I have a sneaky feeling it’ll be like 2018/ 19, where the winners are effectively decided in one epic semi final whereas the other will be battled out between the underdogs. Obviously Real and Atletico are way better than Ajax and Spurs were, but nobody seems to be backing them to make it past City and Chelsea. I think that they will and surprise a lot of people. I’m predicting a Liverpool v Real final with Ancelotti bottling it at the final hurdle to us once again, delivering us sweet poetic justice and revenge.

I’ve mentioned something similar before, but now with some added spice.
The only times Liverpool played German opposition in the last 16 of the champions league was in 2005 and 2019.we went on to win it in both seasons.
The last time neither Ronaldo nor Messi got past the last 16 was the season 2004/ 05.

With all the talk of the need for a CB in Jan and not many around, how about a player Klopp has managed before (albeit fell out with) - yes, Mr Sakho!
A nice quick 6 month loan would go down nicely - surely better than how Caulker’s period transpired.
I’d have him and Fab being our defensive pair over Rhys or Nat every time.

For me, I was so excited as a young kid when signing Kewell. Remember checking teletext daily to see if he’d sign. A shame that injuries robbed him the chance of showing his true form for us especially as he turned down the cream of Europe to join us.

That's a shame ed002. Some posters expect info before any deal is finalised and if/when things turn out against what was said by the eds/macca, it's almost as if they're to blame when clearly anything can happen in football. If you need a reminder, think back to the whole Robinho Chelsea/City fiasco.
