Watched United tonight (wasn't great fun) and so now I have watched all the other big four teams over this weekend. I can say that the fans of all of them have a lot of reasons for optimism. Even Chelsea, despite the poor start, we all know they will come good. The two Manchester teams are in the best form I have seen them for some time and both play very attraactive football. Memphis Depay will be the signing of this season IMO, top class player. Arsenal also look good, don't let that first loss mislead you. With Sanchez they are a great team.

I said in the summer that we would be far far behind these four teams already in Xams but I was honselty secretly hoping I am wrong both about us and about them. I now think the gap is even bigger than I imagined.

Depressing. We deserve better and we could get better with a different manager. Call me a moaner but let's talk after our games against Arsenal and United.

Let's talk after Man U play well consistently, they looked bad vs Villa, and Tottenham would win if they took their golden chances. I agree their signs are more positive than ours, but don't be too worried just yet.

you need to learn football man united are in form they had 3 shots in total in the first 2 games of the season and beat 2 poor sides with a own goal and a deflection, please go and support someone else giving in after 2 games your a disgrace as for tonight they played club brugges at home and went 1 nil down before scrapping a win against a poor team yes depay scored 2 good goals but were was he in the 2 prem games. IMO you need to learn the game if unuted play rooney up top all season they won't get 5th never mind 4th rooney is a player who plays in the whole not a scorer watch them struggle for goals this season

Wayne, it's not a disgrace to have an opinion different to yours. Blind faith leads people of cliffs my friend.

You've been wanting to pull that line out for a while, haven't you Mark. Couldn't even wait to find context, ya just threw it in there like a good aussie butchering the written word.

Lionred how are you so sure we will beat Arsenal? Your comments are farcical. We may beat them yes, but Arsenal are a better side no doubt.

Also forgot to add how can Chelsea take have optimismfrom there two league games?

Yeah they will come good with the quality of squad thy have but to say they can have optimism from them games is a joke.

Fanobip we played not so good and got 6 points from 6 , united played poorly for most of last season and got top 4.

The gap you're on about doesn't exist in terms of squad quality it will only be the manger who hampers it.

Great reply Melbourne. It's so much easier to attack the person than to counter the argument.

In all honesty, I know top 4 teams are the competition but we shouldn't be judging our performances based on theirs. What if they all start heading for relegation zone? Should we be following them on the way down?

I'm with fanobip on this one, a different manager and this team, we could really challenge for the title.

Manchester United have been as bad as us if not worse. They scabbed it against run of play v spurs. They were shocking against villa. Let's see how they get on against stoke and Bournemouth. May beat Bournemouth but stoke will do them over in my opinion.
They haven't improved that much to be honest I expected much better players to be bought by them. Cavani, benzema that kind of calibre. Don't think much of schweinsteiger and even Pedro if they get him.
I'm more happy with our squad as it stands although like united a big name CB would of been nice. When were fit and on form I think we'll be flying mate. A couple more edgy games should do it
