Jürgen Klopp is obsessive with the Jude Bellingham transfer and is making calls every single day to make sure Liverpool are as as possible on this deal. Liverpool are actively working to sign Jude Bellingham in the summer. ”

Liverpool are really really pushing. Liverpool are having contacts on the players side and with Dortmund. ”

(When asked if he’s to bet on Liverpool, City or Madrid to sign him)

“Today, I would mention Liverpool. It can change, but Liverpool lead the race. ”

Matheus Nunes is a name. Liverpool wanted him before he went to Wolves. I wouldn’t say it’s a done deal, but Liverpool want Jude Bellingham AND Matheus Nunes. ”

(Fabrizio Romano)

Don't think Fabrizio's telling us anything we don't already know there.

Taking a hell of a risk if we don't get our man though.

2.) 31 Jan 2023 17:09:15
Making calls to who? Julian Ward in the next room?

3.) 31 Jan 2023 17:12:51
If this is the case, can they not agree the deal now in advance to him moving in the summer?

4.) 31 Jan 2023 17:59:00
Jude will find his rabbit on the stove like fatal attraction.

5.) 31 Jan 2023 17:52:28
Romano is miles behind when reporting anything. he just says what others have said long ago. sort of like windows explorer.

6.) 31 Jan 2023 17:57:37
Who knows what is really happening behind the scenes? And true, Romano probably knows only as much as other journos, but he has somehow more people paying attention to him.

Also true that the club will have massive "egg on the face" if Bellingham doesn't join. Only because of the huge commotion made, and everybody talking, about it. And also the inferences that other purchases and moves have been put on hold, until the summer, because of the "Bellingham project".

7.) 31 Jan 2023 18:04:36
So do we just wait til we are mid table mediocrity at best then sigh when these guys don’t want to come?

8.) 31 Jan 2023 18:25:39
Yes Colin, exactly. Or, maybe players don't really care about a blip when you have one of the best managers and are one of the largest most successful clubs that's won everything possible over the past few of years. Players, unlike fair weather fans perhaps look at the bigger and longer term picture.

9.) 31 Jan 2023 18:50:42
Romano is always (or nearly always) one of the first to ‘announce’ things after an official statement has been made. Like with Gakpo, Romano tweeted after his old club said they had reached an agreement with us. It seems like he is breaking the news in a lot of cases but he isn’t really.

I think with Bellingham and Nunes, in this instance he should be ignored. Nothing has happened in terms of agreeing anything wit the clubs or players mentioned and he is just using (informed) guesswork more than anything.

10.) 31 Jan 2023 18:54:59
I wish lijnders had gone to utd.

11.) 31 Jan 2023 19:02:35
Red mob you are suggesting that players go to clubs because they admire their history and want to be involved in a project. That’s boll*cks. They go to clubs for money and top 4. If I club isn’t in top 4 then they will want more money. You end up getting mercenaries.

12.) 31 Jan 2023 19:05:26
Backed us to get Bellingham since last summer but I'm starting to have doubts recently. wouldn't surprise me if he went to a better club at the last minute. Then we will look like mugs and everyone will be on the fsg out bandwagon.

13.) 31 Jan 2023 19:07:08
For the record red mob. I’ve been a Liverpool fan through worse periods than this. Much worse. I am allowed to be pragmatic about the reality of the situation we are in. I am also allowed to be disappointed. It doesn’t mean I don’t support the club. I will support them through whatever, but as a fan I am allowed to voice an opinion of disappointment. I more disappointed in the players drop off than the management, but failing to replace wijnaldum and keeping players like ox and Keita has been a huge mistake, whoever made those type of decisions. But I am just a fair weather fan for maybe you could give me more insight red mong.

14.) 31 Jan 2023 19:07:11
Yeah, you can just see Bellingham going into his bathroom and turning on the light, you can see Jurgen behind him in the reflection in the mirror, while Judes phone vibrates on the sink showing "KLOPP".

