rumours all around the internet that we've agreed a loan for tello and a fee for sydney sam. won't believe it until they actually sign. but can anyone confirm if we're close?

hey eds. which players will likely leave (permanent/loan) in the upcoming window? and are we interested in pastore/cabaye/reges/gonalons?
thanks a lot
#YNWA {Ed002's Note - You need to read the posts and try the search function man. Off the top of my head - Sterling will likely go out on loan; Ilori might go on loan; there may well be offers for Coutinho and Suarez. There is no confirmed Liverpool interest in those players at this time.}

are we looking at shaqiri and/or guidetti? were we interested in either of them in the summer?
thanks eds {Ed002's Note - (a) No. (b) I expect that Guidetti will be allowed to leave with interest remaining from both long term suitors Borussia Monchengladbach and Trabzonspor as well as Liverpool.}

hey eds
how is it that vitesse are allowed to loan so many players from chelsea? I remember you mentioning some limitations of loaning players.

#nice work. #great site
cheers {Ed002's Note - Vitesse are not subject to EPL rules.}

remind me again why liverpool pulled out of the fekir deal?

elnino09

1.) 19 Sep 2018 21:16:52
You can see why klopp was desperate to sign him tearing city to shreds.

2.) 19 Sep 2018 23:49:42
Do u think we would still go back and would he still have same desire too come as we messed him about bigtime, I was gutted when we never got him in summer and gutted now as he will probably get snapped up by someone else in premiership.

3.) 20 Sep 2018 05:57:24
His knees were not medically compliant. 60 million pounds and he won't be starting ahead of either mane or salah and we don't play with an attacking mid. made sense to buy shaqiri and we did.

4.) 20 Sep 2018 08:24:22
Yeah he's a player that would've been the icing on the cake for our squad but not one that we really need. His knee made the deal too risky and looking at our set up at the moment it's hard to see where he'd even have fit in so far. I like him a lot as a player and it was fun to watch him do that to city, but it was the right call not to sign him and hailstones we did not mess him around. The deal was advancing until a problem emerged from his medical and a decision was made. It happens. I think you can forget about Fekir, but perhaps we'll find another creative left footed mid somewhere along the line. That Kai Havertz kid looks promising.

{Ed002's Note - It was over money.}

I'm surprised by all the negativity among fans despite our current form. Yes we were terrible in the first 6 months, and Rodgers was stubborn not to change his formations quick. But he's a young manager and this is a young team, they're all learning. If anyone was expecting a title challenge this season I call you naive. Without Suarez we would never be able to mount a challenge this season. Even Rafa, despite his experience, was stubborn at times, and so are a lot of other managers. You'd be happy to have LVG like most mancs, but is he better than Rodgers? LVG spent excessively on so called world class, proven talents. yet, even without added pressure of CL and with such a squad united aren't paying well, let alone challenge for the title. Would you rather have us play like Chelsea? yes they're top of the league, but I know that most Liverpool fans would want to be top of the league by playing good football rather than theirs. And city spent heavily but it took years for their squad to gel.
I know we've overpaid for some of the players we bought, but none of them are actual flops, even though they haven't justified their price tag completely. This is a young squad who are performing well, instead of encouraging them we find minor reasons to berate them. We call chelsea fans plastics, but we are behaving worse than them. Our behaviour will surely influence the owners in making their decision about BR. At this time, I really hope we don't go through another change in management. That will only make matters worse. Insulting your own team, or crying campaign against the refs ain't going to help the team.

1.) 24 Feb 2015 07:17:40
Why would changing managers make matters worse? Strange assumption with no basis really.

2.) 24 Feb 2015 08:21:25
It's not a one off though. He did exactly the same last season.

3.) 24 Feb 2015 09:06:58
If Rodgers starts next season playing the way we are now, then I see no problem with him staying.

If Rodgers wants to start next season playing the way we have started for the past 2 seasons (his favoured way) then he's got to go.

4.) 24 Feb 2015 09:40:50
Just going out on a limb here - and this is by no means putting any blame on Gerrard - I think most Liverpool supporters and probably also the players would have been more than happy to play like Chelsea and win a title had we known in September this would be Gerrard's last session in red.

5.) 24 Feb 2015 12:59:20
The negativity is only being brought to the fore because of all the superfans on here who just spout mindless drivel about supporting the club and how they've always loved rodgers and how the whole team is world class and absolutely nothing is wrong - without actually using their brains and in several instances actually having a go at people for having anything other than 110% optimism. So yes many of us who try to have thought out, balanced arguments are inclined to post some negativity to counteract the childish antics of some posters. We rather we wouldn't have to but still.

6.) 25 Feb 2015 01:44:25
You post some sense there, Wooly! A balanced approach has to be used in order to have an honest debate about BR`s future and people willfuly ignoring his blunders in the name of "positivity" is just dishonest and prevents this debate from happening.

if sanchez doesn't wanna come to Liverpool, maybe we could try for pedro?

elnino09

{Ed001's Note - I sincerely hope not.}

its funny how the evertonian banter page has them complaining about their lack of squad depth leading to last night's result. they have a thicker squad than ours and we still beat them 4-0. what a performance! YNWA!

it's as absurd as most fans jumping to the conclusion that we'll win the league halfway through the season. what's up with our attack though, it was disappointing against bayern and worse today. wish the ox came back sooner, it was shocking that of all our players, only matip drove through their defense. our game plan has become very predictable tbh, it's either try to lob over the defense to salah or play out wide and whip in a poor cross.

I think since we've upgraded our defence, we tend to play at the back far more often than we should, inviting the opposition to press us.

karius hasn't played well, but he is certainly better than mignolet. his distribution is so much better, we just need to give him time.
