Win lose or draw on sun, regardless, I'll still be a red, support the boys, and will back us every day because as life and history teaches us, nothing lasts forever, empires rise and fall, a supporter will always show support, goes without saying we all want to win, everything, standard but to paraphrase a famous blonde, if you can't support when we're in the bad times then you don't deserve to embrace with the good.

Cheers for that, I for one won't be supporting them any more if it's not atleast a 4-0 win.

Morning all,
Just a quick Congrata to Danny Ward and Huddersfield on reaching the play off final, I'd love Huddersfield to get promoted, he saved 2 pens aswell, one being the decider, great experience for the lad, by all accounts it appears he's done all he could do on his part to show lfc he's worthy of a shot, hope I'm wrong but he may have to move away to fulfil his potential, I personally at the very least if Huddersfield are promoted, look at one more season long loan to Huddersfield again, a years experience in the Premier league playing week in week out will do him wonders, well done Danny YNWA.

One more season on loan at Huddersfield before bringing him back to Anfield. Then we can move Migs on and have Karius and Ward fight for the GK position.
Migs has done well recently but still think Karius has a much higher ceiling and so does Ward.

Tuned in to watch it especially for our young lad, was up fist pumping at the second save, because it was after Sheffield were going for a turnaround! None of the saved panalties were especially good, but I did notice that about 4 out of 5 times Danny read the situation correctly and dived in the right corner. The celebrations afterward were immense, hope the Terriers make it through the final, they look like a proper collective!

3.) 18 May 2017 10:21:48
The way ward celebrated and sprinted up the pitch I'd think of shoving him on our left wing😜 Boy he wasn't half shifting lol.

I see a few odd mentions for him, I'd like to take a moment just to acknowledge the improvement in Mignolet, not for a minute suggesting it's either enough or makes up for previous indiscretions or that we shouldn't no longer be concerned in keeper area, we're quick to get on his back, he has clearly worked hard on the areas of improvement he needed, he just seems like a goalkeeper who finally believes in himself, still along way to go but credit where it's due, since Karius was replaced he seems to have grasped the chance and penny appears to have dropped, long may it continue.

Have to admit it, he really does look excellent at the moment. Seems like he's been given a good kick up the arse and is responding well. Long may it continue.

2.) 01 May 2017 22:44:58
Hes confidence is back . He have a calming presence.

3.) 01 May 2017 23:02:38
We had a bit of luck tonight with Watford hitting the crossbar.

3 points gained is the main thing but my heart hasn't slowed back down yet.

What a goal.

4.) 01 May 2017 23:53:32
He has improved, but his kicking is still poor, and nearly let one slip in. Glad he's playing better, I really am, but I think he has to go.

5.) 01 May 2017 23:57:22
Can't deny we had a little bit of luck Dermot but we also hit the bar, think we earned the "luck" as we were the better team and if only for the fact that Emres strike deserved to win any game on its own.

6.) 02 May 2017 07:58:46
He's been consistent and his decision making has been spot on. I'm happy if he keeps this up and there's no reason to spend money on a keeper in the summer. Confidence breeds confidence.

7.) 02 May 2017 08:16:31
We should have been out of sight had Lallana not bottled a sitter before they hit the bar. Fine margins, indeed.

Some strike that, let's hope we can kick on now for 2nd half.

Surely it must be Celtic the rumour monger was referring to as sure Milner has never been managed by Rafa, could be wrong but sure I'm not, so how they could be reunited before any uniting is strange beyond belief.

Fresh, how do you know the budget? How do you know he won't be a starter? Similar comments were made toward wini before he signed, that turned out fine, have faith, if Klopp believes Ox to a) be worth whatever fee is agreed b) bring quality as long as it doesn't affect our ability to strengthen other areas, the club have a better idea of affordability than any of us, appreciate others opinions on the matter tho, personally don't think we need him but I'll trust Klopp over mine and other posters opinions on it all.

