Seems Darwin is done the club will announce it very soon.

1.) 08 Jun 2022 18:18:30
Here we go. Now for a class midfielder and we are good to go 😎.

2.) 08 Jun 2022 18:23:21
Until ed2 says something is happening I won’t believe any media. But it is fun to get excited. As a player he looks an outstanding talent. Truthfully I only saw him against us and highlights on you tube. Anyone actually seen him more than that?

3.) 08 Jun 2022 18:26:09
I’ve read 80 million and 17 million in add on.

4.) 08 Jun 2022 18:33:57
{Ed 002’s note - Charles Robert Darwin FRS FRGS FLS FZS was an English naturalist, geologist and biologist, best known for his contributions to evolutionary biology. His proposition that all species of life have descended from common ancestors is now widely accepted and considered a fundamental concept in science. Considering he has been dead for 140 years it’s hard to see where he will fit into Klopps plans.

5.) 08 Jun 2022 18:45:56
£68m + £17m add ons!
30m mane softens the blow!
Now sell ox Keita Philips neco Karius!
And gets engine for the middle plz!

6.) 08 Jun 2022 18:58:24
I think it'll be officiallly announced before that happens aoe. like Fab, virg, jota etc.

7.) 08 Jun 2022 19:09:29
Let’s hope it happens and it’s a great deal. Still would love to hear anyones opinion on him who has seen him more than twice.

8.) 08 Jun 2022 19:09:49
Darwin Nunez for us. Darwin award for Man United.

9.) 08 Jun 2022 19:15:29
Sangare would be a great addition. Never know we might bid for him if he's affordable and we have the money.

10.) 08 Jun 2022 19:24:12
I avoid Twitter, it is peopled by halfwits who believe football is a sport player on Twitter and the team who spends the most in summer wins.

I had a little leak just now. The consensus is that is we sign Nunez, Bellingham and Gnabry…. we will be in a position to compete next season.

Idiots, idiots everywhere.

11.) 08 Jun 2022 19:39:39
Sangare would be ok. Wouldn’t cost the earth and he’s young enough to develop.

12.) 08 Jun 2022 19:44:57
Read somewhere that 35 mil for Sangare anyone watch him this season.

13.) 08 Jun 2022 19:52:18
Why0why if that’s our business this window then we are in business next year again . the sideshow of contracts never helped us 1 iota on the run in . Can’t see that happening tbh as I’m sure Bellingham is staying put this summer but nunez and a right fullback and carvalho is a great window IMO.

14.) 08 Jun 2022 20:46:03
When do we expect to hear more? Would be excellent if this happens. but I ain't getting my hopes up yet.

15.) 08 Jun 2022 20:47:11
DHFC

Okay lad, seems absolutely in line with “points at history” all of the things we have previously done.

Maybe we can match the Mbappe deal as well whilst we are at it.

16.) 08 Jun 2022 20:48:09
Klopp clearly plans for Darwin to help the team evolve.

17.) 08 Jun 2022 20:29:25
Anyone else spare a moment for Tristan desperately watching every Nunez match this year in preparation of doing a players review.

18.) 09 Jun 2022 07:42:47
Akira didn't call this one.

23 May 2022 19:05:56
Seems Salah's agent is working very hard in coming days instead of LFC vs Real will be dominated by Salah to Madrid 🙈🙈.

kopforever

1.) 23 May 2022 20:11:04
Only if you believe the clickbait crap that's out there.
Which clearly some do.

2.) 23 May 2022 20:30:03
Not when Gab marcotti talks abt it he's one of the most respected journalist out there.

It's a Golden opportunity for Salah's agent coz Madrid are hurt and desperate for big name player after being rejected and kind of humilated publicly.

They've decent pot of money to spend and once again Salah's agent is trying if he can crack a deal for he's client. Can't get better opportunity then that when Both mbappe and Haaland rejected Madrid and opening door for Ramy Abbas to pitch he's client.

3.) 23 May 2022 22:20:41
I hope Salah stays for a couple more years and develops a central forward role so we can integrate a younger player on the right wing. As for the Madrid game, the lads have enough experience to know what they need to do on the day. I don't think Madrid goading Salah will have much bearing on the game.

