Ed if u pay day 50m for a player is a permit not a issue where as if u pay 5m they would need permits etc?
Any chance of a quick run down on this if u got a chance pal?

Jay dub red.

{Ed002's Note - All non UK players require Work Permits or special case exemptions. Players who are international regulars, are highly paid or expensive will have fewer issues obtaining a WP.}

23 May 2022 22:42:25
Mbappe actually held talks with us! That’s 2 kicks in the b#%#%# in 24hrs 🙆🏻‍♂️🤣.

Jay dub red.

1.) 23 May 2022 23:50:34
I thought it was clear 2 days back when Klopp said he's numbers were crazy and not for us. That was clear hint he's agent was talking to us.

It's good to see top players at that level are interested coming it just shows how far we've come with Klopp.

It's time to start focusing on improving our commercial/ sponsorship deals which I'm hearing very soon will break our shirt sponsor deal in the world let's hope it's true.

2.) 24 May 2022 04:36:57
That was in reference to Haaland.

About Mbappe he said more clubs would be crazy not to be involved, or some such.

Now the Klopp extension last month makes more sense.

3.) 24 May 2022 07:31:24
The only talks we ever held with Mbappe were when he was with Monaco.

4.) 24 May 2022 07:44:29
We were never in with a shout of Mbappe simply because of the financial demands involved.
Fans can dream and hope, but FSG ain't going to pay north of £500k a week on any single player's wages. And rightly so.

5.) 24 May 2022 07:51:50
Direct quote from Mbappe "I talked to Liverpool because it's the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. I don't know why, you will have to ask her! It's a good club, we met them five years ago when I was at Monaco. It's a big club. "

6.) 24 May 2022 07:58:25
Mbappe has shown money is his motivation so maybe we dodge a very expensive bullet, the numbers he is getting are a joke and that would us out of ever being in the mix for him.

7.) 24 May 2022 08:08:59
Forget Mbappe he’s never coming to us and buy Nunez.

8.) 24 May 2022 08:09:58
Not that we had a chance, I'm glad he didn't come. He's shown what's important to him and greed won! These multi millionaire's tweaking for an extra few million is absolutely disgusting! Totally lost touch with the real world these top stars! And don't even start me on the snake agents.

9.) 24 May 2022 08:23:15
Agree @LancasterRed. Obviously we look for talent but we also seem to look for the all round character of the person when assessing transfers these days. It seems to be working if that’s what we are actually doing.

10.) 24 May 2022 08:23:41
Ed002, without poking the bear, I would be very interested to hear from you on how PSG are able to finance this Mbappe deal and stay within FFP, even in layman's terms, if possible?

{Ed002's Note - I have already answered this - how does it relate to FFP?}

11.) 24 May 2022 11:44:09
I know how talented mbappe is, but a player like that just wouldn’t fit at Liverpool anyways. As fun as it was to imagine (even though I never really paid it any attention, especially with ed002 saying no chance), we are better off with a cohesive pressing unit, and a team that would individually sacrifice for each other. Mbappe isn’t that.

12.) 24 May 2022 12:23:38
We'll never be a club that is going to pay those kinds of salaries. Our model is to pay the top tier salaries when they are into their third and/ or final contract with us.

Just to add to the mindboggling nature of Mbappe's deal - he's what 23 and will sign at least two more big deals in his career. Just think where that salary could go!

A similar story for Haaland and to a lesser extent Sancho - you can count the number of clubs that can afford to pay 21 year olds 300k+ pw and plan for those escalating salaries on one hand -with missing fingers.

13.) 24 May 2022 13:40:24
Imagine a club having to consult with a 23 year old kid who they can hire as his boss and his colleagues.
Another nail in the coffin that is football.
It’s a shame as well to be honest, it would have been interesting to see this guys career progression in one of the big leagues to see what he can do.

14.) 24 May 2022 15:09:38
Mbappe will cost in the area of around 200 Million for the duration of his 3 year extension. This is one fifth (approx. ) the cost of purchasing an EPL club (mid to lower table) .

That's how incredible this is.

11 Mar 2022 20:01:09
I said a good while back I think mo will be off from what’s been said it could be looking like it!

Jay dub red.

1.) 11 Mar 2022 20:16:24
Let him go. If he wanted to stay then he would step up and sign. Get as much money as we can for him and sign another forward.

2.) 11 Mar 2022 20:32:25
Needs to have a word with Gini.

