Chelsea agree 5 year deal with Havertz but are refusing to pay the asking price of Leverkusen. Maybe its within the letter of the law but hardly the spirit of the law. Seems like a very similar situation to liverpool and yet as usual liverpool are slammed on here. Great information on this site but please try to deliver without the agenda.

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea have permission to speak directly to Havertz, as they did with Werner.Liverpool simply acted illegally. Try not to comment on things you don't understand and embarrass yourself.}

I couldn't really care what way we go about things, as I refuse to believe the likes of Bayern, Real and Bayern act like choir boys while going about their transfer business. maybe I should care but if I'm honest I dont, I've bigger things to worry about and after years of no trophies I'm just happy that the team I support is successful again.

{Ed002's Note - I am afraid many don't agree with cheating.}

2.) 19 Aug 2020 13:25:45
Frank Lampard had permission to speak to Werner since January, Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps late December.}

Barcelona and Madrid have long and public histories of attempting to unsettle players of other clubs.
I’m with you completely, Jadon Havertz.
Most people frankly couldn’t care less how Liverpool behave, they just claim they do to get street cred from certain others.
Whilst Liverpool’s agent payments are clearly unacceptable, there is absolutely no way other top clubs are afraid to push and cross boundaries in order to procure players.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs have done it in the past but what makes it acceptable for Liverpool to continue to do it now? You would find it acceptable if Barcelona didn't approach Liverpool about van Dijk and go straight to the player?}

4.) 19 Aug 2020 13:53:49
I don’t know why people are challenging you ok this Ed002 tbh, your spot on with all you say and it’s embarrassing the way we go about our business in talking to the player first and then try to low ball. Sounds like a similar thing again with Thiago and now surprise surprise we are not willing to stump up what Bayern are demanding.

{Ed002's Note - I think it has been done to death for now.}

So when Barcelona wanted coutinio and we really didn't want to sell, they czme along and said "can we talk to Phil", and we said sure!

Most of the time when a big club comes swooping, the small clubs don't want to sell, so why in nearly every case, bar Liverpool signings, do the small club give the big club permission to chat them up. Why not just say no?

Yeah, thinking about it, I bet it goes on all the time. Perhaps klopp is just more open about it?

{Ed002's Note - No, as I explained at the time, Coutinho approached Barcelona, they didn't approach him. You should be able to find what I explained abou Rosario that in the archives easily. Perhaps try and stick to things you understand.}

I'm not challenging whether we do it or not Daretodream. I'm just not silly enough to believe were the only Devil in a football world full of Angel's.

7.) 19 Aug 2020 14:41:17
Approaching Barcelona worked out really well for Couts didn’t it - that should be a warning to other players that the grass isn’t always greener elsewhere. Right now, any move from Liverpool is downwards.

8.) 19 Aug 2020 15:21:42
Im pretty sure some Brazilian players at Barcelona suggested Coutinho push for a move there (probably in a casual chat during drinks after an international) . Is that tapping up or some friends expressing they would like to play in the same team in Spain?
Im sure THAT kind of conversation happens all the time when international games bring players and compatriots together.

{Ed002's Note - You cannot stop players talking to each other and unless they are acting on behalf of a club it is not an issue.}

9.) 19 Aug 2020 15:43:12
I wasn't having a go ed02, or doubting what you say. I'm just trying to understand the reasons why this is such a bad thing for a manager to do (or embarrassing as you put it)
Especially seeing as how a manager doesn't even have to get permission to talk to the player's agent.

If i always stuck to things I understood I'd still be at the teet. Again, I'm not having a go.

10.) 19 Aug 2020 18:45:17
Ed02 Pls tell me, how do you do it as in, make it thru the day with all the excuse-making to deflect from the improper conduct Klopp has been caught engaging in once again?

{Ed002's Note - They'll find something else to whine about soon. Perhaps the last two weeks of January will attract their attention next?}

Chelsea fan thinks its 'terribly tedious' when liverpool fan queried dodgy decision. and there was me thinking it was a banter page 🙄 wait til the blue thugs go after havertz, won't be so tedious then I'm guessing.

K-lo

{Ed002's Note - What is tedious is that the Liverpool fans are simply stating the same thing over and over again. Even pond life like you should realise that.}