4.) 24 May 2022 04:38:20
Good.

If they offer anything above 50 million I would bite their hand off.

5.) 24 May 2022 07:43:41
Real Madrid have other targets but if they want anyone from here it won't be Salah. more like Sterling than Salah at the prices people are talking.

6.) 24 May 2022 07:48:53
All that "information" on Salah being gleaned from a journalist.
I've been reading every season how Salah is off to Real Madrid and folks on here convinced it's happening.
Yet Salah is still here.
Don't believe everything that you read.

7.) 24 May 2022 09:14:13
I could care less if Salah leaves or stays. Until we have Klopp we have nothing to worry about. I have faith in Klopp and any player he brings in. Our recruitment has been fantastic over the last few year. Barring Naby we've not made one poor big money signing imo. So, I trust Klopp and his team to find a suitable replacement for Mo, if he does decide to leave.

8.) 24 May 2022 10:19:46
And outa that 50 million you might get Ismaila Sarr and a small bit of change! No thanks i'd rather the player whos scored the most premier league goals over the last 5 years here.

9.) 24 May 2022 10:22:12
Sure why would Madrid want him anyway? he's been crap the last 3 months😉.

10.) 24 May 2022 15:18:21
It's a 50/ 50 thing for me, as to whether he stays or goes. On the one hand we say he is too old and no team will want to risk a large outlay for an older player. And then we see Barcelona being seriously interested in Lewandowski who at 33 is 3 years older. And on the other hand, LFC is still home for Salah. This is where he truly became world class. It won't be easy for him to leave just and only for the paycheck. Mbappe has clearly said that one of the reasons he has stayed is the desire to stay "home", for now.

11.) 24 May 2022 15:49:46
It's not that he's too old.

It's that he's not worth the money he is asking for.

Take away the penalties and about half a dozen players scored as many goals as he did.

And he is not integral to our team the way Ali, VVD or Thiago are.

So the idea that he should be paid more than them is nonsense.

12.) 24 May 2022 20:13:54
Don't talk bollocks. he's 1 of the greatest in world football is salah. Team wouldn't be where they are if he wasn't here.

21 May 2022 15:43:03
Hello ed2 mate after Mbappe confirming staying at PSG will Real go for Salah now or they've other options?

kopforever

{Ed002's Note - Salah would not be at the top of any list of options. But of course remains a possibility. Liverool want his contract resolved.}

1.) 21 May 2022 16:29:23
Thank you ed2 mate 😊👍.

2.) 21 May 2022 18:00:45
Why is Salah not desired? He is an elite level player, with a great injury record. What is it about him that makes him so unappealing to others?

{Ed0666's Note - His hairstyle

3.) 21 May 2022 19:04:52
His agent.

4.) 21 May 2022 20:15:48
I find it two faced the way la liga making complaint over the deal ( mbappe) . Spit your dummy out boys. I’m made up he never went there, why would he?

5.) 21 May 2022 20:38:42
John it makes me laugh considering how much Madrid and Barcelona we are paying some of their players pot and kettle.

{Ed002's Note - The have to work under tighter restrictions that Liverpool.}

6.) 21 May 2022 21:40:51
Is there something shady going on because La Liga (yes the Spanish league) has said they are complaining over "non-compliance with UEFA's financial fair play".

Really? ¬_¬ Lol.

{Ed002's Note - It relates to the wage bills of clubs in respect of UEFA guidance and local FA guidance.}

7.) 21 May 2022 22:55:17
Ed002 I never thought we could sign Mbappe well out of are pay league but I just makes me laugh the way the Spanish league are moaning about PSG with the money some of there clubs pay in wages.

{Ed002's Note - It is to do with compliance - some clubs can pay a lot more than others.}

8.) 21 May 2022 23:10:25
Just need to scrap ffp now the arab clubs do what they like with uefa happy to to let the psg guy even pay his way onto the board.

