Liverpool and Man Utd both have had bids accepted of 127 euros for Enzo Fernandez according to a Portuguese journo.

RedTodd

1.) 27 Dec 2022 16:27:26
Seems cheap that had meals cost more ?.

2.) 27 Dec 2022 16:43:56
Do we get a leg each?

3.) 27 Dec 2022 16:48:17
It’s him or Jude I’d reckon.

4.) 27 Dec 2022 17:00:42
Enzo must be lies so cos Judes in the bag.

5.) 27 Dec 2022 17:15:28
I think your right jaydub.

Supposedly Liverpool Officials are in contact with Leipzig to discuss Laimer?! Hopefully a straight swap and they can have Keita back.

RedTodd

1.) 28 Aug 2022 13:01:02
A player on ed 2 possible solutions.

2.) 28 Aug 2022 14:18:49
I can see this as the most likely option.

3.) 28 Aug 2022 14:52:09
Laimer would be ideal his pressing is awesome and a solid character to go with it, hopefully he doesn't prefer bayern .

4.) 28 Aug 2022 15:28:43
Only seen him on a YouTube when linked with us. but he did look half decent to be fair.

5.) 28 Aug 2022 15:17:38
I think he probably fancies going to Bayern on a free next season, I can’t see us persuading him otherwise.

6.) 28 Aug 2022 20:43:27
RB Leipzig only sells for top money, are very hard to negotiate with and the players that left haven't exactly set the world on fire. There are better deals out there.

16 Jun 2022 12:03:45
Ramsey done ✅ don't think we are getting a midfielder this window now!

RedTodd

1.) 16 Jun 2022 12:22:49
Why because Paul Joyce said so?

2.) 16 Jun 2022 13:08:03
I wonder if they might try Trent in midfield on the right of the 3. Ramsey could be a 2 birds one stone signing! Let’s not forget Trent was a central midfielder pushed to right back.

3.) 16 Jun 2022 13:16:45
As Jurgen said, why would you play the best right back in the world in MF.
The no MF line from Joyce could be posturing to lower Sangares price . Going into next season with 3 fairly injury prone players in Hendo, Thiago and Fab would be a mistake, unless there is a forthcoming formation change on the cards.

{Ed002's Note - There are other clubs interested in Sangare and PSV will certainly not be reading the views of any Liverpool journalist.}

4.) 16 Jun 2022 13:22:49
Sly have said fee agreed now. Will be great to have some quality backup to Trent. I don't know a lot about it, would he cover for any other positions?

5.) 16 Jun 2022 13:24:57
We never won any game against the top 6 and whilst we have a strong midfield, there will be injuries this season and times where our midfield was absolutely completely overrun. Buying a multi positioned player who can also cover for Fab and Hendo is a v good idea.

6.) 16 Jun 2022 13:45:00
come on eds give us some hope.

7.) 16 Jun 2022 13:50:33
Wonder if PSV would take naby ?.

8.) 16 Jun 2022 14:29:19
Reckon there’s a gem to come out of nowhere. So far delighted with the business we’ve done.

08 Jun 2022 06:05:21
Portuguese Record reporting we have bid €100m £85m for Nunez and he wants to play for Liverpool! Any insight Eds? Have we made that bid for him?

RedTodd

{Ed002's Note - Twitter I assume.}

1.) 08 Jun 2022 08:22:41
If we wouldn’t pay that for tchoumeni (or however you spell it) then I can’t see us offering that for Nunez.

2.) 08 Jun 2022 08:32:33
@Brad, the value we put on a player has nothing to do with the value we would put on other players. It’s about how much any particular player is worth to the club and that would vary from player to player.

3.) 08 Jun 2022 08:36:58
How ever we value players we don’t have 85M to splash on one player and he is likely heading elsewhere.

4.) 08 Jun 2022 08:49:40
If Bayern cough up half the 85m it’s more realistic.

5.) 08 Jun 2022 08:57:17
Of course we can bid €85 m for one player, and Tchoumaeni wanted to go to Madrid over us, simple as!

6.) 08 Jun 2022 07:02:36
Yes. Take with a pinch of salt then 👌🏽

Cheers.

7.) 08 Jun 2022 09:46:31
Some of the reports are now coming from the Merseyside press about Nunez, we are ready to smash our transfer record but also looking at other targets.

8.) 08 Jun 2022 09:50:19
Still don't think we will get Nunez eds002? LOL.

{Ed002's Note - I was saying that I am not aware of Liverpool having made a €100M bid.}

9.) 08 Jun 2022 09:56:37
I think we acted too late with Tchouameni, money wasn’t the issue. By the time we got ourselves in gear Madrid had already been making eyes at him and he made his mind up to go there. With Nunez it’ll be between Newcastle and Man United. I can’t see us being involved regrettably.