What has the price tag got to do with anything? 15 35, why should it matter? If the club deem him worth however much and Klopp wants him, so be it, he'd be in his last chance saloon with regards big club in England so one would hope he'd do all he could to make it work, let's see if it comes about first, there are those in power who are the paid to balance the books.

I can only completely agree with all the above, Xabi has been exemplary as a pro and one of the finest passers of a football I've ever had the pleasure of watching, will be remembered for all the right reasons.

All good Super bud, for whatever reason the club decided, possibly with hindsight could turn out to be a missed opportunity, they didn't see the value in the deAl, appreciate your opinion Super, just think it a tad premature to conclude if it was worthwhile to cough up or not, in Chilwells case not as it turned out, it may well backfire in future but for now I'm sleeping easy about it.

LFCFAN, who cares how that rabble over the park celebrate or not, let that speak volumes about their club than anything, if Arsenal do score and EFC fans do celebrate, imo that is about as embarrassing as it could get, personally I don't believe that, to many people dismissing Everton, they are professionals, I don't really believe they will win or draw at arsenal but I don't believe they will rollover just on the off chance we might slip up, as someone else alluded to earlier, the players, the fans don't always have the same desire or outlook, hope I'm not being to complimentary to that lot over there, I genuinely can't comprehend that they are really that bitter it would be of any benefit to Everton, they have a new chairman, ambitious, not be discounted going forward, ed25, do you as I believe EFC will only try their best, whether that translates to being good enough to do so is another matter altogether, to conclude, we won't need any favours from anyone (fingers, toes, legs, eyes the works all crossed), let's just do our thing, show the rest of the league this is the start of a rising, the premise of more to come, I am nervously quietly confident, without over egging my pudding, belief not arrogance or narcasism on a grand scale, we have as good if not better chance than our contenders (the arse) to qualify for CL, there are 2 from big 6 that will miss out and could mean they fall behind, who knows the knock on impact missing out could have, similarly the positivity qualifying can breed and help nurture, one this for sure, it will be nail-biting, nerve shredding, heart stopping, typical us, roller coaster, fingernailess, heart murmur causing bird well ever meet or want, and the glutton we all are wouldn't expect anything less.

{Ed025's Note - i cant see everton supporters travelling all the way to london to celebrate their team getting beat can you UL?, we hate them getting beat in a friendly never mind a league game so you have no worries imo mate, i expect you to win comfortably on sunday and take your spot in the CL which will be thoroughly deserved, but if you dont beat a very poor boro side at home then you dont really deserve to be involved in a competition of that stature, but i have to tell you that if the worst does happen i will have a little chuckle but i cant see it..

Are we playing this game? Nice, I remember we wrote a scouting report on Zinedine Zidane ha, joking aside, Ronaldo, Silva, Villa, plus about at least 400 players this summer already according to the press, footy is littered with players who are nearly men for clubs, from my understanding, we didn't believe he was worth the fee they were asking, while also appearing to not be as keen on the move himself, one goal tonight against Spurs does not disprove that stance, maybe if he plays consistently for few more years then yes you'd have a point, one goal does not maketh a good player ha.

Pitney I get what your trying to say, similarly each league game is only worth 3 points for a win, problem with your point is that, we have instigated in the Boro game being bigger than what in normal circumstances it would be, the rewards for winning against not qualifying (or at least to the playoffs for CL) are vast and reality dictates that a win against Boro could mean roughly 10s of millions (complete guestimate), plus helping us attract players that should in theory help us develop along quicker (no guarantees, mostly theoretical), the importance of the match can't be underestimated, over emphasised or underplayed, facts are we win the game we have a better than average opportunity to make CL group stages.
Whichever way it goes, the table doesn't lie, teams finish where they deserve to, reason for this is how do we judge which teams are deserving of what? That's what the points are for! I will believe we've a chance even if 2 nil down with 5 to play, it's a funny old game.
