?

MK, your point isn't true though. Those players were signed by us and then stayed on loan.
TAA, if he has agreed to go, isn't staying with us on loan but as our own player and then leaves. So, yes his actions would ve different to those you mentioned.

Vango, the issue with Nunez is he only appears to have these issues in a liverpool shirt. In them other teams and for other managers he seems to play and score.
My opinion is that he just tries too hard for us. Unfortunately we are unable to change that. So we need to change him and get someone that can add the goals to the game.

Mk, not sure how you decifer i am some FSG nut job? Have I upset you, as i don't agree with your idea as some of your little fan club here?
FSG do not spend willy nilly on players, especially when they have two players already in the RB position.
Out of the top six teams, Liverpool are the lowest spenders on players. FSG are wiser how they go about their business. It's shown, yes they will spend when required. However, to let TAA get to with 3 months of being able to negotiate for a move for free tells me then feel comfortable in their position.

MK I do not get your thought process in your reply. You state we have Bradley and Calvin, so why would we then replace TAA?
The only reason I can see the club losing TAA isn't to replace him, but to save his wages and gave Bradley for his role. They wouldn't pay to replace TAA when we receive no funds for him.

I see people still want Kerkez. The guy has been interviewed twice saying ' I will not move to Liverpool'.
He is a self confessed Man Utd fan. As good as a player he can be, that comment alone for me means he's not interested so let's move on!

Liverpool at 10 men played better, but that sometimes happens. We didn't deserve to lose that game the way we took it to Fulham, so all in all a fair end result.
Robertson I think has no lost a bit of confidence for what ever reason and making a few to many rash challenges and this is hurting us. Losing Konate too has been a big upset and could do with him back.
Jota showed for me, why he has to be the main striker when fit as he finishes and Nunez doesn't.

WDW, I am not saying my opinion is right either, but also from a mature person who has worked in a number of roles that require strong management ability I just cannot see what Hughes has brought to the table.
cheisa was, as you say cheap, but 12m and his wages are still a considerable amount and prevents a young player to come through.
Maybe slot did want Zubi but he was also told that he was a coach and not a manager, so Hughes, as like all professional sports management should have a plan b, even a plan c. So, that's why I do not think Hughes appointment has worked well.
Maybe he can come out and defend himself, but for me the club seems to have an issue where they haven't tied down three of our top players.

WDW, so Hughes was brought in to be a director of football. Part of that role, to determine players fit for the club. So, since coming in he had bought what, two players: Cheisa and Mama who won't be here until next season.
Cheisa is an injury prone waste of 12m. He look at Zubimendi and didn't have a back up plan.
So, what I'm i missing what he has done for the club?

Hey Hughes, is that you under the name 'Rigsby'? Ha ha ha.
Yes, Salad, VVD and TAA are still performing but their contracts should never have been in this situation. That is plain and simple to see. If they now start of under perform they could blame the pressure of contract negotiations!

How did Hughes have any input on Alisson and Salah being brought in when he was nothing to do with Liverpool? I'm sure we wouldn't ask the thoughts of Hughes opinions when DOF at Bournemouth some 6 seasons ago!

I'm not sure how you can feel that his one potential action of giving an opinion on Slot to becoming manager justifies his position? Hughes is out of his depth, a bit like Ashworth has been at Manchester United.
