Hearing we won't be signing a centre half now, robbo nallo and Gomez will be used as centre back cover while tsimikas will be staying as cover for kerkez. The position will be assessed next summer when possible both konate and robbo could leave.

1.) 16 Jul 2025 11:32:18
Wow that's dreadful planning if true.

2.) 16 Jul 2025 11:39:03
What about Luca too?

3.) 16 Jul 2025 11:50:54
90 percent certain we will buy a CB. At least a younger one.

4.) 16 Jul 2025 12:07:30
I’m 91 percent certain; the other 9 percent is pretty certain. Is Hato being courted by Chelsea? There are a few gooduns - Zeze, Ait Boudlal, etc.

15 Jul 2025 17:53:39
Hughes and Edward's have turned round to Newcastle and said it's either you sell us Isak or we buy your main target ekitike, I like it.

Queen of scotty road

1.) 15 Jul 2025 19:27:19
4D chess mate?

2.) 15 Jul 2025 20:01:26
Leaving Newcastle with the better player having not spent a penny?

3.) 15 Jul 2025 21:12:17
Newcastle won’t get 125m next summer. They’ll sell him for about 40m less and Ekitike will be off the market.

4.) 16 Jul 2025 02:51:19
Such a power move. I love it!

22 Jun 2025 19:13:33
Apparently guehi is done according to fabrizio he's just done a here we go, I'm sure you'll be happy with that one MK.

Queen of scotty road

1.) 22 Jun 2025 19:47:55
From a fake account.

2.) 22 Jun 2025 19:49:47
Where was the Here we go? Can't see it on Fab's twitter.

3.) 22 Jun 2025 19:54:33
Sorry that was a fake account I feel for the bait.

4.) 22 Jun 2025 20:36:27
I would be surprised we get Guehi unless Konate leaves.

5.) 22 Jun 2025 20:59:20
Such a hard balance signing a CB atm. Has to be of Liverpool level but has Ibou and VVD in his way. How many CBs out there fancy competing with those two? Tells you a lot.

6.) 22 Jun 2025 22:00:54
Any player with true belief in themselves should be willing to come in and complete - City, Real and Barcelona sign these kind of players all the time, despite the squad depth on offer - LFC are now at that level and players need to have that elite mentality if they are serious about joining us.

7.) 22 Jun 2025 23:59:11
I don't think anyone is competing with van Dijk but Konate? Any decent centre half should be willing to come and take his place.
I'd have done it myself a few years ago. "If it wasn't for the war".
Konate is very replaceable.

8.) 23 Jun 2025 06:08:24
Why do we sign players on 5 years contract? Soon we may have the same issue with Wiltz and others. Give them 6 years contract as Real just did with the young player from Brazil.

9.) 23 Jun 2025 07:33:42
I think the one position we can obviously improve on is Right Centre back. I don't think Konate is a world beater. He makes a lot of mistakes and definitely isn't a leader.

{Ed078's Note - does he not have the best CB in the world beside him, teaching him?

10.) 23 Jun 2025 08:47:22
Another strange name drop. Do you want any rent for me living in your head? Click my profile and check my recent posts. You’ll see I said only yesterday that renewing Konate makes more sense than signing Guehi. I’m only happy with Guehi if it is to replace Quansah and even then I think it could be disruptive as he’ll want game time in a World Cup year.

11.) 23 Jun 2025 10:01:25
Guehi rarely plays CDM (one game last season) and the aerial duel stats are alarming - he’s no Big Nat in the air. Fare thee well, big man. For me, the iconic photo of Klopp’s reign (and his favourite from 20-21) was Nat and Rhys celebrating a win but with cuts and bruises all over their faces. The new players seem to get it, this pride in playing, just as Jurgen made it a feature of our team. Some who are leaving/ have just left don’t.

Seamus Coleman went to anfield to pay his respects at 11.30 pm when there'd be no cameras to pay his respect silently, to me that is just total respect. Rival or not what a man he is.

Queen of scotty road

1.) 06 Jul 2025 18:00:33
Having met him a couple of times over here in Ireland I can say that he is an absolute gentleman. Makes time to talk to strangers when he doesn't need to.

When I saw that story of him paying his respect I was not surprised.
To be fair, the football community worldwide have been amazingly respectful.

I saw lads in the MLS and in the Aussie league doing the Jota 'playstation' celebration. Class acts all.

2.) 06 Jul 2025 21:15:03
Proper Donegal lad so he is. Fair play to him, they don't make many footballers with his genuine humility much any more.

{Ed025's Note - the guy is an absolute diamond Bmena..

3.) 06 Jul 2025 21:29:08
good to see you back ed025.

{Ed025's Note - i have never been away Stone mate.. :)

4.) 06 Jul 2025 21:42:39
There was an AFL player doing the jota celebration here in Australia. Not even the same sport.

5.) 06 Jul 2025 21:45:15
Burkey and a player in the US, after he had scored the winning penalty in injury time, got his whole team to do the Jota celebration.