3.) 11 Mar 2022 21:59:33
If he goes get anthony from ajax and bring in a proper number 9 lewandowski or kane 🥲😋😛.

4.) 11 Mar 2022 22:08:24
Have no inside word at all. but my general feeling is that whatever happens will be. is what it is. I am sure it will play out with cryptic social media tweets from Mo's brother or his agent that will push the fans against FSG lol But ultimately if he stays great, and if he goes then we will be fine.

5.) 11 Mar 2022 23:31:24
Spot on @Faith.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the club has done a bit of thinking about it and might even have come up with a bit of a plan 😉.

6.) 12 Mar 2022 04:36:55
Nope liverpool won't be selling him. He has a year to go by end if which he will be 31 and there are going to be few buyers who will offer him anything around his expectations in terms if salary.
He is also waiting to see what we do in summer and how aggressive we are to win things. Once satisfied with both aspects he will sign the dotted line. Mind you i don't see salah with us beyond his contract if klopp also leaves in 24.

7.) 12 Mar 2022 06:17:57
Using the same logic I predict Luis Diaz will leave at some time.

8.) 12 Mar 2022 09:35:55
If LFC can't afford the wages he's demanding, then he'll have to leave. Simple as that. We need to plan for the squad and the future. Having said that, I hope if Mo really loves playing for Liverpool, then he should understand the way the club works. He's still going to be the highest paid Liv player ever and should be looking at the possibility of winning titles as a bonus if he stays.

9.) 12 Mar 2022 09:42:09
I also know for a fact there will be a season sometime down the line where Virgil, Trent, Allison, Robbo, Fab, Mane, Thiago, Sadio, Hendo and Bobby amongst others won't be Liverpool players.

10.) 12 Mar 2022 10:44:40
If I was Salah, I would have signed ages ago. Surely a footballers dream is to become a legend, someone synonymous with a club. Someone who is talked about for generations to come.

Mo has the chance of becoming a real legend (Daglish, Gerrard level) at Liverpool - why would he not want this for the sake of playing for a different club for a couple of seasons. what if it doesn't work out for him?

No way I'd risk my legacy.

Just sign Mo.

11.) 12 Mar 2022 10:17:22
While the players are still playing for us, it's a time to enjoy the moment not lament what could happen.

12.) 12 Mar 2022 23:23:07
Selling him or letting him leave on a free is a disaster either way. Can’t think of one player in our price range who can step in and bang in 20 goals a season every season straight away.

13.) 13 Mar 2022 06:01:09
VVVV that would depend on what you believe we would get for Salah.
If we are being quoted £90m for Bellingham, !100m for Braut Haaland etc then I would not be happy with anything less than £90 for Mo.

14.) 15 Mar 2022 01:53:09
What are the chances of a Salah to Madrid and Mbappe to Liverpool as Edwards parting gift? Yowza!

{Ed077's Note - very very slim I would guess

13 Jan 2022 19:21:26
Rumours mo wants 450k a Wk that’s some money if true not a chance can I see the yanks handing that out!

Jay dub red.

1.) 13 Jan 2022 20:46:28
It goes up with every post.

2.) 13 Jan 2022 21:09:17
Dembele wants €850’000. Haaland wants £500’000. Mbappe wants over £650’000, I’d say he’s following the market. He’d probably get it if he left on a free.

3.) 13 Jan 2022 21:34:13
Blimey VVVV you really are in the know. You even took the time to mess around with converting different currencies. Can you tell me what Bellingham wants in Drachma now please?

4.) 13 Jan 2022 21:41:52
Well tonight’s a glimpse of the future!

5.) 13 Jan 2022 21:59:56
@VVVV 😁😁😁 can you factor in agent’s fees / payments, percentage of wage covered by sponsorships, incentives, bonuses and the other stuff - you seem to have a comprehensive set of data as to player’s financial requirements. By the way, I got the same numbers reading this forum and the Daily Mail 😁😁😁.

6.) 13 Jan 2022 22:21:06
To be fair I actually agree with VVVV this time. The top players are paid the top money, we can't compete with the mega rich teams financially.

I don't see our owners paying salah what he wants (or at least what the papers are claiming he wants) .

I also think salah knows this and even if he says he doesn't want to leave I really don't think he would care if he left for giant money.

I have a terrible feeling he will go on a free and we have no money to bring in ANY player, let alone a replacement for salah.

