Well of course seeing it sucks. If Salah moves to a Prem Rival club. But he has given us some of the best moments. I do feel FSG has got to change maybe their budget and transfer policy. The day Klopp and the transfer team leaves. If replace with people who isn't as good. We are simply back to the olden days.So i feel FSG should at least look into the transfer policy. Salah and Mane has been wonderful servants to the club. But what do i know... im just a fan who wants to see LFC does well. But if both were to leave. We can't blame them for it. A pro football lives isn't long they got to make the best out of it. So i agree with Ed totally.

Nowhere has Salah said he us going to a Premier League rival. This James Pearce bloke is a sensationalist muppet.

Salah said he will be here next season? Fact. Salah hasn't signed a new contract? Fact. His current contract expires next summer? Fact.

Salah will not sign a new deal? Completely fabricated. In the event he leaves for free he will join a Premier League rival? Completely fabricated.

Pearce can do one for the drama he's created. Slow news week due to the season ending coupled with the fact he's clinging on to his reputation as a reliable source; this has resulted in him writing any old crap just to stay relevant. And the gullible but loud minority just lapped it up like little Pomeranians being hand fed processed ham by a plastic WAG.

Fowler give me strength, because this is going to be a long summer.

Chances are if he hasn’t signed his new bumper contract by now, he’s not going to. This suggests it’s more about money than anything so who will pay him more in a years’ time? Possibly PSG, more likely Newcastle or Chelsea or City. Pearce is hedging his bets and he’s probably correct that if Salah is chasing dosh then another PL team is his best opportunity.
Let him go this summer if it were me.

3.) 03 Jun 2022 02:23:02
Hedging his bets is not enough evidence to justify the lynch mob. And that's without even getting into the fact that it is Salah's right to run down his contract and go wherever he wants afterwards.

Just feels absolutely ridiculous to me. Bloke says he will be here next season so just look forward to that and worry about what comes after when we get there. Honouring his contract would be more than Sterling, Suarez, Torres, Mascherano or Coutinho even did for us.

I don’t see why FSG should change their policy in response to losing players who their policy helped recruit…. keep the policy and keep doing your job to find the players that fit.

Exactly, Faith. Well said.

MK is spot on with his assessment, but you can't really blame the press muppets. Every fan in the UK by now must realise that the overwhelming majority of what the press prints during transfer window is absolute garbo, produced simply to generate website traffic.
Yet many of those same people believe it, hook line and sinker.
The comments on here this week over Salah bear testament to that. Salah has even reiterated very recently that he will be here next season, but that gets completely ignored in favour of the "latest up to date newsflash" from journos desperate for clicks.
There's quite a chunk of every club's fanbase that is just utterly gullible. It keeps me amused when there's no football on though.

As far as I’m concerned, if he’s not going to sign a new contract then he should be sold. If he really intended signing he would have done so by now. James Pearce is just parroting stories that his agent is giving him.

There’s really no point in Salah being here if he’s saving himself for a big money move, there’s no way he’ll be busting a gut for us if he knows there’s a big pay day on the line, McManaman, Can and Wijnaldum were the same and they too should have been sold before the last year.

If he refuses to leave, then his role needs to be diminished to that of a substitute (football’s equivalent to gardening leave), as there’s really no point in relying on him if his future doesn’t lie here in the longer term, we should also set about replacing him now rather than have a scramble next year when the world and his dog will know we’ll be desperate for a replacement.

8.) 03 Jun 2022 10:02:58
I don't really understand why so many are discussing it. He's one player and always will be, gone are the days of us relying on one player. Should he go? Good luck to him and we'll replace accordingly as we always have done. I don't really care where he ends up, we've had the best of him so it's not really a big deal in my opinion.

VVVV - there is another possibility and that is that the club and Mo mutually agree to play out the season.

10.) 03 Jun 2022 10:16:53
Fully agree MK. Sadly, journalism has become a garbage career where speculation and guesswork has replaced facts.

11.) 03 Jun 2022 11:12:49
My apologies VVVV. I wasn't aware that you'd bugged James Pearce's and Ramy Abbas's offices. What's James having for dinner tonight out of interest?

12.) 03 Jun 2022 12:29:37
exactly salah.

13.) 03 Jun 2022 12:48:57
In this case it’s not even speculation. Mo did say he hates the thought of playing against Liverpool, never said he’d leave for a rival club tho. And the journo’s have taken that quote, from 2021, and turned into a headline that says he is prepared to go to a rival club. Given this interview was last year, They must have all sorts of sensational headlines in storage just waiting to be released when they need some traffic through their sites!

14.) 03 Jun 2022 15:09:58
The problem is we all love Mo and we are acting like the woman scorned. He’s currently choosing not to sign a new contract for us and all Indications point to him leaving.

Whether he leaves us for another league or a rival club it’s still going to hurt but as it’s been said numerous times the guy has given us the best years of his career to date.

There’s not a lot we can do as fans to convince him to stay (not unless we have a secret billionaire on here who fancies paying him) but what we can do his show him our appreciation and in return enjoy and appreciate what could be Mo’s last season at the club.

Hopefully it’s a great one and we give him a major trophy as a send off and in return we get to celebrate that major trophy also as a club and fans.

15.) 03 Jun 2022 17:04:52
Putting one of your best players on the bench as a punishment for daring not to sign a new contract sounds like a great plan to me VVVV.
Got any more pearls of wisdom?

16.) 03 Jun 2022 17:20:24
Wow. Just wow. Our best offensive player of the last 5 years and he's being pilloried because he wants the same financial rewards, for the future, as other players of his level. Now if that is accurate, what kind of picture does it paint of our club? I'm as tightfisted as anyone and will always maintain that sound financial management and the team, comes before any one individual. But for how long do you think you can get away with paying 200K per week to your best players, while the best players at your rivals are getting 300k to 400k per week (let's not even mention the moronic teams that pay even more)? That's the message he and his agent have bluntly put out this week with the nonsense of him going to EPL rivals. It's just posturing. I don't think it will ever happen. Salah wouldn't do it. And then the club wouldn't let him do it either (sign him up for 400K per week on a Monday, and sell him out of the League on Tuesday) .

17.) 04 Jun 2022 04:07:08
Aray- well we’ve done it for a few year and there is every chance these are Mo’s peak years which we have maximised. So we’ll done Edwards for gaming the system haha.
