Ibra Konate,
A centre half HEY
He came from Leipzig,
To Liverpool

Ooooo you beauty this is a deal for the ages, having seen him play every minute of every game from when he was a young budding athlete to present day (just a hop skip and jump in a time machine or through running so fast you time travel) I can safely say he is much better than that Scottish lad alan hansen who sounds strangely Danish. Also I have never seen the Hansen lad play.

Zoom V2

{Ed025's Note - just remember the last world beater you got from RBL zoom, turned out to be a lemon, by the way hansen was better than VVD mate..

1.) 28 May 2021 18:50:33
Was he really Ed? talentwise or more longevity? I mean if VVD played 10-12 years here at his normal level would you still think Hansen was better? Genuinely curious as Hansen was not long from retiring when i first got into supporting L'pool.

{Ed025's Note - he was brilliant jadon and thats coming from a blue, he had it all mate and for me ranks alongside bobby moore, beckenbauer, and labone..

2.) 28 May 2021 19:05:17
Hansen was the best centre back to have ever played for Liverpool football club.

{Ed025's Note - no arguments from me ben..

3.) 28 May 2021 19:32:10
I agree Ed, Hanson was different gravy to anything i ever saw. It always amazed me that Fergie didn't pick him for Scotland!

{Ed025's Note - that was because fergie was an arrogant egotistical prick cons..

4.) 28 May 2021 20:24:20
Hansen was about as good as it gets. If he had a weakness, he didn't like the rough stuff. It used to crack me up watching him break out of defence and waltz through the opposition midfield, with them not knowing what to do because it's a centre half rampaging through them.

{Ed025's Note - i thought he dealt with the rough stuff just fine flash, its just that he never had to resort to such tactics....because he had a brain mate..

5.) 28 May 2021 20:35:28
Exactly right Ed025. Hanson was world class. Best defender we've ever had.

{Ed025's Note - i concur mate..

6.) 28 May 2021 21:18:47
I am not totally disagreeing but VVD is far better in the air, quicker, stronger, a better long passer, scorers more goals. Hansen played in a better team and was a much better reader of the game and better positionally. A tie for me.
If I had to pick one to start next season with it would be VVD he covers our weaknesses better.

7.) 28 May 2021 21:18:50
I think the lawro was as good as hansen if not better. He was a lot like modern day defenders atleast in terms of passing. He could see a pass ruthless in a tackle too.
His bbc work could be better though;)

8.) 28 May 2021 21:20:32
Hansen a Rolls-Royce of a player.

9.) 28 May 2021 21:26:49
VVD is a Ferrari, which one are you choosing to start next season?

10.) 28 May 2021 22:26:30
Virg'll do for me.

11.) 28 May 2021 23:05:34
Considering Hansen is about 65 now that's hardly fair. In their prime? Hansen 7 days a week and I absolutely adore Big Virgil.

12.) 28 May 2021 23:14:23
Me too mate, we lost him for 6 months and collapsed.

13.) 28 May 2021 23:40:28
Had a disagreement with a utd fan who claims Ramos was the best ever CB!

14.) 28 May 2021 23:47:55
VVD is no doubt more superior in terms of physical attributes, but Hansen was a couple of notches above him in terms of reading the game and actual defending.

He was just a swan playing in a role many associate with a brawler and was still head and shoulders above the rest.

But I liked King Kenny's comments about him years ago when they did a video on 100 players that shook the kop,
KK: 'i don't know how he got a game, don't know how he's in the team'
jurno: 'seriously? '
KK: 'i'm serious about it, haha'

15.) 29 May 2021 00:03:57
oh yes, Hansen is also a rare breed of good pundits with any credibility.

Of course, he's always being mocked for saying 'kids don't win anything' (but when you take a serious look at that utd team, the spine of the team was Bruce, Pallister, Keane, Cantona, Irwin, Schmeichel) .

i really enjoyed his match analysis rather than the talk shows we have now of people who change their minds in an instant pending on who and how assertive the guests are and failed managers who someone still make it back as pundits critiquing what managers should do.

