Haaland gona score a bucket load.

Roro1892

{Ed025's Note - I really hope so roro.. ?

1.) 07 Aug 2022 18:45:33
Yes he will but so will Darvin and Salah.

2.) 07 Aug 2022 19:09:30
cant see us 'winning at a canter against a strangely passive West Ham, who barely threatened' when we play them.

3.) 07 Aug 2022 19:34:19
also City will beat Fulham 6-0 at Craven Cottage. We can't leave it to others, we need to match their results and then make sure we beat them ourselves. Havent done it in the leauge since 2019 either. Its a tough opponent, great battles ahead.

4.) 07 Aug 2022 21:14:45
jeez, the gloom and boomers are all out. One match and the world is ending. Does anyone remember the start that city got off to last year? give it a rest already. we will be fine.

5.) 08 Aug 2022 04:21:14
Yep, Matchday 1 in the books and let's just pack it in and give City the title.

Yesterday had Nunez started and what Diaz showed the game would have been completely different. Mitrovic went down for a weak penalty where he initiated the contact. I think after the last two performances, Klopp would have to justify not starting Nunez from now on. Nunez, Diaz and Salah are the new front three.

6.) 07 Aug 2022 21:56:43
It’s weird that an Everton supporter would want a City player to score lots of goals.

{Ed025's Note - I have had a bet that he will be top scorer mate..

7.) 08 Aug 2022 08:31:42
Not being funny but if he expects teams to roll over like West Ham he's in for a shock juries still out on all the love for him but if he takes the limelight off our boys he can have it, I just wonder when the goals dry up can he stand the media onslaught.

8.) 07 Aug 2022 21:03:48
Please tell us ‘the powers that be’ are reconsidering bringing in a top quality starting midfielder Eds? I mean finishing second is fine, but seems like there’s too much sentiment for our older players, and up against hungry young midfielders like yesterday, our intensity is lacking. Ironic given Lijnder’s new book.

{Ed002's Note - You know what Klopp has said.}

9.) 08 Aug 2022 09:06:01
He’s a very good player no doubt but in that City team he just look so out of place. They are all quick and illusive and he moves like Andy Carrol. He’s fast enough in a straight line but has the turning circle of an artic.
Don’t listen to the pundits either, they are clueless. He couldn’t get into the game yesterday for large parts and West Ham were hardly trying. The MOTM and ensuing ‘unplayable’ comments are just way overboard.
Look at the difference between Fulham and West Ham. Fulham we’re on us from minute one, never let us settle. West Ham sat deep and allowed City to play. If Fulham had done that to us we’d have won easily but they didn’t and fully deserved a point, maybe more. West Ham conceded the game and got what they deserved.
Let’s just wait until the season gets going it won’t be that easy for Haaland or City every week.

10.) 08 Aug 2022 09:14:06
Sadly Thunderbird for some fans it’s a case of celebrating a ten at the top doing well rather than your own team if it means stopping your neighbours being successful. Small club club mentality really. I wouldn’t like being in that situation myself.

11.) 08 Aug 2022 09:53:10
With the World Cup in the middle of the season, I don't think predictions can take their usual form. There will be many shocks and teams without too many international players getting extended mid-season breaks and team training.

12.) 08 Aug 2022 11:54:16
Whereas it’s silly to write the season off after one game, it’s ominous that City dispatched West Ham so easily away as it is a hard game by any reasonable definition, whilst we started by making the sort of mistake that cos us dearly last year by failing to win a game that we should be winning if we have any ambitions at winning the title, the thing that also was sitting was how poor and sluggish we looked at times.

Regrettably City are likely to win at a cantor if Haaland does that every week as you have to be 100% perfect to beat City over a season and quite frankly we’re not, and I suspect City will dominate the league for the next few years until he decides he’s had enough of rain, which will turn the premier league into a farmers league in the process.

Whereas I’m not writing the season off, it would take a serious injury crisis at City to prevent them from winning as they’d have battered Fulham whilst we toiled to get a point.

