what is Arne Slot doing, we are in 12th place before the season even begins! He should be tactical about it and rename the club to be alphabetically first, I can tell he is lacking the mind games aspect!
1.) 21 Jun 2025 17:28:05
The tactics that got us into 12th has got to go imo!
2.) 21 Jun 2025 18:24:32
It's not where you start that matters, it's where you Finish!
16 Jun 2025 19:19:32
Ed001 and reds, if you had the option between origi (I don’t know if I should say his prime, as I don’t know when that was except against the bitters) or Nunez across throughout his time with us, who’d be your choice?
Ed025 I didn’t ask you coz I know mention of lord divock will hurt your feelings!
{Ed001's Note - Divvy all day every day and twice on Derby days.}
1.) 16 Jun 2025 19:57:02
Oh my god, Origi every day of the week.
Champions league sealing goal against spurs and the goals against Barcelona in the famous semi. Of course the goals against Everton.
He’s one of the Klopp heroes for me. That’s not to say he was one of our best most gifted players but he will always be remembered by many Liverpool fans for his contributions.
Bought by Rodgers but Klopp made him the man.
2.) 16 Jun 2025 20:04:50
I love Darwin and never quit on him during his time here. However, he is nowhere near the level Big Divvy was with us. A true Big Game player.
{Ed025's Note - both crap in my book Oli..
3.) 16 Jun 2025 20:27:33
I quit on Nunez a long time ago. A complete and utter waste of money. At least Origi only cost us a few bob. Talent wise, one up from Ed025 assessment
How you keeping, Ed?
{Ed025's Note - im good thanks Rome, getting worse at golf though mate..
4.) 16 Jun 2025 20:22:55
Both won titles Ed025.
{Ed025's Note - they did SR, one had the title for defining his career by one goal scored against a poor Everton side, the other has the title for biggest waste of space ever to wear a red shirt mate.. :)
5.) 16 Jun 2025 20:36:08
It's still doing you good though, mate. 5 mile walk and lots of fresh air. The world's most frustrating sport.
{Ed025's Note - its 7 miles for me Rome where i bloody hit it mate.. :)
6.) 16 Jun 2025 20:46:47
Ha, ha. Just as well you weren't playing the US Open!
{Ed025's Note - your dead right there Rome, i would have been at least 250 over par mate...1st round.. :)
7.) 16 Jun 2025 21:10:27
Nunez is the better player overall, but if I needed a goal in the last 10 minutes of a crucial match, I'd go with Origi.
8.) 16 Jun 2025 21:20:00
Is that true ye only "Hole in One" is a Sock! ed025 didn't the girls also say you've got a twelve inch putter, but don't use it as a Rule!
Some of them above ed025 are older than ye last trophy win, don't be disappointed though EFC will be back sooner than you think, things can turn very quickly in football nowadays, hopefully your new stadium is the catalyst, I thought with the best most successful football manager ever in Ancelotti it would of been much earlier, as ye cannot say that Benitez, Marco Silva and Martinez were not high calibre managers also (Iraola I would suggest is that ideal man, plays very attractive football also, all done on a shoe string, will improve no doubts with bigger and better resources)
Ye just need the right appointment as a Manager and Bingo your away, as the fanbase is more than ready and you do like throwing us Kopites into the Mersey win or lose!
{Ed025's Note - i have only had one "hole in 1" 007 at Mossock hall about 15 years ago...cost me a fortune, i would take Iraola tomorrow mate but i feel he could well be courted by far bigger clubs, we wont throw your supporters in the royal blue Mersey though..they will jump like Lemmings when we beat you.. :)
9.) 16 Jun 2025 21:20:46
Origi scored in a CL final win and two in an epic semi final comeback and Nunez scored two against Brentford.
10.) 16 Jun 2025 22:05:37
There have been way worse players than Nunez, Ed025. Sean Dundee, Erik Meijer, David N’Gog etc.
{Ed025's Note - yeah Tom no doubt about that mate, but i would say that Liverpool were not at the peak of their powers then, they are now so keeping Dutch Elm like Nunez should be frowned upon imo..
