Just heard that Diogo Jota has appendicitis and is in hospital for an op.
Don't know if it's true . I hope not .
1.) 01 Mar 2021 16:20:16
Where did you hear that? Twitter I bet🤔.
2.) 01 Mar 2021 16:48:51
I think it would be in the news by now if he was in hospital having an op. And if he did have appendicitis I would have thought he would have had it done Saturday I might be wrong but don’t they do that op nearly straight away.
3.) 02 Mar 2021 00:35:10
Can only speak for myself but my appendix was removed the same night. Although I did leave the pain for some days before deciding to go to the GP. Quick examination and the GP was calling my local hospital. Made my way to the hospital and was operated on that night. If he had bad appendicitis, he would have been operated on over the weekend so very much doubt the news is correct. Plus it would have been in the media by now.
4.) 02 Mar 2021 11:30:21
Weirdly I can confirm this as true, my best friends, brothers, girlfriend was his nurse. He sent me a message on Friday about it.
5.) 02 Mar 2021 15:41:11
Love it BigVirg😂.
6.) 02 Mar 2021 20:13:52
Haha Barry, I’m genuinely being truthful about that. I know it sounded like I was messing with the mates, brothers girlfriend but that’s genuine!
7.) 02 Mar 2021 22:05:01
Bigvirg Klopp said he turned ill Saturday so seems a bit strange and it’s tues night now and still nothing out about it so I will wait for the club to tell us news like that not a mate’s sister boyfriends sister cousins Neighbour.
{Ed002's Note - Jota is not in hospital.}
8.) 02 Mar 2021 22:42:15
He was training today, so if he had an op, then that’s a hell of a recovery!
9.) 02 Mar 2021 22:56:54
Jota pictured training today.
10.) 03 Mar 2021 00:30:38
He trained today and there’s pictures in the Echo, he must have been with Bupa.
11.) 03 Mar 2021 10:08:21
All the pictures are team pictures apart from the jota ones, which are him alone. Hopefully that’s just because he had an illness and they don’t want it spreading through the squad.
28 May 2018 22:08:02
Rumours of Besiktas in for Origi.
Good luck to the lad.
1.) 28 May 2018 22:53:56
If they want origi take him but let him be part of a deal for talisca, I don't know if talisca belongs too besiktas or benfica but I like him an he would help us definitely.
2.) 29 May 2018 03:46:27
Why Talisca when we want to sign a much better player in Fekir? Talisca is decent but would be another of those Gini or Lallana level signings. We can do better now.
3.) 29 May 2018 08:14:32
From what I have seen he is a goalscorer has power can dribble an pass, I would of thought his physicality an ability would of been a big asset in the premiership, but obviously I would rather have fekir he is a better player jus I think signing him will b awkward with his profile also interest from other teams.
4.) 29 May 2018 19:27:45
Anderson Talisca is playing for Besiktas on loan from Benfica.
31 May 2017 20:37:47
Aubameyang to PSG agreed. according to Paul Joyce.
We can chalk him off our wish list.
{Ed025's Note - i dont believe he was ever on the list liver..
1.) 31 May 2017 20:59:44
Supermane, don't get too upset over this;)
2.) 31 May 2017 22:41:55
Hes probably rocking back and forth as we speak.
3.) 31 May 2017 23:03:42
Very original. Am i the new harry🤔🤔
Quite happy to get a name drop tbh. I mean noone actually cares or know who you two are 😉
I knew he was never signing. That wasnt my point. Simple, auba would of made us better than probably all the players we have been linked with or signed and we do need a 20 goal striker. my post of succesful liverpool (past teams) and current teams with a prolific number nine was quite detailed. go educate yourselves. Or better yet get to bed, gcse month isn't it 😚.
4.) 01 Jun 2017 12:45:40
Oops hit a nerve.

Just watching England U21's v CZE
Harvey Elliot just scored a very good goal.
I'd be sad to see the lad leave us .
1.) 12 Jun 2025 21:45:58
Sad to see him go but he is not getting a look in when wirtz arrives.
2.) 12 Jun 2025 21:52:02
Ill raise you 1 Wirtz, an all together different level of prospect.
3.) 12 Jun 2025 21:52:06
He’s not gone yet. Love him too.
4.) 13 Jun 2025 04:27:34
There’s 3 possibilities
1. Let’s get the babelcopter in action. It’ll ensure the signing goes through smoothly
2. If the signing doesn’t materialise, let’s go back to our original no. 1 target - Simao. He’s had long enough to think about the offer.
3. If he indeed is on the flight, like many are claiming, and he doesn’t land, the final possibility is that he’s caught in some time trap and 5 years later he will magically reappear still at 21yo (can’t recall what show but I vaguely recall a show like that some years back) .
{Ed077's Note - Elliot needs a move desperately now, somewhere where he can play week in week out. He's the same age as Wirtz maaaaannnnnnn
5.) 13 Jun 2025 07:01:24
I must have posted my last reply to the wrong thread! I was referring to the Wirtz plane landing!