15.) 31 Jan 2023 19:07:16
I just don’t see how we persuade Bellingham to sign for us and I don’t see how our club can find 200M+ for him and Nunez?

16.) 31 Jan 2023 19:12:49
Romano is the new Guillem Balague.

All the 'exclusives' on Liverpool transfers when Rafa was the manager.

17.) 31 Jan 2023 19:33:13
To be honest with you, transfer DDay is a load of tripe popularised by Jim White who is a massive tw*t, and sky sports who are trying to turn epl into some sort of US style super franchise and bleed fans dry. Nearly as bad as all those stupid marvel films they release every couple of seconds now.

18.) 31 Jan 2023 19:45:02
Bit harsh calling Jim White a twit.

19.) 31 Jan 2023 20:35:17
Just don’t see FSG spending that sort of money no chance.

20.) 31 Jan 2023 20:58:33
I’m hoping that actually they are going to realise that by being out of the CL will affect the valuation of the club and revenue will drop. Think they’ve milked things long enough.

21.) 31 Jan 2023 21:50:34
I'd be shocked if Bellingham came within the city limits if we're not in the CL. We can't blame fatigue at the end of the season. One game a week to get it done.

22.) 31 Jan 2023 22:08:03
Absolute nonsense the highest bidder gets him and it won't be FSG.

23.) 31 Jan 2023 23:53:40
I wonder if Bellingham is just a play like Timo Werner, Chrisitian Pulisic and many others linked throught the season but we never make a bid for.

Its clear more now than ever that we only have limited funds per season and that money was used by Nunez and Gakpo.
Hopefully some sense kicks in and we actually spend the bellingham money and buy 2-3 midfielders in the summer and a top rated defender.

30 Jan 2023 11:06:14
Liverpool are assessing the squads of the likes of PSG, Atletico Madrid and Juventus to see if there are any loan deals that could be arranged before the window shuts to bolster the midfield. [Simon Jones].

1.) 30 Jan 2023 12:01:41
Another Melho in the making. It's getting ridiculous now.

2.) 30 Jan 2023 12:25:57
A loan until Nunes and bellingham join, and Caicedo's price normalises a bit.

3.) 30 Jan 2023 12:30:22
I don't know if this is true but if it is, scouring the loan market a day before deadline day when you have currently have 9 fit midfielders is pretty damning of our midfield options.

4.) 30 Jan 2023 12:31:21
Why can't FSG just come out and say, we aren't selling, we and our mates are making too much money off the LFC name, why would we sell, even though we know we can't take the club any further and we are holding you back.

5.) 30 Jan 2023 12:43:34
FSG need and want the books to be in the best possible shape pre sale, and are not going to suddenly change tact by paying over the odd's for a player when a club like Brighton is asking too much due to the inherent difficulties of buying and replacing players in the January window.

Caicedo is what we need, but the price being quoted is ridiculous.

This season is a write off, Real will give us a hiding, but we'll be back.

6.) 30 Jan 2023 12:45:48
They'll sell when the estimated value of the club starts to drop suddenly.

7.) 30 Jan 2023 13:05:06
I imagine the estimated value of the club will drop next month when we hit the relegation zone.

8.) 30 Jan 2023 13:28:48
I don’t see how a player purchases would necessarily be effected unless, the player is 30 or so.

If there’s a young player like Calcaido is purchased for 60 million, although it appears the club borrowing the money to gain the player, that player would be regarded as an asset of value on the books at his purchase price.

So I may be naive regarding this, but it’s how I see it re money and player purchase.

I’m in the “we have our targets”, they aren’t available this window, similarly the Virgil scenario, we had to wait.

Regarding the team as it stands, I think everyone is knackered, the players had an awesome season- last season, but the guy’s had covered the well documented “injury prone” players whilst playing every single possible game. They are fried atm.

