Hi everyone,
Eds and macca is there any chance of seeing a couple of players from my admiration/ soft spot list below?
X. Simmons (psg)
Bakayoko (any recent news? )
Hincapie
Boniface (surely score more than darwin)
Nkunku (think he is at the wrong club to thrive)
Just a few players I've had a bit of a soft spot for really and hope they are good enough for slot to use.

Hincapie is the only player on that list that is worth considering. The rest are not good enough for us.

If we’re looking for a left footed centre back I was at Anfield today and Klavan was the standout player, he’s available on a free I think!

We doing wish lists - I would like to add on Warren Zaire-Emery please I haven’t watched him live (TV), I have seen that we are “monitoring” his situation but he goes on my wish list as he is class on current and previous fifas/ FM? sorry!
The latest thing with Bastoni and Simons I like the look of - I really like Dom for his work rate but how I see a 10 is creative exciting player like Coutinho was for us (slot might not want this), I think if Salah does leave we need to bring in someone like that to create chances, again not seen much of Simons but is he that type of 10 or another LW?

Simons is just another Nkunku. Will do ok at a midtable PL club. Not good enough for the elite level.
At the price Leipzig paid for him recently, he's not worth half of that.
Wirtz on the other hands. Whew.
If Elliott does choose to move on for first team football then we might look at youngsters like Mastantuono (River Plate) or Sudakov (Shakthar) to replace him. Equally, Elliott might stick around and prove Slot, and some of us fans, wrong.

Sudakov is a fair shout Pelican a very good player with the ability to get better too.

Isn’t he a LW though? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him play as a SS or CF. Although I’ve probably only watched him 20 times and mostly for Portugal where Ronaldo plays CF.

I rated him a while back but he hasn’t really improved in 3 years he is still a headless chicken on the ball and dives endlessly. If someone could get him to figure out what he is doing on the ball could be good but only if Diaz where to leave which I don’t want to happen. Diaz over Leao everyday of the week.

More exciting than Wirtz is subjective. but I would rate and Alvarez signing very highly alongside him. I ve been hoping all along that he is referencing Alvarez and somehow we pull off an unlikely signing.

Huge merry-go-round of managerial changes at the top end of Serie A.
My Milan mates have always said that Leao and Hernandez carried AC Milan for years - 2 influential peas in a crude pod. It was a left side channel team, in consequence and easily neutralised - they finished eighth.
Anyway, Milan are restructuring management. Theo seems to be doing a TAA and wants out (middle east or atletico madrid) . Allegri has just been appointed coach. Leao is the financial jewel in their crown. And, finally, bookies have Chiesa 3-1 to join Milan. Italy sees Chiesa as a LW.
These 5 or so "unrelated" pieces of info "could" lead to Leao being cashed in.
Neither rumour nor banter, just conjecture with none of the authority of Zeddicus' QED! Don't shoot, Just saying.

Me and my son were at the jolly miller yesterday and it was fantastic and a moment we've all been waiting for all our lives. The joy this team has brought us was plain to see and the players and staff got to see our appreciation.

Everton unbeaten in 9, and we're coming back after a break, which historically, hasn't been the best time for us putting in a good performance. A tough game no doubt 2nite, everton going v well and would like nothing better than to beat us.
In saying that I think it's type of game we need, we've been slow and lethargic for most part in the 4/ 5 games before international break, we need a high energy, high intensity type game and almost forget about tactics. Performance against Newcastle was atrocious and draw at goodison while back was a hard pill to swallow, if our lads ain't battering down the dressing room door to get stuck into everton there something badly wrong. We also have had decent break with fa cup on last weekend so tiredness is no excuse 2nite. Win 3-1 hopefully.

Ngl, I wouldn't be surprised if we lost this game. Everton would be right up for it and it depends on how we start. If we start slow, then we'd get punished. But if we start at a high tempo, we have a better chance of controlling the pace of the game. They'd definitely try to bully us off the ball so our players would need to be ready for a physical battle as well.

They've beat us in champs league finals and broke his heart twice! The grass isn't always greener and I hope he isn't on the bus at the parade. For me all this time sticking up for him feels like a loyalty issue and I would of hated Gerrard if he'd left aswell. I would never change my supporting of a football club after 20 years for a new challenge. Nearly at Sterling levels for me.

What an absolute disgrace and shambles weather it be Jurgen, Edwards or whoever we as fans will be the ones left to support our trying to get in the top 4 side! We as a support group have blind loyalty to our club but this whole way it has come about is appalling. Why do we mess things up just as we get to the top!?!
Keeping your eye on the ball as owners also should have been a top priority so they are to blame aswell.
If we have success next season it sounds via ed1 as if it will be down to luck and the hope that slot can pull something out of his ring piece.
I of course will celebrate the glory and have been there through the really bad times does anyone learn any lessons?
Ed1 how would you sort all this mess out next season?

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure it is possible to sort it out in one season. First thing is to tie down VVD and Mo to give us time to sort out the rest. Then we are going to have to look at Chambers and Beck to fill the left-sided berth. We have to look to use internal options where possible as we need to buy the best possible to fill the gaps that will be left.
The key thing is that Slot will have to make use of the squad he has, he can't just leave players sat on the sidelines and lose out on trophies again. This season was a free hit and we have missed out on getting extra trophies that would have given us more money to spend next season.
Then we have to really look at what is the most important positions to fill and prioritise. For me, that is a centre-forward. If that means every penny gets spent on Isak (for example), leaving nothing else left in the budget, it is better that then to buy three players who are not good enough to top up the squad.}

I backed him all the way and treated him with maximum respect so I feel it's not a fans decision. He's let the loyal fans down. Imagine if after 20 years and multimillion pound I decided to change supporting a different club all because I felt like a change!?!
