understand that key staff at Liverpool are very impressed with Antonee Robinson of Fulham, me too, really strong and high performing left back, with our own Robbo, they would have that position sorted .
1.) 08 Feb 2024 09:08:25
Depends on the money we have, with Robbo, Gomez and Beck its a position we don't need to prioritize if we need funds for more important positions, i do like Robinson to though.
2.) 08 Feb 2024 10:18:00
And tsimikas. Robinson is 27 and will be 28 this year as well. Makes zero sense no matter who might like the guy.
3.) 08 Feb 2024 10:21:09
Given the role of fullback is instrumental in how a team sets up and we don't know who will be the next manager/ coach, Id be surprised if we think Robinson is the answer. He's a great athlete, but limited going forward. That may not suit whoever comes in next.
4.) 08 Feb 2024 12:07:06
Surely up to the next manager maybe?
5.) 08 Feb 2024 13:06:27
And Tsimikas.
6.) 09 Feb 2024 05:23:07
Aren’t all the “key staff at Liverpool” having it away on their toes at the end of the season.
7.) 09 Feb 2024 23:28:51
Robinson from Fulham is 26 yrs old and for me, the best natural Left Back in the premier league, liverpool also very interested in his team mate Tosin, centre back who will be up for a free transfer in the summer.
8.) 09 Feb 2024 23:32:47
Lots of stuff happening with key staff leaving at the end of the season, also key staff coming in in to replace them, they won't leave all that till the last minute, phone calls happening right now.
9.) 10 Feb 2024 08:32:23
@Kop that - are you saying that the key staff who are coming in to replace the key staff that are leaving have already been hired and are communicating via phone ‘right now’. Any chance you can share your source?
10.) 10 Feb 2024 22:27:18
WDW3, yes I do know someone who brother works for liverpool , that's all I can say , and yes key staff and coaching staff have been approached, Alonso is the key .
11.) 11 Feb 2024 05:57:18
Same for me - my niece’s husband’s cousin works for the club. Trouble is by the time I get to hear any “news” fourth hand it tends to be a bit of the “there’s big things going to happen, but I can’t say what exactly”. I suspect that I’m not the only one in this position.
12.) 11 Feb 2024 14:52:01
Would it really be all that surprising if the top candiate to replace Jurven has been sounded out to see if he's interested? i would actually be surprised if it HASN'T happened. Personally i expect Xabi to take over after the Europa League final.
13.) 11 Feb 2024 18:30:20
That's right jude, and wouldn't ALonso want to have a say in choosing his new coaching staff .
14.) 11 Feb 2024 19:31:29
If you want him you give him whatever he wants.
15.) 11 Feb 2024 20:05:33
Plus a significant transfer fund.
16.) 12 Feb 2024 14:52:06
Heard that LFC are trying to recruit a key staff member from West Ham, interesting is that there is a connection with Alonso, would be a brilliant choice.
{Ed001's Note - Steidten you mean.}
17.) 12 Feb 2024 19:45:17
Thats exactly who I mean Ed thanks, I was just leaving it so people could join the dots. I think that Jim Steidten would be a great choice, he has an excellent track record.

16 Dec 2024 14:27:40
I see Pep Linders just got the sack, he has been poor with bad results .
1.) 16 Dec 2024 14:52:36
Can't believe people were calling for him to take the lead at liverpool.
2.) 16 Dec 2024 15:09:22
Crazily Linders was the in form ‘Pep’ manager at the time of his sacking.
3.) 16 Dec 2024 17:11:35
If I speak.
4.) 16 Dec 2024 17:21:42
Get him in. We need someone to blame again for these Newcastle/ fulham draws
Bring back Intensity and inverted nipples ?.
5.) 16 Dec 2024 17:52:00
He went into Salzburg and upset the apple cart by dropping senior pros for his singings and there was a mini revolt.
He needs to learn to be humble before he strides in and starts writing books.
Id have Matos back in a heartbeat.
6.) 16 Dec 2024 20:31:49
YNWA eh? There are people who can do the job better and some can do it a lot better but I don’t get the need for the abuse.
7.) 16 Dec 2024 21:17:43
Obviously speaking as a non-manager myself lol but I don’t think Pep has the manager gene. To me has all the characteristics and personality of a coach.
8.) 16 Dec 2024 21:25:55
I agree, WDW.
I don't get why people want him to fail. He was assistant manager when we won the League after a thirty years wait and when we won the CL again.