We always read about mbappe and haland but let's be honest, we couldn't of outbid Newcastle for wood even if we wanted to.

7.) 13 Jan 2022 22:49:48
Name one player we can afford who would adequately replace him West Derby, who we can afford. Just one. I’ll wait.

8.) 14 Jan 2022 01:01:44
Kun Aguero.

9.) 14 Jan 2022 01:25:07
We’d struggle to get a whip round for Ken Aguero.

{Ed0666's Note - I think the real Aguero could have done a job tonight for us even with a dodgy ticker.

10.) 14 Jan 2022 02:21:29
Is any player worth >200k/ week? Technically speaking NO but the reality is, clubs are paying insane money for players. Now, based on the insane world of football, is Salah worth 400k/ week? Absolutely! We know that he'll easily get that or more if he moves to a richer club.

Now, from a club's point of view, should they break the bank to pay a player that sort of money? I think if you want to be a successful club, you have to invest and you have to keep up with the rest. If LFC wants to be one of the best clubs in the world, they should buy and invest accordingly.

If they want to do a Leicester or Ajax, then don't be surprised that they cash in on players after winning some titles. As the saying goes, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

{Ed0666's Note - It would be an extremely brave board not to give Salah the contract he wants within reason. Regardless of the eye watering financials of it. Of course they will do it if it makes sense to them but if they don’t then I’m sure they’ll own the decision and move well all have to wipe out tears and move on.

11.) 14 Jan 2022 03:39:59
We have to give him what he wants as we are completely dependent on him as we speak. This is our own doings.

12.) 14 jan 2022 03:47:49
i have no idea who might replace salah vvvv, i had no idea who would replace suarez when he left or wijnaldum either, it’s not my skill set.

i will say that i’d like to see a number of players come in, particularly young bellingham, but that is because i like them as players and i readily admit i have no idea if the would fit into the manager’s plans.

to be honest i don’t think it helps though when posters read unauthenticated numbers on social media outlets and use them as fact to support their opinion that this or that is going to happen or, as in your repetitive refrain, that something can’t or won’t ever happen.

one final thought, as i said in a previous post (to which you didn’t reply) whilst we can’t afford to match city, chelsea, real madrid, psg etc we can, and do, make the occasional exception - vvd, ali as recent examples, so maybe if salah goes we buy someone …… the funny thing is, it doesn’t even have to be like for like and another way of looking at is might be that if salah goes we amend the system we use?

{Ed0666's Note - good point mate maybe a change of system may be in the offing well a tweaking anyway.

13.) 14 Jan 2022 07:37:02
WDW brings up a point that I often ponder myself about how many times we see stuff taken from social media and posted on here. How it's taken by some as stone cold fact and then used to fuel an anti player/ FSG tirade.
That's how certain newspapers manage to stay alive, they are dependant on people believing anything they read.
It's all very entertaining though during an otherwise drab transfer window.

14.) 14 Jan 2022 08:57:30
There might be a distinct possibility that FSG allow Salah to run down his contract and he leaves for free in 18 months, they do cost/ risk analysis on every player, Can and Wijnaldum met similar faiths in contract disputes. Simple question, would fans be satisfied to see Mo run down the remainder of his contract, bare in mind it almost coincides with the end date of Jurgens contract?

15.) 14 Jan 2022 10:45:22
I’ll answer that one WDW. We only made those signings off the back of selling Coutinho for absurd money to a desperate Barcelona. The only player remotely worth that kind of money in our squad is TAA. Not Salah, not Mane, not VVD and not Becker. And I’d contend that most would think it’s completely unpalatable to sell him.

And as the land lies, there’s not a lot of money out there barring the oil baron teams, Real or United. So other than selling TAA to any of City/ Chelsea/ PSG/ Real/ United/ Newcastle we have little to no hope of raising the funds to adequately rebuild to challenge for the title in future years other than hoping young players turn good, which probability wise is not in our favour. We got lucky once, it appears we used up all our luck in one go.

As it goes, we’ve no chance of Bellingham, the idiots online that even link us to him are delusional. Money talks and bullsh*t walks, and we don’t have the money, ed002 has dismissed any notion of Bellingham and repeatedly said where our interest is (Sanches/ Traore) and I’ve heard that from other sources too, which is concerning as for multiple reasons they’re not good enough.

And certainly if the suggestion is selling Salah to enable Bellingham’s purchase, I’d fail to see the logic as we’d still be having to find 30+ goals a season from somewhere. I’m still of the opinion we’re seeing a managed decline.