9.) 30 Jan 2023 13:41:01
Ounahi just moved to Marsielle for £8 million, and no doubt on a relatively low wage. It will cost us more to borrow some washed-up has-been to spend 6 months wandering round looking disinterested.

The most successful short-term loaning I can remember us having was Paul Jones playing one game for us. Absolute hiding to nothing.

10.) 30 Jan 2023 14:29:22
If we signed Ounahi for £8m people would complain about it being a penny pinching panic signing too, so idk if it's a great example of anything.

11.) 30 Jan 2023 15:49:03
Probably the most exciting part of our season will be the battle of the mid table… Can Chelsea ‘buy’ their way out of trouble, compared to our can we ‘wait for targets’ our way out of trouble ;)

Talk about a battle of 2 extremes. All for the ‘both missed top 4 trophy’ ?.

12.) 30 Jan 2023 16:05:41
The thing to remember with French owners is that they have a three level pricing structure.

(1) a normal price they’ll charge to other French clubs who aren’t PSG.

(2) a PSG price.

(3) an English price, which is the same as the PSG price, but is followed with “I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries, you English pig dogs” at the end of any correspondence.

13.) 30 Jan 2023 18:17:20
Chelsea are building a very strong team now adding Enzo Fernández. wouldn't count them out of a good push for top 4. Lots of other teams also doing good business.
WE are a shambles.

14.) 30 Jan 2023 18:23:04
Please don't say anything negative about our owners, you will be labelled as someone that just doesn't understand.

They are brilliant and have really capitalised whilst we were on top. Hope our fall from grace affects them financially cos that's all they care about.

15.) 30 Jan 2023 18:40:43
Club Plan : Drop off as far as possible. Lower expectations.
Get 2 midfielders in summer, crack on and finish 4th and say how successful it is and we’re back on the up.

When in reality we could’ve signed 2 nobodys who can Run and finish 4th now.

16.) 30 Jan 2023 18:42:55
Suppose we'll see what happens when everton beat us and real dump us out of champions league.

17.) 30 Jan 2023 19:27:25
Chelsea have three good midfield players mount, gallagher, (loftus-cheek would do a good job for us how about a Cheeky bid! ) to sell which would more than pay the 70 million for caicedo.

How much would we make from selling any of are "over the hill" midfield players!

{Ed025's Note - i dont know bond...captain mainwaring is looking for recruits.. :)

18.) 30 Jan 2023 19:41:25
Geez people say some dumb things when they’re emotional.

How about this - FSG continue to build the club whilst the guys they appointed to perform on the pitch continue to regret not doing anything in the summer.

19.) 30 Jan 2023 19:44:26
magico Chelsea are not building a team, they are building an over sized squad. My little lad smashed it in his game at the weekend, I'm expecting a £50m offer before tomorrow ends.

20.) 30 Jan 2023 19:55:16
What's more dumber than sitting in a five star stadium watching a one star team?

21.) 30 Jan 2023 20:09:06
Hello Ed025, i note EFC are "rolling the Dyche" very good appointment, he already has made his mark on JK when he waited for him in the Anfield tunnel at half time in a premier league match a couple of years ago, when JK went the colour of boiled "Barry White"!

He also took Burnley into Europe, it was no coincidence on a meagre budget that when Burnley sacked him they went down the same season. Burnley lead the championship at present, one hopes they don't swap leagues at the end of the season, the best of luck to him. The amount of vitriol you receive on here will lessen now with him in charge.

{Ed025's Note - he seems a good fit for us bond but only time will tell, he never had the backing at burnley that he probably deserved, mind you of the frying pan for him now with our finances mate..

22.) 30 Jan 2023 20:09:27
Walkon 79. Well I'll bet that over sized squad put more of a fight for 4th spot than our injury ravaged bare bone crew we have.
That Enzo Fernández blows everyone of our midfield away alone. That is a good buy.

