Keira just left training early with physio, looks like a muscle injury.

LFC6

1.) 13 Aug 2019 20:15:18
Maybe away for a Knight (ley) to remember.

2.) 13 Aug 2019 20:30:36
Serious kloppdog. It's clearly auto correct for Alex oxlade Chamberlain.

3.) 13 Aug 2019 20:36:28
Keita can't seem to catch any luck with injuries. Playing for in AFCON when he clearly wasn't fit was a poor decision on the players behalf IMO, and perhaps that contributed towards this injury.

4.) 14 Aug 2019 07:01:36
BIG SHAQ looks like he's gearing to start tonight. Hope he hits in some screamers!

5.) 14 Aug 2019 08:26:28
Think we bought a lame horse in Keita the bloke is always injured .

Ed has there been any enquiries about Kent or Wilson recently, do you expect them to go out on loan again?

LFC6

{Ed002's Note - The club has had them up for sale and then decided to look at them in pre-season. I suspect a decision is imminent.}

1.) 24 Jul 2019 21:42:36
Brewster and Curtis Jones have completely outshone them in my opinion and they are younger players too.

2.) 24 Jul 2019 21:50:30
Thanks ed002.

3.) 24 Jul 2019 21:53:05
Jones doesn’t look ready for me, needs to bulk out.

4.) 24 Jul 2019 23:20:50
I never know what to make of youngsters in preseason. Jones looks good enough for some game time but not surprised if rarely see him again.
I remember watching a fantastic Grujic a couple of preseasons ago. Enough that ever since I still hope.

{Ed002's Note - Keep in mind the games aren’t everything the coaches see. And oft forgotten is how the youngsters fit in with squad, if they have confidence, if the confidence needs reigning in, how they deal with making mistakes.}

5.) 25 Jul 2019 10:39:42
Interesting perspective Ed, it is amazing how many variables and pure chance impacts a players future.

It could be as small as one remark a player makes to Klopp or one tackle in training.

6.) 25 Jul 2019 10:59:11
I would keep one of them if we are signing no one so we avoid playing Origi out of position in the cups.

7.) 25 Jul 2019 11:05:53
With Lallana and Milner leaving next summer I think that will be the moment Jones will get the chance to step up. There are to many players fighting for those midfield roles to see him getting a chance this season.

8.) 25 Jul 2019 19:00:09
Hopefully add Grujic into our squad next year too 23carragold.
Yes I’m still optimistic. One looping headed goal has kept me going for years.

9.) 25 Jul 2019 21:22:23
Milner isn't allowed to leave. He has to stay forever.

10.) 26 Jul 2019 23:15:08
A loan move for Curtis Jones may be good for him, but another year with the u23s no harm either. As long as he plays football every week and hopefully develop his talent.

If we can’t afford him then fair enough but it does make you wonder how we will get on during afcon, no Mane, no Salah and to a lesser extent Keita.

LFC6

{Ed002's Note - This season hasn’t even finished.}

1.) 04 Jun 2020 20:36:12
Hi Ed, I know but surely we wouldn’t blow a 25 point lead, more worried about next year, Chelsea, Man Utd look like they are going to be a lot stronger and there’s always man city.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City has lots of ideas.}

2.) 04 Jun 2020 21:15:30
LFC6 we’re capable of anything particularly making a balls up of things. I really would not put it past us that we go on a losing streak and City batter all of their opponents.

3.) 04 Jun 2020 21:34:18
Now now 6 times let's stay positive here, we have had our best season ever and possibly the best of any team before us. No need to be a negative Walter.

09 Aug 2019 22:34:53
I think Allison has ruptured his Achilles Tendon, says he thought something had hit him on the back of his leg, exactly what I felt when I done my Achilles.

LFC6

1.) 09 Aug 2019 22:45:02
Klopp is saying calf. I bet you didn’t walk off when you did your Achilles mate like Allison did.

2.) 09 Aug 2019 22:46:51
I agree if it was his Achilles he’d be in way more pain and be off on a stretcher usually.

3.) 09 Aug 2019 22:55:01
It looked worse than a strain. Hope to but it did not look good and it did not sound to good when Klopp spoke after the game. Looked more like a tear don’t think we will hear anything for a few days till the swelling goes down before a scan.

4.) 09 Aug 2019 22:56:53
If that was a ruptured Achilles he’d have shot ten feet up in the air in agony.

5.) 09 Aug 2019 23:05:23
Thinking back to when Beckham ruptured his Achilles during the game at the Olympics was it? He was really struggling, didn't seem similar to Alisson today. Let's keep our fingers crossed though.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m keeping everything crossed mate.

6.) 09 Aug 2019 23:14:25
Liverpool top of the league, Liverpool Liverpool top of the league.

7.) 09 Aug 2019 23:32:55
I tore my calf last year and when it happened thought someone had kicked me. I would be surprised if it’s an achilles given he could walk off. If a calf injury probably looking at anywhere from 2-8 weeks depending on severity. If an achilles rupture, then surgery and about 6 months. Here’s hoping for the first option 🤞.