16.) 14 Jan 2022 10:58:30
Give him the money,

Put the ticket prices up 50% to cover.

Don't let kids in cheaper than adults.

Release, Adrian milner and origi to cover his wages.

No summer signings

17.) 14 Jan 2022 13:57:53
A managed decline led by the manager. He has 2 years left he needs to start throwing the owners under the bus if need be.

18.) 14 Jan 2022 13:58:33
Spot on, OMM, Flash and WDW. The Goalposts keep changing with Salah's alleged demands and if it changes so much, could it mean that nobody really knows? This question clearly never comes up.

19.) 14 Jan 2022 13:57:53

21.) 15 Jan 2022 00:34:03
I could do dembeles job at 100th if the price.

22.) 15 Jan 2022 00:50:32
It’s a simple world isn’t it VVVV? We sell Coutinho, we buy Ali and VVD, simple.

Salah scores 30 goals, Salah doesn’t play anymore, we don’t score 30 goals, simple.

Most dogs have four legs, most tables have four legs therefore most dogs are tables, simple.

We should all take turns running the club eh? I’ll book you down for the July for the next transfer window - your financial wizardry is obviously just what we need.

23.) 15 Jan 2022 08:45:04
What I’d like someone to explain is the term ‘managed decline’ and then to tell me why they think that’s really what FSG are doing because…. that makes no financial sense whatsoever….

24.) 15 Jan 2022 08:54:44
WDW most dogs are made of wood! Is that why they bark?

25.) 15 Jan 2022 11:41:21
Dembele will not get anything close to £850,000 a week. that's just nonsense.

26.) 15 Jan 2022 11:44:43
Coutinho was sold for circa £125 million. Liverpool purchased over £300 million in the 2 seasons. It wasnt just about the "coutinho" money.

31 May 2021 19:41:03
Seems to be breaking on the net TAA isn’t going be on the England bus! I’m sure he’d be gutted and we’d all be gutted for the boy!
He deserves a break and hope he gets his rest! Chin up Trent if true.

Jay dub red.

1.) 31 May 2021 20:39:55
Southgate is a complete tool, I hope England crash and he gets the sack. I haven’t watched England since he was appointed.

2.) 31 May 2021 20:43:19
I am happy but gutted for him.

{Ed014's Note - Southgate is a tool and wtf he is doing as England manager is a complete mystery.

Average player, crap manager.

3.) 31 May 2021 20:43:46
Southgate will hopefully be found out this tournament.

4.) 31 May 2021 20:44:19
Good news for Liverpool if true, not sure how Trent will feel though. Also would confirm southgate to be the muppet I always thought he was.

5.) 31 May 2021 20:51:56
Klopp will give Trent the support he needs he will be devastated no doubt every young footballer wants to be at the big tournaments! This will hopefully make him stronger and more determined to succeed and make that crow nose clown the mistake he made!

6.) 31 May 2021 20:59:02
He should give Southgate his number and tell him to pass it on to the new manager.

7.) 31 May 2021 21:08:30
To me it's a bit like not selecting a young Dani Alves because you've gone for Gary Neville and Danny Mills. If the Southgate does this I'll wager Trent ends up having a better summer than him.

8.) 31 May 2021 21:36:29
Hasn’t been confirmed but if true I’m speechless. This whole TAA going to the Euros has honestly got on my nerves. Not sure why it’s even a debate about him being in the side let alone the squad. Best right back England have but Southgate will most likely not pick him and start Tripper. The irony is on that same line of thinking Sterling should not make the squad because his form has been iffy this season but he will most probably start. I also don’t see it as a good thing for us because TAA is competitive and not to mention is still young so I’m gutted for him if the news is true.

{Ed0666's Note - TAA with a chip on his shoulder is good for us and bad for opposing defenders next season

9.) 31 May 2021 22:45:23
If I was Trent and left behind I would not play for him again. He said he was dropped for form but kept picking Pickford no matter how bad he was for Everton. Southgate is a joke media hungry idiot he showed that when he turned on Foden and Greenwood he said it was all done with then after an awful performance he chucked them under the bus same with Walker after his red card see he was upset in the interview but instead of support he goes on about how he should know better. Never should have got the job after making money out of his penalty miss straight after it. Horrible man.