Nonetheless, yes I do feel for Elliot. He definitely wants to play for us but perhaps hasn’t quite the quality at this stage of his career (not sure if his injury set him back significantly as he was flying then) . And if he doesn’t move to play as a first teamer, he won’t develop.
08 Jun 2025 16:43:52
Just watched the Germany v France 3rd place play off.
Wirtz played the full game but looked like he just wanted to get on a flight to Liverpool for his medical.
Having said that . they all looked like they couldn't wait for it to be over .
Thankfully no injuries for Wirtz . so let's get him signed .
1.) 08 Jun 2025 17:59:03
Agree. He didn't seem completely up for it today.
I imagine he has a lot on his mind.
Better than him scoring a hat trick in my book during this final negotiation.
2.) 08 Jun 2025 18:33:13
Davey Also, players like Wirtz who have played mad amounts of games this season are prolly suffereing from fatigue at this point. As I have said, this wretched excuse of a comp. called the Nations League is just made up of glorified friendlies at this point. Players should be enjoying their time off. Just my opinion.
{Ed025's Note - as much as i think Wirtz is a very good player Oli lets wait before we we announce him as the second coming mate, i have seen it before where players are hyped up to the 9s only to fall flat on their faces, we all thought Nabi, Sancho and dare i say Bellingham were world beaters before they came to the prem, turns out that they were not as good as we actually thought, just saying..
3.) 08 Jun 2025 18:48:48
It’s the ultimate nothing match (can’t wait to see who’s going to finish third ?) in the ultimate nothing tournament - just another burden on the number of matches some of the best players in the world are supposed to play every year.
4.) 08 Jun 2025 20:26:33
Wirtz is an absolute baller ed25. He’s going to be immense.
{Ed025's Note - i suspect you are right Marty, but sometimes football has a way of kicking you in the nuts at times mate, sometimes a player just doesn,t fit or his family dont settle so i think you have to be patient, and lets be honest your fans are not the most forgiving of supporters are they?.. :)
5.) 08 Jun 2025 21:49:49
25 - you're missing a crucial ingredient in your thinking - those players you named that were under-whelming? none of them came to the rolls royce club of the league. is it any surprise they spluttered at these other clubs? :)
{Ed025's Note - Naby did Faith and thats when the Rolls Royce got a puncture mate, i hope it works out i really do but its not set in stone that he will be this world beater you all expect thats all...he could be the next Darwin.. :)
6.) 08 Jun 2025 22:52:28
You haven’t been to Anfield for a while have you Ed? The fact that the fans still chant for Nunez tells you they are one of the most forgiving in the world.
Generally whilst you wear the red shirt you get the full backing of 99.9% of match going fans.
Forget what’s said on the internet, as we all know that’s where people go to vent.
{Ed025's Note - i have not been to Anfield for quite a few years Robbo and you are right most of the fans are forgiving mate...well unless you are a full back who wants to move to Madrid.. :)
7.) 08 Jun 2025 23:17:22
Bellingham didn't come to the Prem, did he?
Come on, Ed025, we've not given up on Nunez just yet. There is a player in there. He could be the next Joelinton or we'll try him on the left and he'll be the next Gervinho.
We need to focus on getting on number 9 further away from goal because we don't create the right sort of chances for him.
{Ed025's Note - i think hes the next Mr Bean Rigsby, its time to move him on i think mate..
04 Jun 2025 17:20:06
Germany v Portugal tonight is on Amazon Prime TV at 8pm
Wirtz will probably play
Be good to see him.
1.) 04 Jun 2025 17:29:43
Id he plays a bad game, I say we pull the plug on the deal.
2.) 04 Jun 2025 17:38:43
Ðubt he'll play b4 a medical at liverpool.
3.) 04 Jun 2025 17:39:52
Thanks for that, Liver_La.
4.) 04 Jun 2025 18:28:09
Before I line up to watch that- are Portugal less “Pepe”now, or have we got 90mins of sh|thou$€ry on the cards?
5.) 04 Jun 2025 19:19:51
AR I don't know how "Pepe" they are but it's embarrassing how the Portuguese national side is still being reduced to indulging Ronaldo's narcissism. He hasn't been able to hack it at the highest level for years. He stunk out both the last World Cup and Euros. He's like the football world's Madonna. Roberto Martinez is so weak.
11 May 2025 21:08:00
Just sat watching the Bradford fire documentary.
40 years ago today . Such a tragedy.
Let's all remember those poor fans who lost their lives that day.
1.) 11 May 2025 21:37:35
The first I learned of that was 11 years ago it popped up as a suggested video after watching some other clips about Hillsborough. Sad alright.
2.) 11 May 2025 21:38:05
Can’t believe it’s 40 years ago so sad YNWA.