13.) 08 Aug 2022 12:20:57
Turn the premier league into a farmers league?

Harry what are you’re talking about.

14.) 08 Aug 2022 15:06:27
Dare to dream. Did u not follow football in the 90s? Of course ed025 wants Haaland to have a great season he's an Everton fan. City biggest challengers this season will most likely be his biggest rivals so of he wants Haaland to do well. Same way in the 90s when we were out of it I cheered on any striker who played for the team challenging man utd.
Haaland looked lethal yesterday but yes questions still remain and West ham were terrible. Nunez has looked lethal himself and still questions still remain for him also. Gona be a good battle.

15.) 08 Aug 2022 16:02:24
Disagree as Liverpool-MU is the biggest rivalry in english football. Everton fans are generally bitter their club is not Liverpool. So most of their time is spent being anti Liv rather than pro Eve. I mean in general and not Ed025 specifically. Its a sad state to be in as football fans.

16.) 08 Aug 2022 18:52:07
I still think we win the league this season.
For that reason Harry, the Refs gifted it to them last season mate.
It’s bad for the premier league to see that shambles parade outside the Etihad celebrating the trophy, nobody hates them, nobody supports them. It’s like nobody is winning the league.
They won’t get the false decisions and dodgy handballs this season because like you said, the Refs are turning it into the Uber Eats League and everyone’s turning their attention to the UCL (even City)

Alright eds and reds, have a question. Do football clubs get money from the sales of shirts? I thought they did but after speaking to some friends I've heard it's actually a very small percentage of clubs that get money from shirt sales? Which makes liverpools deal with Nike more appealing.

Roro1892

{Ed025's Note - that would depend on the volume sold roro mate..

1.) 14 Jun 2021 19:32:34
Cheers Ed mate. How u been recently mate? All good I hope bro.

{Ed025's Note - no too bad thanks roro mate...thanks for asking..

2.) 14 Jun 2021 19:34:13
As far as I am away only a small handful of sides have an agreement like ours. Initially £30m plus 20% of sales. Equates to around £70m total. The more Nike sell the more we make it really comes down to success on the pitch. If we are successful sales will automatically increase. We could also do with Nike upping their game as well.

3.) 14 Jun 2021 21:57:25
I’m pretty sure standard deals clubs make nothing apart from what is sold at the club shops which makes stories about players paying their transfer fees in shirt sales nonsense.
Liverpools current deal with Nike is different, they took a much smaller base figure for a cut of the profit, with C.V. and the poor season we’ve just had that might not be the best decision.

4.) 14 Jun 2021 19:45:39
That's good to hear Ed, I was worrying about u after Ancelotti left, know you Evertonains had your hopes on him, but as I told my bro all year I never seen any improvement.
Cheers Mark mate, my friends were saying the same. Seems great deal we have touched for although I wouldn't spend 100 hock on a shirt.

16 Oct 2018 00:46:57
Alright eds, any interest from us in Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella?

Roro1892

{Ed001's Note - he has come out publicly and said he would like to join us, hence the reported interest. He has been monitored but we have shown no signs of actually doing any more, as of yet, than keeping an eye on his progress.}

1.) 16 Oct 2018 09:19:26
Is he any good Ed?

{Ed001's Note - very highly rated mate, not seen anything of him yet to judge him sorry.}

2.) 16 Oct 2018 12:02:05
Cheers ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

09 Sep 2022 19:35:43
Was going to wolves game tomorrow, lost out on a good few quid with hotels and flights but not to worry. Hopefully we use this break to sort some of our issues out.

Roro1892

1.) 09 Sep 2022 22:05:03
Will we be thrown to the "Wolves" again tomorrow! hope not?

LFC 6 games played 2 won equals a win percentage rate of 33%.

Wolves only won one game this season, two defeats, minus goal difference so far and more deficit tomorrow hopefully.

Must win tomorrow, Chelsea will be away next Sunday at 4.30pm fortnight International break then follows.