{Ed002's Note - Or maybe perhaps you should try and understand it.}

9.) 22 May 2022 03:25:52
Regards Mo, I just rekon the other elite clubs don't see him as influential on a team as he is in our system.

10.) 22 May 2022 06:00:08
I think Mo and Sadio may find part of their success and improvement as players might have something to do with the way JK has us playing and they might not hit the same heights if / when they move on.

That said, and as I’ve said before, I’d be really happy for them to stay and - along with Bobby, Luis and Diogo - give us five first class attacking options next season.

11.) 22 May 2022 07:11:25
WDW few Arsenal player found that out under Wenger thought they was better than they was till they left Arsenal and was nowhere the same players away from Wenger. Not saying Salah and Mane won’t be good somewhere else but they do fit how we play and if they do go good luck to them thanks for the memories but am sure Klopp will replace them and we will be just as good if not better.

{Ed077's Note - Both Salah and Mane are near 30 (sorry I mentioned it, some of you will now come for my throat lol) and so there is a good chance that they start to wind down as the start to exit their "prime years" regardless of a change of club or not.

But Liverpool do have a system tailored to facilitate the wide forwards, specially in getting goal scoring chances.

2.) 15 May 2022 19:02:56
If we win our last two and City fail to beat Villa we win the title.

23 Apr 2022 15:39:32
City 🙈🙈.

kopforever

1.) 23 Apr 2022 15:52:27
City were always going to beat Watford. Watford are as good as relegated and they’ve got Roy Hodgson in charge, this was never a game to pin any hopes on. It’ll be a cricket score by full time.

2.) 23 Apr 2022 15:59:53
Imagine pinning your hopes on Watford 😂😂😂.

3.) 23 Apr 2022 16:27:18
Tbh Roy has got an ok record against pep, after going 2-0 up Roy completely went nuts on the touchline and tbf Watford tried to throw everything on city by trying counter attacking them, went long balls after long balls in city's box even tried to use their physicality on city which completely disrupted city's play coz city were literally forced to kick the ball as high as they can for 8-12 minutes and yet they scored 3rd.

If this game was played in the begining of the season just like their last game against Brighton then easily could've been drawn just like they lost 9 points in their Last 10 games but coz of what's at stake and Only 6 EPL games to focus they're playing with more determination, agression and purpose which is a big change compare to 2 months back :- (.

4.) 23 Apr 2022 17:17:37
Every game City and Us have left we are favourites for because both teams are so far ahead of the rest with regards to ability and quality.

It’s blind faith that we believe City will definitely drop points against any of their opponents and be 100% certain we won’t.

All we can do is win all our games and leave it in the hands of the gods.

5.) 23 Apr 2022 17:32:45
Tbf Watford and Brighton would be near the bottom of the list of sides in the league you’d back against them, at their own stadium nonetheless. They’re two sides that always get pasted by them no matter what, much like Burnley.

Wolves, Leeds, West Ham, Villa, Newcastle all have a much nicer ring to them.

6.) 23 Apr 2022 17:59:52
Let's hope and pray you're right Woolback mate.

7.) 23 Apr 2022 20:35:12
Newcastle are looking an altogether different proposition these days, especially at their own place.
That will be a toughie.

8.) 23 Apr 2022 20:37:46
Imagine pinning your hopes on Gerrard?

9.) 24 Apr 2022 00:20:04
I don’t see who else we can pin our hopes on. Losing to Leicester and West Ham, and drawing with Brentford and Brighton are the reason we are here needing snookers.

10.) 24 Apr 2022 02:14:21
I can accept having a bad day at the office against West Ham and Leicester, what I can’t accept are the 5 draws where we had the lead and threw it away, often multiple times in the same game. A team of our quality should never have allowed those results to happen.

Having said that, even despite our wastefulness the only reason City are ahead of us is down to of huge helpings of luck piled on high with all the trimmings. 8 points handed to them on a plate via some of the worst refereeing decisions ever seen in the Premier League era, and that’s before you mention the 6 or 7 games they played against ravaged squads during the omicron wave while remaining untouched themselves. They’ve had about as much luck as it’s possible to have.

