Deal agreed! Just need to get medical and paperwork completed! 10 million, neco on loan and fabio back to Fulham on loan for rest of season.

MartyMcFly

1.) 31 Jan 2022 22:16:16
Wow. Hope they're paying all wages while they're on loan.

2.) 31 Jan 2022 22:21:38
Great window.

3.) 31 Jan 2022 22:33:01
If true, I think it’s a good deal for both clubs. Might go a little step towards improving our relationship with them. Would be nice to start doing the right thing transfer wise under ward.

4.) 31 Jan 2022 22:35:48
Just seen this myself, great news 💯👍.

13 Jan 2022 12:28:51
Hi eds, do you think Bissouma will sign for Villa? And do you think this may force us to act this month rather than miss out? I know you have said he won't go until the summer.

MartyMcFly

{Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely that Liverpool will be looking to buy Bissouma this month - Brighton are not looking to sell this month and he is currently at AFCON.}

1.) 13 Jan 2022 17:42:49
We signing absolutely no one till salah is sold.

2.) 13 Jan 2022 18:29:03
My God.

3.) 13 Jan 2022 19:33:28
The amount of crystal ballers on here is astounding. Several seem to think they know what’s happening, why, who feels like what, how much money is available and how that all affects everything. Aside from Eds, no one here is ITK so the rest is just conjecture, the vast majority of which is just negative BS.

Please people, give the negativity a rest.

4.) 13 Jan 2022 20:48:18
It's the ones that think they know the ins and outs of the financial side that make me laugh. You just know at least half of them aren't allowed know the pin number of the joint account.

5.) 13 Jan 2022 20:50:36
Only a rumour but the wife of second cousin of a cab driver in Cabo Verde told me this might be a rumour page.

6.) 13 Jan 2022 22:02:19
@Jay, does that mean if Salah goes on a free we will never sign anyone every again - the club should be told! It sounds very serious.

7.) 14 Jan 2022 00:32:29
Even if we had the money tonight’s performance is once again evidence of what most of us have known for ages. Creativity from the midfield is not where it needs to be for a top team.

8.) 14 Jan 2022 03:40:53
Bissouma is hardly creative. But that being said we could do better with him.

9.) 14 Jan 2022 06:38:04
Sorry transition that was the point I was poorly trying to put across. I don’t think Bissouma is what we need.

10.) 14 Jan 2022 13:56:32
Should have signed Phil.

11.) 14 Jan 2022 13:56:32
Should have signed Phil.

11 Jan 2022 07:24:55
Apparently we've agreed to sign Kounde from Sevilla for 75 million this month. another CB! I'm calling BS LOL.

MartyMcFly

1.) 11 Jan 2022 08:01:05
Not happening.

2.) 11 Jan 2022 08:32:43
Why would we be looking to sign another central defender? That's one position that we definitely don't need reinforcements.

3.) 11 Jan 2022 08:24:57
LOL yes Konaté and Koundé at the back with van Dijk and Matip on the bench. Brilliant plan, let's gooooo.

4.) 11 Jan 2022 09:54:07
I could believe it if Jo Go is sold for 40m.
Bremer was a target as was Demiral, who are quite different to Konate. We actually bid 50m for Demiral.

5.) 11 Jan 2022 10:52:02
It’s embarrassing the list of players we get linked to!
Journalists know like all us we’ve not got a washer!

6.) 11 Jan 2022 11:00:00
Another CB? Salah must be leaving.

7.) 11 Jan 2022 11:20:07
Gomez and Philips to leave, Matip to be 4th choice. Still doesn't make much sense lol.
Maybe if we were City with a fortune to waste, but CB is not s priority!

8.) 11 Jan 2022 12:18:23
Even City don't spend a fortune on the same depth at CB as we have . . .

9.) 11 Jan 2022 13:59:02
So we will look to secure 1 point at least from each game.

10.) 11 Jan 2022 14:19:22
Doesn't make sense he would be brought in as a centre back.
Kounde is only 1.78m tall.
However, apparently he is very capable and fast as a RB.
If he was being considered, might that mean pushing TAA into more of a midfield role (to provide better service to forwards) .?
Not saying I believe the romour, just thinking out loud how it could work with our system.

11.) 11 Jan 2022 18:14:36
Kounde is about the right age, anyone think we could play 3 at the back with this lad on the right side, pushing Trent further up the field .

12.) 11 Jan 2022 19:02:34
Trent, Ali and Salah sold in the summer.

