Hi Eds,

Heard yesterday on a transfer podcast that Liverpool have begun negotiations for Timo Werner, to buy now and loan back until Summer 2020. Any truth in this? Thanks

CarlosJackal.

CarlosJackal

{Ed001's Note - no.}

1.) 29 Oct 2019 12:49:47
Great player. Shame there's no truth in the podcast.

2.) 03 Nov 2019 11:20:30
i know we probably aren't in for him, but with his new contract a lot of news reported that it had a very low release clause so that he would sign. is this correct?

{Ed001's Note - no idea, but he wants to go to Bayern and they want to sign him.}

3.) 03 Nov 2019 12:13:31
Do you think it will ever change in the bundesliga, it seems as though any top German talent is just earmarked to move to Bayern at some point.

I’m pretty sure the Leverkusen manager said he’d prefer to see havertz go there than abroad. Surely you shouldn’t be saying that as the manager.

I guess lewandowski isn’t getting younger, good to get in Werner now to get up to speed.

Although I don’t see their coach surviving the season, who do you think will end up replacing kovac?

{Ed001's Note - it will change as Bayern are falling behind in Europe and players will choose a chance of winning European competitions over Bayern in time.

I have no idea who will replace Kovac, though teams usually go reactive after a failed choice and look for something different. So maybe instead of a young, up-and-coming manager, they will go for a big name experienced man such as Mourinho.}

4.) 03 Nov 2019 13:53:58
Agree I’m hoping havertz is the first to make the move, but I feel like that is merely a fantasy!

Indeed I’m surprised Mourinho or wenger domt have new jobs now.

Hi Eds,

See Real Madrid linked again today with another push for Klopp again this summer. Any chance of this happening you think and would it depend on if we win the league or not?

If it happened must be some quality replacements out there we could entice. Gallardo, Simeone, Allegri for example.

CarlosJackal.

CarlosJackal

{Ed002's Note - He is by no means first choice for Real Madrid so it is unlikely.}

1.) 06 Mar 2019 15:03:59
Thanks Ed.

2.) 06 Mar 2019 17:00:31
I think Mourinho might be back there next season.

{Ed002's Note - He is first choice of the board.}

3.) 06 Mar 2019 18:21:15
Klopp may not be first choice but I bet they'd bloody love him - which I'm guessing is vunlikely due to them, him and us!

4.) 06 Mar 2019 19:01:54
Wow. Is Mourinho really first choice? I can't imagine a more toxic combination at the moment.

5.) 06 Mar 2019 20:52:11
Apparently there were conversations as soon as Zidanzw walked. He was also sat in the stands last night.

As was Ramos. Filming in his box lol.

6.) 06 Mar 2019 20:52:46
Zidane even.

7.) 07 Mar 2019 11:02:53
Can't think why any manager would go there TBH. I know they probably pay good money but that team needs a lot of work and most managers end up looking for jobs again after 12 months.

Hi Ed's

Do you think we should start getting concerned about Firmino's contract situation yet? I think we all know Emre Can is running down his contract and Firmino's is up season after next.

I thought the general rule of thumb was not to let contract run down less than 2 years to go for key players. Just interested if anything should be read into no news on Firmino yet.

CarlosJackal

{Ed002's Note - Firmino has more than two years to run, so no.}

1.) 20 Nov 2017 19:40:47
As Ed002 indicated, his contract runs until the beginning of July 2020.but I do think we'll renew in 2018.

2.) 20 Nov 2017 19:14:47
Ok thanks Ed, apologies I thought was ending after next season but thanks for confirming otherwise.

Eds,

Any idea if Ragnick would be considered as Director of Football or Sporting Director? Was intrigued by him as coach at Hoffenheim, especially policy towards youth before health issues. I just saw he is involved in Austria and Germany as Sporting Director. Been struggling to think of decent options so thought he could be an option?

CarlosJackal

{Ed002's Note - It is simply a random name and I have zero interest in speculating over the subject of "Directos of Football" etc..}

1.) 02 Apr 2015 23:49:23
That's fine Ed. I guess the club have no interest in speculating about names either. It was a bit of a 'random' name to be honest. Probably a 'flashback' to when I liked the look of him around Rafa exit time. Must get those flashbacks treated.

2.) 03 Apr 2015 12:32:24
Coutinho to me is the better player, and a very genuine and humble person and if you watch him in interviews unlike the comparison, he actually shows desire to succeed and win trophies whilst actually at Liverpool for that reason I'd rather watch sterling walk out the door then coutinho

3.) 03 Apr 2015 12:33:09
Apologies eds I think I sent that reply to the wrong post mate haha

Ed,

Do you think LFC will break the £100m GBP spending mark on players for the first time ever this summer? Got to think the owners/directors are doing everything possible to give Rodgers the squad he wants.

CarlosJackal

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Eds,

I keep getting Tulisa pop ups, what's with my cookies:)?. Apologies for same old same old, but can I ask for a summary of LfC transfer activity as you know it at ths point in time?

Apologies if ICAQAT or RTP or Suarez is a DF.

Cheers eds {Ed002's Note - Tulisa pop ups are an age related problem Carlos. Strapping a lollipop stick to it with rubber bands works for a while, but in the end you just have to live with them.}

Just registered but been here since 'Nam. Always appreciate the knowledge you share even when its not what I want to hear:) cheers eds {Ed002's Note - I was a couple of years too young for Nam fortunately. Otherwise I would have ended up living in Canada.}

Get a VPN like Nord VPN or Express VPN for them and then get onto a US server before firing up Fubo app and should be able to use it fine from the UK.

I have also read LFC are covering his wages whilst he's on loan.
