With tenuous rumours of an interest in Kane, May I ask what people think of him as a player and would he fit in to our team. I just can’t see the legend that he clearly believes he is. The Ronaldo and Messi world class players turn big games in their teams favour. Humble Harry is undoubtedly a super player (prone to a bit of diving, but who isn’t these days), but when England needed a hero in the last World Cup he missed a very easy chance for a world class player. Also the 007 esque shoot on sight attitude may be well good enough for the captain of an average Spurs team to get away with, but would Salah or Mane get away with it from within our squad if they tried a pop every time either were within sight of the goal regardless of players better placed. Personally I’d take Son over him every day. Anyway I wish the man no ill will, but it would be poetic if he joined Utd and won feck all.

Harry Kane has loads of assists this season. He would absolutely fit into the front 3 and would get min 30 goals IMO.

2.) 21 May 2021 23:33:53
Don't always like his play ie backing into players, however in any top team he will score for fun. Put him in any top 4 team and it's 30 plus goals. Not just a goal scorer but he can link up to. Him salah and mane would have a field day. Out of our price though. Man city all day unfortunately.

3.) 21 May 2021 23:53:17
The perfect striker. He has been too 3 strikers in the world for a long time now. He has everything but blistering pace. But his movement and intelligence means he doesn’t need it. He is probably the best passer out of any out and out striker I have ever seen. His work rate is incredible and his ability to win free kicks getting his body in and giving the referees no choice is a trade mark. I think he is an amazing player. He is still under rated by the majority of English football fans.

4.) 21 May 2021 23:59:36
Brilliant player. We have no chance of signing him but he would suit us perfectly.

5.) 22 May 2021 01:01:36
The credit will come when he gets his move.

At spurs he will always have no transfer fee over his head.

6.) 22 May 2021 01:49:45
Amazing player and would fit us hand in glove on paper, but his ankles are made of glass and just isn’t really a Liverpool-type personality. A certain arrogance about him (not in a good way) that i don’t think would suit him here, I just can’t picture Liverpool fans warming to Harry Kane. Then obviously all the cheating and the backing into players and the narcissism over his goal tallies as well would mean it just wouldn’t be a good fit.

7.) 22 May 2021 06:58:05
I think solely on footballing ability he would suit us down to a tee. Works hard, links play well, but most importantly scores goals.
He’s such an intelligent footballer too, albeit the odd spot of ‘cheating’ but he’s the kind of player you hate playing against but you’d love in your team (in a similar sort of way to Suarez though he’s more extreme) .

But like AW has said, he’s attitude and personality is all wrong for the club. He tries to make everything the him show and puts his own personal awards (eg golden boot) over choosing better options during games (granted mane and salah are like that, Kane is a whole new level) .

He’s definitely a player that would improve our goal scored tally and he’ll the team achieve targets. And I have previously said I’d have him in a heart beat but that’s silently down to his football in ability. But unless his attitude were to change I’d be sceltical as to if he’d truly fit in with the club.

8.) 22 May 2021 07:51:20
I think you can live with Kane being a bit about himself if he is plundering as many goals and assists a season as he is.

9.) 22 May 2021 08:47:58
We need to find a £40m Mane or Salah of 4 years ago. I have absolutely no idea who. Over to you Mr Edwards.

10.) 22 May 2021 11:36:55
Markp08 - Dusan Vlahovic.

Ed with Liverpool misleading other clubs are the club now also legally exposed to the other 11 clubs that withdraw and claim their brand has been damaged. It’s a beggars belief that number one they would try it and then for these so called business moguls not complete due diligence before signing.

Thanks Ed2 you have called this a long long time ago, your knowledge of these issues is incredible. I just hope the club survives this madness. The insight of all the Ed’s on here has been invaluable over the last few days. Thank you all 👍👏.

2.) 20 Apr 2021 21:22:42
The pariah's of English football yet again. Enjoy Salah for the rest of this season. Cling to the memories of VVD, Allison, Fabinho, Robbo and Trent. No way a national league club will be able to keep them.

A huge game today, few years ago we were in a position to go 10 points clear of city, we lost the game and city went on to win the league. Here’s hoping that we can do the same to them.

Hopefully we have a few of our walking wounded fit to start. I expect a big performance from the boys today.

I might be mistaken and open to correction but when Klopp won the league for the second time with Dortmund, they were written off as contenders before they went on an amazing run to win the title.

Throw in the fact that we never did anything the easy way, (before you say we won it easy last year, there was talk at one stage that the season was going to be declared null and void) gives me hope.

There are lots of twists and turns left yet lads and ladies. The fat lady ain’t even warming up yet.

I fully expect us to win today Meath. As good a run as they’ve been on I’ve watched them recently and I’ve not been that impressed. The media would have you believe they’ve been amazing but they really haven’t and have been lucky in more than one game.
With Fabs, Ali and Mane back and hopefully one or both of the new CBs coming in and having lost our last 2 home games I think we’ll be a different animal today.

2.) 07 Feb 2021 13:03:12
If all the boys perform to their best, we destroy them. Big if.

3.) 07 Feb 2021 13:20:59
Call it blind optimism but I believe we will beat City today. I will go with 3-1.

4.) 07 Feb 2021 13:58:10
We are playing well against the better teams anyways. At least a point will do tonight. A win would be a bonus, a loss would be be morale derailing.
Its beating the smaller teams (no disrespect intended) that's the problem, not the top end teams.

Again the doom and gloom merchants are out in force. Did anyone here really believe, I mean really believe before the Barcelona game that we would score four against Barcelona and not concede without Mo and Bobby. I’m sure most people like myself only hoped it was possible.

This team is far from done and until it’s mathematically impossible to retain the title league is not lost. We play a game on Sunday that if we win we are back to four points behind. There are a lot of points to be played for yet.