13.) 11 Jan 2022 20:31:25
Gotta pay FSG back for the new stadium. Cannot have those boys out of pocket now, can we?

14.) 11 Jan 2022 23:36:13
You do realise @StEtienne that FSG are the ones who spent the money in the first place? It’s just disgusting that they should expect any returns isn’t it?

I can’t recall your comments at the time that FSG shouldn’t have spent the money on the players, ground, training centre etc.

That said please accept my apologies if you did and I missed it.

15.) 12 Jan 2022 07:51:03
West Derby Wanderer what are you on about, they needed to spend the money or they wouldn't get any returns on their money? The question is why aren't they spending money now to keep up with city, chelsea, ect, they don't care about the fans, it's a business to them and they'll just do enough to keep it ticking over. Everyone who lives in Liverpool and supports them knows that, there is deep unrest from the people who live in the city and go the match.

16.) 12 Jan 2022 10:20:58
Sorry Jim, I don’t understand what you are on about either.

What I will say is that it’s really great news that the Anfield Road End is being paid for by the pixies.

I can also add that I was born and lived in Liverpool (can you guess which suburb? ) for 40 odd years, went to the match for about 35 of them and still have most of my family and friends living in the city and I and most of them don’t share your view about concern for the club - in fact some of them actually enjoy going to the match, the trend buckets eh?

Your view of business - just do enough to keep it ticking over - is a ridiculous comment based on the success on the pitch over the past 3 or 4 years and off field with the on-going development of the ground, the training centre and the improvement of throughput from the academy to the first team squad.

The idea that we have to spend heaps on players because City and Chelsea etc do is, at best, simplistic, as discussed in a thread on here yesterday but if you look at the money that City spent on recent ‘marquee’ signing Grealish £100m 😁😁😁) and the lad that Premier League Manager players on the forum were clamouring for in July who signed for Chelsea on the never never and promptly disappeared - Paul was it or Saul or something there is something to be said for keeping our powder dry.

It will be interesting to see the P and L reports for the clubs in the next couple of months or so. I expect that they will show that we are not the only ones making a loss and the transfer market is dead at the moment for nearly everybody, not just us.

17.) 12 Jan 2022 22:48:59
City and Chelsea will still outspend us.

18.) 13 Jan 2022 10:08:17
Their return comes in the value of the club West Derby Wander and its astronomical compared to what they paid for the club and whatever money they put into the club.

19.) 15 Jan 2022 09:24:04
@Irish, are you referring to the £3bn that has started to be taken as Gospel on here?

Couple of points …. when it comes to selling or buying players there is talk about the players worth to the club wanting to buy. It seems (using our fringe players as an example) that what we, or more specifically the club, value our assets a fair bit higher than people wish to pay. Funny how the same logic isn’t being applied to the club’s value. Just saying

Equally it is odd that a fair few people on here think that the club has been going backwards for at least three years - players are old, players have lost value, FSG won’t spend, FSG are happy to run the club on a shoestring with no ambition yet they (the critics) point to massive (astronomical) profits when they abandon this run down ageing squad and club that has no prospects. It seems to be a contradictory point of view. Again, just saying.

06 Jan 2022 13:30:31
Hi eds, with Diaz looking a possibility I've seen the name Randal Kolo Muani mentioned also. Any info? Have you heard anything and do you see us getting one of then or maybe both in January? Thanks in advance.

MartyMcFly

{Ed002's Note - I have explained all Liverpool need to do to sign Diaz already.
Randal Kolo Muani (W/F) A raw and sometimes clumsy talent Watford and West Brom showed an interest in previously. Eintract Frankfurt and Milan are discussing taking as a Free Agent in the summer - the point of discussion being around the size of the signing on fee.}

1.) 06 Jan 2022 14:49:51
Thanks eds.

2.) 06 Jan 2022 16:21:16
A few bosman's wouldn't go a miss.
Ed's if Neco does leave, any idea if his loss would be covered with Gomez, Milner and Bradley?

Also, any news on the Torino defender Bremer.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Who will Liverpool be moving on to make space for these "few Bosmans"? Williams has no future at the club and Liverpool may look to a youngster to fill the role - perhaps Bradley. Liverpool added Konate so Liverpool interest will have gone in Bremer.}

3.) 07 Jan 2022 00:09:25
I don't think people really consider that we might 'need to move players on in order to bring new ones in, and not just due to money.

4.) 07 Jan 2022 04:48:25
Move Adrian and Karius, Neco, Philips, VDB Or Rhy, Keita, Ox, Mina, Origi.