10.) 08 Jun 2022 10:07:28
30m for mane and it’s softens the blow for Darwin!

11.) 08 Jun 2022 10:37:26

You should really look at changing your username.

12.) 08 Jun 2022 10:42:38
@DareToDream, I think that we would pay £85m if we wanted a player enough we paid over £70m for Ali and VVD. We might not pay that sort of money for Nunez (it would depend if we rated him that highly) but I wouldn’t be surprised if we paid that much if we want someone badly enough.

13.) 08 Jun 2022 10:51:54
On the contrary VVVV, i think we have every chance of signing him. I don't see how, from a professional standpoint, he could choose anyone else bar Us or Real Madrid. He's already been quoted as wanting Champions league football which we can offer. Newcastle and Man U can't, let alone be guaranteed of top 6!. We have plenty to be optimistic about. He's had a taste of the Anfield life, we have a few south Americans already that can help him settle, Klopp has the hots for him, we have the money to compete, and he's exactly what we need. Oh and according to what i have read, we are preparing a bid (no idea on fee though) .

14.) 08 Jun 2022 11:15:41
Incredible Bulk, my feeling is that we’d not be drawn into a bidding war between those two as they’re likely to just keep going and going, which is why I feel we’d walk away from it. I genuinely believe we were in for Tchouameni but Madrid acted quicker than we did. I think our window of opportunity existed while they were still trying for Mbappe. Still, if we end up getting Nunez and maybe Sangare that’s two positions sorted.

15.) 08 Jun 2022 11:39:22
@VVVV I think we acted for Tchouameni but he has always wanted Madrid, its had nothing to do with us really, I’d pick Spain over England too lol. Just like Tchouameni to Madrid there was no bidding war, same with Virgil to us, he only wanted us and look where he is. Sometimes a players desire just outright cancels a bidding war. He wants CL, he wants us, he doesn’t want United or Newcastle. We can live in hope for now. Plenty to be optimistic about! YNWA.

16.) 08 Jun 2022 11:31:28
I think this bidding war thing is just something that someone has put out and the press have just jumped on it to use as a discussion point to get clicks. Although, yes i agree that we would not want to get into a bidding war, we have a very strong hand at the table. Whoever bids the most does not necessarily get the player anyway, as don't they still have to want to play for them? I'm also reading that the new agent of Nunez is also the same as Diaz and Jota. The stars are aligning my friend :)

17.) 08 Jun 2022 12:33:41
Feel its a move that needs the player to push for it. Benfica fairly will go for the highest offer they get. Hope Anfield and Klopp's flirting had an effect on him. Somehow can't see Nunez at Newcastle likely PSG or Madrid. If he wants to play in the PL and UCL next season Liverpool are the best choice me thinks.

Evening all, I remember links with Barella of inter a while back. Just seen his name mentioned again! Any chance?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Didn’t think so but wanted to check as he’s top notch! Cheers for reply 👌🏽.

2.) 02 Jun 2022 20:23:29
Good Evening Ed002, I know you must be tiresome with posters asking about player X or Z, so may i ask you do LFC use the renowned and infamous " Moneyball " transfer criteria when they look to sign player X or Z.

P. S. You made a "grown up man" Cry! (Me) when you replied to an earlier post saying Fabio Vieria would not be coming to Anfield, still got me tears in my eyes!

{Ed002's Note - Moneyball is a technique used in baseball recruitment, not soccer ball.}

3.) 02 Jun 2022 21:19:00
I believe our transfer team use the amazeballs technique, 007.

4.) 02 Jun 2022 22:01:02
Hello BEDdicus, You Naughty Boy! i didn't know you were like that, "disgusted" will send you some Bromide in the post.

5.) 03 Jun 2022 21:41:43
Hello again Zeddicus, i have to concede defeat with your above post, i have been totally "walloped" and very embarrassed by a very good natured quip "WELL DONE", it even got 10 thumbs up, i haven't reached ten all season.

I note that Zeddicus means Strong.

Does that mean "Strong as a FORTNIGHT", if it does that's "TWO WEEK "!

Malen to Dortmund is on! Was looking forward to seeing him in Liverpool Red!

RedTodd

1.) 14 Jul 2021 18:08:12
Dortmund will then go and flog him for 80-100m in a couple of years, odds on that we end up buying Traore who scores one goal in three years and then can’t get shot of him. Standard.

2.) 14 Jul 2021 18:20:56
Vvvv how can you say that when we have bought, Salah, Mane, Bobby and Jota in recent years who's values have obviously rocketed, did they score one goal in three years? If we buy Tralee then I trust our transfer policy, I think you are totally wrong pal.