This tragedy has transcended football and affected all sports people everywhere. There but for the grace of god.

6.) 06 Jul 2025 22:29:36
Ousmane Dembele did the same video game celebration when he scored vs Bayern. Dembele is also a FIFA video game junky. Or used to be.

7.) 06 Jul 2025 22:32:50
I’ve met him he was a gent, baines was another one. We’re lucky, our derby is genuinely amazing. The relationship isn’t something anybody anywhere else experiences, and I don’t mean the game. The day to day. You can’t be a liverpooo fan without appreciating/ respecting Liverpool as we’ve all been through so much stuff together. I don’t get bitter reds or blues as we are one and the same, just different sides of the fence. The banter I can understand but not the bitterness. If I needed help I’d ask an Evertonian over anyone else bar a red.

8.) 07 Jul 2025 06:09:46
Stone mate, Ed025 was locked in his bunker watching The Club World Cup! : p.

{Ed025's Note - i have not watched even one game KC or even deliberately looked at a result, its just a money making scheme mate and for me the players should be on a break and will burn out later on in the season, sometimes im really glad Everton are not European giants just now.. :)

9.) 07 Jul 2025 08:42:00
Totally agree regarding Coleman. my lad is red through and through. when he worked for a certain Christmas decoration business, he and a few lads went over to put deccys up in Coleman's house. I asked him that night, what was he like . Me lad said, he was a really nice bloke. was making cups of tea for the lads and talking footy. for a young red to say that about Everton's captain shocked me!

27 years ago yesterday Michael Owen scored that goal against the argies, where has the time gone? In that time again it will be 2052 and I doubt most of us will still be here, scary.

Queen of scotty road

1.) 30 Jun 2025 18:26:27
I will still be here!

2.) 30 Jun 2025 18:47:32
I remember it but I keep getting mixed up with the 2002 WC game.
England lost on penalties and Beckham was sent off in 98.

3.) 30 Jun 2025 18:54:56
I know I'll still be bloody working and probably much warmer than I am right now!

4.) 30 Jun 2025 19:05:08
That was the same game. Golden goal too Campbell scored from a corner to win the Game. We was celibrating turns round to see the Argies attacking as the goal was disallowed. Great game of footie that one.

5.) 30 Jun 2025 19:41:17
Speak for yourself, Queen of Scotty Road!
Lol! Just messing with you my friend. I get what you mean! Time flies! I did like Michael Owen when he first started, although his legacy is questioned among the Reds fanbase.

18 Jun 2025 21:32:13
It looks like Trent will be off on loan to villa next season or even January if he keeps this up.

Queen of scotty road

1.) 18 Jun 2025 22:13:03
Let it go and let's move on please. YNWA.

2.) 18 Jun 2025 22:23:52
Can’t imagine Jude is going to be happy with his wife this evening.

3.) 18 Jun 2025 22:40:59
He's taking Right Back Lessons next!

4.) 18 Jun 2025 22:42:13
Rent free, apparently.

5.) 19 Jun 2025 00:49:42
What do you expect with someone who cost nothing?

6.) 19 Jun 2025 00:49:45
tRENT FREE.

7.) 19 Jun 2025 03:05:26
Oh I do hope the Algonquin Group are going to regale us with their wit every time TAA plays. Although I would have thought that adults might have had more interesting subjects to occupy their minds.

8.) 19 Jun 2025 04:58:02
He’s cost us a bit of class and grace.

9.) 19 Jun 2025 05:32:08
It’s his first game for his new club; this is the banter section; his exit was naturally controversial; and your use of “Although” in a new sentence is grammatically incorrect, Dorothy.

10.) 19 Jun 2025 07:00:13
Eds, can we send all bitter Trent posts to the Real Madrid page please? ?.

11.) 19 Jun 2025 07:34:19
I’m no Trent lover but I’ve seen worse Trent performances. He delivered some terrific diagonal balls and looked good on the front foot at points. However, I only watched it because it was on Channel 5 and I was hoping to get my usual binge of Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords.

12.) 19 Jun 2025 09:08:49
I'm with you, Frode. Absolutely no Trent lover, in fact I've slagged him off when the majority on here said he was best RB in the world. But, he had a decent game yesterday.

13.) 19 Jun 2025 09:09:44
Who would posters want to win a European Cup Winners Medal in the future hopefully? our future right backs Bradders, Frimpong or an opposition right back of "ANY" club.

And ask yourselves also which boyhood club would TAA want to win if it was Liverpool Football Club v The "Poachers" in any game?

He is now an opposition player and should be treated as such?, as he wants the best for his boyhood club, just like I want the best for my boyhood club also!

14.) 19 Jun 2025 09:16:32
Like you say @KC, my old sunshine, it’s a banter site, unless of course, you happen to disagree with, or dislike, the banter eh?

You seem ok with dishing it out nut not quite so good if you perceive yourself as being on the receiving end.

15.) 19 Jun 2025 10:05:39
Any of you lot still supporting the future ballondor winner and wishing him well seriously need your heads testing ?.