In 2 mid and 2 Fwd.

5.) 07 Jan 2022 13:56:37
We are in need of a decent cover for trent. Bradley is young and has good potential according to reports i've read so may not require and knowing FSG it may help us save money to spend elsewhere on the squad. However if we could bring someone in like Kostas who is a very good cover player when robbo is out, it would be great.

{Ed001's Note - have you forgotten Neco Williams???}

6.) 07 Jan 2022 22:52:49
I really like Neco and everytime he's in the starting 11 want him to do well. But I just don't see that spark in his play in comparison to trent in 2016/ 17. I would love for him to stay and compete but I think he wants more game time.

23 Aug 2021 19:53:37
Do you think Traore will happen eds or has that ship now sailed? Thanks.

MartyMcFly

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps. Adama Traore (RW) not keen on a new contract - Leeds and West Ham have asked Wolves about his availability and it would not be a surprise to see some interest from Spurs. Could potentially interest Klopp who has had the hots for him before. Wolves will want a new contract agreed but have now started talks over a replacement for him.}

1.) 23 Aug 2021 20:33:17
Why don’t we go for wolves replacement for adama who will probably cost about 4 and 9 pence.

2.) 23 Aug 2021 22:15:55
Or the replacement for the replacement for Traore?

If we signed Adama we could pretend we are Galactica.

13 Mar 2022 17:13:54
Frank is doing well 🤣😜.

MartyMcFly

1.) 13 Mar 2022 17:34:49
Bless! 🤣.

{Ed0666's Note - there’s gonna come a point where I’m gonna start feeling sorry for Everton. Im very much enjoying the laughing at their despair stage momentarily but soon it will turn into empathy I’m sure.

2.) 13 Mar 2022 18:02:58
Well those 3 points that Fat Frank has helped them to win is currently keeping them out of the bottom 3. I think that Franks points per game is 0.5. Rafas points per game 0.95. Careful what you wish for has never been more appropriate.

3.) 13 Mar 2022 18:10:22
They are on a race to the bottom three. Only 1 point behind Burnley now 😳.

If they do happen to get relegated then it has to go down as the worst club management EVER! £500 Million spent on a bunch of clowns. Shocking.

4.) 13 Mar 2022 18:03:01
Ed0666, I think I'm already there, we are only 500m and a new stadium away from being in their position!

In all seriousness their situation looks bleak but they have two huge away games against Burnley and Watford at some point to fit in and they will be crucial to their chances. Newcastle Thursday is a must win but lose that and their confidence will be even lower and their run in is far from easy.

{Ed0666's Note - I have so much to say but so little time 😂

5.) 13 Mar 2022 19:29:28
I do feel bad for Everton. I'd hate to see them relegated. Maybe I'm alone here in this opinion, but I'd love to see a title challenge with Everton one day again; fall back to the '80's.

6.) 13 Mar 2022 19:04:44
They are in big big trouble. Newcastle will beat them. I reckon a pub team would have a good chance at the moment. Watford winning is huge. Just need Burnley to start winning now and game over. Ta da Frank! I hope we humiliate them at Anfield.

7.) 13 Mar 2022 18:45:18
I'm now intrigued ed0666 😂 and lang that may be so but they had 14 points after 7 games (8 in the subsequent 19!) They got impacted massively by injuries and now their confidence is shot with no sign of a win. They have to beat Newcastle to give themselves hope imo.

{Ed0666's Note - I honestly hope they do t go down because I love the Merseyside Derbies mate. They are a guaranteed 6 points a season.

8.) 13 Mar 2022 20:06:56
Stone I'm with you. I've said on here and to Ed025 that I would love a title battle between us and Everton. Back when the two Liverpool clubs were the elite in the division worst case scenario for me was Everton win then at least the title stayed in the City, well that was my mindset at the time👍.

{Ed002's Note - You have a time machine Barry?}

9.) 13 Mar 2022 20:11:33
My issue for them is that there is always 1 who gets out of it, so either Burnley or Watford. Burnley have done it before and Watford have Woy. Norwich are only 1 win a way from making Everton very nervous.

I hope they don't go but their players need to show fight or its curtains for them!

10.) 13 Mar 2022 21:17:18
I would hate to see Everton go down

What they and LFC did for the City and the wider region during the 1980s should never be forgotten

It’s was the City v everyone else.

11.) 13 Mar 2022 22:40:51
The only way we're going to see a title battle between Liverpool and Everton again is if we get relegated with them.

