hey eds a few questions if you don't mind
stevie nicol let it slip that klopp is being offered a new contract, any truth in this

secondly with the rumour coming out that dzecko has turned down chelsea and roma trying to raise cash would their stance on alisson change i know they say not available atm and will look to sell in the summer but they seem to need to raise the cash, what you think.

Insane2TheMembrane

{Ed002's Note - (a) IU have no interest in contracts, sorry. (b) I have no idea how you have come up with that convoluted thought but there is nothing in it.}

What a week, beat the leaders and then lose to the bottom and second from bottom teams in the league what a load of boll@@@@, with January ending on Wednesday let's hope that's the end of the January blip and it don't carry through to Tuesday but it was just not good enough tonight and i didn't even see their first until the replay as bt where showing Firminios goal in a replay, what's Gini thinking off its beyond me. The second Can should just take the player down at the half way line take a yellow for the team but two niggles to try and smartly knick the ball away and the third ill just put down to Moreno day dreaming again (their goals are bit of a blur for me) . got a few things to say about the players, so might as well have a say about them all (sorry about this)

Migonlet: again showed why he should never be our #1 apart from being stationary on his line most of the game for their crosses the one thing that sticks out for me was the goal from the corner that was rightfully disallowed, just after its it i plainly heard a shout of Simon maybe im hearing things but i wasnt the only one in the house that heard it then the camera angle pans out and he's stuck behind Barry, if you call the ball go out win the ball and go through the forward not everything has to be half hearted and the slightest impediment stops you

Arnold: Love this kid but this was his worst performance in a red shirt, the one advantage he normally has over Gomez and Clyne is his crossing and decisions to make that cross on the move and earlier than them both but tonight it wasnt there final ball was a disaster actually he cut back onto his left more times than not whether brunt intimidated him or not i don't know needs to shrug it off and get back to what he does best

Virgil: as he's bedding in from now to the eos he would normally get a bye ball, but actually didn't do much wrong some small mistakes some good blocks was not at fault for any of the goals in my opinion

Matip: again not at fault for any goals but needs to be stronger and when playing against a deep team him and virgil need to be more proactive with the ball

Moreno: what to say it was the moreno from last year some good movement going forward final ball a bit iffy and in my opinion at fault for the third and maybe should have even picked up rodriguez for the second. return from injury return to old habits

Can: as a Can fan i just have to admit it he looks half interested i've said above he's at fault for the second wouldn't complain about him being subbed could have came sooner

Wjinaldum: definitely his fault for the first goal no matter what happens next his decision making at times is up there with the three stooges absolute comedic chaos

Chamberlain: thought after the city game we had a player but was totally anonymous tonight, was he still frustrated from Monday don't know needs to get back t the city form as the jury is still out but i think there is a player there

Mane: I know people say he is in form, he's scoring but i see a guy totally bereft of confidence i can't remember when i last seen him take a right back and leave him standing as i said i think its a confidence thing and maybe Salah arriving as he has and the losing the African player of year to him to has dented his confidence

Firminio: great goal fluffed the penalty although most days it hits the underside like it did and goes in, thought hegazzi could have seen red for the tackle on him its really was a shocker goat man handled by the big brawny centerbacks and kept going back for more was the best of a bad lot tonight

Salah: as usual had his obligatory chances neat finish for his goal but id like to see him start a lot wider so he can run at the defence more think he's starting a bit too narrow up against the center backs up there with Bobby for best their tonight for us

Substitues
Henderson gets a bye ball just back from layoff but looked ok but still needs more urgency in his game, Milner, what to say energy misdirected at times gives his all just wish he was on t o hit the penalty. Ings, energetic and always tries but i would have preferred to have solanke in there for the physicality. all in all the subs where given time to affect the game and they did they gave us a glimmer of hope, but to be honest we could have used 7 subs in that gane we needed them with some off the performances

sorry for the blowout.

Matip not at fault for any of the goals? What match were you watching?

2.) 27 Jan 2018 23:18:38
Matip like bambi on Ice. Do you summarise for sky mate? Garbage defender.

3.) 27 Jan 2018 23:24:49
in know what your saying about the one he could have cleared but for me the fault or faults for that goal happen before it if you nip these mistakes at the start of the move the fluffed clearnace/ owngoal don't occur.

4.) 27 Jan 2018 23:45:12
Why are we not exploiting the space given to us on the wings, salah and mane are wingers, let them do their main job if they are offering nothing down the middle instead of constantly leaving it to the fullbacks.

Klopp shows no tactical nous sometimes, should have gone 442 and put on another striker alongside bobby.

06 Jan 2018 20:47:58
well its over and if the club is ill prepared its the height of stupidity, what i do think is that we have the replacement for couts already, I think its time for Firminio to step into the role I really think he's capable maybe go for a hard working real #9 (even tho if we don't im more than happy with Firminio in there at #9)

Insane2TheMembrane

1.) 06 Jan 2018 21:38:05
I disagree, Insane. IMO, Firmino is the most gifted at playing the no. 9 position the way Klopp wants it played. If you play him in the no. 10 role, he won't be able to get the likes of Mane and esp. Salah into the positions they get into to score the goals they score. Also if that was possible, don't you think Klopp would have seen that and played him there? Oh hang on a minute, he did.

In 15/ 16, he played Firmino behind Studge, Benteke and Origi at diff. times and clearly, it did not work to Klopp's liking as he has since changed it. IMO, leave Firmino where he is and try to replace Cou's contribution creatively. No need to reinvent the wheel here esp. since it has been done before and Klopp did not like it, clearly.

2.) 06 Jan 2018 21:38:09
Dolberg dolberg dolberg, firminio dropping back can't see why not.

