I feel that mane and firmino have to be sold to fund player arrivals. I think sancho would be a great signing. Personally for me, if we sell those two, as well as some of the fringe players, then we get a creative/ goalscoring midfielder, a proper out and out striker, and pacey wideman to replace mane. I would also say we need a CB but i don’t think we’ll have enough money, so will have to rely on those players coming back from injury next season.
My biggest concern regardless of who we sell or buy is being left behind by the top 4 clubs like city, utd, Chelsea etc, who are already rumoured to be looking at bringing in some top players.

Personally I am not bothered, we aren’t getting top four and we have only ourselves to blame. We shouldn’t rely on other teams to do the job for us. This season has been a write-off, with all the injuries we have had and klopp’s poor team selections, trying to fit square pegs into round holes. If I’m honest, I’d rather we play a second string squad in the europa league, and let the first team focus on the domestic league and getting into the champions league again. If we get knocked out of the europa league early, it might work to our advantage. Controversial I know lol.

We aren’t going to make top four, so you might as well get used to the idea that we will be playing on Thursday night in the arse end of Europe lol.

Praise is due to pep, congrats to him and city. However it would be interesting to see how well he would do managing a team for a club which doesn’t have 100s of millions to throw at players every season, bearing in mind his last three clubs have been barcelona, Bayern and currently city, all big teams and during his tenure with each he spent a lot of money on players and/ or which already had world class players playing for them.

I doubt very much it will happen but let’s hope that we beat Man Utd and then Chelsea beat Leicester in their game.

I love mane as a player but just as you have to make tough decisions in life, so you have to make them in football. They may not be popular decisions either but as long as they are for the overall good, that’s the most important thing. In football, I don’t believe you can afford to be sentimental about players, after all they are only transient employees. If selling mane this summer allows us to rejuvenate the squad in more urgent areas, then so be it. No player is bigger than the club and if the club is going to benefit from a sale of a player, then that’s all good with me.
