Do yo know if we have submitted a bid for Divock Origi?
If so was it accepted?

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

Is James Rodriguez likely to stay at AS Monaco or leave as he looks pure quality? Who is interested, if anyone?
Also who is interested in Juan Cuadrado?

liverpoolfan1

{Ed002's Note - I expect he will stay for next season.

Juan Guillermo Cuadrado has been subject to the interest of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Juventus and his co-owners, Fiorentina & Udinese. Manchester United, Spurs and Liverpool have had the player watched. Juventus has confirmed that they will not be following up. Barcelona were looking to replace Dani Alves with Cuadrado but due to the delay in the sale of Alves have probably lost out to Fiorentina who are finalising the purchase of the rights held by Udinese. That will allow them full control over the future of the player. An auction between Monaco, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona would suit them, else they will keep him another season.}

Who is interested in Julian Draxler

liverpoolfan1

{Ed002's Note - There have been offers and enquiries for Draxler. Both Milan clubs, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea have enquired at one level or another about Draxler - each has met a "not for sale" barrier. I expected a deal might be brokered this summer and Arsenal are the team that have consistently pushed for a deal. The player has given mixed responses to interest from Arsenal and they will have moved on now. PSG are looking for a player of that style but are likely looking elsewhere now. Schalke don't want to sell but another option to be offered by Bayern Munich and AC Milan is a pre-payment and a one year loan back to Schalke. Although I think the chance of a move to Italy very unlikely now with Milan's interest elsewhere.}

Hello all,

I'm young and don't know too much about our previous successful sides in the past. Can anyone enlighten me on Roger Hunt as a player, know very little about him yet he's our second highest goalscorer of all time.

Thanks.

One of only 11 Englishmen to win the World Cup.

A bit in the shadow of Ian St John but a natural goal scorer who could play football if you wanted to but who could look after himself if the opposition were ‘up for it’.

{Ed0666's Note - interesting mate why do you think he was in St Johns shadow mate?

2.) 12 Jun 2021 07:41:05
Sir Roger. enough said!

3.) 12 Jun 2021 08:17:12
Like most of the sixties team Hunt would run through a brick wall for Shankly, he scored 244 goals in the league and was an extremely accurate finisher, right foot, left foot, head, it didn't matter to him. He also worked very hard, think of Firmino on steroids.

4.) 12 Jun 2021 09:33:57
Ed0666, not a comment on either of their skills - just that Roger was a more reserved sort of bloke - wasn’t shouting from the rooftops or anything.

{Ed0666's Note - 👍

Hi Ed's, not strictly solely Liverpool related but just wondering how long do players typically get as a holiday after a season before they return to training. Also does it differ player to player or club to club. Thanks.

liverpoolfan1

{Ed001's Note - it varies from club to club and also player to player due to international duty, but they do have to have a minimum break each summer. I believe the guideline is 3 weeks, but I could be wrong on that, it is just off the top of my head, so that might not be correct.}

1.) 03 Jun 2021 11:22:15
It is 3 weeks as a guideline ed001, though players can agree to a shorter one and in some instances request a shorter one (Usually where the player has come back from a long injury and would rather get back to training asap)

{Ed001's Note - cheers Mo, I thought it was but wasn't entirely sure.}

2.) 03 Jun 2021 14:05:35
Random Q - do players accrue annual leave, sick leave etc?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Hi all,

I have seen rumours of interest in Naby Keita from Leicester, Crystal Palace and Ateltico Madrid. Are these rumours true at all?

Would be amazing if we could get any decent amount for him and Ox considering their injury record.
If Ox naby and Gino were to go and replaced with bissouma and another midfielder (Neuhaus/ camavinga/ Aouar) would be amazing business and leave us looking much stronger.

Also, are any sides interested in Mane and are Liverpool open to selling? Really hope Salah is not to be let go

Thanks.

liverpoolfan1

{Ed002's Note - It is not as simple of that as there are countries that would not give him a Work Permit.}

1.) 17 May 2021 20:28:24
Keita would get a work permit here. Kane swap deal for Naby, Divock sounds fair to me.

2.) 17 May 2021 20:33:23
I think Naby will struggle to get a work permit in most countries considering he hasn’t put in a days work for the last few years.