9.) 16 Dec 2024 22:32:23
Maybe he should have read his own book.
10.) 17 Dec 2024 00:10:00
I don’t want him to fail but I could have been assistant manager when we won the league the team was that good. Maybe he a good coach but he didn’t give me any type of managerial vibe more like he was leaching off klopps ability / success . Good luck to him in his next job.
11.) 17 Dec 2024 00:59:21
I don't think people want him to fail, Rigsby. But I think his demeanour just annoyed a lot of people, with him taking a lot of the credit when we won the PL and CL, and each time we were on a decent run. He claimed credit for the intensity of our play (which went out the window) and also for Trent inverting. In other words, he talks too much about how great he is, which I guess rubs people the wrong way.
12.) 17 Dec 2024 07:46:52
How does Lijnders take a lot of the credit for us winning in the PL and CL, Dracred?
I don't think he claimed the credit for our Intensity. He often uses 'we' and talks about the club if you're talking about the book that he was approached to coauthor.
Our intensity went out of the window when the midfield's legs went and he was assistant when we rebuilt the midfield and we now are where we are.
I've not heard Lijnders talking about he great he is and I'm interested in what he said or what people think he said.
Regarding TAA inverting, isn't Slot also asking him to do that?
13.) 17 Dec 2024 08:26:51
Maybe he'll right a book about his experience with RB?
14.) 18 Dec 2024 03:55:20
Rigsby, have you read his book?
13 May 2024 17:06:05
game at Villa tonight will be a tough one . Villa need to win to get the 4th spot, so they will be going all out . I will be happy with a draw and a good win next Sunday .
we need to keep an eye on Ollie Watkins, 2nd best striker in the Prem for me .
yes I would really like the win, but Villa might want the win a bit more .
1.) 13 May 2024 18:03:07
It’s a dead rubber for us. So just look to give the kids a run out.
2.) 13 May 2024 22:18:29
The only surprise is that it wasn't a higher scoring draw.
We're always going to concede goals with those players and the way we play but fans will moan about it and still want to us play even more recklessly.
Are you not entertained? ?.
3.) 13 May 2024 22:23:02
We need to learn how to defend and buy a world class DM. if Arsenal can defend why can’t we.
4.) 13 May 2024 22:37:46
Before buying a “world class dm”, how about we get the simple stuff right?
Time and again we see the same defensive errors.
We give teams half chances over and over again. Good teams will punish you.
This isn’t solved by buying one player IMO. This is about how the team is defending as a unit and, for their second goal, how we are trying to play. Why is Virgil passing that ball into Macca?!
Whatever happens we’re finishing 3rd so today didn’t mean a lot but the defending today showed why we’re out of the title race whilst the other two are taking it to the final day.
5.) 13 May 2024 23:09:49
Players that can and want to defend don't make the same defensive errors that our players do. When you rebuild your midfield and only buy one defensive minded player and he's a £17m workhorse, you are asking for trouble.
6.) 14 May 2024 10:00:23
Rigsby the worst thing here is that these individual/ collective mistakes are the same in nature and KEEP happening which tells me that either the coaching staff is oblivious to them? Or they see it and just ignore these same issues that have plagued us all season. Either way, this is bad.
7.) 14 May 2024 10:18:52
Are individual mistakes down to the coaching staff or the players?
{Ed025's Note - a coach will not tell you to give the ball away on the edge of your own box JK, its individual errors mate caused by lack of concentration..
8.) 14 May 2024 12:04:17
Oli, the coaches are not oblivious to them. The coaches have filled the team with attacking players that want to get us on the front foot. To play attacking, high intensity and exciting football like TAA, Mac, Szob, Elliott and Grav. and there's not much steel in any of them.
I thought you all wanted heavy metal football.
Me, I preferred it when we had three grafters form the likes of Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner etc to keep things tight and relied on our two full backs and front three to get us goals. I realise that the current front three is nowhere near as strong as the previous one but the team we have and the way we play leaves us very easy to get at.
9.) 14 May 2024 14:21:58
Rigsby if they are not oblivious to it then, why that football do they keep happening? You can't tell me the coaches are free from all responsibility here cos that is not the way any of these things works. Oh, it is NOT a front 3 issue yesterday. It is a case of deja-vu with the same mistakes happening including making 4 changes in one go which we all know does not work. Or is that the players' fault too?
Clearly, the players cannot do what they are being asked to do so it is either the players doing this are benched or the tactics needs to change cos this has been happening near all season. Ali has the ball and even tho there is no one to pass to, he still tries to pass it thru a sea of Villa players and they intercept it by Bailey and Watkins almost scores.
