It doesn’t seem in the bag at all Mikey. If anything it seems more and more likely that he won’t come here. We’re unlikely to be in the champions league next season barring a miracle, which will have a huge impact on our ability to compete in the transfer market, as our hand to mouth policy is dependent upon that income stream. You also have to consider that City are clearing the decks by selling Cancelo and looking to move on Bernardo Silva and Gundogan they’ll have the funds and room to accommodate him, and can any one seriously say with a straight face that the hot mess we are at the moment is a more attractive proposition than a competitive city side? Besides, our squad needs so much work on it we can’t afford to fix all the problems and buy Bellingham with FSG still at the club any capacity at the club, as minority “investment” isn’t going to find its way into the transfer budget and Bellingham doesn’t fix all the issues we have.

The thing to remember with French owners is that they have a three level pricing structure.
(1) a normal price they’ll charge to other French clubs who aren’t PSG.
(2) a PSG price.
(3) an English price, which is the same as the PSG price, but is followed with “I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries, you English pig dogs” at the end of any correspondence.

There’ll be no more signings this month. There’s no way that this squad is going to suddenly going to get better, so be prepared for it to get a lot worse.

Navy, they have money to spend and don’t work on a hand to mouth basis. We however don’t have money to spend and we do work on a hand to mouth basis. If you’re thinking this summer is going to be a big spending one, you’re in for a lot of disappointment.

Changing manager changes nothing. There isn’t one manager currently available who can change this. Any new manager still has to work with the same players and under the penny pinching hand to mouth strategy of FSG, which was shown this week by David Lynch to be actively holding the club back because of FSG accelerating loan repayments to themselves. The only answer is FSG have to go as this will carry on like this until they gave finally relinquished control, and not to more of the same like HBSE or Pagliuca.

If you genuinely believe we haven’t been crap this season then you’ve been watching an entirely different team to me. 9th in the table, losing to two of the bottom three sides in the table, getting absolutely pumped by Brentford and Brighton, out of s the domestic cups and soon the champions league doesn’t suggest anything other than the fact we’ve been crap.
