Hi Eds, I've seen a few rumours linking us with Malang Sarr and Evan Ndicka. Do you know of any interest from Liverpool in either of those two players.

{Ed002's Note - Malang Sarr (CB/LB) has held talks with Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen about a move and Borussia Mönchengladbach, Torino, Fiorentina and Atalanta have also declared an interest. RB Leipzig had another who was seen as a Dayot Upamecano replacement but had Sarr in mind as an alternative - although that need has now gone. I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool.}

Hi Eds, wondering if you know of any interest in Alexandro Bernabei?
Seen some tenuous links to him as he's a young attack minded full-back who could provide cover for Robertson. Although I would think a work permit could be an issue.
Also do you know if Thiago Alcantara has handed in a transfer request and are Liverpool definitely in for him?
{Ed002's Note - (1) Alexandro Bernabei would not be eligible for a Work Permit unless the club played well over the odds. (2) I am not aware of any approach from Liverpool to Bayern Munich at this time so handing in a transfer request to lose €2M would be a dumb thing to do as far as I can tell. If Liverpool are interested, they need to approach Bayern Munich which to date they haven't.}

Hi Eds, what's your opinion on Shaqiri looking ( according to the athletic ) like he might stay?
They said as well that Harry Pickering is a cheap option as a backup left-back.
Also do you know of any interest in Hoffenheim youngsters Nick Breitenbucher and Melkamu Frauendorf?
Seen some reports on them lately.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have to consider what they can sell Shaqiri for and how much they could spend on a replacement for the first team squad. If there is no interest it leaves little choice than to stick with him. Many clubs are looking at trading players and few have cash to spend.
Harry Pickering (LB) Crewe Youngster watched at the start of the year by Brighton, Reading and Watford.
Melkamu Frauendorf (AM) is a well thought of 16 year old and I know Union Berlin made an enquiry that was rejected for family reasons, but a transfer to the Liverpool and the UK at this time would be very complicated, although potentially possible.
Nick Breitenbucher (LW/RW) There have been discussions between Hoffenheim and Chelsea about the kiddie but there is also interest from Schalke who are looking at exchanges, kids and Free Agents.}

Hi Eds, seen the echo saying that reports in Portugal are suggesting that Liverpool have an interest in Nuno Mendes at Sporting. Do you have any further information on this?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but there was interest from Manchester United in Nuno Mendesat the start of the year - but it went nowhere when they were asked for €25M for a 17 or 18 year old. It seems to be an odd thing for Liverpool to be spending even half that on a player for the youth team at this point.}

With no major signings expected, do you see Liverpool giving Wilson a chance?
Also have you got any information on the possibility of AFCON being pushed back a year till 2022?

{Ed002's Note - Buendia - I don’t know of any Liverpool interest. Cantwell - it seems to have gone. I don’t know if the plan for Wilson has changed or if the club will look to sell him. There is no agreement for AFCON yet but every chance it will shift.}

When klopp says he's looking for a starter, I don't think that spells the end for gomez. I mean lovren would've been regarded as a starter wouldn't he. He wasn't a fringe player.

Spot on, Robbie. People often think if a player is coming on to start them that means the player bring dislodged must be on his way out. If Carlos or any CB arrives, he will only b part of the rotation within the squad and nothing more cos Klopp likes to actually use the squad he has.

Exactly, JK23. VVD's the only guaranteed starter in that CB position. As to his having played every minute in the PL for two seasons in a row, is just crazy and a testament to his fitness levels and lifestyle off the pitch and the great work our physios are doing with not just him but will all our guaranteed starters esp. the front 3.

Hi Eds, do you think that Liverpool might sell Lovren then sign a midfielder ( Thiago ) this summer and have Fabinho as both a midfield and a fourth CB option?
Could be good for Hoever as well, maybe being joint fourth choice with Fab.
Also do you know of any specific targets Liverpool have that could be a back-up left-back who can maybe play further forward too?
If not, is there any players you'd recommend?

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained, my expectation is, regardless of my repeatedly explaining that there is no money, the Chief Executive saying that there is no money and Klopp saying not to expect any transfers, that there will still be a couple. If KLopp descides that the answer is to start looking to have players playing out of position as you suggest, it would only weaken the team. I would expect Wilson and Grujic ( agreat pity) to be sold and then he could add a player. As I have explained, the club are also on the cusp with non HG players. I think they should try to get Grujic a Work Permit and use him.}

Fabinho at cb doesn’t make sense his best position is clearly deep lying midfield. I’d really like the club to at least asses grujic in pre season before making the decision to sell.
What’s the point of loaning our players if not? He’s had a couple of seasons in Germany played pretty well stayed injury free. In a better team I think he could go up another level.

It might not happen yet as he apparently wants some assurances over game time.
If it goes through then it's a good deal for me.
We'd have to pay way over the odds for a player already at Robertson's level, so this transfer would be very clever.