As for me yes, I wanted front foot footie cos that is when we are at our best and the players we have fit the bill and and we have been very successful at it. Playing this slow, possession stuff trying to pass the ball out under pressure clearly does not work so why has the manager continued to persist with it? Pretty sure the players don't pick the tactics.
10.) 14 May 2024 14:27:29
"a coach will not tell you to give the ball away on the edge of your own box".
No, he won (t do that BUT if you keep doing that then it is either you can't hack it playing out the back in possession or change the tactics to protect the team. What you cannot do as a manager, is neither. That is hogwash and Im not going to blame the players cos they don't coach themselves no pick the tactics.
These mistakes keep happening and it is several of the same players who do it. You have Alisoon despite not having a soul to pass to, still tries to pass the ball out and we are shocked he passed it to a Villa player who nearly scored. Macca has made the same mistake a few times this season that led to goals YET he keeps being told to the same thing with him in the 6. Sorry, that is a coaching issue. It's up to the coach to fix that, not the player cos clearly, the coach is setting him/ them up to fail asking him to do the things he clear can NOT do.
11.) 14 May 2024 15:36:35
6 weeks ago the manager and coach’s had set us up for a quadruple. Now they have set us up for failure.
So which one is it?
Safe to say the management, coaches and players are all to blame for our failures as well as they get praised for the successes.
12.) 14 May 2024 16:35:27
It's down to the management for filling a team with players that want the ball and want time on the ball but are not prepared to work hard enough without it or to win it back. Klopp and the management team are responsible for that.
It's not my type of football but it could be theirs and it has got us CL football and a trophy.
I want to see Liverpool win and go at teams but not if it means we become a soft touch.
Klopp as manager is ultimately responsible for the imbalance in the team and also for getting us to third in the table. It works both ways.
In hindsight, three midfielders leaving last summer should have been handled a lot better.
11 Feb 2024 16:25:33
Sly Sports had to change a controversial headline on the liverpool win, trying to dim the lights on a good hard fought victory, now we know they are part of the, against liverpool crowd. YNWA.
1.) 11 Feb 2024 17:06:31
I thrive on the fact everyone hates Liverpool ?.
{Ed014's Note - sounding more and more like United fans every week!
2.) 11 Feb 2024 18:11:17
I dunno the ref in the Villa - United game certainly doesn't hate United, some very questionable decisions and they're still drawing as things stand. The manager is a con man and long may he reign.
3.) 11 Feb 2024 18:33:38
Karma will win out.
4.) 11 Feb 2024 19:44:29
Ed14, more like Arsenal fans really cos many of your own fans have been saying the exact same thing LFC08 has said all thru the season. Witnessed this with my own eyes.
Now, my main point is that near every fan base of any of the Utd, Chelsea, LFC and Arsenal think their club is the most hated. None of these clubs are immuned to such beliefs, IMO.
{Ed014's Note - I don’t do social media, I just do these pages and I never see any gunner post everyone hates us.
I see people hating on us but I couldn’t give a toss about bitter opposing fans to be honest.
On here it’s now you and United who say everyone hates us!
It’s not a good look.
5.) 11 Feb 2024 21:02:02
Agree with you there, Ed014.
{Ed014's Note - I thought most liked Liverpool and Klopp too, well except United obvs.
6.) 12 Feb 2024 04:41:46
Sky sports spent a week giving eulogies to Klipp. If that's hating us, I'd like more of it.
7.) 12 Feb 2024 00:15:14
Agree Ed14, the siege mentality isn’t rooted in reality. Some fans don’t like other teams. (Some of) The fans of these teams can read way too much into. As you say the exception is United ?.
{Ed014's Note - spot on mate! United are in a league of their own with their global stupidity ?♂️?
8.) 12 Feb 2024 08:34:44
This time last season you had certain posters on here who openly hated certain Liverpool players and coaches.
I don't get that mentality at all, but each to their own.
9.) 12 Feb 2024 14:04:49
I think it’s safe to say that most opposition fans don’t like us. Klopp’s a hypocrite, always the victims, we’ve all heard some of the disgusting things they say about us on a regular basis.
Personally I couldn’t give a toss. They don’t have any opinion about you when you’re not successful so people hating us means we are winning things. Long may it continue.
10.) 12 Feb 2024 09:16:41
Calm down lads. I'm sure ED14 just meant we are a bunch of Muppets. Idiots with half brains. Inbred simpletons.