Only Buck Rodgers and LampPost yet to win a game this season.

Ed025 when are ye going to win one, and don't say ye should of won the Derby cos ye never, do ye use the wooden spoon for ye corn flakes of a morning!

2.) 09 Sep 2022 22:54:51
Would someone like to tell 007 that we aren't playing tomorrow as the game as been postponed.

3.) 09 Sep 2022 23:16:58
007 there's no football tomorrow.

4.) 10 Sep 2022 00:45:12
Oh that’s just embarrassing.

5.) 10 Sep 2022 07:38:45
I like his effort ??. Shhhh, nobody tell him its off, see if he catches on ?. I bet Bond still waits for Des Lynam and the Vidi Printer on BBC ?.

6.) 09 Sep 2022 22:54:01
Having cancelled tomorrow then surely next weekend is cancelled as it's ten days of mourning, that then means england national team games off. Also means ed025 ye will have the wooden spoon till Red October?

{Ed025's Note - I have just ordered a much bigger spoon bond. The one I have presently is far too small for this current crisis mate.. ?

7.) 10 Sep 2022 08:47:15
I don’t really understand the postponement.

Like obviously I understand why but surely it’s either sport on or sport off? The cricket, golf and rugby is all going ahead.

Just seems a bit ridiculous for some sports to carry on and others not to. I personally have no issue with the postponement as a sign of respect but do it across the board then.

8.) 10 Sep 2022 09:48:41
And what happens when football returns at Christmas and the weather takes a turn for the worse and games are postponed.

9.) 10 Sep 2022 10:02:01
I think the postponement is the fear of what may be said rather then respect, not just Liverpool but across the board.

Imagine if the games went ahead and there were several instances of chants against her or not respecting the minutes silence. The game would then have all the wrong attention.

I could be wrong and I may be doing the football authorities a disservice but I do feel it’s a face saving exercise rather than a respectful one. Which is why other sports and events seem to be going ahead.

10.) 10 Sep 2022 10:18:57
T2,SR, TIR, Just proves you don't go out for a few ale's on a Friday, sit in and watch the telly all night!

ThunderTird2, Embarrassing?, playing with Thunderbirds at your age is more embarrassing, Tracy Beaker and ye Puppets
Miss PENELOPE!

Something probably in the "Red", so can't go out for lack of funds!, Irish Rover watch ye don't "Blow Over" (ye might have to go to a live match then? )

Unapologetically negative, "Thanks" for the shout out done "majestically" not for ill gain or cheap humour, there is a positive for the break Jordan will hopefully be back after the International break and with last seasons form fingers crossed!, also gives extra recuperation for Konate, Kelleher and Ramsay etc and a day off for everyone at LFC (i wonder if the owners will pay the hospitality staff and all support helpers for today's home game, it would be a nice gesture? )

Sadly it means i won't be able to take me regular foodstuffs for the Food Bank at the Ground, good news though they get a double header for the next home game, whenever that is little boys and "GIRLS" (see above) .

11.) 10 Sep 2022 10:30:30
Virtue signalling of the highest order.

12.) 10 Sep 2022 10:51:12
I have no issues with the postponement but as football stops the UK seems to go on with their day to day lives and especially work.

The fact it could be 2 weekends postponed I feel sorry for the nationwide fans of all teams up and down the country who have already spent money to attend games and might not get all of that money back in what is already a cost of living crisis in the country.

I was offered tickets for today and Ajax on Tue so I’ll have to await further announcement on whether our CL game goes ahead as it all comes at a significant cost to us fans who have to arrange logistics early to try and avoid spiralling costs.

13.) 10 Sep 2022 11:02:49
If authorities are concerned that fans may not observe the minutes silence then have a minutes applause to remember the life of our Queen. I am sure the Royal Family would appreciate the gesture.

14.) 10 Sep 2022 11:05:43
O Many, Many (unmoral posts)?

Sarcasm of the highest order, in your case?