12.) 13 Mar 2022 23:03:09
The position isn’t a false one - they have been in decline for a while now. As an outsider it looks like the owner thought he could buy success, which hasn’t worked out. The last couple of managerial appointments have been pretty silly for different reasons and Everton have a problem in so far as the teams around them have experience of what you need (and don’t need) to do in this position with 10 or so games to go.

Also see in the media that Moshiri may have a mind to sell the club if he can’t find investors to throw more good money after bad.

I would hate to see Everton relegated - a lot of good mates (and even a deranged cousin or two) are Evertonians - live the rivalry and think it would be a blow to the city to lose one of our PL teams but I think they are looking increasingly like relegation material. I hope I’m wrong, but either way the club leads a massive overhaul.

13.) 13 Mar 2022 23:24:39
Unfortunately Ed002 my DeLorean packed in last week my friend.

14.) 14 Mar 2022 00:45:38
‘Live’ was supposed to be ‘love’.

{Ed0666's Note - clearly your OCD wouldn’t let you go to bed without correcting your mistake. 😀

15.) 14 Mar 2022 12:10:28
They have 22 points and scored 14 of them in the first 7 or 8 matches of the season.

They have to be in the worst form of any team in the league since. They're dead.

18 Feb 2022 06:01:02
Looks like Mpbappe is signing then 🤣.

MartyMcFly

1.) 18 Feb 2022 09:39:46
We can dream, would sell Salah all day if it meant we could get Mbappe but it just won’t happen unfortunately.

2.) 18 Feb 2022 11:43:11
Ridiculous post Salah is currently twice the player of Mbappe and will be for next 3 years! Also Mbappe will flop in the prem he is another Messi who likes the easy life. Plenty of players out there can do what bappe does also the same with Haaland both guys are just hyped by the media they are not Gods. The only player I would be upset that we did not buy is Jude Bellingham. Haaland and Mbappe are not worth the money they would cost and suck out of the club.

3.) 18 Feb 2022 11:59:19
Salah work rate and attitude are brilliant and he knows EPL.

Mbappe like Haaland could turn out to be a prima Donna.

Get Mo to sign contract extension please.

Get Klopp to sign contract extension please!

4.) 18 Feb 2022 12:36:36
I feel like there’s a lot of moving parts to all of these contracts and they probably won’t be resolved until the summer. I do still think Mo will sign though.

5.) 18 Feb 2022 12:53:39
I think it makes perfect financial sense to not give Salah a new contract on 400k a week to then sign Mbappe on 700k a week with a 40 mill signing on fee 👀.

That will be up there with me accepting my renewed car insurance offering me a new premium of 250% more on the previous year despite another year of no claims.

6.) 18 Feb 2022 14:13:09
Joshkel91, clearly has no idea. Wow.

7.) 18 Feb 2022 14:53:20
JK23, shouldn't that be another year of Mo claims?

ScouseNouse, there are plenty of players that can do what Mbappe and Haaland do? Are you serious?

8.) 18 Feb 2022 16:03:31
Why do so many people have such red blinkers on? Really think Salah is better than Mbappe and will be for the next few years?

I hate to break it to you but Salah isn’t going to get any better from this point. Mbappe is ready to step up and win the ballon d’or in the next couple of years. He would be frightening in our forward line.

You could break the bank and give Mbappe 600k a week now and still sell him for 100 million plus in 4 years. Give salah 4/ 5 years, get another couple years performance wise out of him and then let him go for nothing.

All hypothetical and never going to happen but I’m not having this nonsense that Mbappe is dross and Salah is levels above him.

9.) 18 Feb 2022 16:28:32
Or Mbappe might not like the rain and the wind on Merseyside or he may be allergic to Scouse or he might want team talks in French and he may want to go to Madrid after a season or two in EPL which has too many rough players in it.

If Mbappe isn’t banging the doors to come to LFC then forget him and look to get someone who is fully committed and willing to join us.

10.) 19 Feb 2022 09:42:24
Joshkel91, Salah is light years of Mbappe. It’s not even close.

06 Dec 2021 15:51:44
Hi everyone. I might be being a little picky here and it is just my opinion of course but I've thought mane has looked a bit off the pace in last couple of games and his play has seemed a bit slow and his final ball etc has been poor. Interested in ed1 opinion and of course other posters. Cheers.