3.) 17 May 2021 21:05:35
Keita?
Is there a reason?

4.) 17 May 2021 22:32:49
Acered is that deal plus £100m?

5.) 18 May 2021 00:28:56
Ed, does being a captain of a national team have any impact on work permit, also his high wage? What aspects are holding him back, Guineas poor international performance?

{Ed002's Note - No, it is nothing to do with that.}

6.) 18 May 2021 12:07:45
Do any viable teams hold any interest in him ed or does it look like we're stuck with him?

{Ed002's Note - I am told Leicester discussed him when discussing another player with his representatives.}

So happy with that performance and result. Honestly one of the best performances I've seen. Every player on the pitch tonight had a very good game, was particularly impressed with the midfield of Keita, Wijnaldum and Henderson along with Firmino and of course Trent. Could single out anyone of the players tonight for a quality performance. Also goals free flowing alongside the return of clean sheets. Premier league table looking very nice currently and while it's not over yet, every win takes us one step closer to that elusive premier league title. To think we also have Minamino to join in a couple of days as well as all of Fabinho, Ox, Matip and Lovren to return from injury relatively soon. Very exciting times to be a Liverpool fan. Have no real point to this rambling just over the moon to support this fantastic club and be able to watch the world champions put in performances like that. YNWA.

Agreed. If our finishing matched our football today. It could’ve been 10 nil.
Let’s not forget that Leicester are a top top side with arguably the most in form striker in Europe. They didn’t have a shot on target. Amazing Reds.

What is the current situation with Skrtel, are teams interested? And is Klopp looking to sell?

Thanks in advance Eds, love your constant hard work.

liverpoolfan1

{Ed091's Note - he is open to being sold }

1.) 22 May 2016 19:21:33
Do you know of any teams that are interested?

{Ed001's Note - Besiktas have spoken to us, as confirmed by his agent. Galatasaray were interested and there were a couple of Chinese clubs sniffing round too.}

2.) 22 May 2016 19:31:28
His agent has said Besiktas want him.

3.) 22 May 2016 20:11:02
I know it means Nothing but found it quite funny that he liked an Instagram post saying he should be sold.

I agree that Thiago for Gini is an improvement, and while I have little knowledge of Konate, I trust Klopp that he will be another improvement to the starting eleven. However other factors have also changed.

Alisson’s performances last season were below his standard, he had horrible personal circumstances but it is not a given he returns this season at the level of before, Van Dijk, Gomez and Matip all have had long spells injured and are unlikely to return at anywhere near their form of 2 years ago. Henderson’s getting older and injuries are becoming more and more frequent. Firmino’s form has slowly fallen consistently for the last 2 years and doesn’t show any signs of returning to previous levels. And finally Mane, he was one of the best players in the world last season whereas last season he would struggle to have been top 10-15 wingers in the league.

Now, it is very possible every single player mentioned reaches the levels of 2 years ago, and if any man can do it, it’s Klopp. However, I do not envy him as he has a serious task on his hands, other sides are getting stronger, and I’m not convinced we actually are.

While complaining we aren’t signing Mbappe, Sancho etc. is futile and was never going to happen, we can dream, and it is only natural to be envious seeing rivals spend big. However I’m sure everyone agrees to support the team regardless of who is playing (we did in much worse times than now) . It is not a case of being entitled, we over a period of 3 years were one of the best teams in the world, and fans understandably want to stay there as we now have a taste of what it’s like to really be one the elite and boy does it taste good.

I can get a 20% student discount that applies to England kits from jd sports taking it to about £52 I think. If anyone here is interested I’d be happy to share a code (can only be used once but get a new one every 24 hours) . The code also applies to most things from jd sports including kits although some items are excluded.

I know it won’t happen but I would love Barella, he seems like the exact centre midfielder I think we need. Raphina also just seems like a winger made from use. Sell some of the rarely used squad players and bring in Barella and Raphina and were winning it all, I’m fully aware there is 0 chance of this happening.

liverpoolfan1

{Ed0666's Note - nothing wrong with hoping and dreaming mate. Eds 001 dreams of losing his virginity all the time. Hope springs eternal.
