Any of the eds know if we have any interest in a Greek Left Back named Kostas Tsimikas?

Definitely need cover there and fullback seems like one of the most scarce positions in the modern game in terms of finding someone competent defending and going forward.

{Ed002's Note - Kostas Tsimikas (LB) another option for Leicester if Chilwell were to depart. Yuto Nagatomo is due to be replaced in the summer so Galatasaray have looked. Third pick for Napoli as a Faouzi Ghoulam replacement. Fenerbahce are short a LB and have Hasan Ali Kaldirim out of contract in the summer. Locomotiv Moscow have Maciej Rybus heading for the door this summer and have seemingly given up hope on Mikhail Lysov and have been in contact with Olympiacos over a deal for the summer. Sheffield United have looked and declared an interest.

I am not aware of interest from Liverpool.}

I had a question about MBS the Saudi Prince's proposed takeover of Newcastle. I get that it's hard to litigate who is fit enough from a moral standpoint to own these clubs and many owners have questionable ethics so I don't want to preface this with politics but; Are there any governing bodies that have this authority or look into matters such as who is fit to own and how would they go about this if the authority does exist with someone?

Mane Abel

{Ed002's Note - The Premier League have to apply a fit and proper persons test.}

ed002 why when they are going to buy a Football club does the human rights thing come up so much but when there here on a royal trip the go meet the queen and pm and stuff is said but not as much about it as when they go buy Newcastle. This is more a political thing than a football thing its like when Matt Hancock has a go at the players for taken a pay cut yet there is people like Richard Branson who does nothing to help and furlough is staff. I see a lot footballers that do a lot good but there all ways the ones to get the stick.

{Ed002's Note - The issues with human rights, the mass executions and specifically the murder of Jamal Khashoggi have all been discussed wth Mohammed bin Salman in the past and when he made a state visit to the UK, so I am not sure why that passed you by. Sales of arms to Saudi Arabia from British and Northern Irish companies is now forbidden - so I rather suspect that has all passed you by. You cannot equate footballers to Richard Branson but it was a rather crass statement from Hancock. There are indeed plenty of footballers doing good.}

Crazy that we even went there. So much for being a club of leftism, workers rights, Bill Shankley, etc. A club that spends literally hundreds of millions on transfers in a single month can't pay their own workers through a pandemic? Deeply disappointing and the apology isn't good enough.

Crazy that he's so in demand he's cost prohibitive to pretty much anybody.