3.) 07 Jan 2018 22:20:07
Clearly, you did not read the part of my post where I mentioned that Klopp already tried Bobbie behind the striker in 15/ 16 season and to him, it was not good enough hence, he changed it and moved Bobbie to CF. That will not change REGARDLESS of Dolberg, Laudrup bros. or any other Danish player you come up with.

hey edo1 was looking through your chat sites and was wondering would you consider doing one for fantasy nfl maybe not the most popular thing in uk but i know a lot of people who participate.

Insane2TheMembrane

{Ed033's Note - if you (and others) can go on our NFL rumors we can discuss this Fantasy NFL chat.

1.) 01 Nov 2017 23:50:29
nfl, really? no offense but its boring.

2.) 02 Nov 2017 08:03:30
It's not boring- it's just a different sport and an education in time management.

3.) 02 Nov 2017 09:27:22
Its really boring, and the officiating is horrendous! I'd rather watch baseball.

4.) 02 Nov 2017 09:29:13
And the worst thing about it is the name. How on earth can you call a game where the ball is their hands for 95% of the time FOOTBALL? Just hilarious, but not in a good way!

5.) 02 Nov 2017 09:36:46
All team sports have their individual attractions, the NFL is all about highly coordinated flashes of intensity. If you can appreciate that then you'll like the sport, if not you'll find it dull.

6.) 02 Nov 2017 15:24:43
I've enjoyed watching edited NFL matches, just the game itself. Can't spend watching 4 hours of a sport for 1 hour of actual play, which will involve maybe a third of that time actually doing things.

7.) 05 Nov 2017 10:07:48
Putney is correct here lads. Though first off, they mainly use their hands, and play with an egg. No feet. No balls. Not football.

Personally, i hate watching American HandEgg. However, I do like seeing the highlights because it cuts out the hours of adverts and analysis crammed into 15 minutes of actual play. Those 15 minutes are actually spectacular displays of skill, athleticism and tactics though. There are players in the NFL who could bench press Sam Allardyce, stand up, and then beat Salah in a 100m sprint. It's scary to watch at times.

Everybody has a sport they love though, and HandEgg is no different. I like Tennis, F1 and Golf. Most people would say they're boring too though!

Got a bit of a topic for discussion guys:
Lately Im seeing posts saying we miss Adam Lallana and tbh Im unsure about this because in a perfect world if all squad is fit I only see him as an impact sub, my reasoning being he is an attacking midfielder so our current attacking f our would be, Mane (left), Salah (right), Firminio (through middle), Coutinho (centre) like a diamond formation of a front 4, I can't see him replacing what should be the 2 more disciplined midfielders. So what you guys think is he a starter or is he an impact sub.

Insane2TheMembrane

1.) 01 Nov 2017 18:01:35
I'd like us to go back to the midfield of henderson lallana and Wijnaldum . That got us top of the league last autumn.

2.) 01 Nov 2017 18:21:16
so then hugh which one of salah, mane coutinho and firminio you drop for that to happen.

{Ed001's Note - has to be Coutinho, he has been, quite frankly, terrible since he came back this season.}

3.) 01 Nov 2017 18:37:39
Rotation for different games, but if everyone was fit and available, and it was a big game, then salah would be a great supersub.

4.) 01 Nov 2017 18:54:27
Salah sub? Hilarious! he would be leaving in 2 minutes if that was to happen! He has been our best player this season, followed by Firmino, Mane has been injured and when he came back from injury last time he was a shadow of the mane we know, Coutinho has been terrible and has already left the club mentally.

5.) 01 Nov 2017 19:10:48
The issue is getting them all fit and getting them on the pitch. The more players to pick from the better. I wouldn't say we are missing Lallana too much but he did do quite well last season. No doubt when we get Lallana back someone else will get injured.

6.) 01 Nov 2017 23:13:26
Lallana takes Wiji's place, not one of the forwards.

7.) 01 Nov 2017 23:21:43
Hugh, I stopped reading when you said our current main source for goals would be a good super sub. Give your head a wobble lad cos you need to do some more critical thinking. Lallana is a huge miss for us as he gives us more creativity in midfield and is the trigger for the press. Our mid's are too similar and that is where Lallana offers something different that the pothers can't.

Cou has not been good since he came back even tho he has score 4 goals in all comps. this season. He is clearly not at the level he was last season before his injury where he was simply tearing it up. He has to do better or Lallana should take his spot in CM next to Hendo/ Can and Wiji.

as much as i agree with what you said 100% im past that what is sticking in my craw is that you here the so called expert referees say that if your not 1005 sure you can't give a penalty and you clearly hear moss and the prick on the sideline say they don't know if lovren played the ball but yet they gave the penalty anyway, but we knew moss is inept he even broke their own law asking the fourth official what he seen on tv.

oblak plays behind a team that sets up defensively with good strong natural defenders so as good as he looks he's not as much to do as others.

i think the erratic performances of henderson deem he is not an automatic starter, but i like the guy he comes across pretty good guy and he does work hard for the team but i think it all goes back to the injury to the foot when he went for the operation the recovery didn't seem as smooth as was predicted and he seemed to lose a step, this could be in his head because the injury is always in the back of his head as it was said it could be managed but not totally healed but it could also be because the role he is being asked to play does not suit him either, just my 5 cents worth.

I think what you all need to think about is that Kieta is coming in, and apparently Klopp is looking at a dedicated 6, (from what i read here) that means the current midfielders are vying for the third midfield role as you can't see Kieta or the dedicated 6 being squad or bench fillers, all assumption but i get the feeling he's not totally happy with midfield as it is.