MartyMcFly

{Ed001's Note - he has not been at his best, but he has not had the kind of overlapping support that Salah gets in those games. Salah has had TAA and (usually) Henderson getting out wide and high early to help him out, Thiago has mostly been played on that left side and he sits deeper and looks to get on the ball. Robertson/Tsimikas have not been charging forward with the abandon of old, so Mane does not have the obvious options available to move it on quickly. I think that is as much to blame as anything.}

1.) 06 Dec 2021 16:06:46
Hendo looks good when he floats about on the right to help out Trent and Salah. Be good to see him swap sides with Thiago a bit more so he can do the same on the left hand side. I know his left foot isn’t as good as his right for crosses but it would give the opposition a headache from the left as well as from the right then.

2.) 06 Dec 2021 16:08:37
Robertson has been charging forward but instead of crossing the ball with his left foot he stops in order to use his right thus slowing down any action!

3.) 06 Dec 2021 16:47:58
Personally, I feel Mane has been back to his old self this season. Apart from the last couple games.
But to be fair, all our attackers had a bad game at Wolves, except for Origi of course 😜.

4.) 06 Dec 2021 17:52:26
All of our attackers had a bad game?
More like Wolves defended like trojans.
Their left back was superb, he stopped Salah running riot which not many people have done in the last few seasons. Salah was able to set Divvy up once their left back had gone off injured, if he'd stayed on the pitch that goal probably wouldn't have happened.
Mane has looked more himself this season, but it just wasn't quite happening for him against Wolves.

5.) 06 Dec 2021 18:34:04
Cheers Ed, makes sense. Just the last couple of games been noticeable but what you are saying makes sense. Hence why I wanted your views. He is definitely on better form this season.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate. We are very right-side biased this season, it would be nice to see us swap that about in games like Wolves, where the left wing-back is having a blinding game. Though it paid off in the end, that was more due to the lad going off injured than our persistence.}

6.) 06 Dec 2021 18:44:36
That’s a very good point eds1 👍🏻.

7.) 07 Dec 2021 10:42:31
I wouldn’t say Klopp’s right wing Ed?
Definitely a Social Democrat, lol.

8.) 07 Dec 2021 15:29:12
The Green Party more like.

01 Oct 2021 13:40:47
Predictions for the city game lads and lasses? I'm going 3 1 to us. YNWA.

MartyMcFly

1.) 01 Oct 2021 14:01:01
Same ad, 3 1 with Sala scoring 2 and Jones with the other. Confident i am Mcfly.

2.) 01 Oct 2021 14:22:28
3-2 for us. With an own goal from us.

3.) 01 Oct 2021 14:51:02
I think Fabinho gets sent off and we lose 2-0.

4.) 01 Oct 2021 17:44:43
Just win.

5.) 01 Oct 2021 18:00:34
Optimistic then Bram?! Lol.

6.) 01 Oct 2021 21:47:00
Everything clicks, we play the game of the century and win 6-0.

7.) 01 Oct 2021 22:39:16
3-0 milner 3 penalties.

8.) 01 Oct 2021 23:54:08
Roger Hunt would probably pop up with a header in the dying seconds so I'm going to 2-1 Bobby bags the winner.

9.) 02 Oct 2021 04:24:27
1-0 Liverpool or 1-1
Tight game and not high scoring as some believe it might be.

10.) 02 Oct 2021 09:20:09
Akira with a new account?

11.) 02 Oct 2021 10:07:45
I think we'll humiliate them. Bring them on, I'm confident as hell about it. 4-1. Salah 3 and a vvd header.

12.) 02 Oct 2021 11:14:47
Tight game, but we’ll win. The atmosphere will make Sterling shrink back into gif hole.

13.) 02 Oct 2021 12:08:10
Would love a win and a clean sheet tbh, not picking a score as I hate predictions lol I always get them wrong! Though on the live chat I do sometimes at half time haha.

14.) 02 Oct 2021 12:20:30
I think a draw probably 1-1.

15.) 02 Oct 2021 21:03:22
6-4 not decided which way yet.

29 Sep 2021 11:09:57
Long shot here guys. I am trying to download my match ticket on an android phone to Google pay but having no luck at all! Can anyone help? Just keeps saying there has been a problem and to try again. any help much appreciated.

MartyMcFly

1.) 29 Sep 2021 19:51:12
You’re a fool if you don’t appreciate how good Suarez was for us and I’ve watched the likes of dalglish, rush and Fowler play for us.

2.) 30 Sep 2021 20:36:22
Correct, Pegleg. People have short memories and the same ones will be slagging off Salah and not remembering him for how good he was if he leaves, and that includes some of the Eds.