3.) 11 May 2025 21:51:04
Absolutely horrific scenes at Bradford. remember watching on the TV . shocked to the core, never seen anything like it . heartbreaking.
4.) 11 May 2025 22:04:11
hopefully it never happens again, fire standards have improved considerably, so it's more safe for us all, sadly many of the fire improvements were probably down to the heart breaking tragedy.
5.) 11 May 2025 22:09:56
Remember watching it on TV, a dark day in British football. May they RIP.
In a few weeks time it will be 40 years since Heysel. Another dark day in British football's and Liverpool's history.
6.) 12 May 2025 00:44:01
11th may is my Birthday, on my 3rd bday my dad wanted to take me to my first football game to see Bradford. My dad and his mates were p. heads and a bit wild. So my mum wouldn’t let me go. He still went and was in stand that set on fire. He got out of ground safe and sound. Few years later he wanted to take me to my first Liverpool game as they were playing local ish in Sheffield. My mum again put her foot down because they were getting train so she knew dad and mates would get smashed. My dad still went and luckily got home ok apart from a few bruises. He’s 78 now and still carry’s both ticket stubs in his wallet. He told me a few years ago that he regularly has nightmares about them both.
11 May 2025 12:24:04
Just thinking about the standout displays of the season from a Liverpool player.
The two for me are . Allison v PSG in Paris
And Conor Bradley v Real Madrid at Anfield . ( and that tackle on Mbappe )
1.) 11 May 2025 12:40:26
Dom Vs city away has to be up there?
Curtis against Chelsea in October
I'm trying to think of Alexis and grav's best performances this year, gravenberch had some great games the earliest part of the season and macca has been our best player the last 5-6 weeks.
2.) 11 May 2025 12:40:36
Liver a lot of fans have short memories and forget Bradley's performance against real mardrid. Maybe they should rewatch it before Co signing another fb that's costing a small fortune. Frimpongs a good player but Bradley's ready to go now
Also i want most of our budget seeking a worldclass 9. Not money spread out on good players. Quality over quantity.
3.) 11 May 2025 12:47:24
Mo Salah vs West Ham was otherworldly.
Alisson vs PSG.
Bradley vs Real.
Gravy vs Man Utd.
Diaz vs Leverkusen.
Diaz vs Tottenham.
Curtis vs Chelsea.
Macca vs Newcastle.
Szobo vs City.
4.) 11 May 2025 12:52:43
Batman you do realise if Frimpong signs it’s the club and coach buying him and not the fans with short memories.
5.) 11 May 2025 12:52:46
Bradley is more than ready but we can't go into next season with only him as our out and out RB, especially considering that he has had injury concerns for the past two seasons. Unless we are comfortable with both Gomez and Quansah covering him.
6.) 11 May 2025 13:09:36
The problem isn't Bradley it's a lack of depth and competition in that position now Trent is leaving. Gomez, Quansah or Jones are not good enough to cover that position if Bradley's form drops off, he gets injured, gets suspended or suffers from burn out. 2 quality players in each position is never a bad thing.
7.) 11 May 2025 13:49:44
It has to be Alisson vs PSG for me, that was a special performance.
8.) 11 May 2025 13:59:46
Frimpong could be a great addition. Two quality players to fight for and offer cover for the RB position. And Frimpong can play further up the field giving more attacking options. With the other signings being touted we could have a very strong defence. I hope they invest wisely in a No9 though.
9.) 11 May 2025 14:08:01
I don’t think many Liverpool fans doubt Conor Bradley’s ability, it’s his durability they have question marks against. Going into a season with him as our only recognized right back would be asking for trouble.
02 Jun 2025 15:29:23
SSHead
Thanks for the info.
That flight is verified by Flight Radar.
Let’s hope it’s true and it’s our people flying out to complete his medical. ?.
31 May 2025 15:36:04
No thanks!
31 May 2025 08:25:04
Rumours of Kelleher plus £27 million for Mbueno.
Could be a good deal . I’ve always liked Mbueno.
30 May 2025 19:26:33
Jeremie Frimpong ……. Welcome to Liverpool .
YNWA.
30 May 2025 15:51:05
What a fantastic signing Wirtz will be .
So excited about him joining us .
Along with Frimpong and Kerkez… and possibly another couple of players … this is turning into a great transfer window .
YNWA.
12 Jun 2025 14:36:16
Can he not just stop mentioning the Ballon d’or
Embarrassing.
07 Jun 2025 18:31:40
Ed025
As an England fan I totally agree .
What’s Tuchel thinking of picking these players.
It’s dire to watch .
{Ed025's Note - it was embarrassing Liver La..
05 Jun 2025 12:52:34
He’s awful I’m afraid.
04 Jun 2025 21:36:05
And right on cue Wirtz scores the opening goal ??
From watching this game … I feel the German players around him are just not switched on like he is . His movement is excellent, and too quick for his teammates a lot of the time .
Really impressed with him .
31 May 2025 20:02:31
I’d like Inter to win ??.