23.) 30 Jan 2023 20:12:25
Furthermore walkon. is your lad a left wing attacker. believe liverpool are looking for a couple of these in the summer as the haven't got a pot to p. in for the Bellingham fund.

24.) 30 Jan 2023 20:17:23
In a year we’ve got from a world class team to a laughing stock, in part due to FSG’s utter lack of ability to fund the team, or want to.

25.) 30 Jan 2023 22:38:40
Transfer-wise we've stood still, when everyone around us has moved forward - so we're going backwards.

26.) 30 Jan 2023 22:41:34
@007 “What’s more dumber” …. how about saying the same thing over and over again on a fans forum that carries no weight whatsoever in the LFC club or FSG business decision making processes?

Just as an aside the report of Liverpool looking at midfielder availability on loads made it onto social media early last week and, as usual was hyped up as a ‘sensation’. Of course it wasn’t and is somebody with a lack of thinking capability coming across a bit of ‘business as usual’ data and because of their prior lack of knowledge and general ignorance immediately amped it up for the delectation of those others of equal lack of awareness. Anybody who thinks that the club doesn’t constantly assess the state of the market - permanent and loans - probably shouldn’t comment on the running of the club.

27.) 30 Jan 2023 23:53:34
Hes yet to kick a ball for them magico. Anyway I should just ssshhh and try to be as positive as you.

28.) 31 Jan 2023 02:38:07
We went backwards last year too, apparently. I know if you keep on saying the same thing when things aren't going well that eventually the disaster-fication may come true.

29.) 31 Jan 2023 08:25:28
Isn't "what's more dumber" an ironic statement in itself?
I was spot on about changing "Monday" to "Moanday".
Lots of Prozac and calls to Samaritans at the moment eh?

30.) 31 Jan 2023 08:29:08
My 1st post for many years. I think fsg have been good owners, yes they have made a few mistakes here and there. But not investing in the 1st when we were at the top, is now coming back to bite them on the ass. If they are not careful they will tarnish all the good things they have done for LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB. yes we are a shambles this year and it hurts watching us play so badly. But let's all hope klipperty can sort the mess out in the summer if we have any money.

31.) 31 Jan 2023 08:36:35
With only 12 hours to go before the window closes, suggest all posters keep their heads down, otherwise Chelsea might make a bid for You!

32.) 30 Jan 2023 13:26:23
Hi Ed002, this might be a tough question and with klopp saying no incomings possibly pointless but what loan options do you think are out there in midfield?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Liverpool looking for another loaner - Arthur should be fit soon.}

33.) 31 Jan 2023 10:02:43
Hi Ed,
Just a quick question, are we any closer to identifying a sporting director? From my viewpoint we've being embarrassing strategically in the transfer market since Michael Edwards has left, IMO we've wasted £120m on two attackers which were not a priority, Thiago was our only midfield signing in 4 years (Melo loan discarded), it just feels negligent or is it just a question of poor judgement and Jurgen's blind loyalty to certain players?

{Ed002's Note - There is no rush.}

34.) 31 Jan 2023 10:48:28
I highly doubt that Michael Edwards chose which players to sign. Klopp has final say with that regard, I think.

Besides, Edwards is also at fault for giving huge contracts to our players. Which works fine if they're performing but it also created a lot of problems in moving some of them (eg. Keita and Ox) on.

35.) 31 Jan 2023 15:06:38
@West Derby Wanderer, "Whats more dumber" You prefer a good stadium, i am the opposite probably like you have done in the past, i have stood on the Spion Kop and watched successful magnificent team's even though standing in "Barry White" surroundings and amenities, i put up with it then and i would put up with it now as the team will always come first for me and not the stadium.

This is a football banter forum which would be quite boring if we all agreed with each other, i "WANDERER" which preference fellow posters would opt for?

