Eds, Has any club shown any interest in Allen this window?
Considering if any better pedigree out there, I would swap either one for another quality Midfielder.
Both aren't adding anything to the team, I am afraid.

{Ed001's Note - Swansea did.}

Eds, if you are around here

Reports coming out, Lucas is nearing an exit on a loan to Napoli with an option to buy next summer?

Do you have anything on this?

Boom

{Ed002's Note - See earlier answers.}

Heard Jackson Martinez would replace Balletolli at Milan.

Eds. Is there any interest in Martinez from Milan?

Boom

{Ed002's Note - Porto are prepared to cash in on Jackson Martinez with varying degrees of interest from Valencia, Milan, Inter, Arsenal, Roma, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, Spurs, Galatasaray, Juventus and Barcelona in recent months. However, whilst Porto were seeking a lot of money for the player (two bids from Juventus were turned down and Milan baulked at the original asking price) it left only Inter with a "creative" financial solution and his representatives talking to Valencia - which seemed the likely destination. Porto have now dropped the price a fair amount and Milan are talking to them about taking the player in the next few days.}

Eds, Searched the whole search engine,

Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Looks a promising player, lethal finishing and good pace. Anything you would like to add regarding a move?

Boom

{Ed002's Note - I would not expect to see Liverpool playing Mitrovic this coming season.}

Why does Kopp always wait till 60 minutes plus to make his first substitution. Then next one in last 10 mins. If it's not working what's wrong with half time substitutions or even first half. It would give the players a kick up the arse and give the sub (s) time to make an impact.

If he dosen't fancy Sturridge or Original give one of the young lads a chance. Not saying a full team change like in cups (although after Hull?) .
Bringing on or starting one of the kids will see what they can do with experienced players around them and I'm sure the crowd would back them more than some of the dross we have on show.

We all have our opinions of which players should stay and which should be kept. I know not all the young lads will make it but if one or two could come through it would allow Kopp to spend the money on players we definitely need.

Don't say the kids are to young. If you are good enough you are old enough. Was Gerrard, Owen, Fowler ect to young. When I look around if a player at a top. team isn't playing regularly by 21-22 years of age chances are they won't make it at all.

Because he doesn't want to disrupt the flow and rhythm of the game and the tactics. A new player could be a wrong sub or a right one which is a gamble. He trust his first eleven to finish the job unless they are being dominated by the opposition which has never been the case. The problem is his tactics towards teams who sit back and absorb the pressure.

2.) 06 Feb 2017 18:18:44
Agree with some of that but earlier substitutions allow the new player or players to get into the game and so influence the flow and rhythm of the game not have to rush around trying to get up to pace and make an influence. I don't mean late substitutionsummer are always bad and they can work but when it's obvious things aren't going well change it don't wait till its to late.

I agree with Boom if something hasn't worked for 60 minutes then it is a strange assumption to make that it will somehow work in the next 20 minutes but, if not, then we'll change it with barely any time for the impact of such change to be felt. If things aren't going your way substitutions should be made quickly and decisively - there is no guarantee of success but good substitutions are were managers make their money - just waiting until its too late is not what any world-class manager would do.

{Ed001's Note - was Paisley not world class then? How many times did he change what the team were doing? If you have belief in what you are trying to do, then you don't want to change that for something you don't believe in.}

4.) 07 Feb 2017 06:46:45
Paisley had world class players and leaders all over the pitch. It wasn't very often he had to make substitutions because the players on the pitch couldn't change or adapt to the game. Plus Paisley had only one sub not the 3 we get now so we could change one player at half time and still have more to change than Paisley had.
The players now are now where near as good and we have no leaders on the pitch.
All managers even Paisley had a plan B so they want the first 11 to do well and win but they know it dosent always happen so they also believe in the subs they have can change the game or they may as well not use any subs with your argument.
We all know Paisley was a brilliant manager but you offer a very poor argument using him as an example as they way sub substitutes are use now is completely different to Paisleys era.

Eds. Soemthing aside Sterling and England.
If you remember. Who were the keepers we were interested in before Mignolet?
Was it only Begovic?
Someone said here, We looked for a top class keeper for more than 6 months and came with Mignolet?. I can't believe this.

Boom

{Ed001's Note - we were looking, and continued to scout Trapp, Navas (that joined Madrid in the summer) and there was at least one other ruled out as it was felt he was too old to be a long term option. By the club, not Rodgers, I should point out.}

4 Must needed signings.

Retain Borini to be your back up striker ( Young, Hungry, 23 year old and hard working )

World class Striker, Keeper, LB and DM.

We would have been title favourites.

Ed002, This one request to you, If you are in touch with the agent who got Cheslea the bumper deal for Luiz with PSG, We would defo need him in Jan and with no improvements resulting dropping out of CL, We would need him big time in Summer.
Fees won't be a big asking point, We would defo need some suitors for some of our players.