10.) 31 May 2021 22:49:28
Southgate is England manager for one reason and one reason only - he will never discuss or attack the way that football development happens in this country because he actively wants the sort of average bricks of a player that it produces. Which would be far more of a problem is I have a damn about international football never mind England in international football, but it does say a lot about the future of the sport in this country without a radical change of personnel in charge.

11.) 31 May 2021 22:49:52
Being 100% selfish. I’m glad. He gets a rest. He certainly stepped up after the recent exclusion and if it means he plays out his skin next season with point to prove. Awesome. I’m not into international football except tournaments. U21 was good tonight. Anyway, England are not going to win this so there’s disappointment saved too.
But am gutted for TAA cause it’s important for him. At least everyone within pundits and a like are shocked which should give him a slight cushion to this blow.

12.) 31 May 2021 23:02:51
I'm completely gutted for TAA if that's true. but let's not wish the whole England team fail for christs sake its the only footy we've got until August. I've not felt the same about England teams since 96 but I'll still cheer them on against any team in Europe especially since the Eurovision fiasco.

13.) 31 May 2021 23:03:20
Southgate is a puppet that the FA want, a yes man and someone who keeps his mouth shut.

I'll be glad TAA gets a summers rest. Our national team never do well, we try to play European football which doesn't suit us.

14.) 31 May 2021 23:13:20
If it’s true then Hendo should leave the England squad and tell them he is going on his hols with Trent.

Maybe they should all meet up in Ibiza with Jurgen.

15.) 01 Jun 2021 07:05:40
Jurgen prefers Blackpool, mate.

16.) 01 Jun 2021 08:49:48
Southgate is a puppet, he was found out at the last tournament.

17.) 01 Jun 2021 11:15:50
If I was TAA. I’d throw my lot in with the National side and retire from International football.

18.) 01 Jun 2021 12:26:17
if the manager don't want the player so what?, also you need to remeber that you have your rose specs on and think every liverpool players is the best ever which again is not true, trent is a top player and a good offensive full back I think the best going forward in world or was 12 months ago, but there are 3 rbs walker, james, bissaka who are all better defensively having watch all 4 for quite some time, with james proberly being the happy medium decent going forward, decent at the back although not the best at either.

19.) 01 Jun 2021 12:35:50
Southgate has done one good thing ever. a Pizza Hut Advert with a paper bag on his head!

20.) 01 Jun 2021 23:20:59
Haha, all this Southgate bashing and tantrum throwing and TAA is in the squad, I expect you lot are all feeling rather silly now.

21.) 02 Jun 2021 06:31:39
Agreed thunderbird. A lot of bad energy in this post over absolutely nothing.

Enjoy the tournament or enjoy the break from football over the summer and the time off. No point getting so wound up over nothing lads.

11 Jun 2022 10:34:26
Tris I’m reading Nunez is our main priority signing this window!
I’d of actually thought a midfielder would of been but I guess with mane and maybe salah off this has changed.
Do u still think we will go big for a new mid addition?

Jay dub red.

{Ed001's Note - we have already signed a midfielder in Carvalho, it will probably depend who is available to sign as we have been trying. It is just not always possible to get a player you want.}

1.) 11 Jun 2022 10:50:37
Still possible Sangare may arrive from PSV. Admittedly I have never seen the guy play so don’t know anything about him.

2.) 11 Jun 2022 11:51:18
Sangre one rumour I've heard. Also we did want Touchemani (spelling lol) but he picked Madrid - could be if they can't get enough they want they're not prepared to just buy a midfielder - rumours too they could get Bellingham next year so if that's the case could be prepared to wait for the midfielder they really want.

The French lad I can't spell looked ideal as he could cover the 6 or the 8 so it might be that is what they want? Not sure but kinda glad they're not just buying for the sake of buying but only clearly identified targets. Tris would be a better on than me though to comment on this.

{Ed002's Note - Tchouameni was never going to join Liverpool.}

3.) 11 Jun 2022 11:58:01
Is Sangare actually worth buying or is it the want of the fans to get SOMEONE in? i've never seen him play but seen a lota people say his 2nd touch is a tackle, bit like Diao. If so i'd rather sign nobody.

{Ed002's Note - He is a very good and very well liked player.}

4.) 11 Jun 2022 12:00:33
Assuming Ox leaves and Naby signs a new contract we have 9 midfielders for 3 positions. Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago, Keita, Elliott, Jones, Milner, Carvalho and Morton.