18 Jan 2023 13:34:21
Seems Qatar based journalist and Pearce are going at each other ?

1/ I didn’t tell anyone ( Deal done )
2/ I didn’t tell anyone that the interest had stopped
3/ I say that there is a problem with the sales percentage, we want the highest percentage

Any Liverpool fan expecting an imminent takeover followed by a major spending spree in the transfer market is set to be disappointed.

I told everyone on here from the start, there will be no massive take over. We are not that lucky.

2.) 18 Jan 2023 14:07:01
Never rated James Pearce tbh, he just jumps on the bandwagon when we sign someone like he had insider knowledge. Like fabs, Diaz and Gakpo. But most journos do this.

3.) 18 Jan 2023 14:07:46
Il take everything James Pearce says with a pinch of salt.

4.) 18 Jan 2023 14:09:54
FSG Propaganda Mouthpiece v Qatari Government Propaganda Mouthpiece

Choose your fighter.

5.) 18 Jan 2023 14:10:41
Well no need to check the site anymore LiverpoolFC8 has decided. Cheers fella.

6.) 18 Jan 2023 15:15:18
I don't mind James that much. I'd fault him for occasionally being an extension of the club's public relations department, but at the same time, he's being told things directly. He doesn't seem to make anything up. Now, whether some of those scoops given to him contain real truth and whether they're deserving tough follow up questions is a whole different story.

7.) 18 Jan 2023 15:16:47
Looks like FSG will leave us in the same position when they first came seventh.

Watching a second class team in a first class stadium only benefits FSG and non football fans who go to the pop concerts held at Anfield, and they will disappear when Bramley Moor opens.

A female friend who lives in Old Swan will be disappointed as she told me recently when they are held at Anfield she sits in the back garden with a glass of wine listening to the crystal clear music being played.

8.) 18 Jan 2023 17:17:14
What are you talking about 007? I had to read that about 5 times and I’m still none the wiser.

9.) 18 Jan 2023 18:50:06
Been on the mushrooms again 007? Lol.

10.) 18 Jan 2023 19:52:40
Hey MartyMcfly2,

Is that all you post "character assassination", ye have a History of throwing ye toys out of the pram, like early season last year!

beckers pecker, ye can lead a horse to water but ye can't make him drink? do you need to read that five times as well!

P. S. Ye should have put 6 times as that's the number of times we have won "old big ears" and that is nothing to do with the horse! Any true LFC supporter will tell you who "old big ears" is ask MartyMac2.

11.) 18 Jan 2023 20:52:12
I'd be fascinated to see his reaction when he reads that lot back tomorrow.

15 Jan 2023 19:32:13
Chelsea have nearly spent the same amount (£468m) in the last 6 months as Liverpool have spent (£500m) in the last TEN transfer windows, dating back to the summer of 2018.

kopforever

1.) 15 Jan 2023 20:05:03

2.) 15 Jan 2023 20:29:30
That tells you what a miracle job Klopp has done especially when we were completely down and out.

3.) 15 Jan 2023 20:48:00
@ froverkopp, which also tells us, the natural cycle of aging players has come back to roost.

4.) 15 Jan 2023 21:15:52
Agree leekuanyew mate but we all knew this day was coming so I'm not surprised as some fans here.

5.) 15 Jan 2023 21:32:10
Chelsea have Been hit with injuries worse then us and they aren’t our problem fair play to them spending it’s nice to have it!

6.) 15 Jan 2023 22:40:14
Can’t remember but didn’t Chelsea have a transfer ban during some of the previous windows and therefore have money from sales (like Lukaku) still to spend.

7.) 15 Jan 2023 23:15:12
Zed mate you're talking about transfer ban which was almost half a decade back which lamps got all the money to spend.

The sum above are literally only from 6 months which has eclipsed almost a decade of our spending ?.

8.) 16 Jan 2023 02:06:31
Chelsea may have spent more than us but how many of the players that they bought would we have liked to arrive here instead? I can't think of a single one tbh.