Based on all that, it would be nothing short of a catastrophe if we didn’t win the league, irrespective of what else we may win during the run in. I think we’re the better team out of the two sides and have demonstrated that over the course of the season. It doesn’t feel like 2018/ 19 where there’s nothing to split the two teams. I’d feel absolutely devastated if we didn’t win it.

11.) 24 Apr 2022 04:34:01
People asking here like the seasons done so it’s pointless watching the rest? Really, I’m 29 and this is the first time ( these past few years) and ve seen our time being xponenof the best (if not number one£ teams in the world.
Enjoy it.

12.) 24 Apr 2022 09:54:11
If City didn't draw twice with Southampton and drop 5 points to Crystal Palace then we'd not be near them. These things happen.

13.) 24 Apr 2022 11:58:14
VVVV, City say the same thing if we win the title so not sure what difference that makes. Watford and Brighton were favoured to get battered just like Utd and hopefully Everton were penned down to lose against us.

City were favoured to win games they didn’t win just like we were so twists and turns can still happen so let’s just wait and see before we give up on the team and manager who have scratched and clawed City’s lead back to being on the brink of immortality. Dream Until You Can Dream No More, would be my advice.

12 Apr 2022 22:55:15
The way things are going seems Saturday will have a mini CL final glimpse tho what say ed66 mate.

kopforever

{Ed0666's Note - it’s like the old Liverpool v Forest rivalry back in 1870’s! I love it mate.

1.) 12 Apr 2022 23:57:24
Nope.
We’re playing Real in the final. Just as we did on the way to victory in 81 in Paris. Oh, and in 81 West Ham played a European quarter final too 😉.

2.) 12 Apr 2022 23:56:37
Ed 666
You’re really old and founded the 2 clubs before they were founded 🤣.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m so old I had grey hairs at childbirth 😂

3.) 13 Apr 2022 00:10:54
For me City is the strongest, if they play to their potential then this Madrid defense is going to struggle against them.

Anyways it's ifs and buts I'm just happy how things are falling in place for us to reach another CL final. Let's hope we do the job can't get better chance then this tho.

4.) 13 Apr 2022 01:01:31
I’m just glad we’ve got a walkover to the CL final. There doesn’t seem to be much point turning up for the Benfica or Villarreal games.

{Ed0666's Note - We typically don’t fare well against teams that set up like them. Forget their league position they are a cup side and Emery is a cup manager. We can’t afford to take them lightly. It’s no way a walkover as they just beat a Bayern side who is littered with ballers.

5.) 13 Apr 2022 01:50:12
Madrid won’t beat City that’s if City they do over come athletico!
We just beat benfica and get past villareal hopefully! Villareal won’t be any push over either don’t be counting your chickens yet!

6.) 13 Apr 2022 03:13:34
I got the irony in your post WDW and we will be in for a tough match if we get past Benfica. For some reason though, i always feel confident playing teams in yellow. Maybe its the Dortmund and Norwich results in the past decade, or perhaps because subconsciously it is harder to gift the ball to the opposition if the colours are highly contrasting. Off the top of my head i can't remember the last yellow team to beat us while were playing in our home kit.

7.) 13 Apr 2022 07:52:01
Ed0666 is right about them being a cup team. No matter what it's not going to be easy but let's face it, if we were offered the chance to get Benfica then Villareal to get to the final then we all would've taken it when the quarter final draw was being made. I don't think this manager or these players take anything or anyone lightly so they will be switched on tonight. I'd go as strong as possible. Get the game done and dusted then use 5 subs to give players a break.

8.) 13 Apr 2022 08:23:56
Lovely subtle irony from WDW.

9.) 13 Apr 2022 08:48:01
I don’t think it’s a walk over as they say don’t count your chickens.

18 Mar 2022 11:16:32
Ed66 mate you must be happy with the draw and that too starting away can't get better 😊😊.

kopforever

{Ed0666's Note - mate absolutely made up with that path to the final I mean draw…City play Madrid twice, us, Burnley and Wolves in the space of 15 days I think it is. Ironically although we’re a point behind I don’t think we’ll have a better chance of doing this quadruple thingy. If I was a City fan right now I’d be smiling my pants because they may beat Atleti over two legs but believe me Atleti will leave their mark in a dubious way. April seems ominous for the City Slickers if you ask me.

