We are now linked to Julian Draxler by the Daily Express. What a load of rubbish. Good player though.

Redwin

1.) 06 Jul 2016 11:25:45
I can't recall the express ever reporting anything with any truth to it!

2.) 06 Jul 2016 12:33:27
Very true Ace 👍🏻.

3.) 06 Jul 2016 13:23:53
Is the any reliable news papers these days. We must have been linked with 300 players this season.

4.) 06 Jul 2016 16:13:33
The express said we were going to have the hottest summer on record!

5.) 07 Jul 2016 07:44:15
I don't see the big deal about Draxler, looks decent but nothing special.

6.) 08 Jul 2016 12:28:09
Liverpool linked to another player in Germany? Who'd have thought it. According to other sites Arsenal are the ones going to buy him. Wonder how long it will take for everyone in a Euros SF side with an agent to be about to sign for another club.

08 Jul 2013 01:16:02
Have arsenal had a bid rejected for Suarez?. Also I read psg has signed cavani if this true what does this mean for Suarez and Real Madrid. Was cavani not there main target? {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid had let go of interest in Cavani for all practical purposes.}

Is Gotze trying to get a move to us with his interview. Sounds like it to me. Not sure if he suits our style.

Redwin

1.) 10 Jun 2018 21:17:14
Gotze is no longer the player he once was. In fact, he has become even worse due to the illness he suffered, one that threatened his career. He is happy playing again and that should be where it stands, IMO. His time has passed.

2.) 10 Jun 2018 21:27:45
I hope we stay well clear cos unfortunately I don't think mentally an physically he is up for a full on season in the premiership. However the other German draxler I think could b dynamite he has all the ability going, vision, technique, acceleration, the platform we can provide him could really see him thrive.

3.) 10 Jun 2018 21:37:05
Yeah draxler would be decent. I think the "nice" atmosphere of melwood could be enough to keep him focused on his football.

4.) 10 Jun 2018 22:05:56
His talent is being wasted on the bench at psg, with us he could get better and better plus he is German which I like, I would love Timo Werner but can't see that happening anytime soon.

5.) 11 Jun 2018 02:11:05
Draxler would be a major coup imo. His price would be less than Fekir and there is a lot of untapped potential there. His first touch is exquisite and his shots are precise and clean. It's his attitude and consistency that needs working on and who better than Klopp to help him with that?

09 Jun 2018 10:31:54
Would love to know what's in that Barcelona water, offers close to £60m for cillisen their back up GK, they must be having a laugh, they only signed him 2 years ago for a 1/ 4 of that and he doesn't play but 4 times as valuable.
Why do Spanish team put these massive prices on their junk squad players. Crazy.

Redwin

1.) 09 Jun 2018 11:09:27
There is no obligation for club's to pay crazy prices.

08 Jun 2018 16:12:37
Apparently Mother Fekir passed a medical according to James Pearce i read just now.
Hope so.

Redwin

1.) 08 Jun 2018 17:03:11
Hope so, one minute it’s Fekir on, next it’s Fekir off!

2.) 08 Jun 2018 18:37:44
Love it bandit.

04 Jun 2018 09:33:43
Can confirmed, all the best! You showed us a lot of potential but never quite lived up to it,
I believe the Italian league will suit you well!

Redwin

1.) 04 Jun 2018 09:39:12
I always liked him. Sad to see him go. Wish him all the best.

2.) 04 Jun 2018 09:42:50
Good luck to him, he's played his part in the progression of the team.
That overhead kick versus Watford is my highlight of his time at the club.

3.) 04 Jun 2018 09:52:19
A handful of good memories but ultimately he was never consistently good enough, lacked effort in his last 12 months, and ran away when there was suggestion he might have to compete for his place in the side.

It's no loss in my brutally honest opinion. Wish him all the best for the future though as his first few years he was a hard worker and never moaned about Rodgers wasting his talents and stifling his development in a back 3.

4.) 04 Jun 2018 10:04:19
Good luck to the lad, I think he'll do well over there.

5.) 04 Jun 2018 10:22:26
Agree with that summing up MK, will look a better player in Italy too. Will suit his slower style of play.

6.) 04 Jun 2018 10:23:44
Brutally honest would mean, he turned like milk, dwelled on the ball, slow acceleration, 0 positional sense, weak in the air for his size and not fit enough for someone his age.
I will commend his commitment and above all else his maturity in how he’s gone about the last 12 months. A model professional and I do wish him all the best.

7.) 04 Jun 2018 10:25:47
I agree Salah. The pace will suit him much better. His lack of mobility and agility hampers him in the Premier League. He'll have a good career.

Plus he will be playing for the only consistently legitimate title contenders in Serie A. So he is guaranteed medals. Personally I'd find medals with Bayern, PSG or Juventus to be hollow achievements but it is something to show the grandkids I suppose.

8.) 04 Jun 2018 10:52:41
Will he get into Juves side? they're midfield is much stronger than ours and he wasn’t a guaranteed starter here when everyone was fully fit.