11.) 16 Jun 2025 23:24:45
Don't forget every Everton forward this side of Dixie Dean, Hessle.
12.) 16 Jun 2025 23:46:04
Big Div was worth every penny we ever paid him for making England’s number 1 look like a t! t.
13.) 17 Jun 2025 02:40:10
' against a poor Everton side' - every Everton side is poor Ed.
{Ed025's Note - in recent times i suppose so Nick, but i remember the great sides mate ..
30 Apr 2025 14:48:03
Ed01 now that are season is delightfully over a month before the official end of it, would it not make sense to give our regular starters an extended break and send them away for holidays get them ready for next season, and give the fringe players and youngsters a proper go.
{Ed001's Note - no, it would affect the rest of the league.}
1.) 30 Apr 2025 15:02:27
Understood, thanks Ed!
2.) 30 Apr 2025 15:04:41
I am pretty sure Arne will want to finish the season on a high, therefore playing a strong team for each game. Also as Ed001 has responded there are still further issues to be decided regarding Eurpoean places.
3.) 30 Apr 2025 15:21:52
There's fans that spent a fortune to watch first team players not kids thrown out. Yes I'd give chiesa, elliot and bradley starts with looking onwards to next season but it should remain a strong 11 especially for footballers also employed by the club on massive salaries.
4.) 30 Apr 2025 15:38:02
Players have tons of rest now. I would like us to get to at least 90 points!
5.) 30 Apr 2025 16:27:23
See the season out and go out on a high, pressure is off now.
6.) 30 Apr 2025 16:30:42
Out of respect for the competition we need to field strong lineups but hopefully the likes of Elliot and Chiesa will get more minutes off the bench now that the pressure is off. Maybe even some PL experience for some of the exciting youngsters.
7.) 30 Apr 2025 16:39:15
90 points don’t really matter tbf that is a vanity issue, the two points that I actually agree with is impacting the league on it being fair, and secondarily being fair to the paying audience!
The one that grinds my gears. is massive wages, why does it matter if they rest for the next 4 weeks or making the same amount injured, called protecting your asset!
My argument was from a business perspective but in this instance I understand the actual morality aspect of it.
8.) 30 Apr 2025 17:47:00
Its not a vanity issue what so ever, we will need at least 90 points to win the league going forward again. get this squad used to it.
9.) 30 Apr 2025 17:49:16
Imagine the teams in the premier if we played kids there would be all sorts of alligations made about the club as teams still need to sort out euro places.
10.) 30 Apr 2025 19:00:54
@iwillbered funny they didn't seem to care too much when they were forcing us to play kids in the FA cup Vs villa a couple of years ago. When it's to their benefit or our detriment they're fine with it.
11.) 30 Apr 2025 19:09:20
@kurt you’ll need the players to be ready to win the 90 plus points next season, why expend their energy during games where you’ve got nothing to play for and risk injuries.
12.) 01 May 2025 03:13:03
Neil Warnock blamed us for his Sheffield United team getting relegated when we made a load of changes and lost to Fulham in 07 before the Champions League final. We’d have more of that if we rotated heavily. We’re out of Europe so have no reason not to go full strength in the remaining games.
16 Jul 2025 23:19:36
There are far too many “he who must not be named” people about time we name these people.
23 Apr 2025 22:23:58
Tbh one of our best full backs, not knowing what happened contract negotiations wise! He owes zero to us and we owe nothing to him if this materializes.
30 Aug 2024 21:20:36
Ed prefers to deal in the market of “pulling out”.
16 Aug 2023 22:57:07
Albeit sarcastically this is the first time victor has been excited about a player, I take that as a win.
15 Jul 2023 01:57:38
Exactly for the reasons you mentioned?
02 Jun 2025 13:31:15
A cross between hazard and debruyne.
24 May 2025 20:30:13
Half kdb half hazard.
10 May 2025 21:35:06
Why boo the kid he has served us well, also as much as I hate to admit it money talks! 15 years of murica with trump in the mix does that.