1.) 18 Mar 2022 13:21:11
Ed0666 atletico are a nightmare for city they will play like Spurs have this season but are a far better team than spurs.
Think city have been lucky a lot this season and if I had the choice I would rather play city than Chelsea as city give chances away.

{Ed0666's Note - Chelsea also yield chances mate. Every team does it’s just if you take advantage or not. I’d rather play chelsea as city can steamroller you if they get in a groove. Let’s not take benfica too lightly tho or if we go through Bayern either

2.) 18 Mar 2022 13:37:15
Good draw that. didn't want any 2 legged games against city r Chelsea. Treat benfica with utmost respect which I'm sure we will, and I'm v confident we will go threw.

3.) 18 Mar 2022 13:43:40
I believe you, Ed. City could get battered and bruised vs Atleti even tho, I think they will win. Benfica eliminated Ajax where Ajax were absolutely dire but Benfica deserved their win so we have to be very careful with them.

{Ed0666's Note - we have the ability to create drama even when there’s no need Oli so I’m not counting my chickens just yet mate. It’s never a walk in the park watching us play every season. 😂

4.) 18 Mar 2022 14:47:34
That draw couldn't have been much better to be honest. Staying away from the other PL and Madrid clubs for as long as possible. Brilliant!

Now I just hope that we can avoid picking up any injuries over the next couple of weeks.

5.) 18 Mar 2022 14:55:48
Grino - Atletico are a better team than Spurs but perhaps less suited to playing Man City.
My worry with Atletico is that, while they have some top players, they lack outlets/ runners to allow them to break on City. Spurs, on the other hand, have a world class striker in Kane and one of the best outlets in the game in Son. Atletico’s technical level is superb, but Carrasco is the only player in that team that can run. I’m not sure they will be able maximize the openings City will undoubtedly leave. I’d expect a Chelsea/ City semi-final.

6.) 18 Mar 2022 18:30:44
To be honest who cares who comes out of the other half of the draw at this stage? We just need to worry about Benicia when the time comes to play them.

Still, it’ll be nice in Paris in May 😉😉.

Zed mate the same source (Portugal journalist) UTD have sent their delegation to pursuit he's agent (George Mendis) coz UTD now have clear picture what we have agreed with player agent and he's club. It seems to me it's a desperation move to throw last dice and see what pops out.

No one is knocking door for Salah mate which makes it very difficult.

Lets hope some desperate team can offer him huge chunks of their money which might change tho.

kopforever

{Ed0666's Note I’ve had a change of heart - I honestly think it’s time to sell. He’s clearly asking more than the club want to pay him which is his prerogative but if we’re not gonna give him what he wants let’s not loose out on a decent amount of money and if it’s means sacrificing a season then so be it. FSG are not gonna break a wage structure and for good reason and that’s their prerogative also. If Madrid want him then so be it. Let the love story end a year early, break ups happen. We just gotta stop with the bottom lip tremble wipe our eyes and find another sweetheart. Torres left, Suarez left, Sterling left we got over them. We’ll do the same again. No one is bigger than Liverpool Football Club.

Jadon mate other players wages have no bearing what MO and VVD are getting.

LFC turnover is 600M a year giving MO or VVD 20M a year is just drop of a ocean for LFC.

Problem is it will then be precedent for others and new signings hence LFC is very very careful when it comes to wages.

Nunez is big example despite being our biggest signing in-terms of transfer fee he's wages are very very low in single figures. Coz the precedent already at the club is low. For example if he had gone to UTD he would've been on double figures wages wise coz their precedent is very very high compare to us and many clubs.

kopforever

{Ed0666's Note - I think it’s been reported that Nunez is on circa £140k a week of true we have to be appreciative of that because no doubt United would have blown us out the water wages wise so he’s already a star in my eyes for blanking them.