{Ed0333's Note - Lets just hope it’s all an early April fools joke and he’s in goal again for the next game

8.) 10 Aug 2019 02:04:32
If it's a grade 1 tear he'll be out for 7-10 days. Grade 2 tear of the calf muscle, 4-6 weeks out and will probably be back for the Chelsea game on September 21st. A grade 3 tear (Very very unlikely) could keep him out for up to 6 months.

9.) 10 Aug 2019 11:19:06
OP if AB ruptured his Archilles, he would not be able to walk off the pitch on his own power. He wouldn't have been able to even stand.

Fair enough Virgil, just a bit worried about the first month of the season, our front three won’t be up to speed until September, could be six points behind city by then.

LFC6

1.) 28 Jul 2019 15:40:31
Firmino and Salah are back on Monday, I have no issue with any combination of Firmino, Salah, Wilson or Origi until Manè comes back and Shaqiri is back, I’d say those six are pretty decent interchangeable options. Given that they’re lol international footballers and all offer something different.

2.) 28 Jul 2019 15:41:45
The league won't be won by September.

3.) 28 Jul 2019 17:45:20
Could be lost tho, no creativity in this match by a Liverpool player at all, look out of ideas.

4.) 28 Jul 2019 23:23:00
City are missing even more first team players than us due to international involvement. Mendy still injured and kompany not yet replaced. Aguero Jesus fernandinho ederson otamendi mahrez also with no pre season. 3 of those are in their 30s too. Nothing to suggest city have any advantage over us to start the season stronger.

28 Jul 2019 13:20:43
Ed with klopp coming out saying we have invested a lot in the past in this team and now he has to work with it, is one of the reasons we are not spending down to FFP and the amount invested last season.

LFC6

{Ed002's Note - No.}

1.) 28 Jul 2019 14:08:56
Reason for no spending LFC6 is because we don’t need mega investment. We finished 1 point off top in Prem and won the CL. We can’t spend every Window like we did last summer mate.

2.) 28 Jul 2019 13:58:34
Ed002, would it look positively on us with regards to FFP if we spent nothing this transfer window in respect of large transfer fees etc? (I know we don’t talk money, but it’s interesting to know)

{Ed002's Note - Obviously.}

3.) 28 Jul 2019 14:46:16
Ed002, I hope you don't mind me saying but I read all your replies in the voice of the late Alan Rickman's Professor Severus Snape. It makes my day.

4.) 28 Jul 2019 14:52:45
Plain bread do you know how funny RTFP sounds now you have said that 😂😂.

5.) 28 Jul 2019 15:08:18
You can never accuse Ed of mincing his words.

7.) 28 Jul 2019 20:49:24
OMG, klopp has literally said we can't buy big, so why keep this "we can buy if we want the squad is strong" pretence going. It's starting to go into the realms of "a bit pathetic".

8.) 29 Jul 2019 00:20:37
The other big teams haven't been convincing as yet in the market. Spurs have only signed ndombele, far from a guaranteed game changing signing. They could lose alderwield and rose along with trippier 3 of their back 4 over last couple seasons. Chelsea have lost their best player over last decade and have no world class striker. Pulisic not yet proven he's top top class. Utd have signed 2 young players who have only 1 season of experience. Arsenal have yet to strenghten their comical defence and have lost cech Ramsey and probably koscielny, their 3 most experienced PL players. City have signed a good player in rodri but fernandinho has been so important for them that rodri can't be guaranteed an upgrade. They've not replaced kompany and angelino is no better than delph as a LB option.

My point is city have lost their best defender and captain, spurs may lose their best defender and leader, arsenal will likely lose their best defender and captain, Chelsea have lost their best player, United will likely lose their top scorer of last 2 seasons. Sane, pogba, Erickson all important players may need replacing also. So far no team has upgraded their squad with huge conviction.

I expect them to sign more before window shuts but seeing them linked with players like Maguire, sessegnon, zaha, longstaff etc doesn't put big worry in my mind. We have a settled squad with no major outgoings and no clear weak point in strongest 11. I'm very comfortable with this current situation. Recently we've witnessed bakyoko, fred, jorginho, alexi Sanchez, Davison sanchez, aurier, morata. All big money marquee signings expected to improve first team. Many signings turn out as failures and not guaranteed improvement, especially when expected to replace top players.

The likes of kompany koscielny alderwield Ramsey Erickson hazard fernandinho David Silva sane lukaku have been consistent proven important performers over the years in the premier league and if not this year then definitely next year it's highly likely all will have left. Rodri, ndombele, ceballos, pepe, pulisic, Tierney have no experience in England and can't be guaranteed to succeed or improve their team. Each side have yet to improve their weakest areas. Arsenal haven't improved defence, spurs have failed to upgrade full back spots, United still need a top quality CM and CB, city are weakest at LB, Chelsea have not been able to replace hazard or add a top striker. We are in the strongest situation by not having to address any areas, like city last summer.

Ed001 is cornet not too similar to origi?

LFC6

{Ed001's Note - in what way? Cornet is a wide player, Origi is a centre-forward. They can both play other roles but that is their main positions.}
