I'm 52, so I've followed Liverpool since the mid seventies, I'm lucky enough to have seen (on TV) every European Cup victory and defeat, it saddens me to think our mighty club will probably never win it again, I'm all for progress and moving with the times but our club has a special bond with this trophy. A big part of our club and its history has been tarnished, a bad day for Liverpool fc and a bad day for football football âš½.

{Ed002's Note - I am not so sure Liverpool are being excluded from future success. As I have explained, change is coming but the bigger deal is not going to go away - and there is a need for negotiation and discussion.}

I agree. The day LFC leaves the prem etc along with the other teams, is the day i quit football. It was already getting a bit much with the knee bending, the lack of crowds and atmosphere, the dodgy decisions every match, or the players going to ground for the slightest of touches. Personally i can't see it happening, although that is wishful thinking. Football is nothing without fans and i reckon 99.9% of fans will boycott it. Doesn't help being bankrolled by that beacon of trust J. P Morgan either.

Thanks for the reply Ed 001,hopefully with experience consistency will come,

{Ed001's Note - certainly I don't see many better options than him and consistency can be helped by better teammates getting him more of the ball in the right places to affect games.}

Bit late to the party here but I agree wholeheartedly that without ndidi Leicester would have been done, but in saying that he should have received a yellow early in the first half for a foul preventing a breakaway, maybe he would have played differently then, but hey ho that's football lol.

Hi all, a quick question for Ed 01 please, I, ve been very impressed with Pedro Neto all season, another wonderful goal yesterday, do you think he would be a good buy for Liverpool as cover and eventually replace Salah, Is he good enough to make that step forward in your opinion, first time post, great site by the way, keep up the good work.

{Ed001's Note - when on form he is brilliant, but he does tend to go missing for long periods in a season. He is certainly not Salah's level yet, but then who is? But he could be a good option to bring in as cover, though he does seem to prefer playing from the left, which might hinder that.}

Ed01, I actually love Neto and could see why Wolves let Jota go if indeed, Neto was his replacement. Like you say when on form, he is some player. Direct, Pace, power, trickery and of course, goals. However, he is a bit head down when running with the ball and is not that much of a passer. I do like him and he is one to watch for, IMO.