"Sincerely" hope you and all the posters on here, don't ever have to visit a Food Bank for help or aid.

15.) 10 Sep 2022 11:06:15
007
I don't understand the majority of your post.

16.) 10 Sep 2022 11:38:55
Purely on Liverpool, we’ve hit the jackpot the games being postponed.
Im hearing Europe will go ahead, hopefully Anfield will drag us through again.

17.) 10 Sep 2022 11:44:25
"Lady Gaga", Stick to what ye do incredibly well "Singing".

If you don't understand this post then Sing it!

Oh Many, Many satirically he "HUMS" instead!

18.) 10 Sep 2022 13:19:59
"THANKS" Bond ?.

19.) 10 Sep 2022 14:52:09
Unmoral, Bondy?

20.) 10 Sep 2022 20:33:45
007 I was referring to the games being cancelled as virtue signalling. When I posted my comment there was nothing about food banks. It was just an unfortunate act that it got posted where it did.

21.) 10 Sep 2022 21:23:07
Good on you 007 for the food bank work. I am not a rich man but I try and help out myself when I can. Keep up the good work.

03 Sep 2022 19:57:47
Ed025 if your about mate hope u enjoyed the game. I thought draw was fair result, we had a lot of chances but again yous had your fair share too. What you think yourself pal?

Roro1892

{Ed025's Note - I thought it was a decent game roro. The keepers were outstanding and even though it was a good time to play the reds we showed good spirit mate and I think the draw was a fair result..

1.) 04 Sep 2022 08:52:59
Ed025 I thought it was a fair result and and one of the better derby I have seen in a while from your lot getting stuck in without going over the top a bit more to how they use to be.
I thought Klopp got it wrong for us should have started Bobby and in a derby a midfield of Elliott and Carvalho was never going to be physical enough.

{Ed025's Note - it was one of the better ones grino. Your 2 young lads found it hard but it’s a great learning curve for them mate and they have done well for me. You have a number of players not firing on all cylinders at the moment and it was a good time yes to play you..

2.) 04 Sep 2022 10:09:46
We were there for the taking but a draw was a fair result.
Thickford was in inspired form but they had a goal ruled out by VAR and how More Pay didn't score I'll never know.

3.) 04 Sep 2022 10:28:22
I was super impressed with the way that Everton did not time waste this time, and I agree it could have gone either way. Looks like Frank is getting something together. I feel they can finish in the bottom half.

4.) 04 Sep 2022 12:06:47
Spot on, Ed25. Either team could have won it as much as either team could have lost it. In the end, we take the point and move on and try to find some consistency cos we ain’t great in any phase of the gale right now.

5.) 04 Sep 2022 13:42:34
Credit to Everton for not wasting time in a game they should have been trying to win. It didn't work for them against Leeds in midweek though when they took the lead.
I find time wasting a waste of time anyway.

6.) 04 Sep 2022 13:49:02
Sorry but I don’t believe frank is getting anything together, it was a derby, so if the players aren’t motivated enough by that fact, they deserve to be dropped. Now that they won’t be playing us for a while, I can see everton playing the same dire foot they have been.

7.) 04 Sep 2022 14:12:59
To be fair, Everton have played quite well this season, or at least much better than the previous one. They still lack a proper goalscorer though but their defence and midfield looks much better.

8.) 04 Sep 2022 14:12:59

01 Sep 2022 19:40:28
Ed025, u looking forward to the game on Saturday mate?
Nephew is going over to support yous. He's a young Evertonian, he will learn mate. Lol.

Roro1892

{Ed025's Note - I don’t look forward to derbies these days roro. The last one I went to was quite a few years back mate and I found the atmosphere very toxic fro both sets of supporters so I vowed to swerve them mate. Plus we usually get a good rodgering.. ?

1.) 01 Sep 2022 20:05:39
Ed25 hope u well? How do u see everton approaching game, by that I mean teams are having a lot of joy at minute against us sitting deep and hitting us on break, and in gordon and gray use definitely have 2 that can do damage that way. But do u see the goodison crowd putting up with everton doing that? basciallly parking the bus. I've no doubt that would happen at anfield not so sure at goodison.

