Hi Eds, due to the fact we've got about 30 midfielders. Who do you foresee moving on please? Cheers

RedNeve

{Ed002's Note - Gerrard, possibly Sterling. Alberto.}

I agree completely Sahko was good tonight.
I also think Lallana is only a bit of confidence away from showing his best form. The only criticism I have is our defensive organisation. How many times did 2 even 3 players go for the same ball!! 7 goals in 3 games says it all. I think with Clyne, Gomez, Sahko, Moreno we have a few decent defenders but they don't seem to play to a plan?

Lallana is a squad player at best. He can bring energy to a game when we've looked lethargic. But he's far from a starter.

2.) 18 Sep 2015 01:21:45
Lallana was poor IMO bar the goal.

3.) 18 Sep 2015 01:55:37
I disagree, he gave it away a few too many times tonight to be fair (and his fluffed lines when through on goal was not pretty), but he has high energy, good feet, is always looking to play people in and has a scoring touch.

It often looked like something might just happen when he had the ball, which has been sorely lacking in the last couple of games.

I think he should play as part of a midfield three as he's capable of dropping deeper to pick up the ball and effective at transitioning it into attackers, while also has a good high press in defence. Would leave Coutinho with a free role behind the CF's.

4.) 18 Sep 2015 07:42:40
There won't be any CFs playing together with Rodgers in charge; that much is obvious. Lallana was poor, his goal apart, and it is this inconsistency that he needs to stamp out before Firmino clicks or Ibe get back to form.

5.) 18 Sep 2015 08:43:12
Not trying to be funny but as soon as a defender gets within 2 foot or lallana he just surrenders the ball. Bar the goal he was average at best.

Caught offside reporting last ditch attempt to get Yarmolenko before window closes.
You got to laugh

{Ed002's Note - I think you might find it is from a different Liverpool based club.}

if Hendo misses out tomorrow then, Lucas has to play surely? Thoughts?

Can-Milner in a two men midfield.

2.) 23 Aug 2015 16:21:14
All I know is he will be needed. If not tomorrow then further ahead. To sell him is crazy! Just crazy!!

3.) 23 Aug 2015 16:31:19
Can and Milner as a two man midfield will get slaughtered by arsenal. I think it will be can Milner and lallana although I would prefer Lucas to lallana.

4.) 23 Aug 2015 21:36:45
jraz

Lallana would play, but on the flanks.

5.) 23 Aug 2015 23:16:31
so if reports are to be believed Lucas, Can & Firmino to replace hendo, ibe & lallana. Much more confident with that team v arsenal

6.) 24 Aug 2015 03:14:40
Milner and Can in midfield will get the business from Arsenal. I hope you're right with your selection, IrishAl

7.) 24 Aug 2015 05:03:29
we will get a beating like no other if we play with a two man midfield against the gunners.

22 Aug 2015 15:41:24
anybody know if Gary Medel is still available? Because if Lucas does go and I for one hope he doesn't then, Medel could do a job. Ta

1.) 22 Aug 2015 15:59:59
Probabl not as inter have just sold kovacic to Madrid

2.) 22 Aug 2015 20:25:29
How about a trade? Lucas for Medel.

I don't want Lucas to go, but if the manager isn't going to play him, then what else can he do? He's a top player and a top professional. We will be weaker as a squad without him in my opinion.

3.) 22 Aug 2015 21:33:12
what is it with Liverpool and average players, you should also look at Mikel and flamini, they walk straight into your first team.

4.) 23 Aug 2015 00:23:45
Only for Disco's on a Friday or bat mitzvah's!

11 Aug 2015 02:11:59
Got to say I thought young Gomez didn't get overawed at all against Walters. He's a horrible player! I've watched him torture our more established defenders time after time and I thought he did great. Good on you lad

I thought payment term(s) were dependent on player age?

Obviously assuming that Ancelotti will have 'Full Say' on transfers? Because it's plainly obvious that BR doesn't. Comparing Ancelotti and BR is like night and day but, if the Committee is also a prerequisite for our next manager then I think we'll struggle to get who we want.

RedNeve

{Ed002's Note - You need to go backj and read everything I have said about Ancelotti.}

Mighty Red- I went too and I thought we were nothing more than ok. I thought Sahko, Lucas and Ings did well and that's about it? Studge although great to see is obviously miles off the pace yet. Milner, Can, and Migs were quite poor. I'm trying to be glass half full but, I don't think we're close to a top 4 side. Hope I'm wrong

Let's be perfectly honest here, The 'High Press' worked because we had a player like Suarez who tortured teams with his relentless movement. (I think this is probably why Studge scored so many alongside him too) if you're going to 'Press' then you need to press from the front. We simply don't have that player now. I don't believe for a second that BR waved a magic wand and we were this high tempo Barca-esque team. It's purely down to what he inherited at the club. Namely Luis Suarez.

Regardless of who's available I think he should be shown the door!! Get an interim or perhaps Kenny will hold the fort until we do find a replacement!! To keep BR just because there's nobody obvious is ludicrous!!