16.) 29 May 2021 06:34:30
Alan Hansen was literally one of the finest defenders ever to play the game. He's up there with Baresi. 3 European cup. Complete Rolls Royce of a player. VVD has that potential but until he's done it, Hansen is league ahead of him.

17.) 28 May 2021 23:30:55
Ed025 I'll have you know that Keira yes Keira silly duking autocorrect mind you the amount of alcohol I've consumed will surely have some impact anyway that's a story for a different day albeit now, yes the booze has taken his hold on me like one of those wrestling bandits choke slamming there opponents in what is surely a real sport. Anyway Keira is a world class player and has shown as much in all of the many 90 minutes he has completed over the course of his career at the mighty pool, wouldn't swap him for anyone except maybe Cameron Brannagan, taken from us too soon.

{Ed025's Note - maybe he is a wrestler zoom....because hes not really a footballer, i thought he would be your ROCK in midfield but he doesn,t have the FLAIR, he came with the reputation of being the BIG DADDY an ULTIMATE WARRIOR but im afraid he just doesn,t have the HART mate.. :)

18.) 29 May 2021 11:25:15
Some great puns there ed025 even if you are a blue nosed scummer (all in good humour me old china don't worry about it, nothing personal hehe), it seems I've met my match in terms of intellect and wit, some first class stuff.

Unfortunately I only recognise a couple of those names however as I have no interest in that fake sport.

Anyway after a few silly posts (what a silly goose I am lol) I'm glad to be back in this community after a long time away and can only hope I am welcomed back into the fold with open arms.

{Ed025's Note - your slate is clean as far as im concerned zoom mate..

Zoom will NOT stand for being fat shamed you scrumptious young lad, however I'm as lean as they come due to my exceedingly good genetic code thank you very much and her nagging is actually in fact all because I stayed out all day on our anniversary just TWICE (and missed her sister's wedding because I was having a fumble with the father of the bride) the ungrateful swine

Zoom almighty,

What has this forum come to? 🤣.

2.) 23 Sep 2020 17:27:05
Apologies did not mean to put this as a separate post.

3.) 23 Sep 2020 17:36:12
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

4.) 23 Sep 2020 18:03:39
Zoom you need to end every sentence after 10 or so words. And then skip a line every 5 lines or so, so that it looks like a paragraph. And having a subject to discuss is an additional bonus.

5.) 23 Sep 2020 18:04:24
Boom to the Zoom . love it, what a specimen.

6.) 23 Sep 2020 18:15:34
Alrighty then, I guess?

7.) 23 Sep 2020 18:40:19
ArAy, or should I say jeweler Jim back at it once again, you and me will come to blows over this you mark my words however I would really love to befriend you because you seem like a man of real character as a certain big nosed Brendan would way, will you do me the honour of becoming my Welsh xavi?

And trudie yes I am the finest of all specimens known to man or otherwise, you've got a real gem on your hands here hehe my old mucker.

8.) 23 Sep 2020 18:59:38
I’ve been doing some digging Zoom, she’s bang out of order.

Firstly, she ain’t got a sister

And a chicory tip concerning the latter . that was the son not the father.

9.) 23 Sep 2020 20:45:36
Zoom, have you heard of the phrases 'Too much detail' and 'When you're in a hole stop digging'?

10.) 23 Sep 2020 20:51:41
Zoom, my old friend, thanks but no thanks. I'm already in a highly blissful pairing, and I have no idea what being your Xavi entails, nor do I have the slightest curiosity to find out. Seems you need a Gattuso more than a Xavi. 😂.

11.) 23 Sep 2020 21:06:37
Yes indeed jeffy boy although I do hope that wasn't a sly subtle dig at me if you'll pardon the pun as the great Moses Beacon would say hoho you merry lad, as for the too much detail aspect I have neither any boundaries nor social skills so I hope that goes some way to explaining that, anyhow lads sorry for the digging and details as I say it wasnt meant to be a separate post just simply a reply on a previous topic, just trying to lighten everybody's days during these dark dark times (though not quite as dark as my troubled backstory and upbringing) and you could say I'm like marmite, everyone hates me.