That doesn't change that we do want one though and i guess there are 5 subs this season. I'm not going to panic if Klopp decides to stick though. Ox out, Carvalho in. Better than nothing.

5.) 11 Jun 2022 13:11:57
Was it just me who thought diao could have been a really good player? Always thought he was never given a chance to play his proper position in midfield.

6.) 11 Jun 2022 13:52:07
He did well for Stoke, aoe, and Rafa tried to give him a few chances when he arrived (compared to binning off Diouf straight away), so he wasn't awful. But he was probably a bit short of what a team in the top 4 needed.

MK - Despite us having a lot of numbers, we ended up relying on Keita a lot in the second half of last season and I remain unconvinced that he's good enough. That to me suggests that another first team midfielder would definitely see game time. May not necessarily be essential though.

7.) 11 Jun 2022 14:08:35
If Nabys not good enough what does that say about the guys that are behind him in Klopps pecking order.

Looking from outside to in It looks very much like Klopp had him as 4th choice in the pecking order.

8.) 11 Jun 2022 15:59:52
Really like sangare. Don't think we've the money though if nunez goes through. Maybe through other sales.

9.) 11 Jun 2022 16:05:46
Salif Diao was one of the worst players I've seen for Liverpool.
I read the story about Everton showing some interest in him and he was worried about going and it upsetting the Liverpool fans. Carragher assured him that they wouldn't hold it against him in the hope of him being sold!

10.) 11 Jun 2022 18:03:23
JK - it tells you Ox is not good enough and will be sold, Jones has failed to kick on due to a combination of niggling injuries and poor decision making on the pitch (I think he needs a loan to play every week to fix that), Elliot got a very bad injury which set him back, and Milner was 36 and would probably struggle as the 4th midfielder when we had to play twice a week nearly every week for 2 months. I don't even count Morton cos he's a kid with 1 PL start to his name.

I don't think any of those views are especially controversial?

As I've said before, the biggest thing I derive from Keita as 4th choice is that we could do with another midfielder. He was good for about 3-4 games and that was it.

25 May 2022 18:36:21
We bought Salah for 40m was it if he leaves on a free so be it he’s more then paid that money back with his goals the last few years good luck to the lad hopefully If he leaves he’s a CL winner again!

Jay dub red.

1.) 25 May 2022 18:51:13
That's not the point it's going to Coast us replacing him so it makes no sense at all letting him go for free.

2.) 25 May 2022 18:56:04
Same for Mane, what was he bought for £36m? They'd owe us nothing. Saying that i don't think we'll be saying goodbye to both of them next summer.

3.) 25 May 2022 19:10:58
It's a contract. We can't blame Salah for honouring his contact and then leaving. We're not Boris Johnson and try to change things because we got what we wanted and then decide it no longer suits us.

4.) 25 May 2022 19:18:31
Kopforever that lfcs fault! Salah and mane owe us Notting! Money has changed since we bought them! If they go for free so be it! I’d rather a good year more of salah and mane then someone low ball
Us and get f all!
Just my view!
Salah owes us nothing just like mane!

5.) 25 May 2022 19:20:13
Think we'll be saying goodbye to 1 of them this summer. mane is holding of comment till after champions league final. Enough said sadio.
Time to get a new forward player in I think.

6.) 25 May 2022 19:22:33
Well Salah has apparently confirmed he'll still be here next season, so you can unbunch your knickers and relax now.
Mane says he'll reveal his decision after the final.
Either of them will be difficult to replace, but if there's any crew that can come up with the answer it's Klopp and his backroom staff.

7.) 25 May 2022 19:23:50
Kop. but atleast we'll have another year of 1 of the best footballers on the planet. And another year to find a suitable replacement. Still hopeful.

8.) 25 May 2022 19:29:13
Jay mate I get what you're saying but LFC can do the same and play hard ball? Coz it would be absolutely foolish to let players like Salah Bobby even mane if he decides after watching how Salah's contract is dealt then we are in trouble.

For me only LFC matters and I'm just thinking from our Clubs pov.

9.) 25 May 2022 19:30:28
Spot on magico mate!

10.) 25 May 2022 18:49:46
Only asking Jay out of curiosity so your happy enough for Mo to leave on s free next season?

11.) 25 May 2022 18:50:05
Jay you've been dissing him for weeks now pal.

12.) 25 May 2022 20:05:33
Be crazy if mercenary Salah stays with us and angelic Manè jumps ship at the 1st superpower to show a bit of interest😆.