I'm sure he just mispoke when he called us "like Man United fans".
Isn't that right Ed?
You meant to former right? Please Ed! Please tell us you meant the former and we re not like Man United fans.
{Ed014's Note - ? of course you’re not mate, that would be the ultimate insult being like those clowns! ?
11.) 12 Feb 2024 11:33:22
ED014, All I'm saying is that a part of every fan base of every club I mentioned does that and that includes Arsenal. It is what it is and that was my only point.
And for the record and just like you personally, I don't care who hates on LFC, really and never have. The club I support for near 4 decades is the most successful in Britain. My club is what all these other clubs are trying to be so hating on my club is a badge of honour. You know why? Cos "If you ain't got no haters then, you're not relevant". That's just what it is.
{Ed014's Note - agree Oli ?
12.) 12 Feb 2024 12:41:49
You'd a great result yesterday Ed14, proper hammered them (pun intended lol) - personally, I think it's great - 3 teams going full throttle for the title - 14 games to go!
I got to say though, I've always had a soft spot for Arsenal going back as far as the Bruce Rioch days lol - loved Bergkamp, such a quality player and Henry was amazing too - well, I say always, but it took me a few years to get over the Michael Thomas incident lol, I was young then but man that hurt!
I like the Arsenal pages too, no real animosity towards other teams just a debate on what went well, what could have went better etc and are welcoming to poster from other pages.
Like you I couldn't care what others say about the team, if anything the constant criticisms and double standards teams get at times can be real good motivators.
I'm honestly not convinced by Arteta, but has you playing well and has created a good team to his credit, just something about him I'm just not sure about but hey, take nothing away from the team or their fans ?.
{Ed014's Note - thanks Bill and I think Arteta needs to win something to prove himself to be in the big league and not just the FA Cup.
I think we all really like him because he’s got rid of the weak lazy spineless attitude that was stinking the place out and he, Edu and Josh Kroenke, to the latters credit off loaded some toxic deadwood.
He’s definitely growing on me.
13.) 13 Feb 2024 13:30:59
That's a fair point Ed14, he's definitely gotten rid of that lazy. spineless attitude that was there and your players look like they will all genuinely give their all for the shirt.
Glad he gave Saliba a chance, looks a cracker though I thought Baloguan (spelling lol) might get a chance too, he was tearing it up on loan.
You've a few good players and a decent spine tbh - could possibly improve upon Raya, though I thought Ramsdale was a 'picture in the paper' type when he made saves, always over elaborate and unnecessary. Defence is fairly solid and Rice is a great addition to the midfield, it's looking pretty decent tbh - up front you have decent options out wide, particularly Saka, but think you lack a proper striker - Jesus just isn't that and a Haaland or Harry Kane type and you would be a lot better.
Looking much better than you were though and like I said, I always had a soft spot for Arsenal - hope you finish above City this season, 2nd to us obviously lol - good luck for the rest of the season!
{Ed014's Note - The wife is a Liverpool supporter and so is my stepson who has god knows how many Liverpool shirts, including a signed one from the 2000/2001 season when you won 3 trophies! ?♂️
I really like all our players Bill and there’s very few I’d swap for others and really only Raya and Jesus, who I really like and would keep even if we got a top striker as he’s a menace right along the front three.
I love Partey and he’s immense when fit but that’s his issue and we do need to replace him sooner rather than later.
Good luck to you to mate, second to us won’t be a bad thing ???
27 Sep 2020 18:50:47
anyone heard anymore about how many first teamers who will be missing the Arsenal game tomorrow evening . just heard that Allison and Thaigo have missed training and are both doubts for the game .
1.) 27 Sep 2020 19:13:04
OP, Ali and Thiago are the only ones I have heard so far. Hopefully, they are the only ones.
2.) 27 Sep 2020 19:16:07
just to add to that Allison while being one of the best goalkeepers in the world, has missed too many games already, so do we need another Top goalie as back up .
3.) 27 Sep 2020 19:29:12
Hendo.
4.) 27 Sep 2020 19:35:04
Agreed mate. We might need to address this problem. Ali loves an injury. I think a decent back up would come too, because he’d probably play 15+ games a season if you count cups and all the time our number 1 is out.
5.) 27 Sep 2020 20:13:26
Adrian is the back up goalie.
6.) 27 Sep 2020 20:26:40
Adrian is a very good keeper, but, not sure he is what we need if he has to play in a semi final or big game .
