Oh great! Surely the season is close to being paused eds? It seems to be ripping through the country and it would make sense to have some sort of break? I understand it's all about money and not players health but I guess at some point the powers that be will make a decision.

Most teams with a few key players out are getting postponements so if Virgil, Fab, Hendo and Mo out plus Curtis etc then maybe we should do same?
Anyway Klopp seems to want to continue ie so as long as he’s confident.

Mo and Klopp were at a community lunch yesterday. They'd hardly send Mo if he'd tested positive? Hendo was supposed to be there but wasn't.
Klopp said after the game Thursday that in a team environment once some had got it then others would too.

We have a big enough squad and so do the other teams. You can register 25 players at the beginning of the season plus all the youth players. 5 out would mean a squad of 20, plus youth still.
If Jurgen or any other manager didn’t register a whole squad or don’t trust in their younger players, maybe they’re not the right ones for the job.

I agree Tristan but a precedent has already been set by other PL clubs as to what equates to not being able to field a team. I guess it could be made a little clearer. How many players at Spurs or United had CV?

If hendo is out I would like to see morton playing the 6 position. None of our other midfielders suitable to playing there imo. He has looked v good when playing there, looks like it natural for him.

{Ed014's Note - the managers are meeting Monday so not sure what pressure they’d be able to put on the PL if they all agreed there should be a break.
I think as soon as they get a clear picture that the hospitals are going to get swamped then they’ll have to do something for sure.
So much dodgy info out there it’s hard for us mere mortals to get a true idea of what’s going to happen.

I agree with Klopp. What's the point of a break when, say in 3 weeks time, the C.V. is still running rampant. The season may naturally grind to an halt anyway, but till it does, carry on.

Exactly Mark. It'd be the same for us if we had to call off a few games. Might as well play them now rather than Wednesday nights in January when the lads are gone to the AFCON.

You may have been asked this before, but is there a problem with the young lads we brought in, Canos and Polgar, I noticed they played pre season for the u18s but not listed in the youth team squad on the website and haven't featured as yet for the u18s or u21s since the season began.
Thanks Andy {Ed002's Note - It is an age issue. There are now very stringent rules about under 18s leaving their homeland without guardians. There is schooling etc. that needs working out. Very, very complicated.}

They are Liverpool players and played in the pre-season games however we have yet to gain their work permits to play in FA competitions, both players have travelled to America to play in a tournament that starts tomorrow and ends on Saturday. Hope this helps.