13.) 25 May 2022 20:20:58
Walkon his form has massively dipped the last 6 months! And if a good over comes in I’d take it! But on the other hand if he leaves for free so be it he owes us nothing!

14.) 25 May 2022 20:24:31
Barry mate! I dunno what’s up with mo
Maybe tired I dunno! Yes I’d let him go for free next season!
We could give him a big contract and that form
May never return!
I want what’s best for us as a club!
But I’m just saying the lad has ripped up history charts with his numbers and brought glory to us (along with others) so I’d not begrudge him to leave free! As I say I think him n mane have paid back their money!

15.) 25 May 2022 20:28:34
Thing is though, replacing them is going to cost a fortune, and whereas I can think of a few players who could replicate Mane’s contribution goals and assist wise, there’s very few out there who can do the same as Salah and those that may be able to do it will cost an absolute fortune. And can you see our owners going to that kind of money without money from sales? Because I can’t.

It’s either sell or sign and nothing in between.

16.) 25 May 2022 20:42:13
Haven't we got a final to look forward to?

17.) 25 May 2022 21:22:10
Sorry for chatting rigsby forget at times what this forum is about 👍🏼.

18.) 25 May 2022 21:22:43
VVVV Salah was our fourth choice was he not? Just what I've read. We make the players who they become. Look at Hazard, Coutinho, etc. Can't sell players if they don't agree to the move and it seems Salah has his heart set on a big signing bonus. He may come to regret it if he gets a bad injury which of course I hope that he does not. I have total faith in Klopp and his staff to do what's right for us. Diaz being the prime example. He's arguably now our main man. Next season he will be.

19.) 25 May 2022 21:45:16
Salah stays and runs down contract. Mane leaves this summer. Bigger question is do we buy another striker or was Diaz Manes replacement?

20.) 25 May 2022 21:59:28
No, I'm sorry, Jay Dub.
Feel free to sort out Salah's contract, mate. And it's ok if you want to sell him and replace him with someone else before Saturday 👍.

21.) 25 May 2022 22:03:50
One thing i love about this club is that we are competing without spending big like the Manchester clubs and Chelsea. I hope nothing changes in that regard. So much more rewarding and satisfying. To think we got Diaz for the same price almost as Mane and Salah years later is fantastic. Get one more year out of Mo and bring in a sadio replacement if he chooses to leave this summer.

22.) 25 May 2022 22:04:44
Ok Jay I respect your opinion. So 1jj that leaves us with Luis, Bobby, Mo and Jota. I believe that we need one more up top.

23.) 25 May 2022 22:18:34
Barry i agree but we went years w just 3. We've been spoiled this season.

24.) 25 May 2022 23:53:36
Think the club has a system and identity its aiming for.

Young players will come through the ranks to replace older players, big fees will be spent if needed.

I'm not having that klopp has signed an extension to loose his front 3 and have no plan.

It'll all be in hand, out the blue a signing will come in.

Personally think mane is gone and its the right time to start a front 3 rebuild without loosing all 3.
Think diaz was manes replacement brought forward.

Can see a number 9 in the summer, Bobby 2 year deal. Salah I'm 50/ 50 on just don't see anyone giving him 400k at 31 unless his numbers are massive again next year.

25.) 26 May 2022 04:36:52
Meg Salah will take a lower wage for the right signing bonus. I don't see us backing down and i hope that we don't. In 2-3 years we'll have more names to add to our all time XI.

26.) 26 May 2022 09:04:20
Likes of Gordon nd Musialowski are a year older too and could do a job in the cups, easier league games etc.

20 May 2022 19:59:41
Love reading we will smash smoke and destroy real in the final!
I remember reading they were finished when we met them last time in the champions league and they battered us in their training ground!
I take it they’ve got to this final and won their league at a canter because they are rubbish!
I’ll take a sloppy og 1
Nil win against them in the final!

Jay dub red.

1.) 20 May 2022 22:39:00
It’s going to be a hard game. I’ll take a scrappy 1-0 with Origi being the hero.

2.) 20 May 2022 22:44:34
They are rubbish and past it. Walk in the park this is.
Only messing they scare me to be honest, they look garbage for periods and as soon as you switch off for a second they score. The Vini Jr vs Trent battle is going to be interesting for me.

