If reports are to be believed that Man City have offered 44 Million for Sterling and 120 large a week to Delph then the world has gone utterly insane. There has to be some sort of equilibrium introduced into the equation, football cannot sustain this type of idiocy! What message does this send out that abject mediocrity (Delph) and holding your employers to ransom (Sterling) will be rewarded ten lifetimes of financial reward. Something must be done about this wrecking ball. We are all to blame its not just the Arab's etc. We give Murdoch ridiculous fees in exchange for a bit of high tech gadgetry, live games and Monday Night Football. We give the clubs what they want in match fees etc. We aren't the victims were the sinners! Enough I say and let's take football back!!!! In other news I'm warming to the idea of Benteke. Yes I said it.

Doesn't matter if you rate him or not, Delph was clearly Villas stand out player and has been in good form. He is an England international and approaching his peak years. His cheap buyout is around half his value, so even with those wages City got a deal.

Sterling although I now hate him and find him, his agent and his actions vile, is doing what many do to get moves just a lot more public. Players have done the same to move to us, as recent as last season.

By the time you've read this post City's owner has earned enough to cover both transfers.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City need to comply with the FFP requirements like everyone else.}

I was right there with you up until you started talking about Benteke - who we're probably going to pay £30m+ for with a £100k+ per week wage thrown in.

Agree with Max. City got a great deal in Delph.

I think £8 mil is about right for delph. I don't get how the lad has got an England cap. I see nothing that makes me think he's in any way ever a decent player.

Word up did you just make that up? Most England fans I know see him as the best central midfielder England have. They're not even Liverpool fans.

Bobatron, it's true. A lot of people don't see Henderson like we do. They still think of the guy we were trying to flog to Fulham, rather than the player he became.

Hmm guess different circles have different views. Every one I know rates him including Man U, and Everton fans,even the ones that mocked him at first have come around.