12.) 24 Sep 2020 08:45:26
Marmite’s alright Zoom but I always preferred Bovril.

13.) 24 Sep 2020 10:42:36
Quality zoom, more of this please mate!

14.) 24 Sep 2020 11:09:35
The 5 rules to being Zoom's welsh xavi:

1. Must not be afraid of an occasional phasing here and there just to get you in line with my wicked ways.

2. Be prepared for all sorts of wacky shenanigans and hijinks where this fella is concerned

3. Be home no later than 8:30pm for a home cooked zoom meal and a warm embrace

4. NO flirting with other men OR women at ANY time or there will be consequence

5. Just have fun really, this is a no pressure kind of gig and if you're interested I don't want you walking on eggshells, however there are very strict rules and guidelines which you will need to adhere to or pay the ultimate price.

Afternoon my sweet cherubs (and cherubees for any members of the female persuasion (though god forbid they should find this place as this is a real safe haven from my old missus, nice to get a break or three here and there I must say, nag nag nag that's all she bloody does)

Just a quick (or perhaps could be extremely long depending on where we are by the time finish this rant of sorts) post on the old kylian mbappe rumours I've seen of late - well I happen to think its a complete load of gobbledygook and codswhallop if you ask me (which nobody did but alas here we are I've been forced into this mark my words), sure he is a fantastic player with the world at his feet and if he continues at this rapid trajectory (though not velocity that stuffs reserved specially for a speedster like me) then I'm sure he'll be winning ballon dors left right and centre in his career but I just think it too big a risk to dismantle our front three however as I say i do believe it's a load of boulderdash and therefore most of this is pretty irrelevant anywho that's my two cents on the matter.

Zoom V2

1.) 23 Sep 2020 16:27:58
I think you maybe a little mixed up Zoom

The missus ain’t nagging you cos you’re a lightning bolt, it’s because your 6x the size you were when she met you.

2.) 24 Sep 2020 06:54:05
Tbh, he's a great player. But so is mo salah. They're both world class. But we KNOW salah works in this team.

Mbappe is the type of player you build a team around. We're not at that point in our evolution. We've got a lovely casserole and are just adding nice little finishing ingredients.

Look at teams who are about to start a rebuild and that's where Mbappe will end up. That's if he even leaves Paris. He's not going to find more money anywhere else is he? A lot of big players have seen out their careers there. It's a huge club. Surely real Madrid though if he goes.

Wowzarooney, so we finally got our man (men) and all I can say is the following: the boy sure can dictate the play. Now he may not go down as the best dictator in history (with competition from the likes of Mussolini, Mugabe, Kim Jong Un and Boris Johnson that's no slight on his ability, although his real test will of course come when he has to keep his people (in this case the mighty redmen) happy rather than see them revolt) but by jove do we have a real quality playmaker on our hands

What a result for the reds today, onwards and upwards from here I believe, the sky is the limit if you will, I'm becoming a cliche at this point and rambling on which is not like me, must be all these drinks at the ship and mitre where you'll find me posted up quite often indeed

Anyway great result fellow reds let's keep it going.

Beginning of last season I had a feeling I've never had as a liverpool fan. I thought "we're going to win the league" and I truly believed it.

I have the same feeling this year. Our recent performances (end of last season) worried me. But when the boys are on it. They're unbeatable. And with thiago in the middle, I also think we're going to be unstoppable.

It's going to be another 95+ season Imo. And it'll come down to city again.

2.) 20 Sep 2020 21:46:23
Let me be clear. Every season I've hoped, and always said "this year" but beginning of last season was different.

3.) 20 Sep 2020 21:46:48
Robbie why isn’t your feeling telling you we’re going to win the CL, FA and League cup as well. I tell you what mate we have some squad now. I honestly think we have a chance of a treble or quadruple. The squad is good enough we just need that little rub of the green as well.

4.) 20 Sep 2020 22:22:16
Wowzarooney seriously?

18 Jul 2020 12:59:20
The second disappointment being that my second footballing love oxford united were crushed in the playoff final in a disastrous end to the week for myself, I don't think I will ever truly get over it although that being said I am for the most part over it.