9.) 16 Jan 2023 07:51:40
Who cares what Chelsea are doing? They have bought a load of rubbish and are still crap! Open to offers for Sterling too.

10.) 16 Jan 2023 19:18:06
Marty& Dracred Don't think you are giving the Chelsea signings enough credit, don't know if it's out of anger at your form or that they spend more than you but nkunku and Mudryk look world beaters, they just signed one of the best young cb in the world, they have a good young cb there already in Fofana. They are building towards a bright future with all they highly regarded youngsters. Would not surprise me if they are challenging for everything in 3-5 years if thier young players reach the highs they can.

Until ed2 says something is happening I won’t believe any media. But it is fun to get excited. As a player he looks an outstanding talent. Truthfully I only saw him against us and highlights on you tube. Anyone actually seen him more than that?

3.) 08 Jun 2022 18:26:09
I’ve read 80 million and 17 million in add on.

4.) 08 Jun 2022 18:33:57
{Ed 002’s note - Charles Robert Darwin FRS FRGS FLS FZS was an English naturalist, geologist and biologist, best known for his contributions to evolutionary biology. His proposition that all species of life have descended from common ancestors is now widely accepted and considered a fundamental concept in science. Considering he has been dead for 140 years it’s hard to see where he will fit into Klopps plans.

5.) 08 Jun 2022 18:45:56

I think it'll be officiallly announced before that happens aoe. like Fab, virg, jota etc.

Let’s hope it happens and it’s a great deal. Still would love to hear anyones opinion on him who has seen him more than twice.

8.) 08 Jun 2022 19:09:49
Darwin Nunez for us. Darwin award for Man United.

9.) 08 Jun 2022 19:15:29
Sangare would be a great addition. Never know we might bid for him if he's affordable and we have the money.

10.) 08 Jun 2022 19:24:12
I avoid Twitter, it is peopled by halfwits who believe football is a sport player on Twitter and the team who spends the most in summer wins.

I had a little leak just now. The consensus is that is we sign Nunez, Bellingham and Gnabry…. we will be in a position to compete next season.

Idiots, idiots everywhere.

11.) 08 Jun 2022 19:39:39
Sangare would be ok. Wouldn’t cost the earth and he’s young enough to develop.

12.) 08 Jun 2022 19:44:57
Read somewhere that 35 mil for Sangare anyone watch him this season.

13.) 08 Jun 2022 19:52:18
Why0why if that’s our business this window then we are in business next year again . the sideshow of contracts never helped us 1 iota on the run in . Can’t see that happening tbh as I’m sure Bellingham is staying put this summer but nunez and a right fullback and carvalho is a great window IMO.

14.) 08 Jun 2022 20:46:03
When do we expect to hear more? Would be excellent if this happens. but I ain't getting my hopes up yet.

15.) 08 Jun 2022 20:47:11
DHFC

Okay lad, seems absolutely in line with “points at history” all of the things we have previously done.

Maybe we can match the Mbappe deal as well whilst we are at it.

16.) 08 Jun 2022 20:48:09
Klopp clearly plans for Darwin to help the team evolve.

17.) 08 Jun 2022 20:29:25
Anyone else spare a moment for Tristan desperately watching every Nunez match this year in preparation of doing a players review.

18.) 09 Jun 2022 07:42:47

Thats three seasons ago though. Virgils stats look great that season too.

2.) 16 Aug 2023 21:42:13
Same money we got for Hendo goes straight on Endo. Let's get behind the lad.

3.) 16 Aug 2023 21:46:57
Similar player to Sobo, but without the ability!

We need a DM, not a past it, never was, AM.

It’s really gotten ridiculous now.

4.) 16 Aug 2023 21:49:50
Indeed - and I believe his assist and goal stats are decent for a DM as well.

The defensive stats have to be viewed from the perspective that Stuttgart were battling to avoid relegation though. He was going to be doing a lot of defending. Looking at the percentages would be more telling.

