I would be interested in Ed1 and ed2s view on who should be held responsible for this mess.

I am greatful to the owners for what they have done for our club but our PR and professionalism since they took over has been nothing short of shambolic. We had the Suarez debacle, numerous tapping up offences, tweet from one owner regarding Arsenals bid for Suarez and now we are asking the parents of a kid to lie!

Who's responsible, the owners, the MD, CEO, managers?

Whatever is going on it needs to change, it seems we have a club with no control and employees running around with no regard for the image and reputation of our club and as a fan I feel totally let down, again!

{Ed002's Note - Readd the posts. The club and in particular the manager are at fault. Both have done this before and both have history. Liverpool care not one iota about the people the screw.}

I don't post very often but catch up on posts 2 or 3 times a day. Been watching LFC for over 30 years and been passing on the passion to my kids. I may go in to a rant but I will try and stay on track!

Our club in my opinion is lacking true leadership throughout the club, from top to bottom. We over pay for a player (sometimes you need to to get the right ones I appreciate that) but on the other hand we squabble over a couple of million for others that we need.

Our manager seems to be a out of his depth (I hope he proves me wrong and goes on a fantastic run of result), there is no clear plan for players he buys or the style of football he wants to play. Now this is a problem that FSG created, he was not ready to take over on his own. I also don't want to slag the guy, there are plenty of others doing that. I think he has got ability to manage but this is defiantly a job too soon. I think ed 2 has stated this previously.

I have experience of building businesses and turning business's around, I left school with basically no qualifications but always had the ability to learn, something our club seems to fail to do. In my opinion our club needs leadership, taking by the balls and dragging up.

Leadership comes from the top, I do to want a corporate fool trying to bamboozle the media and supporters with corporate jargon, I want an honest management structure from top to bottom.

This starts with the MD and CE, who have both put themselves under pressure backing BR. I think they need replacing personally (I am an outsider looking in, so I will apologise if someone can make a case for them) along with BR, but, replacing all is too much to change in one go.

My point is, our problems are deeper than just BR, although I think replacing him initially is the first step.

I don't know if I have made my point (sat in a bar on a business trip, had a few!) but at least I feel better for getting it off my chest!!

Frustrating times but keep the faith, we will one day rise again!

I hate to bring up the whole director of football thing again but I believe the club would benefit massively from someone running the whole football side of things, how we will play, recruiting etc.

It seam as tho everybody is pulling in different directions at the present time!

I guess this Michael Gorden fella is kind of doing this at the minute to a certain degree but he seams to be just as clueless as fsg.

Completely agree with GGK.

3.) 24 Sep 2015 21:23:19
That would make some sense as Gordon is 12% of FSG.

4.) 24 Sep 2015 21:35:51
I meant to write as the rest of fsg

I wouldn't be too critical of FSG, they have backed the club and for that I am grateful.

I would just question their appointments, the next few months will give us an indication if they have learnt anything.

Being calm and getting thing right is paramount. Otherwise we will be having the same conversations/debates again in another 2 to 3 years.

What a great season, every player gave their all and as fans we cannot ask for anymore. We looked exhausted in our last 4 or 5 games and I think having such a small squad has cost us the title.

For those rivals writing us off next season and assuming this is a one off consider this:

In the last 19 games of last season and the whole of this our record reads;

Played 57 won 36 drawn 12 lost 9 points 120.

I am not saying we will win it next year but we will not be far off. It is all about the right signing now, not how much they cost but just the right ones in the correct positions.

Well done boys and thank you BR, you have done us proud!

The city fans were a credit to their club.

The players gave us a game to remember that will go down as a premier league classic.

A big thank you to all fans up and down the country that showed respect.

A great day for our fantastic Fantastic Football Club!

In these difficult times for David Moyes I think we should show our support.

I think we should hire a plane for the next home utd game with a trailing banner asking for patience and extend his deal by a further 5 years.

I think by this stage he will have finished the job he has started.

Any other suggestions for the banner would be greatly appreciated.

Ag, my post above was written before I had read your post. You articulated the point I was trying to make better then me!

We are a shambles and my guess is it's down to poor recruitment in senior positions.

We need an experienced football person to deal with all transfers to take back some control. This person should be the only person to speak to other clubs and open up negotiations.

Mmmm not great, shame they couldn't find him a place within the coaching set up. Top bloke who deserves better.

I suppose he was aware there was a risk of this outcome.

It looks like he has taken up the role, just hope he is happy!

It's just you, couldn't think of anyone worse to be manager of our club.

He is at the right club.