3.) 14 Jul 2021 18:43:05
Traore's value will not rocket in the future. I would stake everything i have on that. In my opinion if we were to purchase him it would be most he would ever be worth.

4.) 14 Jul 2021 18:39:02
Mighty reds, you trust that traore would work out? Have you watched him play? If we went for him as an option up front, I would definitely I question our transfer policy at that point. I’ll wait and see who we bring in, let’s just hope it’s not yet another injury prone player.

5.) 14 Jul 2021 18:46:53
Traore isn't realistic anyway, yes Klopp is interested but Wolves value him far higher than he is worth. There's no way we are paying silly money for him.

6.) 14 Jul 2021 18:52:38
Mighty Reds, we’ve also bought Keita, Ox, Minamino, Shaqiri, and around the Firmino era, Allen, Borini, Markovic, Balotelli and others who’ve not been successful, so let’s not jerk ourselves off as transfer gurus. In specific reference to Traore, literally he’s never scored more than 5 goals in a league campaign and he’s shown nothing to suggest he’s going to start scoring shedloads (and that 5 goal haul was in the Championship) and even Harry Wilson has more career goals than him, in fact he’s scored as many as Traore has in the premier league in one awful season at Bournemouth. So even Harry Wilson is more effective.

Just remember when Chelsea are after Chiesa and Haaland, City are after Kane and Grealish, United have signed Sancho and are after Camavinga, we’re tyre kicking around Traore and Sanches, neither of whom have any business at a champions league club. Underwhelmed is an understatement.

If you can honestly say the idea of Traore running up the line and either running the ball out of play, blasting the ball into the kop or over hitting aimless crosses game in game out fill you with excitement, then fair play to you. But it just makes me roll my eyes and think ‘is that the best we can do? ’.

8.) 14 Jul 2021 19:27:25
Vvvv I would argue that the Ox has been a success, mini we will make money on and some others were before Klopp, listen I am not saying Traore is the perfect answer but I think 25 mill will be the kind of area we look in, I actually think Traore is more about Assists and he missed Jimenez massively last season, as Silva is just a young lad who's game is completely different, I also think Klopo would get the best out of him, he made the Spain squad so he's obviously not that bad a player, but like you say there are better options, but I think we owe it as fans to trust our transfer policy.

9.) 14 Jul 2021 19:23:59
How much do you think we could sell Firmino for?

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps €40M or so but clubs are looking for younger players and a buyer won't be easy to find.}

10.) 14 Jul 2021 20:01:58
Are we talking about the same Traore here? You think Traore might go for £25 million? Clearly deluded.

11.) 14 Jul 2021 20:17:59
I don’t think Ox has been a success because he’s had so much time out through injury. At best the jury is still out,

As for Traore, we’ve no one like Jiminez for Traore aim for, we literally have no out and out centre forwards at the club. Not one. Which would imply that he’d stink from the outset as he’s relying on a target man in the 18 yard box like Jiminez. And getting the Spain squad isn’t any sign of quality any more, let’s face it, they play Morata up front and he’s got to be one of the poorest forwards in European football.

Not even Klopp could make a success out of Traore for the simple reason that he’s got no end product. Scoring goals is a problem for us and bringing in a player like Traore doesn’t help that because he neither creates them or scores them. One semi good season is all that he’s had in his career and at his age he’s as good as he’s going to get, which in this case he isn’t good enough to even considered as mediocre.

12.) 14 Jul 2021 20:21:14
25M mighty reds, are you having a laugh, absolutely zero chance would Wolves accept that. They would want more than double that based on what Ed002 has previously said.

He's not worth anywhere near what he would cost and 25M would be rejected immediately.

13.) 14 Jul 2021 20:24:55
I know one thing, if Liverpool had circa £200m to spend on transfers this Summer, we would not be buying Harry Kane and Jack Grealish.
Decent players, yes, but worth about half that, for the pair, in my opinion.
I don’t know how people are handing Man City the league title because they may sign those two. Ridiculous.

14.) 14 Jul 2021 20:36:46
Doesn't really seem wanted by wolves (at least when NSS was there), and contract has one less year on it. I reckon someone (not necessarily us) could get him for £25m this window. Now, whether he's worth it to us, or indeed if wolves would accept another staggered payment from us on top of Jota, is another discussion.

15.) 14 Jul 2021 20:39:26
Anyone who doesn't think the club have been superb in the transfer mark since Klopp came nearly six years ago is having a huge giraffe. its the main reason we are competing with teams who have spent far more than us.

16.) 14 Jul 2021 20:52:40
His current contract ends in June 2023, but still the question has to be asked, why waste money on a forward who doesn’t score or create goals?