{Ed025's Note - our bus has flat tyres and no windows digger. I expect we will get stuck in and try to upset your rhythm mate. It won’t be pretty and expect Liverpool to beat us because they have superior quality..

2.) 01 Sep 2022 20:29:13
We seem to be having a 2021 hangover 025 so will probably give you a goal start hows that?

{Ed025's Note - I will take it jonesy. You couldn’t make it 2could you mate..?

3.) 01 Sep 2022 20:46:39
Speaking of rodgering. Brendan looks desperate to get sacked next.

{Ed025's Note - he’s on the precipice I feel RS..

4.) 01 Sep 2022 20:55:09
Sad that it's came to that mate. Always the friendly Derby for me any way. Think yous should have some hope going into it mate but as an Evertonian u will know its always the hope that kills u mate.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely roro..

5.) 01 Sep 2022 21:23:21
So Ed025,
Are you hoping for us to field an in-form Bobby or well-rested Bonehead up front? And don’t give us any ‘in an ideal world, both’.

6.) 01 Sep 2022 23:02:37
Ed 25 you was raving about Gomes and celebrated a nil nil against us, saying that he is the next big thing and he will dominate the league, oops he's not proved that?

{Ed025's Note - sometimes things just don’t pan out how you expect MR. Like you thought Nunez was the next lewandoski. Turns out he’s the new Andy Carroll..

7.) 02 Sep 2022 01:47:56
I vote 94.

8.) 02 Sep 2022 01:49:41
That being my entry for the number of dives He-man Gordon makes on Saturday.

28 Aug 2022 12:51:58
Did anyone see Harvey Elliotts interview for lfctv after the game yesterday? He near broke down when talking about his granny who died during the week but the young lad held it together brilliantly.

It was a real reminder that these players are just normal like us with their own problems and troubles. I just wish some people would remember this b4 they run to the Internet to badmouth or insult them.

Roro1892

1.) 28 Aug 2022 13:35:11
Well said, Roro. I am with you.

2.) 28 Aug 2022 14:25:17
Most criticism they get is based on their performances or behaviour. I don't condone any personal abuse. But dealing with scrutiny, high pressure and unhappy fans is part of the payoff for them getting paid so excessively. If they want all hugs and kisses, maybe they should go for a job that has a couple less zeros on the pay cheque.

3.) 28 Aug 2022 15:05:48
Well criticism is fine if its constructive. Insults or abuse isn't and how many zeros he has on his pay cheque really make no difference on that account.

4.) 28 Aug 2022 15:28:08
We should only be badmouthing Utd, Chelsea, City Arsenal, Spurs and Everton players, managers or owners, officials, VAR, Naby, Any poster that mentions a transfer and negative posters after draws or losses.

Anyone else is bang out of order.

5.) 28 Aug 2022 15:20:05
Why what job offers hugs and kisses all the time?

6.) 28 Aug 2022 17:08:38
The oldest profession, oh mane mane.

7.) 28 Aug 2022 19:23:01
Actually, I was just telling myself, all of you guys are a lot of fun to read. When it's not about football. ?.

8.) 28 Aug 2022 19:24:20
JK, you forgot the biggest villains; referees.

9.) 28 Aug 2022 19:43:48
Aray I’ve got refs in there mate. Officials.

10.) 28 Aug 2022 22:32:18
I’ve worked in factories for minimum wage and been abused by management for my poor performance.
At least I could say your getting what you pay for?.

11.) 29 Aug 2022 00:55:24
Who criticises anyone for one bad performance? Or writes a team off after three bad performances?
There will be people at the club that will know that Elliot's grandmother passed away and they can help decide whether he should play or not. If they get it wrong and Elliot gets it wrong, they can be criticised.
If there are personal reasons for a player not performing, maybe they shouldn't be playing.
