I do not think I see much in the latest Pulisic chatter. As a follower of the USMNT he is usually attacking where we have Diaz/ Gakpo already. Unless he could be a Nunuz/ Jota replacement. Good player but doubtful imho.

Pulisic is to inconsistent, lightweight and goes missing as well as being injury prone. When he burst onto the scene he looked decent but virtually every manager he's played under eventually saw the light and benched him or sold him.

Dear Ed001 and any others wishing to chime in. We have something special right now going on. Would you keep the current squad and not risk any change in squad chemistry or try and add one or two players in January to fully back Slot? If the later, what is your realistic wish list for one or two signings? I'm just praying the contracts do not turn into a mega distraction at some point like Klopp leaving did.

100% agree with Ed add in another midfielder who can play as a ball playing DM or CM in the double Pivot this then gives Grave a rest in cup games and dead rubbers, if the right player is out there for a LB/ LCB push for that aswell if not don't buy someone for the sake of it.

I would honestly consider another centre back as well, because we only have Konate, Van Dijk, Gomez and Quansah. Konate always picks up an injury at the worse time, and that leaves us with 3. In order to compete on all fronts we need to be able to rotate more, and 3 players doesn't leave us much room for that, risking further injuries. I would say dip into the loan market, if none of our targets are available, but we have not had much success there.

Agree Ed about Baleba. Being down on the southeast coast, my boss is a Brighton season ticket holder and says Baleba seems on a different level to the rest of their midfield and doesn't think it'll be long before someone comes in and snaps him up
It's a shame that Brighton can't keep hold of some of their players, to think they had McCallister, Caicedo and Bissouma. They really do find some great young talent!

Don't forget that Buonanotte that's on laon at Leicester is a Brighton player. He looks pretty special.
They have another that is on loan at Burnley at the moment who looks a cracking player. Jeremy Sarmiento.
It appears that they have a decent youth scout in South America.

{Ed001's Note - on first viewing I liked him a lot, he was quick, strong, purposeful with his runs and was very good on the ball, nice touch. But I have to say his defending needs a heck of a lot of work. If he is playing the role of shifting between left centre-back and left-back, he is not the one. If he is an attacking wing-back, then yes, he has a lot of the qualities we would look for and possible potential to fill that role.}

Judging on slots tenure so far I think our full backs are playing more as 'normal' full backs than we where previously or that we had anticipated before slots arrival.
Trent doesn't invert all that much and our lb plays as what I would call a traditional lb does, keeps the width and goes forward when opportunity there and if opportunity not there doesn't go.
Like kerkez myself, I'd go for him as I think we need a young lb in there. of our own young players that play lb, on the v limited bits I seen of them I don't quite think they the standard needed.

If anything he may be more of square peg in a round hole in Slot's system. He is captain of Japan so offers leadership skills and a good bloak to have around and hard worker. With Berch's legs getting a little wobbly I think we will see more of him soon.