The moaners will always moan, the rest keep believing please.

Well said mate.

2.) 04 Feb 2021 19:20:36
But your not commenting on performances from this season.

3.) 04 Feb 2021 19:20:52
I’m assuming you didn’t watch the game last night abc you don’t know who our opponents are at the weekend? The form that City are in at the moment it’s hard to see them losing, they don’t concede and they’ve got goals throughout their team, we look like we’re going to concede a soft goal every time we play. Our midfield has no goals and looks sluggish, and if our front three don’t click, we don’t score.

4.) 04 Feb 2021 19:29:29
Love the positivity pal but it’s over! Injuries are crippling us and it’s cost us massive! We will go again!

5.) 04 Feb 2021 19:48:07
The irony is you're moaning about people moaning 🙄🤣.

Listen if you believe we can still win the league or whatever absolutely fine.

But if people disagree that is also sound 👍.

6.) 04 Feb 2021 19:50:35
Took some time to deliberate and read all the posts and see what others think. I always try to be positive, but as one of the Ed’s said, since the big injuries to Virgil and Gomez, turned it into a long tough season. Hopefully we get top 4, have a good run in the champions league and end the season on a high.

Made my mind up though, only one person to blame in all this, luis Suarez.

Don’t know why it’s his fault yet, he is just a scumbag 😂

🤙.

8.) 04 Feb 2021 20:00:55
Being disappointed or frustrated as you were and supporting the team are not mutually exclusive. I voiced my concerns but on the whole Im not “annoyed” for lack of a better word than I was yesterday. Perspective is we have had injuries which have hampered us. Perspective is those injuries have been in numbers and to key players. Perspective is winning the league under our current predicament was always going to be a achievement. Perspective is that we have also been playing poor pre injuries and that some fans are just concerned. Is it moaning or is it called having a difference in opinion that allows for conversation.

I respect those that are happy with everything where there are sunshine and rainbows all year round and see nothing wrong in anything we do and those in between. I agree, there are a lot of points to play for. But we should honestly take it one game at a time and just focus on top four and if we go on an amazing run, although extremely unlikely then perfect it’s a bonus and we all share in the spoils.

9.) 04 Feb 2021 20:05:28
Trouble is mate, City are 7 points ahead, a game in hand, haven’t lost since November, not conceding goals and player really well without KDB and Aguero

Won’t be putting my money us to retain the title 😂.

{Ed0666's Note - now I love me a realist

10.) 04 Feb 2021 20:29:55
It's easy. Keep the faith lads. That's what we do.

I love the club but its not the end of the world is it. Jurgen has said many times football is not the most important thing so just enjoy the ride.

There always next year lol

Let's stay positive, football is a strange old game. That's a given.

11.) 04 Feb 2021 21:14:58
People are entitled to their opinion and I would never say that they are not. I’ve plenty to moan about myself, trust me. Life is tough lads and this is a game of football we are talking about. So perhaps a little perspective required.

Yes I saw the match last night, I also know who we are playing on Sunday. The performance was poor, but I trust Jurgen to improve the form and hopefully if we get some of our injured players back we will be in the fight. The fact that we are anywhere near the top at the min given all the injuries should be celebrated, but that’s just my humble opinion.

Also before I’m accused of it I’m not claiming to be a better fan than anyone here, there is no denying the obvious issues but its still not over till it’s over. If we don’t retain the league feel free to remind or ridicule me.

I live in live in hope, in the knowledge that the team and klopp won’t lie down and die and will keep fighting till the end.

12.) 04 Feb 2021 21:19:58
However, drogie, you’d get pretty good odds now 😉.

13.) 04 Feb 2021 21:28:23
Again Meath, good post but both Klopp and a Robbo came out after the match and insinuated we’re not in the title race anymore, so of the boss is saying that.

As for moaning and it only being a football game, I think everyone is different. For me, making my points known on here actually takes my mind off the crap that’s gripping the country. I turn on the radio - C.V., watch the news - C.V. Liverpool Banter site - something to take my mind off the stresses of work and the C.V.

14.) 04 Feb 2021 21:33:07
Meath Red - Can’t fault you for anything you said in the post above. Mane, Fab and Jota should all be back in the next week. For me top 4 should be our focus and if we do better then I’ll be pleasantly surprised and ecstatic. But hey, it’s a funny ol’ season so anything can happen, so in your words I live in hope.

15.) 04 Feb 2021 22:15:32
I totally get that posting here is a great distraction from all the crap we are living through. The last thing I’m trying to do is be divisive.

I’m just trying to take the positives after a bad showing, not many last night I know. Then again that can used as motivation for Sunday.

I don’t believe that Klopp and Robbo or anyone in the first team bubble have already surrendered in February it’s not in their make up. When they said last season that they were not thinking about winning the league I didn’t believe them either. We are Liverpool and we don’t give up. If we did it would be five not six European wins. There is still hope.

Big thanks to all the Ed’s for their hard work and insight during the transfer window. This is hands down the best site for any transfer information.

Huge welcome to Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies hope they both hit the ground running. Ben looks a bit shell shocked at it all, and who could blame him. Brilliant opportunity for him and hopefully he does himself proud. Looking forward to see how they both hopefully improve under Jurgen and help the team.

Best of luck to Taki with the saints. Really hope the move works out for him and us in the long run.

Finally we are gradually moving back up the table with some fine performances, we showing again why we should be respected by all teams in the League and Europe. We should appreciate what we have while we have it. Mentality monsters is right 💪😄

Jesus I wonder why Liverpool fans would fear being treated differently to other clubs, I wonder did anything happen in the past to form this mis trust of the media. I’ve seen a lot of awful posts on here. That sir takes the rosette.
