Hi ed002 hope all is well. just a quick question regarding the Gravenberch rumours that he's signing for us according to Enrique. do you know if we're in talks with Bayern or even looking at the player? And also what's you're opinion on him as a player as I've not seen much of him if I'm honest and all I know is that he was well thought of when he was with Ajax.

I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool to Bayern Munich and Team Mino are certainly not offering him around. If Liverpool has gone directly to the player again they may want to start fearing the worst.

There is no doubt he is a good player and would be a good option to Bellingham.}

Thanks for the response Ed’s much appreciated. hopefully we’ve done nothing stupid and talked directly to the player. Enrique says they all share the same agent so perhaps Liverpool has done the right thing and just put the feelers out to his agent to see if he was up for the transfer… ??‍♂️ but who knows… Ed’s with the amount of players we’ll be letting go wouldn’t you think both Gravenberch and Jude would be viable?

What other clubs are speaking to Bellingham eds? Real and?

{Ed002's Note - Jude Bellingham (CM) Manchester United and Chelsea were keen before he moved to Germany and will both be interested if he comes up for sale. Expect serious interest from Manchester City, Real Madrid and Liverpool as well. PSG can be discounted as they won’t have the funds in the summer and it is unclear how any club would get on with an offer if not in the Champions League. Dortmund will not be forced in to selling him and will seek a huge fee when he is sold but ideally they would like a new contract to be agreed. I do expect Real Madrid to press for him but may they want to include a player or two in the deal, as they do not value him at anything near what the asking price will be if Dortmund decide to sell. Real Madrid cannot afford Gvardiol and JB and I expect them to prioritise Bellingham. Four clubs have declared an interest and perhaps serious talks will begin soon. Three clubs have been reported for meeting with his father to try and influence a move. Dortmund will probably force a written request from the player (costing Bellingham 5% of any transfer fee). His “representative” wants the player to move to Madrid; his family, apparently, want Liverpool but have also been courted by Madrid. Right now Real Madrid likely have an edge but I would not discount Manchester City. Liverpool are already looking at other more financially viable options. I would discount him joining Manchester United or Chelsea. €150M minumum. Agent Mark Bennett fears BD will significantly up the asking price if pushed and that is already an issue for Liverpool and Real Madrid. I expect Real Madrid will win out by offering more bonus payments to BD. }

Not a chance of Bellingham why would he sign for a team that’s looking not to even make the Europa cup. We only have ourselves to blame poor owners not backing the manager and the manager being too loyal to bang average players. You reap what you sow.

Do you think the club are looking at more viable options for if we do not finish in the top 4? And if by some miracle we make top 4 they will push ahead and allocate money for Jude, and others of that ilk. Is there any estimate on what funds would be available in either outcome?

Thanks Ed02, very informative. I’m quite impressed with how Real Madrid conduct their transfer business.
Within 2 years they will have added Camavinga, Tchouameni and now Bellingham probably, thus reducing the age of their midfield.
No doubt they will look at a top class striker next, to replace Benzema. They seem to identify where they are weak or have aging players and get the job done.
Yet, here we are again reading about Liverpool tapping up players again.
Why does Klopp keep doing it, in any event it seems futile as Liverpool will not be able to pay the financial package required to sign Bellingham.