5.) 16 Aug 2023 21:52:40
I welcome him to the club and wish him all the best if he ends up joining. Rather than complaining about unknowns better to get on with it. If he has the right brain and attitude, it will work fine for us. The stats look impressive even if it is not the 'best league in the world'.

6.) 16 Aug 2023 22:26:13
Endo is a safe choice, which at the moment is great news considering what we’ve lost. He ll be solid which is exactly what we need. If we sign him and amrabat aswell I’ll be chuffed. Cracking player. All in all that’s a good outcome after the mess over lavia and ciacedo.

7.) 17 Aug 2023 00:30:59
RedScarFace - the stats are SINCE 2020-21, not just FOR 2020-21 ?.

14 Aug 2023 21:15:03
Maybe Jorg Schmadtke can't close the deal and we need Klopp's Blackpool magic again ??.

kopforever

1.) 14 Aug 2023 21:23:07
Blackpool, fish and chips and a Klopp hug always seals the deal ?.

2.) 14 Aug 2023 22:20:03
Yeah, we need another Revolution. Maybe not The Big One like when Klopp first came in but one to get us To were we where a few seasons ago.

29 May 2023 08:49:25
The owners need to dig deep. If they’re serious about Liverpool getting back to competing for trophies they need to back Klopp with hard cash. The blow of missing out on Champions League riches won’t pass as an excuse for not addressing the squad’s weaknesses. ” James Pearce.

1.) 29 May 2023 08:54:59
Nice to see the journalist voicing against the board and FSG. A good bunch of these clowns used to regularly blow them! Now they realize the task in hand. This wasn’t the case if Newcastle wasn’t bought by the Arabs.

2.) 29 May 2023 09:06:07
Hard cash as in notes and coins? I reckon our rivals would prefer bank transfer. A dump truck full of 70 million Pound coins might result in Brighton refusing to deal with us. Silly James Pearce.

3.) 29 May 2023 09:30:04
We don’t need to spend loads, we just need the right players. Quality players can be found cheaply. This is where the scouts earn their money. Also decision makers need to be brave and take a chance on the cheaper alternatives that have been identified.
Costly players have as much chance of failure as cheaper ones being successful. Let’s learn from the Keita experience.

4.) 29 May 2023 09:21:20
We all want to buy the best ie JB and more but the ffp is never talked about. Are we ok to spend 150 - 200 mill on 4 player just for example.
Obviously we can sell as well.
Eds2 could you answer this please. Is our ffp all good to spend big this summer?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool do not have any FFP issues. They have considerable debt that needs to be serviced.}

5.) 29 May 2023 09:47:24
Thanks for the reply eds2.

6.) 29 May 2023 10:00:53
Nice one, MKS. Maybe someone needs to ask James Pearce (the same guy who's been peddling rubbish about LFC for months now) that if we have considerable debt that needs to be serviced then should FSG "dig deep" hence, go deeper in debt jus to satisfy his own wishes?

7.) 29 May 2023 11:16:49
The James Pearce who said the squad didn’t need anything last August and was ready to compete on all fronts again? Is that the same guy?

8.) 29 May 2023 13:04:08
On this occasion, James Pearce is correct, The team needs significant investment, which does require the owners to dig deep.
It could be argued, the reason that Liverpool have missed out on the top 4 riches, is down to failure to invest in the team adequately.
Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea and now Newcastle will spend big again, so that is 5 teams chasing 3 champions league spots.
The teams that spend the most, are nearly always the winners of the big trophies. Bayern, Man City, Real Madrid etc.
Klopp will struggle again next season without serious investment in the team.

9.) 29 May 2023 20:06:08
Greenflash, we do not need serious investment, IMO. We just need to get the right players in that can help us improve where we need to improve and MacAllister is a good start should he sign for us. That does not automatically mean "significant investment" either cos there is no indication that this will happen, IMO. Strategic investment is what I would call it and is what I think we need. That's just my opinion. Your comparison with Bayern, Ream Madrid etc. is just stuff that is off topic and won't bother to address.