3.) 20 May 2022 22:46:10
Aw mate, did anyone say we’d smash them last time? I was worried last time. This time, aw I want revenge and I think we have the team and the nerve to do it. Last time it felt men against boys. This time I think there are players across the park that can win us the game. I think we’ll win. I hope we’ll win. Regardless- it’s been a great season.

4.) 20 May 2022 23:13:24
We were over reliant on salah last time. This time we have more threat from different players from forwards to our defenders from set pieces.

5.) 21 May 2022 03:45:41
My only concern is with this madrid side even if we blow them away 3-0 at 80 minutes . They can come back 3-3 at 95 minutes. They are too much like liverpool of 2017 and we are too much like madrid of 2017.
But good thing is we know who won in 2017. Neutralise benzema and its over.

6.) 21 May 2022 06:41:37
This real team is an ageing team with mostly the same players from when we last met them. The team we have is much better, plus we don’t have karius anymore and hopefully salah will play and there’s no Ramos with his dirty foul play either. The Liverpool team we have now is much better than the Liverpool team that player them before so I think we will smash them. They are still dangerous but I genuinely believe we will do the quadruple.

7.) 21 May 2022 06:43:21
It's gunna be close!

8.) 21 May 2022 08:25:17
People forget they scored 2 absolute shocking goals due to who was in goal that game. We’re miles ahead of them as a team and if we play well we win.

9.) 21 May 2022 08:37:34
We have grown since the last time we played them. They are to be respected of course but we are fully able to win the final and we should back our players as they have consistently proved themselves over the last few years.

Klopp and his team of coaches have assembled a pretty powerful unit and if they get what they deserve then we will become European Champions in Paris.

10.) 21 May 2022 08:47:44
For me Ancelotti is the worry. We’ve played against his teams prior and he manages to get results against (Everton and Napoli)

11.) 21 May 2022 09:56:14
We were out of sorts the last time we played them.

12.) 21 May 2022 10:10:22
When you look at Madrid's team they look a shadow of former teams, 30 plus footballers all over the pitch. Somehow they still produce so its not a fluke. Give them the respect they deserve but don't fear them. They are a good team and they have a great manager but so do we. I'm confident we can win.

13.) 21 May 2022 15:29:02
They’re a good side but waning, if we’re honest with ourselves it’s one we should be winning and I have full faith in us to do so. Trent v vincinius isn’t the worry it’s the midfield, we need Fabinho fit to play with Thiago and Henderson, keita can’t start he doesn’t have the discipline. If we both okay our game it’s a comfortable win for us. Diaz man of the match I think.

14.) 21 May 2022 15:33:13
Origi slams in an offside goal and it's missed by VAR. Everybody will whine and bitch about LiVARpool BUT I can live with it. No7 please.

11 May 2022 19:00:31
It’s a mad aul world when u hit 30 yrs of age and your basically looked at as been old!
Ye look back at old pictures Bobby charlton as bald as you can go with his little flick of hair still playing amazing football!
Football is a cruel game now!

1.) 11 May 2022 19:30:05
I think for most fans it's less that they expect Salah or Mane to be on zimmerframes in 3 or 4 years, and more that if we extend their contracts until they're 33/ 34 we'll either be extending them again until they're 36/ 37 (by which point there will be a decline in performance - look at Milly compared to 2 years ago), or will have to let them go either on frees or cheaply. And then have to replace them. Which will not be cheap.

This is our potentially our last chance to earn a fee that can be reinvested in the next Salah or Mane.

It's easy for me to say I want them kept as imo the 3-4 extra years of their quality will be worth more than the transfer fee we'll get, cos these guys are exceptional. But I don't know precisely what financial demands the club has to juggle.

Ronnie commanding big fees in his mid 30s is an outlier.

2.) 11 May 2022 19:49:39
Benzema, Muller, De Bruyne, Modric. big clubs don't force great servants out the door the minute they exit their twenties.

3.) 11 May 2022 20:55:31
Ronnie didn’t have just the one year left on his contract and the financial situation was a lot different when he joined Juve. We won’t get huge fees for Salah and Mane. £40m tops for Mane and £60m if we’re lucky for Salah. But that said it can be reinvested in two forwards like Nunez and Bowen then it’s fine.

10 May 2022 22:08:15
Salah is so off the boil it’s scary!
I pray fabs is ok and just a tight muscle!
Mane and Diaz been amazing!
Hope we nvr see Keita again after this season!
Very hard fought win think the ref was easy for us!
Nerves are shot.