9.) 04 Jun 2018 11:02:21
"Personally I'd find medals with Bayern, PSG or Juventus to be hollow achievements but it is something to show the grandkids I suppose. "

Thats pretty short hand, just because he left liverpool doesn't mean you would underrate every league.
Bayern and Juventus are very big clubs with history as good as Liverpool and presently doing much better than.
winning any league requires effort and commitment. and as a professional player you will want to win these creds and medals.

Emre decided he wants to continue his football journey elsewhere and that is his decision. he fulfilled his contract his obligations to the club and was always professional and dignified in his conduct. he played effectively on the pitch and was the best midfielder on several occassions.
I hate these LFC tinted glasses everyone on here keeps on. Its not all about LFC and not everyone will feel the best at LFC.
Mr Klopp had an honest chat with Can and Can made his decision. Would you fight for your place in a club (even if its your favourite one) if your manager told you he wasn't going to start you every game because you don't suit his style of play?

10.) 04 Jun 2018 11:41:57
Ak I'm not saying the leagues are poor standard hence why I didn't mention Celtic, Porto or Basel. They win their leagues because the competition is currently atrocious. The problem in Italy, France and Germany is not that everyone else is poor, but that the top team in each division is absolutely miles ahead of the rest consistently for a long time because of Financial spending power.

My biggest fear is that Man City do this for the next 5 years and make the Premier League boring too. I wonder if their IS any other league in Europe who have had 3 different winners and 3 different runners up in the last 3 seasons? Leicester and Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs, Man City and Man U.

For me, a trophy means more if you had competition of an equal standard. I'm not saying the likes of Dortmund, Napoli or Monaco are bad teams. I'm sorry if it was misinterpreted in that way. They will win the odd title or cup. They are fighting against financial powerhouses though. If I put an acca bet on right now for Bayern, PSG and Juventus to all win the league next year, I'd be amazed if the odds were as low as evens.

11.) 04 Jun 2018 12:15:32
Obviously that should say Porto or Benfica as they have traded the title between one another for the last 16 years. Although come to think of It, Basel have been pretty dominant too!

I just hope the Premier League never goes back to what it was between 1996 and 2004. Just watching two teams trade the title for nearly a decade is depressing. Thank God Atletico Madrid keep Spanish football interesting.

12.) 04 Jun 2018 13:19:40
I know it doesn’t work that way but I’d love to think he was only offered 4 years contract rather than 5 because it took him a year to sign!

13.) 04 Jun 2018 13:21:26
Scored some crackers did Can, a few big goals too. I thought he was technically gifted for a physical player. Looking on the good side of his game. Smug celebration that I would hate to be on the wrong end of.

14.) 04 Jun 2018 13:59:14
mk, I didn't find LFC dominating the league in the 70/ 80's boring at all!

15.) 04 Jun 2018 14:34:41
I get what you are saying the leagues aren't competitive but that is not actually what you said in your initial post. You said there is no fun/ pride in winning medals in a league which probably isn't competitive which is not true. Winning is winning. Medals are medals. Just because you didn't have enough competition or resistance doesn't make it any less at all. Also It's not like Bayern or Juventus don't have competition. Hell serie A was the only league that went down to the wire this year. Also on player level there are so many top level players at Bayern psg Juventus you are competing with them too. If you are star midfielder in a club that is winning consistently you are considered among the top players worldwide in the sport. Brings you more media attention and brands sponsors too if one is into that. So professionally it's a well thought out move for emre can.
He has a wise head and has been definitely advised well. And he didn't drag the clubs name in gutters haggling over transfers throwing is baby toys. These are little things, and apart from pjanic I don't see any midfielder Juventus has who is ahead of can.
Can was a more than decent player that played wherever it was required for him to play and did the job for us. Definitely deserves a heartfelt goodbye in my books.

16.) 04 Jun 2018 15:14:46
I know what you are saying buddy but it comes down to the individual which is why I said "Personally" rather than state it as fact.

Fully appreciate some people may feel differently about winning. I just think winning is less special if it is a minimum expectation. That is why the Champions League means so much to Juventus, PSG and Bayern. Winning the league is a prerequisite for them.

The other Kane, oh yer Harry! Didn’t he get started late too, not everyone develops the same. Might take a few more years so all we care about is talent and him taking chances when they arrive.

20 is nothing, still got 15 years decent football in him maybe more!

Prefer nike to new balance and warrior! We have had some dreadful kits over the years with Reebok and Adidas, absolutely shocking. Nice all red plainish Nike kit will be good.
Nice to have the largest sporting brand in the world affiliated and paying handsomely, nice to see the club doing so well financially in terms of revenue! We do lack still to United but making strides to become the Nº1 both on and off the pitch.

Mother Fekir, atleast the boxing on to cheer me up! Could see this coming, seemed to taking a long time and kind of strange the noise from their predefined, hopefully we continue to pursue the player and up the offer a bit YNWA.

Competition for places is what we need and there is plenty of games to be played this year.

He has been outstanding along with big Virg and Joe.

Doesn't seem a Madrid type manager, they go through managers like no ones business so doesn't fit his profile i don't believe. Could be wrong however, money always talks.

personally i would be devastated, best manager we have had in a awfully long time!
