Mane moving to Bayern perfectly shows the business model at LFC. Bring in a good player, make him world class, get the best years of their career and then move on. This isn't new as it used to be the model in the 70s and 80s.
We have got our money back on him with potentially a small profit and he has given great moments. Now we need to repeat the trick as Klopp starts building another team.

But I’ll say it again and again we need a statue of Mane, Bobby & Mo altogether in and around Anfield. On his day Mane was simply unplayable. Living legend, humanitarian and whatever super superlatives you wanna throw his way are not enough.

Both of my boys absolutely love mane! To the point that my 6 year old woke up at 1am the other morning sobbing is heart out saying mane can’t leave what are we going to do he’s my favourite! Bless him!

I think Diaz has already started mate! Never gives up! And we bought 1 of the two I wanted so far! Nunez as I think he never stops running and plays for the team with a clinical finish also! The other is ndomble wrong spelling but I just seem to like him! And spurs have no idea on how to use him!

The front three have been with us 5-6 seasons. Changes are good and will mean PL and CL defenders will have to start guessing again.
It was inevitable we would not be renewing all 3's contracts. We only need to look back at Gini's contract being allowed to expire.

All good things come to an end and you have to move with the times. I loved Mane but accept that he wanted a move and we have an absolute baller in Diaz.
What do we think will be the outcome gents of the other 2? For me if we’re looking at a big midfield signing next season can we afford to spend big whilst losing Salah on a free as well?
Personally I think Salah might extend and Bobby will either stay on reduced terms or leave on a free.

Rigsby, I'm all for tolerance and everything but if we're all here it's because we follow certain said (and unsaid) rules; intelligent, coherent and thought provoking discussion of football and football at Liverpool football club, in particular. I'd even add that it's a site for the fans and supporters of the club (or are we here to dump sh*t on the club all the time? ) . What you get from this man is a steady barrage of sarcasm, cynicism, false facts and assumptions, provocation, attention-seeking petulance and arrogance. Again, I'm all for tolerance of all, but how does anyone calculate that he belongs in this community? The Eds have said so many times that he kills threads and ruins debates and discussions wherever he goes, while posters are more vocal with pretty much the same conclusions. I understand that the Eds have their hands tied because this is a free site and pretty much anyone can come along, read, post, participate and contribute. It's just that most of us are really tired of this particular individual now (over 12 years for me reading this cr*p) . It's not by chance this site has grown by leaps and bounds. And all of it because of joint contribution of readers, posters and the Eds. (The Eds are selfless saints, but people like you and I, read and post and spend hours here too) . Uncle Bob, that's exactly what I've been thinking. Back in the day, we had a conveyor belt system. As soon as you were 30, you were out (the King being the exception) . The system broke down when Souness came in. The moving on of Mane is the right thing to do, Diaz, Jota and Nunez are young and ready to challenge for places. Whether they work out is up to them and Klopp but it the right system for continued success.
{Ed0666's Note - I’m not being funny but I would have much preferred Bayern coming in for Jota but let’s not open up that can of worms yet! Oh one more thing about Sadio that makes him a ledge is he had agreed terms and a contract with United and then got a call from Klopp and the rest is history. Oh how I’m gonna miss that blond streak but if I’m being honest I concur with you selling is the right thing to do in the circumstances. Last year of contract, diminishing capabilities and the player doesent want to be here anymore. Adieu our Senegalese metronome and go light up the Bundesliga

Agree with the burkey on Harry. I don't find his posts overly offensive. He might enjoy a bit of a wind up but it's always with a bit of banter.
He takes on a lot of abuse and he doesn't seem to react or just comes back with his own form of humour. That takes a strength and reserve. We all have different personalities but as long as your a good guy underneath then that's all that matters and Harry strikes me as good guy.
Some of the posts towards him above were over the top and I didn't enjoy reading them more than anything Harry has ever posted.

An interesting point be ed25 about this not being a great Liverpool team. This may be true but the reason we are doing well is that it is a very good squad. We have probably had better 11-13 players but I think the 22-24 man squad is at a high level who seem to be able to come in and out whilst still achieving results. They all know the system and what they are doing.
As a cohesive squad it is probably the best I have seen as evidenced by Davey Sulls team of non starters.
{Ed025's Note - its a grafting squad for me Bob, quite a lot of mediocrity in there mate but Klopp always seems to get a tune out of them, i cant think of more than 3 who get in the city side myself to be honest but your manager seems to be able to turn these pigs ears into silk purses, hell quite a few of them dont get in the Everton team for me, but you deserve everything you are getting this season because the players buy into the organisation and work ethic, and even though it is quite boring to watch at times you cant fault their application..