16.) 19 Jun 2025 10:25:20
QOSR, who is supporting him? some people just aren't as petty as others.

17.) 19 Jun 2025 10:45:00
What more 'interesting subjects', Voltaire the Fourth? This is the 'Liverpool Banter' sub-thread. You need to manage your expectations, or go and read a book.

18.) 19 Jun 2025 11:02:11
Nick, are you referring to Voltaire, volume 4? A fascinating piece of work, if I may say. You and I must discuss at an opportunity which suits us both. I eagerly await such a moment.

19.) 19 Jun 2025 11:27:39
If it’s the Liverpool banter site, why do people keep harping on about someone who plays for Real Madrid?

20.) 19 Jun 2025 11:36:11
Uncomfortable conversations right, WDWIV.

21.) 19 Jun 2025 12:05:03
If this keeps up, the Trent posts will become as inappropriately nauseating as Shappy’s articles about Manchester United on our rumours page lol.

22.) 19 Jun 2025 14:57:20
Faith, and we will have to deal with them instead of these comments being posted on the RM page, like someone already proposed.

15 Jun 2025 10:41:37
Gravenberch has been pictured on holiday with hato, Does anyone know if the wives are friends? as this seems to be the main reason we sign players now.

Queen of scotty road

{Ed001's Note - they are best friends. They often holiday together.}

1.) 15 Jun 2025 11:06:17
who was the last player we signed whose wives were friends?

2.) 15 Jun 2025 11:38:30
Faith I don’t think it’s actually a thing.

The only transfer I remember where husbands and wives were close was John Terry and Wayne Bridge.

3.) 15 Jun 2025 11:45:57
Quality Jk23 ? I’d add Ryan Giggs and Rhodri Giggs too.

4.) 15 Jun 2025 11:46:47
Too close ?.

5.) 15 Jun 2025 11:59:06
Frimpong close to Hato too ed? i like the idea if this signing.

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea mate, I just know that Hato is close with Gravy as he brought him over as a guest for one of our matches last season. He was asked about it in an interview and mentioned they holiday together and that Gravy knows he is a Liverpool fan so invited him over as a guest for a game. That is also how I know Hato is a Liverpool fan.

It is a bit like Ekitike, he is known to be a United fan because he said as much in an interview a number of years back when he was a kid. Ed77 sent me the clip. And, to be honest, his social media also gives it away as he is always liking content from Man Utd or that is related to United.}

6.) 15 Jun 2025 12:08:38
So Ed, Hato is like Gvardiol. Both CB that can play well as LB, and both are Liverpool fans. We already lose Gvardiol to City, might as well go after Hato now.

7.) 15 Jun 2025 12:52:05
Ekitike, let him go to the mancs pls, not for me or us.

8.) 15 Jun 2025 12:57:45
Ajax will not likely want to sell Hato so keep this in mind as well.

9.) 15 Jun 2025 13:02:24
If we’re going to lose both LBs, I’d see if Ajax would do an agreement to sell or a sell and loan back for Hato.

Would rather use Beck as backup LB and give Hato game time, whilst signing him up anyway!

10.) 15 Jun 2025 13:46:15
And the new Ajax manager isssssss. This one could have real legs. Unlike pinocchio.

11.) 16 Jun 2025 08:54:53
Is Hato married? Isn’t he 15 years old or something?

11 Jun 2025 18:15:15
15 years today the vuvuzela World Cup kicked off where has the time gone.

Queen of scotty road

1.) 11 Jun 2025 19:21:26
I can still hear them things ringing in my ears. Remember having to turn the sound on the tv right down.

2.) 11 Jun 2025 19:29:12
It's blown by.

3.) 11 Jun 2025 19:35:29
One of my favourites that world cup, I know most hated the vuvuzela but it was just a party. The fans, the songs, the football, and some of the goals (because of the football) made it a cracking watch. It helped that I worked in a pub at the time too so basically got paid to watch the games ?.

4.) 11 Jun 2025 19:47:12
Was ruined that world Cup by the hideous sounds.

5.) 11 Jun 2025 19:53:57
WYred, I didn't and have never had issues with the vuvuzelas. If you are used to w.

6.) 11 Jun 2025 19:58:03
Pressed send too soon

WYred, I didn't and have never had any issues with the Vuvuzelas. If you consitently watch African football esp. the AFCON (a comp. I have been watching since the 8à's) then, you are used to hearing drums, trumpets and yeah, vuvuzelas (SA hosted the AFCOn in 1996) will not be surprising to you. in fact, you don't even hear these sounds after a while.

Personally, I think some people had never experienced such a thing hence, the whole outrage. I get it.

7.) 11 Jun 2025 21:20:35

I’m starting to think it might be a case of keeping Diaz and Nunez for another season and see where we are next year especially after the awful jota news, diogo was so valuable in terms of his ability to play anywhere across the front three so I think we stick with what we’ve got, Elliot and chiesa included and sign a centre back as well as try and introduce rio and maybe another.