As for Jalmes Pearce, he is NOT correct and has not been correct about anything in donkeys, IMO. James Pearce is not breaking any news by what he has said, based on the quotes the OP posted. We know what needs to be done and the hope is that we can do it, that's it. James Pearce is only doing doing what a lot of journos today now do as in, state the freaking obvious. Peace and Love.

10.) 30 May 2023 02:57:36
Judging by the responses Pearce is doing a good job. His job is to get people to respond. Like all journalists if nobody reads / responds there is no job for them.

28 May 2023 20:38:17
Klopp when asked about summer break: “No, not at all. I will be busy on my phone this summer"

“A really busy period hopefuly starts now, in a different area of the game. I'm more than happy to do that”.

kopforever

1.) 28 May 2023 20:53:40
Kpforever, he prolly said so cos that's what certain people want to hear. Again, I wouldn't care what Klopp or the club says in the media cos words in the end, mean nothing. Watch what the club actually does. Just my take.

2.) 28 May 2023 20:59:39
Get Klopp off that damn phone.

He will not be able to help himself and start tapping up everyone we are considering, rendering our efforts pointless :P.

3.) 28 May 2023 21:04:47
He's going to be on the phone to Bellers old man to finalise the deal for his son to LFC. Am i the only one here that still thinks he'll sign regardless of the media bumpt?

4.) 28 May 2023 21:09:10
Klopp tomorrow in the Phi Phi islands like ? ☀️ ?.

5.) 28 May 2023 21:43:58
Tch.

The season's been over for a whole 3 HOURS and no signings announced yet.

Klopp out.

FSG out.

The club need to progress with quality management like Sam Allardyce.

6.) 28 May 2023 22:52:54
Sam Alladyce is an embarrassment.

7.) 28 May 2023 22:55:22
To be fair @SR, Jurgen is packing up the caravan, even as we speak. I hear he’s setting up summer base underneath the South Pier this year.

8.) 29 May 2023 03:01:28
I think SR is onto something w Big Scam.

9.) 29 May 2023 10:16:55
Mango, we should put barbed wire on Klopp's phone if your premise is correct which based on empirical evidence and precedent, it is.

Jk23 mate depends on payment structure. If Dortmund want single payment upfront then we don't have any chance.

Our biggest problem have been not having money in the bank despite doing really well financially on the paper.

Most of our signings have come by spreading payment structure 3-5 windows except 1-2 which has really hamstrung us compare to our rivals.

FSG have done unbelievable job of balancing the books and Klopp overachieving and being our most successful manager in last 3 decades which says a lot how special he is.

But now with todd boehly spending like there's no tomorrow, arsenal City UTD even spurs and Newcastle spending more then us have really changed the scenario for us coz neither we have any assets left to supliment our transfers which has been our bedrock under FSG.

Think this transfer window will make more things clear for us which direction will be heading especially when massive rebuilding is needed.

Will never be able to compete against other clubs financially. Unless we have different set of owners. The last decade has shown even top of the tree we couldn't compete financially against clubs who weren't in champions league forget now when we need massive rebuilding.

The way things are going unfortunately I doubt Klopp or FSG are going to last much longer.

There's a reason they've been testing the market to see how much billionaires are willing to pay for us hence going publicly last few months.

VV mate we can always do Instalments deals or else we wouldn't have been working extremely hard finding a midfield behind the scenes.

There's a reason we have been in contact with agent's and trying hard to find a solution if possible before the window shuts.

As I said couple of days back once we lose you here all kind of potential buyers being leaked Including Bellingham transfer etc.

Once we win you'll see completely opposite news especially from naysayers.

Will need to pay 120M upfront just like we payed for our both signings which can be difficult for club especially when Klopp said we over stretched For MC and I'm sure we offered a structured payment tho.