7.) 27 Sep 2020 21:13:38
"Ali loves an injury. "
This will be his 3rd injury in 3 years, if he misses the game tomorrow. Wouldn't call that loving an injury.
8.) 27 Sep 2020 22:14:52
Kop that as SR said, Big Al has had his 3rd injury in 3 years and suddenly he "loves an injury"? Not even going to address that nonsense. Also, NO top GK is going to come here and be a back up to the guy who you yourself said, is the or one of the best GK's in the world. IMO, we will not be signing another GK to replace or be Ali's back up so need to move on with that "injury prone" stuff.
9.) 27 Sep 2020 22:37:55
"Ali loves an injury. †- I swear people just like to make stuff up sometimes and think nobody will notice.
10.) 27 Sep 2020 23:01:50
To be fair 3 injuries in 3 years is quite a lot for a goalkeeper.
11.) 27 Sep 2020 23:11:00
Hang on, so splash another 75m or so so we can have a 'top' back up keeper to play 15 games a season? wow.
12.) 28 Sep 2020 08:42:15
Adrian is a more than capable backup. Got us started on our run to the title.
13.) 28 Sep 2020 11:45:09
Alison will play tomorrpw.
02 Dec 2019 18:46:35
I think the draw for the 3rd round of the FA Cup is on this evening, I would really like us to win this again, but the football gods keep giving us premiership teams while lucky City an United always get the easiest teams, happens every year, like I mentioned, I hope we win the FA Cup, it will happen .
1.) 02 Dec 2019 19:26:49
Don’t worry we got the easier draw this time haha. Can see us putting out a weakened team to prioritise league after our busy December schedule.
2.) 02 Dec 2019 19:28:14
Exeter
Plymouth
Everton
Wolves
Everton again
We seem to perform better in big games.
3.) 02 Dec 2019 19:41:55
sure don't mind me at all, I post this same post every year when the League and FA Cup draws come out,
I warn all my friends and they say yeah yeah yeah,
I would have prefered Port Vale but the golden team got them .
happens every year and I have a moan,
no wonder Klopp taps out .
{Ed025's Note - yeah yeah yeah..
4.) 02 Dec 2019 19:47:11
I was expecting Leicester Agger, but the football gods were looking after them too, we might have knocked them out,
who will play City i the Final .
5.) 02 Dec 2019 21:20:53
Whoo hoo we got a easy draw for once, sorry 0025, couldn't resist.
{Ed025's Note - i think your spot on IDLLK..
6.) 03 Dec 2019 02:56:23
I'm not worried about Leicester. They are playing really well, much better than us but we are still getting more points. Wait till we turn it on. The season will be timed, the schedule planned a while back. To make sure we don't lose steam.
I seriously believe and I think the boys know too, that we have another gear to go to. When we really need a goal you see the intensity. At the start of games you see it. We score and then the intensity is transfered to a more rigid approach.
I believe klopp will let them off the leash come January. And we will romp home. Wish we weren't playing the world club thing. What's the point? Never mind, might put out a second team, I would. Guaranteed injuries I reckon.
20 Nov 2024 21:26:29
Not sure on Youtube for Liverpool news,
20 Nov 2024 20:50:50
that Elliot stuff was on Youtube, nothing in it for me, can't see Harvey being disrepectful at all .
20 Nov 2024 20:45:58
Big Virg is 100 per cent staying .
29 Sep 2024 18:41:08
I agree Ed, we need cover and someone to play along side Grav.
26 Jul 2024 16:55:17
That little Fekir.
16 Dec 2024 14:44:42
what about their player who scored the 1st goal, really bad tackle before that, he should have def been sent off .
16 Nov 2024 21:42:59
speechless, the man was a Legend,
RIP.
15 Nov 2024 14:33:01
more terrible news about ex premier ref David Coote, its been reported that, as a 4 th official at a man city game, he was trying to plan a drugs party at a Travelodge hotel, sent a text message just be4 the game, at half time, and after the game,
his head must have been all over the place to be doing that while on duty .
he needs rehab, time out, then a move to the Saudi pro league,
if they will have him,
gone way too far now .
12 Nov 2024 15:16:58
Coote robbed us of points, penalties, games, red cards, the list goes on,
Coote has to get the Boot .
12 Nov 2024 15:10:45
Poor gamble, there were better players available, can't see him doing much, maybe if he does get some playing time, we could get our money back, he might want to go back to Italy at that time .
